Five w VAD, Hurricane Helene has wrecked havoc across the
eastern seaboard. It especially parts of North Carolina that have
been hit really, really hard. And the inaugural Field and
Stream Festival was supposed to take place this upcoming weekend.
That's the one Eric Church was putting on, but now
they're postponing it. A note from the festival organizer said
that the damage has been severe widespread flood flooding. Power
(03:18):
is still out, and Luke Holmes, who is also a
North Carolina native, also said that he sends his thoughts
and prayers and he said that he's cooking up really
something special. He said, me and my team have been
making some calls and I think we've got something lined
up to help the Carolinas as much as we can.
More details to come asap. And Eric Church, also from
North Carolina, sending out messages of hope and boots are
(03:40):
on the ground for Red Cross for those wanting to
know how to help out. And Marina Lambert isn't the
only award winner in the house. You know, She's taken
home a lot of ACMs and CMA's, but her horses
do pretty well too. She took a break for being
a country superstar and went to show her horses at
the Oklahoma State Fair and brought home some blue ribbons.
She's got some pretty horses. She's got pictures up on

out Madison Square Garden, played Central Park, had a police
escort through Manhattan so that he could go straight from
doing that to being the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
How crazy is that?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
What a week end?
Speaker 1 (04:24):
He said, He's riding in the back of a police
escort on his way to SNL. So he said, what

generators from Jerry Pipus Electric. You know, a slot's long
nails aren't actually nails.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
What are they?
Speaker 1 (05:41):
They're bones that protrude from the skin and then they're
wrapped in a layer of keratin. But yeah, those are
those are bones.

They are so cool to me when I come back

Speaker 4 (05:53):
I knew it. See that's just not right.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
You know when you go to open a loaf of
bread and it's got that kind of U shaped plastic
clip that holds the bag together.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
I hate that little clip.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Well, they are produced by one family owned company in Yakima, Washington.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
The clip is made by a family.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yep, it's a quick Lock Corporation and they have almost
a complete monopoly. They are the only ones that make
those little plastic clips.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
Yes, that's crazy. I know that's crazy. A family that
has bread clips and they have.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
A monopoly on it. Nobody else makes them.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
They make them all smart.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Let's talk about a big puppy dog, the heaviest dog ever,
a Saint Bernard, A Saint Bernard named Benedictine, weighed three
hundred and fifty seven pounds. Jee the Domino in that
Domino's Pizza logo. You know how it's got three dots. Well,
those three dots signify the company's three locations. When they
started in nineteen sixty nine, they had planned to add
(06:50):
a dot for every new store, but they expanded way
too fast to keep up. Because they have more than
twenty thousand locations now worldwide.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
That makes sense, all right.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
One lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice, but

Dallas Cowboys over the New York Giants, who was twenty

in Jacksonville pulling up twenty points yesterday.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Well it didn't look that good for my fantasy football team.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Uh oh, well you have this.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Well, I didn't do great in one of my leagues
where we have a rule that if someone doubles you
up in points, they get to change your team name.
So it looks like depending on how the game goes
Monday night. I might be getting a new team name
and it's not going to be flattering.

You Need to Know onp Have you heard the term
sleep maxing? Yet it's everywhere on TikTok gen Z is
all about it. But it's where you obsess over getting
the perfect night's sleep. So they're using all these different
over the top packs like mouth taping or what they're
calling sleepy girl mocktails. They claim you'll get the best
(09:02):
sleep of your life if you mix cherry juice, seltzer
water and add in magnesium powder. But a lot of
sleep experts aren't sure that it's really a good trend though.
While prioritizing your sleep is great, obsessing over it might
not be so much.

two month old baby for a six pack of beer
one thousand dollars cashier's check.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Come on, tests, are you serious?
Speaker 1 (10:03):

an agreement with the man attempting to buy the baby
was supposedly acquired by a deputy. It's absolutely crazy. Court
document state that the man told detectives he wrote the
contract for the parents to sign, but explain no money

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Northwest Atlanta, it has happened. On Friday, a couple of
Universe of Georgia football fans had to overcome some severe
flooding caused by Tropical Storm Helene because they were trying
to make it to Tuscaloosa for the Georgia Alabama game.
So Atlanta high schooler and Georgia fan Peter woke up
to find his lawn of his home completely underwater. His
car was fully submerged, but his friend Ben said, no way,
(11:20):
we are getting to the game, so he found a
way to rescue his buddy so they could still go
to the game together. So Ben called multiple Dick's Sporting
good stories until he found a raft. Took thirty minutes
to employ the raft, Brilliant rode over to his friend's house,
rescued him from his flooded homes, and then the two
friends took off for the big game in Tuscalosa. You know,
Ben was confident throughout the rescue. We're saying that he
(11:42):
was nervous, but yeah, they shared this passion for Georgia football. Unfortunately,
none of that would be enough to help keep Georgia
from losing to Alabama in Saturday's game. But he got
a raft and rescued his buddy so they could still
make it to the game.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Telling you that's a good friend friend. The boy was
born with it. He was the man way to go

They have their cargo trailer parked in the lot just
