It’s only been four days—so is this totally crazy, or should she take advantage and go for it? Our listeners weigh in on what they’d do in today’s Group Chat.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's mikey V, Frankie V and Gianna. So what day
is on Monday? Popping your hair? What's Monday? Monday? A
mile is Monday?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yes, Vanessa, you know something's going to be more expensive
when single to mile this year than any other year.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
This year?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, this year fifteen percent more and Mike is gonna
be upset about this. Tequila prices are right now about
fifteen percent higher this single a mile then last year's
single to mile. So if you're looking to get that
high end tequila, you might want to step it down
a nuts.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You can get something a little bit cheaper.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
It's a terriff.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
It is because of the terrorist yes, is that why
I don't like?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah, because of the terrorists is doing to the tarists
on the Mexican imports.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
They probably are now about fifteen percent.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Wow, maybe I won't get in trouble this and go
to mile that's too expensive to get.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
In trouble this year. True.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Danielle is in Medford, right down the street, at school,
at work. You tend to forget things often all the time.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Sometimes I feel like I'm experiencing early onset dementius.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So it's not that luckily it's not that. Here's the
reason why it's happened more and more now than before.
It's because people are typing on their phones or on
a computer to take notes during the meeting. Experts say
you should go back to handwriting the notes because it
triggers your brain to remember more so what you want
to do the next minue you have with your boss
instead of happening on your laptop or doing it on
your phone, taking this little notepad like back in the day,

(01:17):
nice little pen and write down what your boss is saying. Five.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Have AI listen and take the notes.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Four You okay, that's the worst. You're never gonna remember anything,
but the AI will. And this is why robots will
take over the world.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Like in the movie Hopefully We're gone. This is exciting.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
You're definitely gonna learn something new about us right now.
To Truth in a Lie Kiss one O eight. It
is Mike EV, Frankie V and Gianna and Brockton Alisa.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You ready to play? Yes, here we go.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
You know how it works. We all give you a
factor a lie. You have to guess who is lying.
Play along your car as well. It's Mikey V the
younger brother. Yes, me and Frankie both have veneers right now.
But it's actually because we are both missing the same
two teeth. Wow, so we are both miss the same
two teeth. We had no choice about to get ven
years gets. It's genetics.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
False. Yeah, it's the older brother Frankiebee.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
So our mom, mommy, if you sent us his photo yesterday,
and I'm embarrassed to state she says, I'm seven. I
think I'm probably ten or twelve, but I'm in a carriage,
like a baby carriage, wearing goofy ears on my head,
sucking my thumb. Apparently we're at disney World, and that's
how I was getting pushed around as a ten, probably
twelve year old. And it's probably more Frankie now too.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Truth and a lie. On to the amazing Gianna.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
So I grew up in Revere, and there used to
be a carnival in Revere right by the old Showcase
Cinemas that's not there anymore. But my parents did not
ever allow me to go to this carnival. So one time,
what did I do? I snuck out and I went
with my friends, and of course my parents did end
up finding out that I was at the carnival and
I was grounded for a.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Long long did image getting grounded? We go to the
Revere Carnival. Yeh to a lie? Who do you think
is lying?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Guys?

Speaker 5 (02:54):
It really has to be mikey V. Like, there's no
way that you guys are missing the same two.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
The crazy thing is we both are missing the same
two teeth. We used to have like bridges and that
pop out. We played sports, but outside of your two
main deed where you're both missing. So genetics got the
best of us. I think our mom's missing them too. Actually,
Frankie's having a kid sooner. That means the liar is

(03:24):
is me.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I never went to the Revere Carnival because it was
true that my parents did not allow me to go
to the Revere Carnival.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
So I never even risked it.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
I never snuck out.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I can't believe I thought that you were the one
that was telling the truth for sure.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
No Noval and frank you was tucking his thumba nine.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
And there we go, two truths to the liar. Kiss
went away.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
We all overspent. It happens right, you go to the store,
you spent too much money. I mean, Tatiana is in Pembroke.
I'm here to help. Have you heard of the one percent?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Role? One percent? The one percent? Think about this real quick.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
When you go shopping, anything that you're about to purchase
that costs more than one percent of your salary, okay,
you should wait twenty four hours to think about it,
because that's going to kind of give you some guiltiness
and make you feel like you shouldn't do it.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
So so I makes one.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Hundred thousand dollars a year than any prige is over
one thousand dollars, you have to think, you know what,
I need twenty four hours. I got twenty four hours
to figure this out, and finance pro say this is
a great way to avoid the impulse buys that end
up adding up real quickly, because you can start doing
one after the other. If you wait twenty four hours,
you'll start to feel guilt towards yourself for wanting to
persss that, and you might not buy it.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I did this, and I wanted a really pricey bag,
a designer bag. I wanted to treat myself. It was
probably like five percent of my salary and I think
about it every day.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
It's been months and I think about it.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Every single day, and I'm sad every.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Day that I didn't buy it, So that's numerous days.
You can go buy it now.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Okay, so I have permission essentially.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, from the one percent rule.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yes, so we all want to, I don't know, get
a promotion at work, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Make more money. Right.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
There's actually one simple thing, Megan and etic that you
can do to look smarter.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
From your boss. Okay, okay, this is pretty easy to do. Gianna.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
What's your middle name, by the way, Teresa, Mike is
uh Joseph Williams.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
So what you want to do to make yourself seem smarter.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Maybe having call yourself like Michael Joseph. No, so all
you want to do, I don't even need the full
full name. You you got to put the middle initial
when you tell people your name, so you're you're mikey
j you know, instead of Michael. Back up now that
that's you funny. Yeah, So what you want to do
is middle initial when you're telling people's names. Combining seven

(05:30):
different studies into one subject, research has found that people
came across a lot smarter when they just dropped their
middle name into it, just the first letter.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
When giving your name to somebody.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Oh, I'm starting that right now.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
What is it? Tell us?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
The initial is l oo Erica L.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
You tell everybody you're Erica L. And next thing, you know,
you're going to get, you know, the job that you've
wanted you. You know, everybody's like, man, she's so smart.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Oh yeah, I love the letters.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
It's actually a big weekend in front and I want
to get everybody in the know. This. Okay, Tina, this
week and this three major things happening. Are you ready
for this?

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Today's May first, and we start off with a bang.
On Saturday. It is the Kentucky Derby.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
On Saturday Day and I forgot people loved it partying
and drink on that day.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Then Sunday is Star Wars Day, May the fourth, May
the fourth be with you.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
And then on Monday it's Singled a Mile.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
And if that's not enough, the following Sunday is Mother's Day.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Oh wow, busy time.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
I mean I can't wait.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
I'm gonna have a blast.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
And my favorite thing is I have not yet seen
justin Timberlake on my Instagram story.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Matured doing group chat. We'll get you bye.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
We gotta explain exactly what's going on, and yes, this
is also keep you anonymous.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
Okay, So I need advice because like three or four
days ago, I met this guy. He's a great guy.
We end up completely hitting it off. We ended up
hanging out like the next day. For the whole day.
We've been texting NonStop, and he just asked me to
go back to Miami with him because he's going there
for work. Okay, I think now, but I'm not sure.
Is that crazy?

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Wait? Wait is it? This is it? This weekend?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
It's this weekend?

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Hold on, wait, where did you meet him? Exactly?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
So?

Speaker 5 (07:14):
I met him at a concert?

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Okay concert, I will say this.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
After me and my wife started dating, we went to
Miami like three or four days later.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
And look you guys.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Now, you guys are thriving. I say, go to the
Miami trip. Do it up?

Speaker 5 (07:28):
I love that, Because I love that.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I said, you only live once, but you want to
stay living. I don't know if that's what you want
to do, is go with some random guy you just
met a few days ago to Miami. Gianna's making funny
face in the studio.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I would say, go, but be on your toes. Maybe
bring some met Gianna.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Watching your toes just because he's four eleven.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
All right, I'm curious with the average person go to
Miami with the guy you've known.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Honestly, what four days? You said?

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Like?

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Three days even better?

Speaker 1 (07:56):
I'm gonna give you the benefit of doubt. Four days days.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I should she go on this trip to Miami and
it's this weekend Brenda's and Quinsy, that's a hard no.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Do not do that.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
I don't care if it's free or not.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
But like, that is way too soon. I've done some
stupid things and I'm safe. But you know, you gotta
play it smart.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Thank you for joining group chat. Now Emily, you're in Revere.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I say share your location at all times with everybody,
because a free trip to Miami for a weekend is
still a free trip to Miami.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Yeah, you get there and you ditch the guy, right.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, like you can go with somebody else because you
already have the tickets regardless anyways.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Get.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah, yeah, anybody who offers a free trip to Miami
five didn't and knowing somebody, it's half thicking. They're getting used,
but it's gonna be a good time, all right. True,
share the location as a key to this thing. All right,
thank you very much, and use the men who down.
One note from Yes, Melanie, you're in debtim something even

(09:01):
more wild.

Speaker 6 (09:01):
Yes, I knew a man for a week and flew
to Italy with him for two weeks.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Wait, first off, wait, how long ago was this, oh boy?

Speaker 6 (09:12):
Ten years ago? Twelve years ago?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
And are you still with this guy? Or is it
a fun trip in yeah?

Speaker 6 (09:16):
Oh no, no, it was a short lived thing, but
it was the trip of a lifetime. Didn't regret it.
My mom ended up meeting me in Italy regardless. I
was ready to go.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I colus more about the ship. So you just met
the guy. You're in Italy for over a week?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Or was it? Oker? Was it fun? How to go?

Speaker 4 (09:33):
It was good?

Speaker 6 (09:33):
I mean he's from there, so he got to show
me by boat, by motorcycle the entire multi.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Coast and you just trusted him right away.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Well, I vetted him out a little bit. I mean
I worked with him. I worked at a restaurant, so
I asked the owner about him, I asked management about him.
I asked people that lived around the North End if
they knew him. So I vetted him out a little bit.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Okay, So after doing a little vetting work a little
behind the scenes. He's okay to go to Miami with
this guy, I think, so, I.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
Mean get a little info, but I mean ghost war it.
It's Miami.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Valero felt on top of the world going to Miami
for free and to you call and started talking about Italy.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Okay, I love it.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
So this is actually having me earlier today. Grocery shopping.
I know Lisa's in Waltham. You know the express lane, right, Yeah,
when you have like ten items or lesson, you go
up there and the person in front of you starts
loading their stuff on the little alarm what's it called
the confrere belts And they got like they got like
fifteen items instead of the ten.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
What do you do? How do you handle that situation?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
I make up a little slid call it like that's
that's more than the allotted amounts.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Well, you confront them.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I probably don't say much. I probably slide whatever I
want to say things.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
But I'm like one of my New Year's resolutions was
to not fight with people in public anymore.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
So, so a study was done to find what people
actually do. Most of us, seventy six percent of people
would just sit there and wait patiently until they move on. However,
eighteen percent of people said they'd make irritated noises to
safe step under their breath, just like you said, and
four percent of us would actually go up to the
cashier say excuse me, there's fifteen there and this sign
says ten express police.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I don't know if I can go that far.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
You'll stick under your breath. Comments Yeah, yeah, I'm listen, Belmont,
I smiling.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Some guy canceled a.

Speaker 7 (11:22):
Date on me tonight, and I have never been more happier.
Fe I wanted to cancel on him, but I felt
we were doing it, and then he canceled on me.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
I was like, oh my god, Win, not with your
free night tonight. What are youna do well?

Speaker 7 (11:39):
I'm a bit of a gym rat, so I'm going
to go to the gym and try to find me
a better looking name.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I'll say one thing. We're all well fed and celebrating
Syncle to Mayo today.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Kiss went away.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
It's Mike E V, Frankie V and Gianicicadoba like catered
our studios today and they brought a full spread getting
us ready for Sinkle to Miles. If you do want
cater around. Actually don't even know that bringing like there's
a hot plates and everything. I go to Cadoba dot
com slash catering.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
It's my new cologne, and we go home. My wife said,
where's mine?

Speaker 2 (12:06):
You know?

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Cause yeah, also speaking of Sinco to Mayo. Another thing
that we forgot to celebrate yesterday was halfway to Halloween.
I never said happy halfway to Halloween.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
But you are in my life. Yeah, you're the person
who loves Halloween the most.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
I am the Halloween Queen.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
I love that we didn't forget that. It's not a holiday.
You don't celebrate that. Hell, you can't forget to celebrate it.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
You can watch a scary movie, which I'll probably do
tonight because I forgot to do it yesterday.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
But also this weekend.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Besides you on the list of a lot of people
celebrate halfway to Halloween, who else on that list?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
I know there are people on Instagram because I saw
reels and stuff that said it way to Halloween, but
you can't celebrate this weekend. It's you know, we always
talk about how Boston is beautiful on the weekdays and
really crappy, specifically on the weekends. It's going to rain
all weekend and earlier today, I was talking about the
Revere Carnival. That's no longer a thing anymore, But when
it was a thing, we always talked about how it

(13:00):
brought a rain curse to Massachusetts. Anytime this carnival was
in Revere, it would rain and rain and rain. But
now I'm like, what what do we have to blame.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
For the Johanna's head During our show, you just said everything.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
That I've been waiting to say all day. It's Halloween
and there's a rain curse that we don't know what's
causing it anymore.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Because the Revere Carnival's gone. That's it.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
That's a wrap, all right, Well more of that tomorrow.
Don't miss out two to seven every afternoon. Mike E. V,
Frankie V and Gianna
