Speaker 3 (00:07):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Here's your low Country Lowdown with Palmetto Life, Emily Z.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
She is getting set up in the Palmetal Life studios
over at Live five with our low Country Lowdown. Here
is Emily Z. What's going on this morning? Hey? Rick?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
All right?
Speaker 3 (00:18):
The North Charleston Performing Arts Center is something for the
dance fans the next three nights River Dance thirty. It's
a fusion of Irish and international dance and music. They
will be at the pack the next three nights, so
you got three chances to come check these amazing dancers out.
They're celebrating a thirty year milestone, so this is their
special anniversary tour. So it's going to be a lot
(00:41):
of dancing, a lot of great music.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
They're actually coming there a lot of years.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Well yeah, maybe thirty.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah, thirty years that's right, almost as old as me.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
I wonder if about any of the people from thirty
years ago still stomping up there on stage or is
it all new people every year, because they stop pretty hard,
Like I'm pretty sure if there's somebody in there from
the original cast they had new they have new knees.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, I can imagine that would be hard on the
body to.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
That lot of stumping.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
So they're actually coming on my show this morning and
they're gonna show me some steps.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I have to see that. I want to see how
you handle that.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, I'm kind of nervous.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Is it going to be epic? Are iconic?
Speaker 2 (01:20):
It's gonna be iconic?
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Epic an iconic or two different things in my mind
in my vocabulary.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Do you already have an Irish accent you're gonna use?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I can't do Irish, I can do British.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Do that. So the River Dance people stomping on the
Live five set today knocking stuff over? How many how
are you gonna cram in there?
Speaker 2 (01:38):
I don't know, hopefully all of them.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Well make sure they don't go up those fake steps,
because if they're stomping on that, the whole set's gonna
fall down.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
That's where Bill Walsh lives.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
That's right up there.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
He can't stump too hard or else he's gonna fall
through the ceiling.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
And River Dance is at the North Charleston Performing Arts
Center next three nights. So if you're if you're looking
for a great show to check out and a lot
of stomp and in a lot of dancing and a
different accent, but still in a language that you can
understand for the most part. It's happening tonight with River Dance.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I didn't know you were such a big dance fan.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Oh I show no public displays of rhythm. I like
when other people do it.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Interesting. So you'd like to watch dancing, but you're not
a dancer. I don't think I've ever seen you remotely
do a dance stuff in any no public rhythm.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Okay, River Dance tonight, and you can get a little
preview this morning on Palmeto Life. I definitely I'm setting
my I'm setting my DVR for that now because I
want to see vil how much they embarrass
Speaker 2 (02:32):
You have my dance and shoes on.
