Speaker 1 (00:00):
First of all, are y'all watching you?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
And I? Five?

Speaker 3 (00:01):
Is The Erica Show, Amber ENTRMP My Carolina CBA seventeen
weekdays at nine, American idol.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Oh, y'all can't talk about that? Never mind?

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Yeah, I know that's a hard part because I'm like
the neutral girl.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
I have to Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
So Travis Kelsey is a tease.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
He's doing a press conference and they're like, so, are
you proposing to Taylor?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
And he was like, wouldn't you like to know?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
And so my instant thought was like, well, that's a
definite no, he's not going to do it.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Also, are they already married? That's all? Do you think
telling us? Why didn't they text us?

Speaker 5 (00:44):
I hope they're happy and in love, but I still
hope for Taylor's sake, they don't do it at the
dang Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I really don't think.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Especially when he said wouldn't you like to know? I
think that confirmed it's an absolute no. He would not
do that.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Okay, I don't think.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Doesn't it away like all the attention from like maybe
all the players that are actually in the Super Bowl selfish.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
It's their moment.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Players are like, oh, Taylor's gonna be right.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
They're like, okay, Buffalo, why couldn't you win?

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Okay, So some of the legal you know, legalized betting
is a thing, especially now in North Carolina. So some
other bets. How many times will they show Taylor during
the game?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
I will at the top of your head, maybe six six? Okay,
it wasn't that many at the big Game last time?
I think.

Speaker 6 (01:25):
Weren't they late last year? Wasn't there something I don't remember?
She was there with a bunch of friends I remember, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Some ailist friends and his mom. Of course, I just.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
Remember her looking really having the ick.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
When he went on and started, She's probably like, do
not take that, dang, mic, Mike is not yours.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
But now she'll end the night with the ring.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
He was new to the whole mass. No, he's publicity.
He had a freaking.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Reality show, a little dating show, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
But now since Taylor, I think he's been more groomed on,
like or trained on.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
How to groomed is the word, because he I think
he looks good.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
Does he not runs that relationship.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
And the bowl cut looking stuff?

Speaker 6 (02:07):
Almost like you said the bulge.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I didn't look this bulge. But I don't have to
take a glance at that too.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
I mean the Brothers does America, Okay, that's such a sweetie.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Or Taylor. I think they're gonna show Taylor more if
this is one of the major pulls.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
You know, I like, I love Jason's wife as well.
When I see her, I'm like, she's so salty the
arts good mom.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah, I love Jason though I do love him a lot.
Will Taylor jump on stage during Kendrick Lamar's halftime show
you need.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Get pushed down right, Like, I don't know if that
would be a good move on her part.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
She wouldn't do that. She wouldn't do that. She's a
supporter of I think.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
She's a support artist.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
But she was definitely saying during the Grammys, like when
Kendrick Lamar won not Like Us.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Which is a dish track against Drake, there's a lot
of drama there.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Yes, Trent didn't know about it, didn't the disc But
that's okay.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
You now know I'm a pedophile.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
I get that.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
I mean it was a big thing.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yeah, And there's lawsuits involved because he's like, you're defaming
my my career, my character, and it's the same label.
They have the same label, so it's like they he's
mad that his label took Kendrick Lamar and mass produced
it and made spend a lot of money to produce
this or promote this.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
He's winning, but it's in the name of Drake.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Also, this all went down last year during Dreamville and
you have take Hold.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
There's a whole thing you have.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
You have two girls that really probably don't know all
the ins and outs of it, but we can get
you the research.

Speaker 6 (03:32):
Can I just ask you?

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Do you think that the artists know when the camera's
on their face and they start to lip sync the
songs way more than they normally would.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
I've never been to the wards, so like I'm like
the awardial girl, and I end up sitting like sometimes
in the front and it shouldn't be, but I'm there,
and the cameras will be like right there on the
floor in your face, and so they know which they
have multiple cameras set up, and so maybe the camera
is not at that time filming, but they are trained
to be like, oh, I'm really smiling the whole time

(04:01):
she does do word.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
It's the awkward Musgraves didn't know that camera was.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
When the country when she lost to Clean Bay and
I'm a big Casey fan as well.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
You know that was her real reaction. I'd rather than.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
That I should not have won.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Country's so awkward to take freaking shots of people when
they're losing.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
It's so like, well they all know, the cameras go
in the shot. Taylor, Yes, I lost that smile and
I'm so happy.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
But you know what, they're all getting paid, so.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
It doesn't matter. Yeah, the streaming numbers and all of that.
That's what matters.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Okay, our girls cheerleader though anything else since the Grammies,
by the way, No, and right before.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Okay, so what was your favorite moment?

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Oh my god, it's so good.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Pink Pony Club was an incredible performance.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Her speech was really good.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Eye open her for record labels the industry to treat
them like you give everything and then in return you're
not getting what you need.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
Industry in general, I think across the word.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, And I didn't realize she was signed as a
young woman and now years later she's made it big
this past year and she's like, listen, this is what
I experience back then when I was on that label.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
We need healthcare.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
I didn't even this is true. Confession.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
I had never even seen her perform before, but I
thought she did a great job.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
I loved the tribute to Quincy Jones.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
I was fortunate in my younger days to spend some
time with him, and everything they were saying about him
is so true. And he was just one of the
most dynamic powerhouses of a personality and always turned around.
If you ever see any picture of you, he always
is pointing to the other person and I always he

(05:45):
would do that. He'd always was the one I don't
like to take pictures, and he would be.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Like, let's take pictures.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Let's take pictures everybody, and would always point to them.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
And so to be able to have such powerhouse.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Performers honoring him that that was a moment.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
What a tribute.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Next year, we need to get some of these parties.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
So there's some artists that are here from Raleigh that
have blown up and they are now like that. I
think there was a mom emailed me this morning her
son won a Grammy. I think it was the pre
ceremony and she was like, Hey, I just want to
shout him out. I can't pronounce his name, but.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
You gotta get him on the show.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
I mean Sam Pounds, who worked with all of the
major artists.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
We do we need I mean, hello, it's on CBS.
Think more about this.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, we should be at these parties because I see.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
All the local people don't go hey, hey, hey hey,
we should have been at that too.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
We know, we know, we know you were reporting virtually
that you looked gorgeous in that gown. Can we just say, oh, yeah,
thank you?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
So yeah, I was doing the virtual reporting, which was
very interesting. It's the first time ever doing virtual because
normally I would be there.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
How did that work and what and what was your favorite?

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Well, we also had our iHeart Christmas party that was
delayed and so the same time, so I had to
leave in the middle.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
No, it was an actual party.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
So I had to leave in the middle of doing
a virtual red carpet interviews to going to our iHeart
party and then I came back in the red carpet
by that point had closed. Okay, so then you go
to like the media room. But I would rather watch
it on my TV. You know, you see the same thing, but.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
You did what had zoo to double D.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
But when I was doing some of the stuff, it's
like you interview and they the artists come up and
they see these cubes of people and there was people
from Italy, Canada all over with me and we're in
these little cue boxes and you get to your face
blows up for the artists that stand in there and
they see you on the screen and you asked them
a question.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
It was wild interview.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
One of the producers from Beyonce's name, I can't remember
his name, and I hate that, but there are a
lot of people that came through that were producers for
Beyonce's album talking about how she really doesn't set the
tone for right now, she sets the tone for the
future and what artists like strive to work towards the future.
Like they were really big on that got the inside
scoop on her tour before it was announced, like the

(07:52):
day you know, she announced it before the Grammys, but
during that time she had not announced it.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, it was pre pre obviously she's gonna be in
twenty two week shows and yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
She's incredible. That's and you can't take that away from her.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
In order to get to what she has gotten to
and what she does, she has a work ethic that
cannot be argued.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Well, that's what people are, Like she doesn't drink, she
doesn't do all that, Like she hustles, and she expects
the people around her to do the same. And she's
also got the same folks with her, like her publicist
has been with her through it all from the very
start of her going solo, and so she's got people
that really know and want to see her win around her.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Surround yourself important people, and yet it's the most important thing. Also,
I hate when we diminish the efforts and the talents
of other people because we think somebody else should have
been in another Why can't we just share it, like
there's enough that everybody's there for a reason.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
And a personal level. I know this is obviously going
up on the podcast, y'all, so you'll.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Get to here full.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
But speaking of.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
That, I was just talking to Trevory yesterday about not
to single you out, Trent, or not to not include you,
but women not supporting women. So like there's a couple
women in my I'm a big cheerleader for other females, Like, hey, guys,
I want everybody to win because there's plenty of room for.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
All of us and it opens the doors for more.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
And like I like my girls squad to be successful
and guys squad because I'm like, we do open more
doors for each other. But there's a few women here
in the triangle and I want to reach out and
be like, you are blocking your own blessings by being
such a sea blocker. I let me ask you that
the most nice to it but not supporting other people
because you feel like you should have been in that space.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
We all could be in that space exactly.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
And just it's always like be the dumbest person in
the room, be in a room full.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
You want to be around.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
People that are successful or that are doing something that
you want to do or.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Share or give or just share. I mean good energy
in general breeds more good energy.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Why got your person down too?

Speaker 3 (09:51):
So there's a couple must be nice Erica you want
this or that, And I was like, well it must
be nice. I come in at four am on a
Saturday Sunday too, Like.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
You put them in the world.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
It's you don't see me.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Here and how much I'm working or how I put
my kids dad to come to work exactly see that,
And I'm hustling and not worried about what you want.
I'm focused on my own thing, so like you can't
just just knock it.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
You got to put in the work for stuff.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
And also it's just kind of like that meme where
you see like the the avalanche like or avalanches No, no,
like the ice block underneath the water and you don't
know ice iceberd.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Yes, how deep it goes?

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Somebody needs to go back to school when they were
drama Like, damn, do you know last week my car
broke down, I got a rental car and then I
had a bunch of.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Stuff happened, right, I didn't post that on social media?
You see a happy version of a and.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
As a woman too, I think that if we speak
in a different tone than a man would, it's taken
in a completely different way. So I always kind of say, well,
if I was a man and said that, would you
talk to me like that? Or having to have the
arguments back and forth and having to always justify yourself,
Why are we still doing that?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Sorry?

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Sorry, this is a.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Great conversation, damn.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
World, And like, I love our team.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
I'm one of the only women in our like yeah,
and it's it's interesting, especially for a lifestyle show which
is predominantly women watching, not that men and and then
the women are so so supportive, but I feel like
we still walk into rooms and are still kind of
squashed down a little bit, like here a little girl,
let me show you where you are, Like do you

(11:26):
know anything about my story? You know absolutely nothing, right,
and that's okay.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
I don't have to justify.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
I always love a challenge. I love to go into
the board room with all the guys.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
I'm like, so yeah, at the table, because you deserve it.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
And also like how many great women have helped lead
the way, and then such great influences I was even
as a child, like my mom is like the most loving.
There was never ever any competition or anything in my house.

Speaker 6 (11:52):
And so once you.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Get out there and start to realize, you're like, oh,
there's that's Caddy and you don't even know what's happening.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
And then once you start it's you know.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
My feelings.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
And it still does some but I have to remember,
like when you see that kind of energy from somebody,
you have to remember, like, it's not about you, it's
about their own struggles that they're dealing with, and so
you have to remember that.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
But it still sucks.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
Way I thought we were very well and I think
we just have a tendency as people to take things
personal and a lot of times something that's being said
or done has absolutely nothing to.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
Do with us, right, absolutely nothing.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
But you know what is that whole thing? Nobody's really
thinking about you. They're more concerned with themselves. And that's okay,
that's true.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
So full circle moment. Yeah, say one album of the
year and country album of the year. Like Casey Musgrave's
face was like, E whatever, But that's not true feelings
and it is what it is. But I don't think
that Beyonce should have one country album. I'm sorry, I
just are.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
You pleased with album?

Speaker 6 (12:46):
Her album?

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Huh?

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Are you pleased with album of the year for her
first ever?

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Whatever?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
A lot of people said jay Z bought it for her,
and I don't think it even works like that.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
You know, the record labels.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
Thirteen thousand people, they said every award.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Well, that was a constant reminder, you.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Know they I don't know. I think Cowboy Carter was huge,
but I also loved you know, other artists. Andy Wilson
should have won as far as country goes, but it.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Is the album of the year.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
Sure, I haven't heard, you know, I've heard snippets from
each one, but never all the way through, so I
could never say like this.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
I should win this win.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
I was happy for her win with the duet with
Miley or my Girls.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
So that was stuff coming out that was released on
the red carpet. Like one of the producers that said
that she was absolutely phenomenal to work with. They were like,
she's incredible.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
And so Miley.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
They were like, Miley doesn't get enough kudos, that she
should because and then they spilled the tea that she's got.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
An artist artist.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
I love the fairy goddaughter of dog.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
I just also give a shout out because when Cardi
B walked out in her dress, I was.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Like, I loved it.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
It was so extra and amazing.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Party is so extra. I loved it. Yeah, that's my
favorite part of the groom.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
All Right.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
We talked about saying out what do we miss?

Speaker 2 (13:58):
What else?

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Will you talk about anything.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Else about the Grammys on CBS and women empowerment.

Speaker 6 (14:03):
We're not We're not too low to gravel and.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Ships and sausa. Yeah, we hit on everything.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
I need to know if the changed
