A Broadway Musical You Must See

Cubby and Christine, and do yourself a favor because Christine
and I we had a hot date although your fiancee
was part of that date. Yes, we did a matinee.
We checked out the Broadway musical Dead Outlaw, and trust me,
do yourself a favor and check out this show.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
It's amazing, it really is. We had such a great time.
This is such a unique story. Right, So this was like,
this was a big hit off Broadway and I had
heard about it and wanted to see it and missed
my opportunity, and now it's opening on Broadway.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
It was great. Yeah, And here's how I sum it up.
It tells the story of Outlaw Elmer McCurdy. It's a
true story. He became world famous after his death in
a nineteen eleven shootout. Now his body was preserved and
displayed as a side show attraction for decades, and the
show explores mccurty's life, death, the bizarre aftermath of his demise,

and a lot of dry humor in here. And it's
a fun show. You hear this, you hear like death.
You hear me mentioning the word death in this, but
it's not like it's not super what's kind of dark,
but it's fun dark. Does that make sense?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
It does make a lot of sense. The music is awesome, right.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Well, yeah, the music is jam music.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah, yeah, because you got a live band on stage
and as I said, all original music that like really
can rock. And it was just fantastic, a fun show.
We love, absolutely love the cast. Andrew Duran plays Elmer McCurdy,
who's the lead who eventually becomes the dead guy. Right,
so we want to talk to him so badly about

how he was able to pull this off because there's
a lot for him to do. He lives this full,
kind of tragic life, right and then and then his
life is tragic and death in that nobody respects his body.
It's taken across the country and put on display like
a side show.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
No family members are cleaning his body. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
This goes right through to the nineteen seventies, as you said,
So it really is incredible in all of the characters
he meets along the way that he meets when he's alive,
in them when he meets when he's dead.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
It is a brilliant show and we just wanted to
shout them out because we had a fun time yesterday.
It's called The Dead Outlaw. Yeah at the Broadway.

This is a great one that you want to add
to your list of shows that you want to see.
Go see this one first. It's really cool.
