Crazy First Date: "She Threw Up On Everyone!"

Rob called in with his "Crazy First Date" story and how he took his date on Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure and it didn't end well.

All this a little love of mine. It's Covey and Christine.
Crazy first date.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Good morning, Rob, you've got a crazy first date for us.
When did it happen and how'd you guys meet?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Oh? Great, it happened about twenty five years ago, back
when I was in college. My best friend at the
time set me up with his cousin and she and
I both went to the same school. I thought it
would be a lot of fun for our first date
to go on a trip to six Flags Great Adventure.
She liked the idea, so we made plans to go

(00:30):
there that weekend. I then picked her up from her
home that Saturday. It was around eleven am. We drove
down together. It's a Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.
We had an amazing time laughing, joking during the drive there,
and we got along really well. Then as soon as
we got to the park, I decided it would be
a really fun idea to go on the roller coaster

(00:51):
they had at the time, called King da Ka, and
she loved the idea too, so we agreed. We waited
on our line for about an hour, all the time
continuing to joke and laugh together and see things pretty
much seemed to go really, really well. Then when we
got to the front of the line, we were strapped
into the roller coaster and we were ready to have
an even better time. But once the ride started, though,

(01:12):
she said that she was beginning to feel queasy. I
assured her everything was going to be okay, that it
was just her nerves kicking in. But then about a
minute into the ride, after a few twists and turns
out of nowhere, she up chucked all over the place.

(01:33):
During the ride, it was all over the folks in
front of her. She apologized by crazy, and then we
basically after that experience, the whole mood changed. We toweled off,
We spent an awkward next few hours trying to make
small talk, and then we went home later that day.

(01:54):
We ended up pretty much parting as friends and we
never went out again.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
She kind of thought the opposite. I thought, maybe it
was so like crazy, like maybe you laughed about it
and you bonded over it, but instead just made.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Things out like you were.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, killed the mood completely. And it was also awkward
for a bit with my best friend because he had
set us up.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, well, we loved your story. Yes, I mean, either
way made for a great story and Christine. Now Rob
has to figure out who is going to take to this.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
That's right, Rob, You've got a pair of tickets to
see Dua Lipa. She's going to be at Madison Square
Gardens September seventeenth. Tickets on sale this Friday, ten am
