Speaker 1 (00:00):
Only a little loving mom. It's Cobby in Christine crazy
first date. We have Guido on the phone.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yes, so Guido, when did your crazy first date take place?
How did you to meet?
Speaker 1 (00:12):
This was the first and last online date I ever had.
It was in ninety seven when American online was the
you know, the place to meet people.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Oh yeah, I was.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I was living in Georgia. I met a girl on
one of the chat rooms. We talked online for about
seven months. After seven months, I was in love. She's
told me she was in love, and I said, you know,
let's meet. And so she was here in New York
(00:48):
and I drove from Georgia to New York to me. First,
I asked her to to choose the place where we're
going to meet. She said the Lincoln Center. So we
needed the Lincoln Center. She said noon. We meet at noon,
and she says to me, listen, let's go to a movie.
There's a movie theater in the Lincoln Center. So we
(01:12):
go to the movies. She asked for the worst movie,
the earliest movie. So the movie theater was empty. We
really didn't watch the movie. I noticed she's looking at
her watch and uh and all and over and over
and over, so finally after you know, if there's something
(01:34):
that you have to do, and she says to me, no,
my kids are coming out in about five minutes. Oh
they are, they are, They're having they take classes right
here at the conservatory. And I'm like, uh, your kids, yes,
and she goes, yeah, yeah, did I I didn't tell
(01:55):
you that kids? Oh? And I'm like, no, I would
have remembered that. Yes, yes, you know. But because she says,
is that a problem, and well, I had just been
with her, I was crazy in love. I'm like, no,
he's not a problem at all his time, he's not.
(02:16):
I'll you know, whenever they come out, we'll go downstairs
and I'll need them, no problem. And then she says
to me, well, you can't need them right now, and
I'm like why. She goes, because my husband is going
to meet us. You know what you're what and she goes, yeah,
my husband is gonna pick us up. Did I did
(02:38):
I tell you I was married? No? We not. Is
that a problem? And I said yes, yeah, that's a problem.
That's a problem. That that is a problem, and she goes, Okay,
then then I guess this is it and she grabbed
her coffee. She gave me a kiss, nice kiss, and
(03:00):
she walked away. And I sat there in the window
looking down at the Lincoln Center and I see her
cross the street and these two kids to her. They're
carrying they're carrying instrument cases. And two minutes later, a
car stops right there in the corner and a guy
gets out and gives her kids, and her kids put
(03:24):
everything in the car and they leave. Wow. And I'm
just sitting there with a coup in my head, going like, okay.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
This is that is crazy.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, now are you married?
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Now?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
I mean, what's going on with you now? Oh? No, no, No,
I'm not I'm married, I have kids. I've been married
for you know, I've been eleven years and it's been great.
But you know that happened.
