Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ooh, it is Memorial Day on Kiss ninety five seven Courtney,
Savannah Walmer, Jeff hanging out with you. Yes, we're working,
but do we have a short day? Like can we
leave here like nine fifty one?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Oh, I'm out here like nine to fifteen. Oh okay, guys.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
What are you guys doing today? Are you gonna be barbecuing?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah absolutely. I bought a twelve pack of hot dogs
and hopefully they'll be gone by the end of the day.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Thank god, the twelve pack.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Is it just for you and your family, just for you,
just for me? Okay?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I I can have like a lot of walking around
hot dogs. Okay, we're you're at your house and you
walk around your yard and you have a hot dog.
You see your neighbor acrossway, hot.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Dogs, Savannah, barbecuing, doing anything fun.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
You know, we haven't really come up with plans yet.
It's just kind of like, I will see where the
day takes us. But Ravon's friend is actually visiting from France,
so we're trying to give him a good American Memorial Day.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Then you need to fire up the grill and you
need to do burgers and dogs. I got a big
old box from of Bubba Burgers.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Oh no burger.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
So that's I'm gonna do. A couple of girlfriends coming
over and we're gonna fire up the grill and have Bubba.
So don't forget. You can always listen to us on
your smart speaker while you're grilling. Just say Alexa play
Kiss ninety five point seven on iHeartRadio good News. If
you're grilling today, it is Kiss ninety five seven. It's
Memorial Day, so I know that I'm gonna be grilling.
Jeff is gonna be grilling. Savannah is still up in
the air. We're just gonna see how the day goes.

(01:17):
But you still have time to pick up Oh my gosh, Kingsfur.
Do you know Kings for Jeff. They make those briskets
or whatever, those trickle charcoal briskets that you grill with.
They teamed up with Miller Light. They have Miller Light
infused briskets. So if you're going to be grilling, they
say it infuses your food with a bold, smoky beer flavor.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
That's funny because most guys standing around the charcoal pitch
their beer in there.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, you know, I guess you probably could sprinkle your
Miller light right on the charcoal if you're grilling, but
look for it. It is out now and it's for
a limited time only. That is my good news. If
you're grilling, Savannah, you've got what good foods to eat?
If you're going to be working out later.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Yeah, if you're like me and you're gonna try to
sneaking a workout before, you.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Know, whatever the day decides for us.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Here are some things that nutritionists are saying you.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Should eat before a workout.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
They say you want to grab some carbs, a small
amount of caffeine and protein about thirty minutes before for
best results. It's gonna provide energy and support your performance.
But you also want to avoid high fat foods because
they're too heavy, they take.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Too long to digest, and just gonna weigh down.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Tell you what, an energy drink or a cup of
coffee for me, and usually just a half of the
energy drink or just a small cup of coffee thirty
minutes before you work out, you'll have a much better workout.
I love that, Jeff, what are you for? Good news?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
This is pretty cool. You can now make dinner reservations
using uber ubers stepping up their dinner game by teaming
up with Open Tables, so you can book a restaurant
reservation and get a discounted ride to the restaurant.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
So Uber's gonna book it for you.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
No, well, you got to go through Uber to book it.
You can book it on the Uber app.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Oh okay, and then.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
You get a discount on the ride over. So that's
pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Well, that is great news, especially if you're not grilling today.
Maybe you want to hop an Uber and go.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Fine, I have somebody garden or something like that.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yeah, don't lots of Memorial Day parades happening this morning.
Find out where and when. Coming up at seven forty.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
It is Monday.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
A lot of people have today off Memorial Day. It
is Kiss ninety five seven Courtney and Kiss in the morning.
But we still have to do the peaks of our weekends.
I know that I'm gonna have a huge peak today
because it's like grilling.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, absolutely, so.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
That will you know, that's going to be a peak.
But my peak of the weekend was espresso martinis with
my besties.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh nice.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, we went out and we said, you know what,
let's do some espresso martinis, which we did and they
were fabulous.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Is that like the Martini of the Year or whatever?
Like my West friend group, that's all they drink is
espresso martinis.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
It's because of Sabrina Carpenter for sure, her song Espresso.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
So but they're also really good because if you have
them without Bailey's they're also locale, so really good.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
That's My girlfriend has her espresso martini dark and I
have mine slightly light, which means I do like a
little splash of Bailey in Mi. So that was my
peaks of Ana. What was the highlight of your weekend?

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Yeah, so whe of e Von's childhood friends from Free
is actually visiting New York for like the month. So
he came up for the weekend, spent it with us,
and he's actually still with us. He's gonna go home
this afternoon. But it's been really cool having him here.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Oh I love that.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah. Now, Savannah, did you have to ask your parents
if you could have friends over? Because I'm away to easy.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Now we don had to ask my parents if you
get friends over.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Oh my gosh, that's even better. Jeff, what do you
have us?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Swinging campground beers Courtney, but camping weekend? It's just nice.
To get out of the house and I have a
few cocktails in nature.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
That's always fun. That's always fun. If you want to
check out our peaks plus show us yours, head over
to the Courtney and Kids the Morning Facebook page. The
unofficial start of summer is today. It is kiss ninety
five seven. And maybe you're planning a summer vacation.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, a lot of people actually stepping out this summer.
Eighty two percent of Americans plan on traveling this summer, okay,
forty two expected to take more than one trip. I'm
definitely in that. We're taking two trips this summer. Are
We are going to Maine and Maryland?

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Okay, so cool?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Taking the old camper there. Here are the top three
places people are traveling really yeah, one of them. I'm
super jealous about Washington, d C. That's summer three on
the list.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Are you jealous about that one?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Why?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
I love history and memorials and statues and okay, yeah, No.
Number two on the list Atlanta, Georgia for summer travel
and number one. I don't know why anyone would want
to go here in the middle of summer, but it's
the number one travel place. Orlando Florida. Well, that's hot,
that's nothing.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
No, my sister lives in Florida and during the summer
she likes to get out of Florida.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
It's like everything's sticky.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
I don't know, think about Orlando is all it is
is Disney and Universal. So if like you don't have kids,
or you don't like crowds, it's not a place for you.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
A lot of buffets too, from what I remember, right.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, Hey, there's a lot of parades today coming up,
Memorial Day parades. Maybe you want to take the kids.
Maybe you want to take air your husband, air Von's
best friend. Oh, his first Savannah parade. Yeah, I got
the list of parades and when they happen, coming up
at seven forty it is Memorial Das Kiss ninety five
seven Courtney and Kiss in the morning. Maybe you've got
the day off. I think a lot of people do

(06:05):
Memorial Day parades today. I don't are you guys going
to any of the parades.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I will be at Eastampton's parade later on this morning.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yes, I'm okay, Savannah, have you decided if you're going
to a parade or not.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
I'm gonna gather the boys. We'll see what they're uh,
what they want, what they want to do today.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Okay, I'm probably not going to go to the parade,
but if I do, it will be the Manchester one.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
So the parades today. Memorial at Hampden. It kicks off
at ten am, still plenty of time. Mansfield there starts
at nine o'clock this morning. Yes, two Hold Day parade Madison,
which I just love Madison in general.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's a great town.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Oh my god, I love it. Ten o'clock this morning
is their parade and then Manchester. If you're going to
go to the Manchester one, like I may go to,
it's at nine thirty.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
When I moved to East Tampton, I went to like
the Memorial Day parade there for the first time, and
no one told me there was a military flyover along
the route and like guess, big ass plain. More so
it was like on top of the trees. I was like,
what is going on? This is the best thing ever.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Oh I would have been frightened.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
I have been days.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Hey coming up. Kristen from Bristol was on War the
Roses and she's back with an update. Don't miss it.
I can't wait to find out what it is on
the way. This morning at eight fifteen it is kiss
ninety five to seven. There's another debate happening. I saw it.
It was all over TikTok. I don't know why it
gets me fired up? Is a hot dog a sandwich?

Speaker 6 (07:20):
Like?

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Who asked these questions?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
That's the question.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It's on fire right now, Savannah is She's got her
hand up. Yes, Courtney, I would like to discuss if
on hot dog is a sandwich or not.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
Yes, it's literally not a discussion. A hot dog is
not a sandwich. It's a hot dog, Okay.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Okay, it's I agree, Like, how can they even put
it in the sandwich category?

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Right?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Well, because you're sliding a long piece of meat in
between two buns, and when you do that that constantute.
Anytime bread goes on top or bottom of meats or whatever,
it's considered a sandwich.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
WHOA, but it's not.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
It's not two buns because they're connected at the bottom.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
Doesn't matter a bread folder.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
If you will, you spread it and you spread the
buns open and then you insert the hot dog into
the buns.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Can I just say, Savannah one thing. If it's the
New England bun, I only eat a hot dog in
a New England bun. The New England bun is connected. Okay,
so that's not two separate pieces of bread. If you
have a hot dog in a New England bun, it
is not it's not a sandwich. But the hot dog
rolls that are disconnected, those two that you know you
can get disconnected, that would be a sandwich.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
What is the New England buns?

Speaker 2 (08:29):
So the New England you're talking about it? Yeah, it's
open on the top. Oh and by far, the New
England bun is the most superior bun out there. It's
the best bun to go with potato.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I think that's the debate they should have, not as
a hot dog a sandwich. They should debate whether you
should have the New England bun or the one that's separate.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
Okay, well, hold on one debate at a time. The
hot dog is a sandwich? Is it not a sandwich?
It's a hot dog sandwich.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Excuse me now.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I'm I'm agreeing with Savannah. It's its own little entity.
It can't be a hot dog, cannot be a sandwich.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Right, I don't know. I'm I'm so confused by this
because you put pretty much meatballs and like meats and
stuff like that into giant hot dog buns and those
are considered sandwiches.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
What about a taco?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Okay, see that's a different discussion.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Nope, all right, can we just open the phones on
this as a hot dog of sandwich? Walmart says it
is definitely a sandwich. Savannah and I are like, no,
it's a hot dog, but it's a hot dog a sandwich. Okay,
let's settle the debate right now. Eight six oh two
four seven nine five seven. Oh see, I told you
people are angry on TikTok talking about this. Du Good
morning kiss. Who's this hi?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
This is Aaron from Waterberry.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
All right, Aaron, here's the debate.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
It's a hot dog of sandwich. No, it's not, because
if there was a sandwich, then a hamburger has to also.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Be a sandwich.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
A hamburger is a sandwich.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Well, I will agree that hamburger is a sandwich.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I don't think it's a in I don't know what's
going on in Waterbery, but all the sandwiches I've had, Like,
you go to a restaurant, the hamburger is in a
sandwich category.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
Well, I'm actually from New York.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Okay, that explains a lot.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Oh, definitely agree with the girls.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
All right, she agrees with us. A hot dog is
not a sandwich. Thank you so much for calling. What
do you think? Eight six oh two four seven nine
five seven. Oh, good morning kiss?

Speaker 4 (10:12):
Who's this?

Speaker 6 (10:13):
Hi is Alex from Wallingford.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
All right, Alex, it's getting heated in the studio. We're
having a debate. Is a hot dog of sandwich?

Speaker 5 (10:20):
Well?

Speaker 6 (10:21):
You know, if you're right, you guys hit the nail
on the head. If it's the New England Bun, absolutely not.
It is not a sandwich. If the bun is disconnected,
it's a sandwich. But the New England Bun Superior cannot
be a sandwich.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yes, right on, yes, yes, bravo, bravo Alex. Thank you
for breaking it down, Thank you so much for calling.
Of course, all right, is a hot talg a sandwich?
A six o two four seven nine five seven, Oh
good morning kiss?

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Who's this?

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Good morning? This is Louise.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (10:49):
God?

Speaker 1 (10:49):
We're good, Louise, but we're fired up in the studio
because the debate is is a hot dog of sandwich?
Savannah and I say no? Walmart says it is what
do you think?

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Not a sandwich? Yeah? What Doug?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Yeah, but you're putting a piece of meat in between
two pieces of bread.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
It's one piece of bread.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
It's not when you it's shaped a different way.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
It's not like one on tolf of another.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah. But when you go to subway, what do they do?
They cut that giant piece of bread into two pieces
and make a sandwich on it.

Speaker 6 (11:18):
How do you eat it?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Do you eat it with a bun on the top
and the bottom or do you eat it.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
With a bun on each side?

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Okay, so now this is what I can The top
bottom is a sandwich?

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Is I need to fun?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Is on the top and the bottom like a hamburger,
like a grinder, like a sandwich.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
She's right, it's all it's it's all about the bond.
It's the New England Bond makes it not a sandwich.
Thank you so much for calling.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Have a great day.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
It's time for war the.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Roses where they now past guest coming back with an update,
This one I'm super excited for. Let me refresh your memory.
We went to Bristol. Kristen called us her boyfriend of
three years. Dylan stopped touching her. They were no longer intimate.
He was on and then she saw him on some
sort of fetish dating website. Yeah, I know, but they

(12:11):
both agreed to go to therapy and she said she
was going to try to meet, be explore, and be
more adventurous in the bedroom. And she's on the line
with an update. Good morning, Kristen, Good morning. Oh my gosh, listen,
we paid for the therapy. I know because I can
tell when the bill comes in. It was there's a
lot of sex therapy. And I'm so excited you guys

(12:33):
took advantage of us paying for therapy. Please let me
know how it's been going with you and Dylan.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yes, first of all, thank you guys so much.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
I have learned a lot.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
So he I just realized that he's really into a
lot of skinky stuff. And I mean, I don't want
to totally get into.

Speaker 6 (12:55):
All of it over the radio, but I cried.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
I literally put on on a latex bodysuit for him,
and I sweat my ass off.

Speaker 6 (13:03):
I almost passed.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Out, and and then no way, yes, and I literally
I was dying. But so I ended up coming to
the conclusion that I actually I had to break up
with him because he tried to get me to put
a ballgag in his mouth and walk him around like
he was a dog.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
What wait what wait? Okay, a ballgag and walking around
like a dog.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Yeah, and like whipping him thinks, like the whole nine yards.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
So that was that was the line. It wasn't almost
passing out in that latex bodysuit. It was walking him
around like a dog. Where are you, Like, I can't
do this any more?

Speaker 5 (13:42):
This is giving hobby, you're saying, Yeah, this is kind
of the way.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
I told him that I was wanting the dog, that
I wanted him to be the dog.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
So it was like that was, oh my god, I
think you did the right thing.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
He might be a little too freaky for you.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Not judging, but like for you, and maybe you should
just get a dog.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Yeah, I think so too. I mean I would love
a boyfriend, and I would love a guy who isn't
as freaky as that and a dog.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Yeah. And then a little latext tip if you decide
to dress a latex again.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Where are you coming home?

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I was doing research for her. If you put baby
oil on before your latex, you'll be able to get
the latex suit off easier. I think that was all
right whatever, all right, christ and thank you so much
for the up day.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Please keep us posted of course.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Thank you kuys for all of your help.
