Speaker 1 (00:00):
I don't know if anybody knows. Jerry Mattiacchio. Mattiacchio, m A. T. Tiaccio,
doctor M V. Jerry Mattiacchio. He is from Stafford. I
feel bad for this dude.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
What happened?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
So he lives in Stafford? A man, And let me
preface this by saying, I don't I don't well. A
man who runs a honeybee farm in Stafford, in Virginia
says someone deliberately poisoned his bees, killing about half the
population and costing him an estimated twenty thousand dollars in business. Wow.

(00:43):
Now listen. He called the attack personal and cruel. So
there's no way this was an accident. Yeah, no, not
based on what he says. He said he walked his
property on Sunday morning and discovered thousands of dead honeybees,
pile after pile at the mouth of the boxes where
the bees do their beautiful work. The piles indicate someone

(01:08):
sprayed pesticide or poison directly into colonies. According to him,
there is no way this is accidental. Mattiachio, how do
I say his name?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I think that's probably close Mattiakio or Acchio.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Okay. Estimates about twenty thousand dollars in losses. Now here's
where Here's where Channel four screws him a little bit.
Mattiacchio estimates about twenty thousand dollars in losses. But what
really stings? No reason to do that?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Your being critical of your mind. Wilder's writing.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I like Drew Wilder, but he's better than that. He's
better than that. They are uninsured. I guess you can't
ensure be I have no idea, and listen, I don't
want him living next to me. So you think it
was the neighbor. I think you got to look at everybody.
If you don't look at everybody, you can't get rid

(02:11):
of No. No, I guess And I didn't know this,
so I thought, like, this is just a guy who's
like looking to have like local honey for his allergies.
I guess he farms them out, he raises them for
other people. He said there are thousands. Oh yeah, but
I don't know, like I did. They say he raises

(02:33):
honey bees. I know nothing about raising honeybees. I don't
know what you do with them. They made it sound
like he farms them out. What's the name of the business. Uh.
He estimates about twenty thousand dollars in losses. He said, Listen,
it's not going to cripple me. It's not going to
put me out of business, But man, does it set
me back? So yeah, I get that. Also, we've got

(03:01):
a huge honeybee decline. Oh, here we go. Mattiachio said
the bulk of his business is selling colonies to orchard farms.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I don't know what that is, so he is rock Hill?
Is it rock Hill honeybee Farms.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Mattiachio said he filed a report with the Stafford County
Sheriff's Office, which he confirms the detective is looking into
the case. He himself is offering a twenty five hundred
dollars reward. A small business in Fredericksburg, Oh name Mason
Dixon Cafe said they would match the price. So it's
up to five thousand.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Actually see here too, just posted to his Facebook. Within
the hour, Great Harvest Bread has added another twenty five
hundred dollars. Now it's up to seventy five hundred.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Beautiful. Beautiful But who did this? Well that, I mean,
that's what they'd like to know. But is this is
this a known thing?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
If you're a bee farmer, Do you know that you
are going to be targeted?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I am going to say yes, because I feel like
if you're a neighborhood darnk. There are people who live
in neighborhoods who who have bees in their backyard. Yeah,
I feel like those people know they're going to get targeted.
And this in no way And he said it not
an accident, but he says, there's no way this is
an accident, that this is somebody who intentionally took pest

(04:37):
the side or poison and tried to kill his bees.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
But there's also no way it's just environmental.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
He says, somebody, somebody took somebody took past the side
or poison? What what what?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
What?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Environmental? What it rained? Pest the side? Well, you're you're
just immediately going with it being a pesticide. I'm not
doing anything.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
There are other ways to kill bees, Now I sound guilty.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Shoe flip flop, fly, squatter, spray. What am I looking at?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Oh? These are Oh these are the bees. Oh they're
sort of hard to say. These are all that did
be on the ground? Am I going to line one?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Hi? Ellie at the morning morning? Hi? Who's this?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Someone from the area.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
You live down in Stafford.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
In the area.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Okay, are you dicking with me? Or no?

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Nope?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
What can you tell me?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Hold one second? All right, former employee? Probably?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Oh wait, so so he has employees that work for
so that whatever his what is the name of his farm?
Rock Hill? Rock Hill? So he he hasn't, he hasn't.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Quick Google search, do some Google searching right past history.
Maybe some former employees. I feel bad I'm calling from
a b yard now, but I believe it had something
to do with probably a previous employee. Hey, are you
definitely intention It was definitely intentional.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Right do you you said you work in a b
yard now?

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Yeah, I'm a bee keeper in that region.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Is that a big is that? Is that area a
big bee keeper region?

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah? I mean there's beekeepers everywhere. They do it in
cities as well. They do it in in backyard communities.
And and then beekeepers put their bees on people's farms,
open fields. They're everywhere. Sometimes you don't even know, but
you know to get there and for the amount of
uh gad colonies that were there, somebody intentionally did it.

(07:01):
Sometimes you know, if v DOT or or the electric
companies go down the road, and spray, you know, the
along the power lines to cut back on the vegetation.
If you're close to that, you could have some losses.
But to get into a remote area like that, it
was you know, it was not something like that. Somebody
had to go out of their way and do it.

(07:23):
I've suffered losses from you know, maybe farmer spraying some
stuff in the area and the bees being exposed to it,
but that was definitely probably direct spray on those nucleus
colonies to intentionally kill them. And then I guess it
was something about a padlock or something being put on
that and people were saying, just make sure you own

(07:43):
that property or you have the right to be on
that property. So it most likely was somebody that had
a falling out, you know, and there's been.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
When you say past history, has there been have there
been issues with I don't know how you say. The
guy's named Madiakio and employees in the asked.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Just you know, if you look at some social media
stuff and you do some searching and stuff like that,
you might see some do you know that do you
know Jerry falling out?

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Not personally right, but you guys know of each other's business.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
No, that's a well known business in the area.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Oh, okay, yeah, I'm not. I'm not in the bee industry.
Like I have no radio stations around here.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
It's a fairly large it's a fairly large company that
kind of travels the area and and and you know
from around the country. Do you know a larger contracts
a A and a larger bee keeping operation?

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Are you so you you said, I can't remember if
you said you work at a bee farm? Where you
own a bee farm? But is are there? Are are
people always out to try to get.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
You Now, I'm a bee keeper. But you know, I
don't think we're out to get each other, right, I
think we support each other like most people do. But
every once in a while, when you know, maybe you
have certain people around and then maybe relationships fall apart.
You know, then people kind of be vindictive sometimes, you know,

(09:15):
and then you know, that's a huge loss. That's a
lot of money right there. That's what big set back.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Oh yeah, that's what he said. He said, it's horrible.
All right, very good, you were very helpful, Thank you, sir.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Sure peace.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
He right off the padlock. And there are photos of
what looks like a cut lock. Oh yeah, okay, so
I'm going to rule out environmental based on his call
and these photos.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
But does his call make it sound but you can
have a he can be totally fine and had a
falling out. Listen. I don't get along with any other
pds that worked here. That's not true. I get along
with some of them.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
But there have been vindictive actions taken in radio. If
you're wanting to keep it in what you know? Oh, sure,
so that's what he'sa Oh the worst time, it's a
disgruntled former employee or possible.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Doesn't the employee, but somebody there may have been. No.
I just when he said like the past, was he
saying like was is? Listen? I don't know Jerry, But
what if I read about Jerry, would it be like
he was a bad boss? I don't know. Like, you
can't find anybody like who's a PD that I hate

(10:25):
Dave Wellington. You can't find anybody who'll say anything good
about Dave Wellington Jones like him? Did he No, he
suspended him? Oh that's right, that's right now. Wellington was
was maybe maybe the worst program director in the history
of program director.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
Wow. No, he's up there and you've forced a lot
of him out.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
He is up there.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
You're a ped killer. You are as this person is
to be.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yes, But the post says the Drew wild did he
say really is from.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
On this planet? We're not talking about K two.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
This is on the rock Hill Honeybee Farms post from
yesterday saying this coward put high density, high density steel
chains and locks on my gates and then poisoned sixty
colonies of honey bees.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Wait say that again?

Speaker 2 (11:27):
This coward put high density?

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Who's writing?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
I'm assuming Yeah, because it's on the rock There we go.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
I finally got his name. He's a Macchiado.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It's on the Rock Hill Honeybee Farms page.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Okay, so this bad guy locked up, that's what it says.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
I don't get it. This coward put high density steel
chains and locks on my gates and then poisoned sixty
colonies of honeybees.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Oh so he had to cut through the pathle yeah, ah.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
So why I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Was it so that he couldn't get in there to
get to the bees? Maybe no offense. That's an easy
fence to.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Climb, Yeah, I ah, was not because I solved it.
It was just because you're clarifying. Yes, I assumed that
it was a lot cut, and you're right. I guess
anyone could have climbed the the fencing.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yeah, I mean that's not a that's not a secure fence.
I could probably hurdle it. So why do that?

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (12:20):
I feel like the last caller knew something more about
the padlock, but kept telling me to google it. And
I made this this smart like the the easy assumption,
right that it was done by the owner, the owner,
and then cut the people out.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. But you wouldn't padlock that in
hopes that the bees couldn't fly away because they fly
right over the fence. Hell, they can fly through the fence.
It's split rail. It's metal, but it's split rail. Dann
That fence ain't keeping nothing out. What do you make
of that? Diane rubbing her chin like like she's goddamn
Jacques Cousteau.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
No, I don't, I don't understand that.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Wait, who am I? Who am I thinking of? Not
Jacques Coustau, he's underwater. Who's the who's the inspector?

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Inspector Clouseau than you, gadget I was thinking of the
same thing.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Isn't Cluso the pink panther? Oh dead, aunt dead, aunt dead?
Oh there he is. I know, but I'm in the
same arena at hey, aunt.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Lyne.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Two Hi Elliott in the morning. Yes, Hi, who is this.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Even?

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yes, sir? What can I do for you?

Speaker 6 (13:50):
I am a bee keeper and we have lots of
people that are bee keepers that were like a community. Right,
So what the dude said before, how we are a community?
Like if one person messes with another, like, we get pissed.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
So are you getting Are you getting a call? Or
am I getting a call?

Speaker 7 (14:08):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (14:08):
That was me. It's all good. I put on do
not disturbance. That's my life.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
But here's the thing. You also have to look at neighbors.
So I have a friend who's a bee keeper in
a community that they have larger properties and smaller ones,
and bees love salt, and so they'll actually go to
this dude's pool and hang out on his pool deck
in on his waterfalls and kids gets stumbed and he
was complaining about it one time. So that's the other
thing you have to look at too. But if he

(14:33):
if a dude padlocked the fence and then freaking killed
sixty hives. I mean that's that's that's internal, bro.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
What is the what is the well two things? The
padlocking of the fence. Why would the guy who did
the killing padlock defence?

Speaker 6 (14:52):
My opinion, so because it's not easy to like open
up bee hives and just spray stuff in him.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
So my opinion, he didn't want to.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
Get caught doing it, so he had block fits to
slow him down.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
That's my opinion.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Oh so that if Machiato came running out, he would
have to hoist himself over the fence. I gotcha, I
gotcha all that.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
You see what I'm saying, right, So, yeah, dude, that's bad. Dude,
like to kill that many hives. Holy crap, there's so
much crapp bee keepers go through to these things.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
And then.

Speaker 6 (15:22):
But keep in mind too, every single time anybody uses
round up, that's.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Horrible for beehives.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
So keep that in mind. Everybody using the roundabout there,
stop using it because it's been a two mile radius.
If you use round up, that bea can bring them
back to the colony. And I screwed them up good.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I'll tell you the like like for you, I'm allergic
to bees right or beestings? And I don't know. I
don't know the difference between all the bees, but the
I would not want to live next to somebody who
was raising bees. But that being said, I certainly wouldn't
go over there and kill his bees. Now, I wouldn't
eat outside because I like salt also, but I wouldn't.

(15:56):
I wouldn't. I wouldn't go over and kill somebody's bees.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
That's that's internal.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
This dude did somebody dirty or somebody is not happy
with his bees?

Speaker 5 (16:07):
One of the two.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
Are that's not I like the other dude said that
is not environmental?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Are there are there organizations and I'm I'm I'm going
to use an organization name, but I'm not blaming them.
But you know how like like sometimes Peta gets really
upset with an organization and goes after him. Is there
is there like they would bees?

Speaker 5 (16:28):
No?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
No, I wasn't gonna say yeah, no, no, not pet
But are there groups of people that are like, you
shouldn't do this with honey bees. I'm just trying to
think of every possible uh scenario.

Speaker 6 (16:40):
No, I mean, like if it was back in the day.
I don't know if anybody knows this, but like instead
of botox women, they used to use bees at parlors
to slightly sting women's lips to make them explode. If
it was something like that where they're being treated as
like poorly or something, that I'd understand. But it's nowadays
there's so much love for bees that it's nobody in

(17:01):
the right mind to for any group would do that.
Interesting he picked somebody off or something, and you.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Would think that it's somebody who has this many bees,
that there's somebody like he has employees that work for him.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
That's a lot of highs. You have to have help.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
Gotcha the ives man, Holy crap, Like there's no way
you're doing that alone.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Gotcha, gotcha, appreciate it, Thank you, sir, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Nope, now we know about the number that were killed, right,
do we think any were taken cruise.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
It's funny. I thought of him too.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
It's expensive to do the botox sounds a lot cheaper.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Could you imagine you're sitting in a chair and somebody's
just holding a bee and it's stinging you in the
mouth a little bit. How long ago was that? Probably
five years?

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Like I've heard lips described as bee stung lips. But
that wasn't really done by a bee.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
They've updated that term now they're now just dsls.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Kristen love that.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
But do you do.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
You know of the history of parlors using bees? No,
not you, Diane. No, you've never had you don't do that.
You've got very thin.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Lips, thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
It's one of my favorite features.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Why is that? Why are you mad? Oh yeah, that's
how me being rude. Thick skin, Yeah, no, I think
that's accurate.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
No, oh my god, stop it. This is like when
you ran, how would you describe your lips?

Speaker 2 (18:38):
They're thinner?

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Thank you? Yeah, that's all.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
People don't go to salons for this.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
This is usually when your wife tugs at you to
stop talking.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
It's like how you can't teach hype line six.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Hi, Elliet in the morning, the morning. Hi. Who's this? Oh?

Speaker 8 (19:09):
Hi?

Speaker 7 (19:09):
This is Jen and I'm from Stafford. I'm familiar with
the farm because you know, I grew up my neighborhood.
The street, like when you know the main street we
live on, back's up to that farm, right, so every
day you drive by you can see all you can
see it. I mean you could have you walk like
ten feet and you're right there. I mean you could

(19:31):
you just walk through the grass by parking the side
of the road, So it's like easily accessible. I instagrammed
you guys photos. I don't know if you've seen all
the photos yet, but it kind of gives you an
idea what happened, Like what happened? And I mean this
person who did it? Even chain? Even chained and locked

(19:52):
you know.

Speaker 6 (19:53):
I mean.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
Not even a fence. Take a look at the photos.
I not even just a fence like even some create stuff.
But I personally believe, well, A, it's easily accessible, right
in my opinion, I mean you can just like walk around.
I mean it was you can get over there, no problem.
But the other thing I'm thinking it could be I

(20:16):
mean sounds yes, it could be a former employee, but
I also think maybe it's like I don't know, I
feel like the nutcases out there that are all about
the earth or environment or something, you would think they
wouldn' kill bees. But why would you padlock in unless
you're like trying to okay.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
But.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Keeping the bees in? Like you could walk over that fence.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
And what is you also screen you screenshot a conversation
about cameras. What was Jerry saying in that discussion, right.

Speaker 7 (20:45):
So, yeah, and that be in that big keeper group
because my uncle who also lives in the in the neighborhood,
he also says bees. But so basically he was saying,
there's cameras on that property, and he's saying, ironically, the
one that was directly facing the entrance died out and
the other ones caught nothing. So I find that I

(21:08):
I found that strange too. How ironically none of the
cameras work and picked up anything.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
I find it hard to believe Drew Wilder didn't report
on that. Seriously, he's a good reporter.

Speaker 7 (21:18):
Yeah, they didn't forget the cameras and all the pad boxes.

Speaker 8 (21:22):
That means what.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
I can't see what it says from here, but on
Tyler's computer, what are those boxes that are that are padlocked?
What are those?

Speaker 7 (21:31):
Yeah? Right, so I know I was looking. I was
looking at those two and so I honestly, let me see,
I gotta find my phone on myself, So let's see
my treatment O Mike, Mike treatment kit. So those my
treatment kits that are also.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Mites. Is that a problem for for hives as mites?

Speaker 7 (22:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Yeah, So somebody's really out to screw with Jerry. Do
you know Jerry. I know you said you live right
behind him. Do you know him?

Speaker 7 (22:10):
I don't know. I don't know him personally. I just
know I know some once weird his hives, just because
I always thought it was weird because it's just like
out in the middle. I thought, you So if you
look at one of the photos, I said, you can
if you look a little to the right, the road
was right there. So it's like it's all the way
back out in the middle of nowhere where the hives were.
And I get it's like with the sunlight maybe and stuff,
but they were just like, yeah, like right there. But

(22:33):
it's but you really could see his house. The house
was like way up.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Sure, I got that. That's fine. But nobody has called
and said Jerry's a dick or Jerry's an a hole.

Speaker 7 (22:44):
No, right, nope, No, everyone knows Jerry. I mean those
things have been there for years and years, so they've
been there forever. Yeah, you just see you know, known
person around there. But it does the be stuff and
backs up. Yeah, it's like I said, to our neighborhood,
and it's on the boondogs, right so it's like it's
in Stafford, but it's closer to like almost a Heartwood area,

(23:06):
so it's out there. Like yeah, so but I just
want to send you guys photos and you get an
idea of the scene.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
I appreciate it. Thank you, ma'am, Thank.

Speaker 7 (23:16):
You, You're welcome. Thanks.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Thanks.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
So what did you say that reward's up to seventy five?

Speaker 2 (23:23):
It is?

Speaker 1 (23:24):
I do feel bad for the.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Guy if Drew Wilder.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Wheah, where is Drew? Why hasn't Drew called?

Speaker 2 (23:30):
If you will?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
You think Drew got assigned the story and was like, oh, seriously, no,
it's a mystery. I gotta go do I gotta go
do the b story. But if Drew want what Almo
can't go do it, tell him it's raining, He'll go
stand out in the rain to steal from Hugh. Oh yes,
Hugh says they should set up a sting. That's good.

(23:55):
That's good. So if somebody so, if somebody knows, I'm
assuming they've set up a number to call Drew Wilder,
Hi Elliet.

Speaker 8 (24:03):
The morning Elliott Drew Wilder's war, Hey Drew, how are you?
I'm super My ears were ringing and a buddy texted
me and said, Elliott's talking about you.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
Give him a call.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Well, first of all, congratul congratulations on that big assignment
of the bee story out of Stafford.

Speaker 8 (24:24):
Dude, I learned so much yesterday about bees. Like that's
one of those assignments where like, yes, it's not the biggest,
hardest hitting story in the Washington DC metro area, but
like I love stories like that because I learn so much.
I don't know how useful that knowledge is going to be,
but you know, the things you can share with this
was pret pretty interesting.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
I heard from a bunch of other beekeepers and stuff
who from the area. I learned a ton just from
talking about your story. The problem I had with you,
hold on, Drew, I gotta find where did you know
you wrote something? And I was like, Drew's better than that,
Drew's better. This is some you did something?

Speaker 7 (24:59):
That is it?

Speaker 5 (25:00):
What the beef line?

Speaker 1 (25:02):
No? Well maybe no?

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Was it a stinging pun?

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Oh yeah? What really stings is that they're not sure?

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Yeah? Yeah, that that was? That was that was that
was low.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Yeah, you know you're better than I was.

Speaker 8 (25:15):
Joseph formal apology on Behalf of Myself NBCA, The Wilder
family all of your listeners.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Olmo, Olmo would write that not Drew Wilder.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
Oh, be nice to Joseph. He is a wonderful man.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
He doesn't know how to get out of the rain.
I know that the no, but hey, let me ask
you this. So some people were calling though in saying
that did did is it? Jerry Machia Machiotti.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
A man.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
I'd have to listen to it again. It like, just
say it the most Italian. You could say any word
possible and you'll nail it.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Mari Madaaccio, Mariaccio.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Yeah, that's fine. Oh okay, perfect Diane. Oh I just
spit noodles on you. Perfect. Hey. But they were saying,
while why would somebody lock the fence? Was it to
slow him down if he went running out there?

Speaker 8 (26:13):
So he says that, you know, because I asked him,
I was like, have you guys, have you had any
trouble prior?

Speaker 5 (26:19):
And he said, you know, we've had people drive.

Speaker 8 (26:21):
By and you know, kind of yell mean things out
of the window as they're driving by. And he said
they've had people put locks on his gate before. So
the way his property is laid out, it's a it's
a really beautiful big piece of property in Stafford, and
he kind of has this stretch of land that runs
behind the house and what some people might consider to

(26:42):
be a I don't know, I interpreted it to be
that they assumed it was more of a mutual area.
But he has it fenced off. I'm sure he went
to the proper legal course before he put a fence in,
but people have been doing that, I guess as a
way to just you know, kick him off for a while.
And yeah, they put a padlock on there so thick
and big. He couldn't even use boltcutters. He had to

(27:03):
get a special saw drop that up just so he
could use his own gate.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Yeah, it just seems weird.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
I know.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
The reward is up to seventy five hundred bucks.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
Yeah, yeah, a couple And I think that, you know,
and I try to touch on that in my story
as well, you know, stands the terrible bee punt, you know,
just that I think that's something that especially in the
in a community like Stafford. Not that everybody's you know,
agriculture a farmer down there, but I just I felt
like people generally had a little bit more respect in

(27:32):
a more rural area for agriculture, for livestock, for just
something in that space.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
Like why kill the bees?

Speaker 8 (27:40):
Right? Like you know there's ways to you know, get
back at the guy or to tick him off, you know,
without killing.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
All right, very good. Well I'm glad you. Apology accepted.

Speaker 8 (27:54):
Oh this has been a weight off my shoulders out
of and I can't thank you enough.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
And by the way, I'm gonna can I give you
a implement now?

Speaker 5 (28:02):
Oh yeah, you can give me two if you want.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
When you anchored, I can't remember if when when did
I see you anchoring this week during the afternoon?

Speaker 6 (28:10):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (28:12):
I think it's two days ago, whatever they day. That
was Tuesday?

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, Tuesday. You did an excellent job.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
Hey man, I appreciate that. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
There you go, all right, very good, very good, all right,
thank you sir. All right, talk to you later.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
I have a good one, guys, byte peace.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
I couldn't come up with the second compliment, just stuck
with that one.
