Speaker 1 (00:00):
Did the storms gotcha last night? Oh boy, howdy, let
me tell you. A friend of mine sent me a
golf ball size hailstone picture. I tell you, Oh yeah,
oh you bet y. Yeah. I was bat up there
in Plymouth by Batchel Lake Road up there.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Now, can you imagine if somebody is coming into town
for the first time. Yeah, they've never been to Minnesota. Yeah,
and they hear this conversation and they're like, oh my god,
those people really talk like idiots up there.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
What they say? Oh my god, that hail sounded big.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It is some big hay, big hail. I hadn't seen
it since Wilmer and the big tornado in six Oh.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I remember that.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Oh my goodness. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
We were out there having yeah, yeah, and then the
sky turned green.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
I turned green, and we ran for the barn.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I had to stay outside.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
You we're the only ones that are really good at this.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I can't do accents even in Minnesota on.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Jersey. Minnesota. Let me hear your best Minnesotan accent. Oh,
don't you know Minnesota sounds Jamaican. It's the Dave Ryan Show.
It was weird last night because the sky was landing
last night. Coming back to see from seeing Chase and
the family out in Phoenix, and we were worried for

(01:14):
a while whether to be able to land because it
was like coming in. We beat the storm in, but
then it was getting bad right after that, that's for sure. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:22):
I was in my basement because it's so hot out
this weekend, so it's much cooler down there, And I
honestly didn't even know the storm was happening.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Are you serious? Yucky you our?

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I was trying to get the Netflix to work, and
as soon as I got into work, then the Wi
Fi went out because of the storm, and I was like,
nothing's working for me. And Ava was just looking around
because she heard the storm and she.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Was like, your little doggy, yeah, a little Foster dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Was like, uh uh, it was right next to our house. Scared.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
No, she's not usually scared, but she was looking around
because they had like a big balcony, so she was
looking outside at all the craziness happening.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Some docs are terrified of like I know, if there's
a storm, they're going to have a.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Day, and I feel so bad for them.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
We hope you had a good weekend. On Monday mornings,
we always like tell a story from one of our
photos from the week We all take pictures over the
weekend and then each one tells a little story about
what we did this weekend. I was in Phoenix, Sey
and Chase. I realized that I had not seen Chase
in the family since Thanksgiving, and that's my boy, and
he's got a little girl and wife Maddie, and so
I went out on Friday, and my favorite picture is

(02:24):
Chase wanted to buy something from bass Pro Shops. So
we got the car, took little Gwen, she's a year
and a half old, took her down to bass Pro
shops and they have like a big tank of aquarium
full of fish. So I was holding Gwinn and Chase
got a picture that is my favorite picture from the weekend.
But I would say also run her up as her
and her target shopping cart. It is amazing how at
a year and a half old, she knows what a

(02:45):
shopping cart does, pushes it around the house. We put
things in it and she pushes it around. Of course
it's a target shopping cart because that is you wouldn't
have a Walmart or a coal shopping cart. Can you
imagine pushing around a coal shopping cart.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Ah, now boring.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
It's insane how strong jeans can be sometimes, because I
feel like you and Chase look so similar, and you
also look so similar to his daughter.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I do or Chase do we both?

Speaker 6 (03:12):
Do you really see so much of you and her
his daughter, and then so much of him and you too.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
She she is Chase's little baby clone. I mean seriously,
she looks so much like Chase. Is like called the
little baby girl. Chase. Give me your best story of
your best picture, Jenny.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Yeah, I was up in the Duluth area this weekend.
I did a little camper van trip, and I would
say my picture that you can check out is I
went to a random word of mouth beach rave. My
friend who lives in Duluth had told me about they
do it. I guess like once a summer, a bunch
of DJs they set it up.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Is it legal? Honestly, probably not?

Speaker 6 (03:46):
But we had such a good time and I danced
the night away.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
It was really really fun.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Now that's really cool. Did you you just dance by yourself?
Do you find some random strange ohs strangers to dance with?

Speaker 6 (03:57):
Mostly everyone just kind of danced in a group together,
so it's not like the grinding on each other.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
But I did dance near gentlemen here and there, but.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
It get it. Okay, Bailey, what's your best picture the weekend?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
So on Saturday, I got to go to the North
Star roller Derby, like bout is called like a game
that they have actually for a match, and I got
to like blow the first whistle and I had to
stand in the middle of their little yeah they're track. Yeah,
I didn't know anything about roller derby, so I was
trying to people. Yeah, I was trying to glean the

(04:33):
rules from watching and I could not. But I got
to stand in the middle and roise my hand up
and make it so they all went and so that
was the starters.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I was the starter of the match.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Just score that gig. Well, it was kind of like
throwing out the first pitch of the Twins game.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah, I know somebody who was in the North Star
roller Derby. And then there were some other listeners there,
so shout out Peter and uh Laura were there one.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, check out the pictures on Instagram. Dave Ryan show
my favorite from the weekend.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Well, we went to a Twins game Friday night, which
was so dope, and for everybody asking, we did find
jerseys at a fan HQ which is in Bridgedale mall
and those.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Pictures on my Instagram.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
But the cutest picture from the weekend, Little Ava, came
here with me Saturday night to press the button for
the Aquitanial. She's standing right where Dave is so like
in front of his mic. I think I took a
picture with headphones without headphones. She was not having it.
But it's the cutest.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
It is adorable. She's adorable, little girl.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
No, it's so cute. This is cute.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
And Devont texted me yesterday He's like, hey, sorry, somebody
had to use your headphones. I was like, what happened?
Because I thought someone had to use them and broke them.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
And then he sent me a picture of her wearing
my I was like, see you borrow them? Whenever. He's
so cute.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
He would get a minute. I know you're up early,
you're busy. Check out the instagram Dave Ryan Show for
our weekend five pictures that are also online on Dave
ryanshow dot com. If you want to see all of
our different pictures from the weekend, we'd love to see
your pictures. Too. We're gonna meet you over at Cariboo
at ten thirty this morning, and look at your pictures
from the weekend. A wheel scene there. Yeah, that's right, Yeah,

(06:03):
all right. Coming up, these are non American things that
the world highly recommends to Americans, including beidays. The rest
of the world's like Americans, you gotta try to get it.
You got to get a beday, another one, heated floors
instead of vented heat. This is I guess common in
Europe and the UK or whatever. So we're gonna go

(06:23):
over some things that Europeans in the world says Americans.
You got to try these things because you're missing out.
I got the whole list for you. Coming up next
on kd WB. KDWB singing along with the radio makes
it even better. Thanks to Amanda for suggesting a song
for the sing along, and I think we've got one

(06:45):
from Shine Down on KDWB, the sing along song of
the day on KDWB Shine Out in concerts tonight, I believe.
Isn't that true?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
It's true?

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Are they gonna be the g spot or where they're
gonna be?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Ooh, that's a good question.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
I'm not really sure.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Look it up. Look it up. It's kat WB good
morning Target. You know what I want? I want an espresso.
I was out in Phoenix over the weekend and Chase
has an espresso and and I'm like the machine yeah
and then yeah, and it makes such great coffee and
way better than a cure, which basically makes okay coffee.

(07:22):
But I think an espresso makes So let me know,
do you like your an espresso? I know you guys
don't have one. Do you have an espresso? Did you
like your an espresso? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
But you're you know that, like that's different than just coffee.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
It's espresso, right, right, So it's a very strong shot.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah, it kind of was, yeah, kind of strong. Yeah.
Did you drink I like three morning? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (07:42):
What?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Well, they're so yummy, They're so good. Yeah, there's side there.
They almost fill a coffee mug, like three quarters of
the way a coffee mug.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
We're talking about Oh yeah, no, we're talking about different things.
Then I think he's sayings.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Espresso, and I want to nest spress out.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
He induced espresso shots. But don't they make also just
regular I think they make just regular one?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Did he have? That's how we'll be able to figure
out what it means.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Well, he got it for a wedding present and he
left the gift card of tape to it. It said
this espresso be busting. So he got that from his
friend so and it was busting. So I want one?
Is it worth it though? Let me know.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
I yeah, I used to have one, and I would
make lottes all the time. But mine was just made
a little espresso shot. So I would make like three
or four shots, oh wow, usually like two to three
for when I'm feeling crazy, and then I would make
a lot.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Do with it, Loise, and you made a great time
with change. We played a little murder mystery game, one
of those like murder mysteries in a box, and it
was called The Lighthouse Murders. So you open it up.
There's all kinds of evidence and then there's a website
of the lighthouse and you and then you go to
the website and the game was so old that the

(08:58):
website had been taken down. And then you call the
phone number which you call for a hint and a clue,
and the phone number is no longer connected. We played
this game for about two hours or so realized we're
getting absolutely nowhere, So we just kind of gave up
and then like you get the solution off line, so tough.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
I bought one.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Have you had one of those?

Speaker 4 (09:14):
I bought one from Target like before I less have
moved here, and it was we were doing it for
maybe three hours, and I was like, I don't know
who murdered this girl because they give you like all
the clues and like ACE five and stuff.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
And interviews and all fake like photos. It's really cool.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Interesting, but it's it's like a monopoly, like there's no end.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Well, we figured out the first one a few years ago.
We did one. We figured it out, and we like
checked our you know, our case, and we we figured
it out. But this one we kind of just said,
it's getting late. You guys are ready to just find
a give up and find out what it is.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
So two hours too long?

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yeah, it was a little bit. I was getting so tired.
It was just like, okay, let's just give up. Anyway.
I hope you had a good weekend. It's Katie w b.
Let's get into Dave's dirt, see what's going on in
the world of everything. I will tell you the greatest
movie that I've seen of two twenty twenty five so
far the greatest movie that I've seen on Dave's Dirt
right now on KTWB.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Can give us five.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Minutes and we'll give you the dirt.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Dave's Dirt on kat w B.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Happy Gilmore too. It is so full of cameos. It
is so good. Bad Bunny plays his caddy and he
steals the show. Yeah, he is so good. There's cameos
from Travis Kelcey. There's cameos. I don't want to spoil too.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
Many, Yeah, don't because I haven't seen it yet.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
But it's like, it's got seventy four cameos in it.
Seventy four. Some of them you've not heard of before.
Some of them are like old pro golfers, but like
Arnold Palmer has a cameo in this movie. It's so cool.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
I had no idea, by the way, that was coming
out on Netflix. Netflix talked about that movie for a
while now, and then someone was texting me saying they
were gonna watch it on Netflix tonight, and I was
like what. So I had downloaded it on my phone
because I was doing a camper van thing this weekend,
so I could just watch it on my phone. But
then I was busy, entired. I didn't I up watching it,
but it's on my list to watch the next company.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Watch it. It is stupid, it is very funny, and just
the first five minutes make you go, Okay, this is
gonna be really funny. Happy Gilmore too. Let's get into
the dirt, brought to you by six one two injured
Himer and Lammer's injury loss. So Astronomer, the company with
the Coldplay CEO. Yeah, they're you know, the CEO and

(11:23):
the woman that he was canodling with. They're both gone.
But Astronomer has hired a public relations spokesperson to kind
of smooth things over. Do you know who they hired?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Who?

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Gwyneth Paltrow? Seriously because she used to be married to
Chris Martin.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Right, that's a funny, funny vibe to though, I guess.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Here is a clip of Gwyneth fielding questions as a
temporary spokesperson for Astronomer.

Speaker 7 (11:46):
Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow.
I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak
on behalf of the three hundred plus employees it Astronomer.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
So Missy for what I mean for the bet, I
guess a genius.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
I think it's genius.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
But I hope they don't think it's like like an
f you to Chris Martin because they keep saying like, oh,
screw you, screw you. There is no way Chris Martin
could have known that that was going to happen.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
No, but I do think that they might be suing Coldplay.
I think ruin because it basically ruined his life.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Yeah, but it's not like slander.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
No, but when you go when you buy a ticket,
you are buying basically, you know, nobody reads the fine print. Yeah,
click here to agree to the licensing or whatever. We
all agree to that that you can take your picture.
You know. It's not like you're in your house and
they're taking it through like a telephoto lens in your bathroom,
which you sign up for it. Yeah, you kind of
signed up for it.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Crazy.

Speaker 6 (12:45):
There's a couple that is actually doing very well and
they're getting married shortly, and that's Lena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
But they recently had a higher additional security because their
wedding plans were leaked. If the details are correct about it,
they're going to be exchange their vows and Santa Barbara
the first weekend of September. So now they've gone out
hired more security, and that just I mean whatever, security.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
More security will be.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Helpful, but that does really suck to think that, like
it is going to be surrounded with paparazzi if it's
Santa Barbara, I think that.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
I imagine that it's probably going to be near the ocean.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
I bet you people will go to the lengths of
even like being out on the water trying to get
like a glimpse. Yeah, so I don't know, And like,
do celebrities get married on normal days of the week
that other people do, like Friday, Saturdays, or do you
think they do it like midweight week, because it's like.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Maybe less they get a better deal during the middle
of the week, a deal deal. Back in the day,
it was a long time ago when Madonna was at
the top of the world and they had helicopters hovering
over her wedding on the beach, and it was just like, God,
how awful would that be in people on boats, like
you said, out in the ocean, like with long lenses.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Yeah, I've been talking a lot about Taylor Swift because
I feel like something's in the works with her. And
apparently this weekend she filmed a new music video in
Los Angeles and it was like so hush hush, top
secret that the people who were even working on the
set weren't allowed to hear the song.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
They could only hear the beat.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
But we don't have like any other news on that,
but it does seem like in general, all of the
like easter eggs that Taylor Swift has been planting the
seeds or whatever the last week, it seems like something
is in the works with Taylor.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
And even Travis was on it too, and people were
speculating because one of the photos he posted of like
the thirteen photo photo dump he did, you can like
zoom in and you can see Travis's phone screen in
the background. Oh, and people thought that it's a picture
of him and Taylor, and Taylor's holding up her hands
and she's got rings on her fingers, so people thought
that it might be an engagement ring. But it's exactly

(14:53):
what I thought it would be without even seeing the photo.
And it's Harror wearing all of his like super Bowl rings.
Oh that's yeah, it's a picture of them and she's
like holding it up like a look at this whatever.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
It's been a couple of years since they've been together,
so they're still kind of going strong.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Yeah over kind I think they're going very strong.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yeah, yeah, understatement. So there's this app that's been going around.
It's called Tea. If you haven't heard it, it's for
it's kind of like a Reddit thread for men. Women
use it and it's women only to kind of rate
and give reviews about guys, and it's supposed to keep
women safe, like report this dude is a criminal, or
this dude has boogers on his wall.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
That's a real example.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
I'm not making that up. Wow.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
To sign up for the app, you have to put
in your driver's license or like some type of government ID. Well,
it backfired because now thirteen thousand images and licenses and
the addresses of women have been exposed. What and it's
kind of people are upset because it is like, well,
we did this to keep ourselves safe and now this
is the whole adult backfired because.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Like an information leak thing through the app a data
Oh oh my gosh, because I tag that on my
Instagram because I wanted to talk about it at some
point is the t app inviting ian to spill their
post date gossip, and I was like, ooh, sounds cool
postdate gossip, yeah for sure, but just kidding, all of
your data's leaked.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yikes.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
Yeah, there's one guy that shared the map comprised of
each woman's residence, which, again, the fact that a guy
is behind it goes to just defeat the purpose of
the whole APPA general.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Jeez, I can tell you right now, don't date a
guy with boogers on the booger's on his wall. Okay,
all right, maybe if he's five, he'd make a cute
boyfriend for your five year old kindergartener, But do not
date a boy a guy that's got boogers on his wall.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Okay, let me rate that down.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Just don't because you figure if he's getting that wrong,
he's getting a lot of things wrong. Don't don't look
past that.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Daily many guys you date with boogers on the wall.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I will only tell you that there this is gross
and I hate to even discuss this, but sometimes above
the men's journal in this building, there will be boggers
smeared on the wall. And I don't know, yes, and
I don't know, of course you don't know who does it.
But it's like, if you are a man who can't
blow your nose or at least pick it and wipe
it into a Kleeneggs or something, it's ah, God, there's

(17:04):
nothing worse.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Never once thought, let me pick my nose while I'm
sitting here peeing, and then yeah, wall in.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Front of but on the wall so somebody else can
look at it. More Taylor Swift news. She's getting shaded
by Matt Heally's mama. Remember she used to date this
guy from the nineteen seventy five and so Matt Healey's
mama has some things to say about Taylor.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Obviously on pain of death? Can I talk about that episode?
But not being her mother in law is a role
that I I'm glad that I lost, and not that I.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Have anything against her right at all.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
It was just, you know, it was it was tricky, okay.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
She also says they've all moved on from Taylor Swift.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Listen, you're not allowed to say anything, and then she
writes a whole album you.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Know about it.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
But Matty has taken it all in completely good grace.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
He's very happy with him. His amazing fiance.

Speaker 5 (17:54):
Gabriella Gabrielle, who is gorgeous, and so we've moved on.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Well, good, good, and you should but of course, of course,
you know mom is always going to defend her little boy.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Right, and you saying, like, has she moved on? Why
is she talking about it?

Speaker 3 (18:11):
I bet they asked her about Taylor Swift, like to
tell us about Taylor Swift.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Gosh, but why she in an interview? And anyway, who cares
about Matt Healey's mom? That's what I'm saying. What would
you get an interview with Matt mom?

Speaker 6 (18:23):
They probably just were trying to get any sort of
tea on Taylor Swift, So that's what they retorted.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
She was mom, and she's like, yeah, well you've moved on.
Good news. Eddie Murphy is confirmed that after Shrek five
is released next year, a Donkey movie will follow. Production
starts in the next two months.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
The four Shreks, Yes, I don't think I've seen all
of them. I love that.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
There's also a Monday morning dance party on kd WB,
So let's do this one stand up dance in your
car dance while you're getting your kids to dance party
on kd wu B. We'll be back in a second.
We got a little game of Think Fast to play
for you. We're gonna also do this, it's pretty cool.
It's called for two for tape is so it's called
two for tape so Bigically, we'll leave two Tat McCray

(19:06):
songs in a row. When you hear the second one start,
we'll give you a keyword. What is a keyword? What's
one word? Let's say the keyword is Minnesota. It's not,
but let's say it was. Then you would go on
the top back feature of the iHeartRadio app and then
you would say the keyword is Minnesota. Boom. But you
only do that when you hear us give you the keyword.
That'll happen sometime next hour. So if you want to

(19:26):
see Tate McCrae, then keep your radio here on KTWB
and we'll tell you when that's coming up. I mean,
we're not gonna make it hard for you. And when
you hear the two songs, that's when you get a
chance to win bonus. You get to hear two Tae
McCray songs, which is pretty cool too. All right, we'll
be back in a second with Think fast. Let us
know what's on your mind, you need a shout out
or anything like that. Thanks for all the advice on
a net Spresso machine, because I really want to get

(19:48):
a Nest Spresso machine. I just don't really know. I
don't want to buy something and go. I know what
I thought it was anymore, all right, So thanks for that.
We'll be right back on kd WB
