Hello to your beautiful phone Flipper. In tonight's episode of At Crystal's Nightcap,
we get flown out on Air Canadato Toronto. We hit the Butt of
Shoe Museum, the Crazy Italian Festival, where I started a dance circle.
We take the Toronto Subway, walkthe edge of the CT Tower. We
also hit Southampton where I heat myphone into the middle of the lake,

(00:22):
get hit on by twenty year olds, and get eaten the live by Mosquitos.
Get Usa. My name is CrystalRosas. I'm a twenty something Latina
who just moved from California to theBig Apple Happy. Sorry that was my
cat frappuccino. They're still getting usedto the city life. Anyways, Where
was I am? Oh? Yeah, I take over afternoon radio every day

(00:43):
on the world famous Z one hundred. But when night falls, I'm looking
for all the cloud I can getand casually searching these streets for my prince
Charming. Come on this sexy singlejourney where we'll go on a date with
a new guy from the apps everyweek, host red carpets and interviews,
and weasel our way into the secretsociety of New York's top social life.
Oh yeah, and someone's always watching. That's my overprotective mom. This is

(01:07):
Carystal's Nightcap. Oh yes, ohyes, Maple Leaves and Mooses Loose Mooses
and Justin Bieber on the Weekend andShania Twain all the amazing Canadian things that

(01:32):
Canada has to offer. Slandeon. We are about to get our Canadian citizenship
because I fell in love with Toronto. A Hi. Sorry to bother you,
but this is Crystal in the future, and I think I'm not going
to get that citizenship from Canada becauseI just realized every single time I brought
up the CT Tower, I wassaying it wrong. It's actually the CN

(01:53):
Tower, you know, me andletters and just details of things bad.
So just know that anytime I sayCN Tower, I mean the world famous
CT Tower, I just got itwrong again. Whenever I say CT Tower,
I meant the world famous Toronto CeaendTower. Okay, back to the

(02:15):
Crystal you know and left? What'sup? Happy whatever date it is.
Hope you're having a good one sofar. Thank you so much for being
here. At another episode of Crystal'sNightcap. Yo Destination Toronto flew my booty
cheeks out with air Canada, andthis is a really awesome endorsement that I
got to do and I'm still doingright now. I cannot believe that I'm

(02:36):
at the point in my career wherecountries want me to visit them. Can
we just take a deep breath tothink about that countries want me to visit
them and are paying me to doit, and my job is to talk
about it and how much fun Ihad. And I don't know if anything's
going to top Toronto, Canada. So Canada's always been that place, Toronto

(02:58):
in particular, that I I'm like, definitely like a cool, bougie place
to go. Not sure if inmy life lifetime I'll be able to go.
But Toronto said, you know what, Chris, we are pully like
hell up and it was such avibe. So for this trip, they
said that I can bring either asocial media helper or someone, and so

(03:22):
I asked if I can bring myprima Gavi, who is just always down
for a good time. Now,my prima Goby. She's a lucky one
because let's let's rewind to when wewere literally out the womb. BFFs.
Our families are best friends. SoI grew up with her. We would
go and travel together. We've beento Miami as little kids together, our

(03:43):
families would rent vans and we wouldgo down to La We've been everywhere together
and then growing up. Actually,it's funny because me and Goby when we
were a little my prima, wewould fight all the time, like her
and I would just fight all thetime. But now obviously we're best friends
because that's just how life goes. And last year when I needed someone to
go to Dubai with me, she'smy Prima that I called up and pulled
the heck up with me to Dubai, my hubeb Se. And now with

(04:10):
this Toronto situation, I just hada few weeks with my boyfriend Zaddi and
it was actually gonna be Father's Dayweekend, so Zaddy was gonna spend it
with his son. So I askedGavi. I'm like, listen, Prima
Toronto wants us to pull up Father'sDay weekend. Are you down? She's
like say less, I don't,mono can wait. It's funny because her
dad and my dad are both namedBarrondo. But nonetheless, we pulled up

(04:33):
with Air Canada that can fly outNonStop flights from all three major airports around
New York City. Was it reallyquick, like what an hour and a
half flight or something even less thanthat, and the airport is really close
to It's like thirty minutes, soit's not even far. Because you know,
sometimes you land places and you haveto go another hour or two or
three to that city you're trying togo to. I don't know why they

(04:55):
make airports so far from those downtowncities. But yeah, no, Toronto's
not like that. It's not hellfar. So I love that. We
took a really early flight and wegot to the hotel and we just knocked
and relaxed for a little bit andthen we woke up. So Destination Toronto
gave me all the City of Toronto. I'm working with the City of Toronto.
They gave me an itinerary and optionsand they're like, pick if you

(05:16):
want to do this, Pick ifyou want to do this, pick if
you want to do that. Sothe museums that they offered, I decided
to go to the Bata Shoe Museum, a shoe museum. My prima Gavi
is a shoe queen. She lovesshoes. Like the two Fights quote fights
that we've gone into were because ofher shoes number one number two. I
like shoes too. I've actually gonemore into my shoe game recently. Here

(05:40):
in New York City. It's reallyhot during the summer. You can't really
have your toes and the dogs outlike that, so I've been kind of
getting cold different sneakers, So I'vekind of been on my shoe game too.
And I love museums. I lovelearning things. This museum, you
saw shoes from like two thousand BC. They were using twigs and leaves to
make their shoes, all right, and then you go down the timeline a

(06:01):
little bit they start using leather. You see different shoes from like the ancient
Indian times. It's crazy to me. And then you see shoes from the
medieval times, like the pointy ones, the awkward ones, the medieval sevens.
Yo. We were just saying, like a whole bunch of different type
of shoes and boots and all that. And then you go through a timeline,

(06:24):
right, and then you go tolike the first sneakers that were invented,
and the old and time, likefrom the tens and then the twenties
and the royal shoes, and thenfrom different places around the world, from
France and Perry and the Italy shoegame. The Italy shoe game is tough.
It's tight. I'm not gonna lie. So we got to see all

(06:45):
that from the museum, and therewas even one floor of the museum.
It's a few floors. There wasone floor where it showed you how shoes
have impacted crime in the world, which is crazy. You know, shoe
prints in different ways that detectives wouldfind people and criminals because of their shoes,
different things like that. So thatwas the fun part for us.

(07:08):
And then they also have an eightiesexhibit where they had a whole bunch of
shoes and explain different shoes from theeighties. And if you know me,
you know I kind of I belongedin the eighties. I think I was
born in the wrong decade. Ishould have been born like in the sixties
or seventies so I could enjoy myteens in the eighties. But uh yeah,
that was really fun. So wewent to the Bata Shoe Museum and

(07:30):
then they invited me to go watcha Blue Jays game, an MLB game.
I've been to a lot of baseballgames. I'm kind of over them
by now, but I do likeseeing new stadiums. Sheesh. This stadium
is so nice and it's like rightin the middle of everything. The ce
and Tower, that big tower thatDrake has one of his album covers on
in Toronto. The baseball stadium isright next to it. And you're sitting

(07:54):
in your seats and you're looking upand the CN Tower's right there. They
hooked it up with these v Ipee. There's servers at our seats asking
us what we want to drink andwant to eat, so we're just feeling
so blessed and royal, and thenwe go to merch shop and there's a
DJ at the merch shop. They'recelebrating Pride that night, so there's like

(08:15):
a DJ and everyone's wearing Pride stuffand there's dancers all around. There's just
like squads of hype girls that arekind of like cheerleaders but for baseball.
And I'm just like, if Iwas in my early twenties or my et
I would have loved this job.I want to do what you do.
I was kind of getting down themand then we will make it down to
our seats again, and I'm justsitting there minding my business. Here comes
Blue Jay, the mascot, rightnext right down my aisle and then stands

(08:39):
up right in front on the littlearea right in front of the batting because
we're kind of behind the home plate, and start doing the seventh inning stretch
with us. I'm like, isthis a movie? This is like a
movie. I can't even believe allthese amazing things that are happening. Me
and GTI are just looking at eachother, like, how are we so
lucky? It's so nice. Theweather was great. You don't even in
a jacket. It's somewhere in Toronto. Dang, it's a vibe. Now

(09:03):
we're noticing a different a few differentthings about Toronto. The subways are really
easy. Everyone is so nice, like the you know how, Oh,
I didn't tell you this, allright? So a few weeks ago,
I was working at the Puerto RicanDay Festival, the one hundred and sixteenth
Street Festival, and this is mysecond time going this year, and I
was coming out the subway and Idon't know where I am or where the

(09:26):
main stage is. So I askedone of the officers, I'm like,
hi, can you point me inthe direction of the main stage? They
go, I don't know, hellarude. And so I was a little
nervous to go up to security guardsor officers in Toronto asking for directions.
But I gotta find out where thistrain station is, right. So I'm
like, Hi, I'm looking fora union uptown and they go, oh,
no problem, go this way andthat way, and you're gonna go
down the tube. They go office. Everyone is so nice. Every single

(09:50):
person that I asked for directions orhelp with in Toronto was so nice.
And then you get to the dangtrain and it's freaking clean. I'm trying
to lick the f of this subwaytrain. They call it the Rapid the
Toronto. It's like it sounds likea ride the rocket. The Toronto subway

(10:11):
is called the Rocket. The Rocketis so flippin' clean that like, you
don't feel disgusted or grossed out. There are so many stops, subway stops
here in New York where you're justlike, I'm gonna get attacked by that
dustball over there, or I'm probablygonna get binned by a rat, or
a humanist might might stab me rightnow. Those are common thoughts every time

(10:33):
you start wandering down to the subway. I do not feel that, not
once in Toronto. And this isthis is interesting. There are home it's
a big city, so there's afew homeless people you're gonna encounter. Why
are they the cleanest to homeless peopleI've seen in my life? Like why
why do they have their nails done? Why are they fully man like?
I even the homeless people are justreally put together and clean and and homelessness

(11:01):
is a huge problem. We've talkedabout it before. It's I feel so
bad for people like that. Iwas definitely I was given out dollars,
which is kind of weird because Ididn't convert, but I was definitely given
out cash to the people that Isaw that were having a tough time that
we're asking for it. But eventhey are clean. I'm like, go
off. So we're walking around thesubways. We're understand trying to understand the
subways. There's this like promotion goingon where if you go and just get

(11:24):
in the line, a really quickline, they'll give you free cans of
tequila, like Tekila Seltzer's so Gavi, like putting our hoodies on, like
going in the line like three differenttimes. There are so many festivals and
things that happened during the summer inToronto, because you know, cities with
actual weather and seasons, they reallyappreciate the summer because they've been cooped up

(11:48):
for like a cold winter or likea mid cold spring. So everybody is
out. We outside in the summerof Toronto after the Blue Jays game and
we got recommended this bar called recRoom. It's right across the street.
The line was not even crazy asyou would expect the end of a baseball
game to be. And it's thishuge bougie daven Busters pretty much huge,

(12:11):
like a warehouse. It's like awarehouse, so many people in there,
so many different games and drinks andeven the restaurant to eat at and everyone
is just like vibe and are havinga good time. Hella, young people
that are my age, so atthat place, it wasn't like twenty year
olds. It's like, I wouldsay Toronto is a good place to be
in your thirties, in your latetwenties, thirties too, because it's not

(12:35):
like a college town where you're goingplaces and you're like, dang, I
feel like a boomer. No,it's like it's cool for people that are
my age or a little older oreven a little bit younger. So I
really liked it for sure, therec room area, and then we come
out and there's people playing music, like busking for music, and people are
selling stuff. It's so cute thatarea of the Cean Tower and the baseball

(12:56):
stadium. The aquarium is right thereThumbia and really close is the train to
get anywhere. But there's also barsand stuff around there. Like I grew
up going to Oakland A's games,a girl, you're next to bar in
the freeway, like you get youdo not you go home after an a's
game. You do not go outin Oakland. Now San Francisco is kind
of cool because there are some barsand stuff around there, but it's so

(13:20):
in the corner and congested that everywhereis going to be a long line to
get And that's not how that downtownarea of Toronto was. You can walk
ten fifteen minutes anywhere and you're gonnaget in everywhere, and everyone's just trying
to vibe after the events that arehappening in that area because there's also a
music venue there too. So wetake the train back home very easy,

(13:41):
back to the hotel, and thenthe next day, we get to sleep
in, right, Yeah, weget to sleep in and then we wake
up and we go to this festival. North by Northeast is a festival.
It's really cute. They have popups there. I they have like vintage
pop ups, so I've got awhole bunch of vintage clothes. They had
everyone that was doing like promotions orselling stuff their little tents, fairs,
food trucks, those things. Sowe went there and it's next to this

(14:05):
popular street called Queen Street. It'skind of like Telegraph in California. It's
kind of like Bleaker Street a littlebit in New York City where there's a
whole bunch of shops, but it'sa little more modern than Bleaker Street.
They have different like cute instagrammabowl dessertplaces like Tangoulu. I went there.

(14:28):
They had an exotic snack shop thatwas really cool with the whole bunch of
snacks are all over the world andlike different snacks. You would ever think
they had like adult shops. Whowent into the adult shop and I was
asking the lady there hell of questionsabout the different things there, and she
also worked at an adult like afterhours. I would say, we're just

(14:50):
asking her a whole bunch of questionsabout that. It's crazy, and she
like invited us to go and likewatch, and like me and Goby were
kind of like, that sounds sointeresting just watching people do that in those
rooms. But we talked to Zaddy, my boyfriend, about it. He
did not want me to go.He's like, no, that is devil
stuff. Do not go there. So anyways, that street, Queen Street,

(15:11):
is hella cool. And then onthat like off of that street,
there is a a few streets ofalleys that are all graffiti work and like
nice graffiti, not like ratchet, just tagging graffiti, actual murals and artwork.
They even had a mural of NipseyHustle Rip Nipsy there. I've a
huge like five stories high. Idon't know how people did these things,

(15:37):
and I've never seen anything like that. So it was really cool going to
the graffiti alley. And then wego to a tiki bar there too,
and we make some friends and makethese girly friends and the girlies they're like,
we're going to the talent festival.Do you guys want to come?
We're like yeah, So we goto a liquor store. We stop by
liquor store, get a few things, and then go to the talent festival.

(15:58):
Now there's an Italian festival. It'scalled San Gennaro. Yeah, San
Gennaro here in New York City. It's a few streets, but it's just
so packed, like you can't reallyeven move and go and do anything.
And it's it's all of little Italy, and little Italy is small. Now,
don't drag me, don't drag me, but this Italian festival in Toronto

(16:23):
went off. I don't know whatkind of festival you've ever been to,
but this specific festival was the coolestand the most fun I've had at a
free, free street, free streetfestival in my life. The girls told
us we're going to go to thisbar, and it's like really cracking here.
Girl. I was there shaking mybooty cheeks for like seven hours.

(16:47):
Gove was done with me. Shewas tired of me and was begging,
See Gove is such a good friend. Like, if I'm having a good
time, she's not gonna be likeI want to go home. She's gonna
be like, you're having a goodtime, I'm not. I'm gonna find
a place to sit, and Ifelt so bad ball so I was thriving
and living my best life. Andon top of it, I was sober.
I had like one heart selter andthat was it. It was hot,

(17:07):
it was nice. There were somany people from all over the world.
More than fifty percent of people fromToronto are not from Canada, so
there's people from all over the worldthat live in Toronto, and everyone is
trying to vibe and have a goodtime, and they're not scared. There's
not that like group scaredness that youfeel sometimes in big crowds, especially here
in America, because Toronto's so safe. Guns are not legal there, so

(17:32):
no one is like scared that something'sgonna get shot up because it will never
happen, and no one is islike nervous. Like everyone is just having
a good time. And in Toronto, you pay your taxes for school and
medical, so that's already paid foryou like that healthcare and school is free
in Toronto. So people aren't likein a bad mood because they're not.

(17:56):
They don't feel broke because they're notlike working to survive. They're like working
to have a good time and agood life. That's how I felt.
That's how I felt going there fromthe people there, because here, like
especially here in New York and youknow, in California where I'm from,
it's just so hard to survive andlive there. Like you're working like six
seven days a week, and youlike barely get time off for nice fun

(18:18):
things, and you're always working, working, working, working, working,
and health is so expensive, schoolis so expensive, rent all the things.
And in Toronto they're just vibing andchilling and all ages were out there
having a really good time. Yeah. I really haven't had so much fun
at a festival that I had atthat Italian festival. Girl. Yeah,
we were literally were there for likeseven hours, and then we left and

(18:44):
went to the One Hotel because there'sa really nice rooftop bar and restaurant there.
We got there kind of ly,but they're like eleven thirty eleven forty
five. Kitchen was closed, unfortunately, but there was a big what is
his name? John Summit at theConvention Center next door, so they were
having the John Summit after party upstairson the roof of that hotel. We

(19:07):
were literally there, but I hadshaken my booty cheeks so much and our
feet were hurting and we're just sotired. We didn't even care about the
rave upstairs. We were like,we just want food and a drink and
go home. We were tired. So that was that day. The next
morning we woke up. That wasSaturday. Yeah, that was that was
Saturday. Yeah, because I didFriday, Saturday and Sunday. Oh my

(19:30):
god, those so Sunday we wokeup and we did have something to do.
Oh yeah. We were invited tothe Exotic Car Show, which is
free, by the way. It'sjust in the middle of the street.
They closed down a long street, put out a red carpet and have all
these vintage and exotic cars from allover the world. And the whole reason
for it is to raise money forcancer. Like like what like Toronto was
so freaking nice. Like in NewYork City, you'd have to pay for

(19:52):
that, you'd have to pay toget in, you'd have to pay to
look at the things, you'd haveto pay to do anything. And Toronto
they're just like, not only ourwere doing this in the middle of the
street of the city, we're alsoraising money here for cancer. It was
so sweet, it was so cool. After that, we went to Sole
we got to see a circ desole show, So who doesn't like circsole?
Like it? You know, thisis what I think about circus acts,

(20:15):
Like after time, you're always like, okay, what can they do
now? Okay, circus we've seenit before. People that are flexible,
we've seen it before. Juggling we'veseen it before, but they always raise
the bar, like how how areyou as a human juggling two hundred ping
pong balls? That doesn't mean I'mthrowing it off walls? How are you
holding and balancing forty cardboard boxes andnot dropping? It's funny things like that.

(20:42):
In this show. It was reallyawesome. There's just so many things
to do like that in Toronto, like there's always there's something. It's like
New York City. There's something todo, but cleaner and nicer people.
So after the Cirk show, wewere recommended to go because they ask what
kind of food I like? AndI like Chinese food, I like China
Town. I like those things. So they got us a reservation at this

(21:03):
really awesome Michelin Star Chinese Speak easy. We took a New berd to like
the middle of Chinatown. We're likecompletely lost of where we were going too
this like weird like storefront that lookslike a psychic storefront, and you take
an alley down into this kind oflike office kind of looking area, and

(21:25):
then on a cardboard sign it saysSunny's Chinese, and you go inside and
you're like transported into a diner, like a really cool, vintage looking diner,
but it's a Chinese restaurant. Oh. The servers were so nice and
so cool and they were so sweet, and I don't know. Something happened
with my visa gift card that likeI don't like there wasn't enough balance or
something. So we were leaving andthey like kindly were like, I'm so

(21:48):
sorry. I'm just checking, likeit says that there's a balance, like
it could be our fault. Didyou pay with some like different card.
I'm like, yeah, maybe Ididn't pay you enough. Let me try
to fix this for you. Andshe was so nice to us, and
I told that we were working withToronto and she was like, oh,
do you need like videos or photossomething. She told the cooks to like
wave at us when we were doingand they were so nicely. Everyone is
like it's like Disneyland, but acity. It's like the treatment you get

(22:11):
from cast members at Disneyland, buta real city, that whole place.
So we did that and then weall, oh, my god, do
I forget I did the edgewalk.I did the edgewalk at the c N
Tower, So that huge tower inToronto, like the staple of the city.
You could walk around that thing andToronto let me do that with Gavi.

(22:33):
We got photos and videos and ourinstructor was so sweet. His name
was we called him v He wasso sweet and so nice. And I
got to go with the team fromDestination Toronto. They were so fun.
It was all women and I don'tthink any of them, none of them
have done it before, and sothey were just really juiced and they we

(22:56):
were just like having a girl's day. Everyone's energy was on ten. We
were so fun. We were likedropping it low. We were into the
cracking jokes. We were all onthe same page, same vibe. The
diversity of Toronto is just so different. And I've mentioned it before about New
York City that, yes, NewYork City is probably the most diverse place

(23:19):
in the world. The difference withNew York City is that the different cultures
and ethnicities and races, they don'treally mingle too often. They kind of
keep to their own. And it'sbecause it's so hard to live here.
Like there's a big poverty gap inNew York City, so that just kind
of tends to make people kind oflook after their own and stick to their

(23:41):
own and be used to their own. So even though New York City has
a big melting pot of people, that people don't really melt together. In
the Bay Area where I'm from inCalifornia, they do, Like our cultures
are the Bay Area culture. Likeyour parents are Filipino, your parents are
Mexican, your parents are Black, your parents are why, your parents are
Vietnamese Chinese. But when you're bornand from the Bay, you're from the

(24:04):
Bay. We don't really it's reallynot separated like that. That's how Toronto
is, even though there's people fromall over the world. We were all
dancing to this busy tho together andthey were actually understanding and knew how to
dance well, and they're all justso accepting and nice of each other.

(24:27):
Like everyone's just like ay ay ay. When I was out at the festival,
like it was just so fun.Even when we were doing touristy stuff.
And even the girls that I wasworking with with Destination Toronto, they
were all different colors from all differentplaces, but everyone was just so fun
and nice and really proud of Toronto. When we got our taxi to the

(24:48):
hotel. On the way there,I asked the man. He was Indian
and there's a lot of Indians inToronto, and I asked him. I
was like, what do you thinkabout America. He's like, no,
America's scary, Like I'm afraid tolike get shot, Like that is liter
really America's stigma and kind of realitytoo. I mean, it's it's sad,

(25:11):
and I love American I'm so thankfulthat my family came here from an
equal to give me the opportunities thatI have. I love the opportunities that
I have. I'm so proud andhappy to be an American. You could
really be who you want and youcould really make a name for yourself in
this country, and that is amazing. But there is still tough things about
being an American and tough things thathappen because we are Americans and the world

(25:34):
sees that and they know that, and it's not a secret. So when
you just travel different places around theworld, you hear what they think of
Americans and you're just kind of like, yeah, I'm definitely not proud of
that, and I definitely don't participatein that, and I really appreciate you
and your culture for having that andyour country for having that together. So
yeah, people in Toronto are reallyproud of being from Toronto. Like everyone

(25:56):
at the Blue Days game, atthe baseball game was like decked out in
Toronto gear. People that are justwalking around are wearing all Toronto stuff all
the time, no matter where youare. So the city has so much
pride, and it's really cool tosee that New York has a lot of
that too. New York definitely hasNew York pride because it's we were just
proud to be in New York andthat we're making it here. And I

(26:17):
see that in Toronto as well. It's not a cheap city. It's not
cheap, but it's clean, everyone'snice, there's so much to do,
the food, it's great. Thereare so many places to explore, and
me and Gove had such a goodtime. I'm so thankful we went.
I'm so thankful that destination Toronto andToronto puts so much love and air Canada

(26:41):
into into my visit there. Iam so excited. I get to go
back next month and Zady's come inour beautiful man Zaddy gets to come this
time. I told him how muchI love it and how I want to
get my Canadian citizenship because I wouldraise a family in Toronto. I really
would raise a family in Toronto.I don't think I can because I need

(27:03):
a free babysitter. It came mymom and dad, but it's just I
cannot wait for him to see itwhen he comes with me next next month.
So whenever you see me post somethingabout Visit Toronto or aeric Canada,
please give it so much love becausethen I'll be able to do more stuff
like this with them. And itwas just the best thing ever. And

(27:25):
then I get to report it backto you and tell you about the cool
things that you get to do whenyou visit Toronto. This podcast is not
sponsored by Visit Toronto. I justam really shook by how much fun I
had there, and I'm really thankfulthat I got to see it, and
I didn't think a place like thatcould exist. It literally felt like a

(27:45):
Disneyland, but a real city,So it was cool. Any downsides,
No, it's just expensive. It'spretty much like as expensive as New York
City, maybe a little less, but yeah, for it's around there,
definitely, but there's still still somany cool things to do and savor coin.
Definitely make your way out. Sothat was a last weekend. My

(28:07):
bidie Magavi has been with me forthe past two weeks and I'm begging her
just to stay for a little longer. This weekend, we're planning all what
to do because I had this pastweekend and next weekend off as well.
Very rare, I know, butI fought so hard to have these three
saturdays in a row off, andI got it off. Baby, it's
summertime. We outis into bouties. What the heck am I going to do

(28:30):
for a weekend? So I wantedto go back to the Hammies. I
love the lake house that I gotto hang out with Michelle and her friends
last summer in the Hampton's. Iwent to the Hampton's maybe two or three
times last summer, and it's justfun to get out of the city.
Like I I got to go tomy trip in May and then June.

(28:51):
It's been busy working here in NewYork, and Toronto is another city I
wanted to get into nature. Ilove nature, I love lakes, I
love hike I love those things. There's not too much of that here in
the city and it can get overwhelming, and just to kind of be with
nature's I think really important. It'sa form of meditation. I really really
wanted to go. Except for everysingle flip in Airbnb or anytime we try

(29:14):
to rent a place in the Hamptons, it is five hundred dollars per person
per night, and that is notthe budget that I'm budgeting in. I
was really sad and I couldn't connectwith the guy from the last time I
was at the Hampton's house. SoI was really upset, but I was
trying to turn my weekend into agood time. So on Wednesday, I
tell the squad, why don't wedo a Jersey Shore weekend. I'm talking

(29:37):
about a Snooky and Diana meatball situation. I'm talking about the situation situation Jersey
Shore. Why don't we go downto Seaside Heights and be the cast of
the Jersey Shore for a weekend.See don't like Jersey I always tell you

(30:00):
that anything about Jersey is a redflag for me. Sorry about it.
People in Jersey are cool, likepeople in Jersey are great. It's just
the city itself very confusing. I'vehad dark, traumatic times in Jersey and
I don't I really don't like goingback. But again, I'm not going
to spend five hundred dollars per personper night in the Hamptons. I'm just

(30:22):
not in that tax bracket yet.So it's looking like I'm going to try
to put a smile on and booka Jersey shore weekend. So I found
I did find a crusty erbnb thatgot approved to go in the Hampton's and
that was going to be the plan. Me and my cousin Govi and neighbor

(30:42):
Jase and his homie, We're goingto drive us, all four of us
to the Hammies and then, bythe grace of God Jesus Christ himself.
I got a response from the manthat owns the lake house that I was
in last summer that I am obsessedin love with, and he tells me

(31:06):
that he has a room available forme and my friends for the mad Low
Lo Lo Lo and I just Iwas shuk, I was shuck and I
thought, oh my gosh, thiscannot be real, this cannot be happening.
But it was. It was real, and it was happening now.
I told him three friends were coming, but actually Jace's neighbor was going to

(31:29):
come too, and I was scaredhe was going to revoke our stay by
adding one more person. So Iwas just like, we're just going to
go and hopefully and hope for thebest and hopefully he's cool, and let's
neighbor roommate just stay with us too. So we pull up and he was
a little frazzled. He was alittle frazzle razzle dazzled in and the bad

(31:51):
ways that I didn't let him know. But in my defense, I did
call him. He didn't answer, and he was just a little annoyed.
But we wouded up paying out withhim for like three hours that night and
we were all talking. He hadhim becoming besties with the extra guy that
came along, So it was allgood. All we had to do was
pay a little extra for it,and he was cool, and there was
enough. There's so much room,I mean it was. It's a huge

(32:13):
house. There was so much room. We could have each had our own
room. So it was all good. Now, this this house, and
I'm talking about this gem, thisdiamond I found, because when I'm looking
around, it is so expensive tostay everywhere, and I cannot afford it.
I can't afford anywhere else on thatlake. So I am so happy

(32:35):
that he let us stay there, the four of us, We're Uphella just
talking. The next morning would wakeup. I'm like, y'all better get
your at booties up because we arecanoeing and we are going to kayak on
this beautiful, big pond lake.So we get out. We get out,
and my prima Gavi, she's sosweet. She was always she's coing
to get She's like, whatever youwant, I'm down. Whatever you want

(32:57):
to do, I'm down. I'mdown. I'm down. So she was
down. He's not a water person. She does not like to be sea
level with the water. She likesto be on a jet ski, on
a yacht, on a cruise ship. She does not like to be in
canoes. She does not like toswim, she does not like to be
on those inflatable things. No,she wants to be in something rather secure.

(33:19):
So she's kind of freaking out alittle bit and she also doesn't like
bugs. She's also allergic to mosquitoes. But she's doing all this for me.
I mean, we're we're shredding inthe swamp of the lake to get
to the canoe, to get thecanoe far enough, and she's not having
it at all at all. Onelist bit and then on top of it,
she brought her phone. So she'slike, has a lot of anxiety

(33:43):
right now, curse her phone ison the canoe, and you know me,
like, girl, I've threw myphone from the top of the sea
and tower before. Like my phone, I've I just wile my phone.
I have that like auto box onit, and I literally chuck my phone.
Sometimes. I'm very careless with myphone, a wristlet thing on it
so that it's always on my armand I'm always running around and I'm I'm

(34:06):
very careless with my phone. Soshe's not, though. She was very
scared about her phone being on thatcanoe and it was kind of interrupting my
vibe. So I told her,GOVI, why don't we park at the
beach and we drop off our stuff, we drop off your phone so that
you're not worried about it. She'slike yes please. So we paddle.
We paddle with our paddles, ourcanoe sticks to the beach right there,

(34:28):
and we drop off all our stuffand she's like, who thank goodness,
Oh my gosh, okay cool.I'm totally fine now I am aokay.
So by this time we are crackingsome Seltzer's open. I'm like two three
Seltzers in. I got my speaker, I got my grooves on the speaker.
The boys are in the kayaks,me, Me and Govy are on
the canoe. We're vibing, We'redoing a good time. We park at

(34:51):
another beach, we shake a littlebit there, we get back on the
boat. It's probably like thirty minutesin right and I'm feeling myself. I'm
a few Seltzer's in and I Iwant to change the song, and I
pull out my phone that I soconfidently never lose, and I end up
pulling the phone way too out ofthe side of the kai canoe and then

(35:15):
yeating my phone into the mittle ofBig Pond Lake Southampton's And when I tell
you, this water is so murkythat I couldn't even see it past the
water. When I tell you thatI jumped off myself head first, dove

(35:35):
into the Lochness Monsters home to somehowthink that I could somehow retrieve this phone.
That's all right, this iPhone thirteenthat's already at the bottom of Lochness
Big Pond Monster. When I tellyou that thing was gone and my heart
dropped to the bottom out of mybooty cheeks into the bottom of Big Pond
Lake mess Monster. My phone wasgone. And within three seconds the speaker

(36:01):
just cut off and everyone was likeooh, and GAVI's just sitting there like
they hey, borer the ha Mira, get my soul. Lon Yo.
She was just like I told you, I told And I was just like,
oh wow, now I'm right there. I get the paddle. I

(36:24):
try to like pull the battle downto see if maybe I can somehow touch
the girl. Girl, I'm inthe middle of a lake. I'm in
the middle of Lake Tahoe right now. I'm in the middle of Lake Michigan.
Girl, I'm in the middle ofthe East Hudson. All right,
this ain't no, no, you'renot getting your phone. It's already down.

(36:45):
It's down. It's done. Thereare murmur down there looking through your
nudes, right now sis, okay, lucknus monster is prank calling your ex
right now? You're done. Yourphone's done. It's gone. It's gone.
So it's done. So did Imy phone? I don't know?
Do I remember anyone's phone numbers?Only my mother's. How am I going

(37:06):
to get a new phone? Idon't know. I'm still my parents' phone
plan. What do you mean? What do you mean? So I get
back on the boat and I'm like, dang, well, that's awkward,
and like the ViBe's kind of weirdfor a second because everyone thinks that I'm
going to be upset. But I'mlike, you guys, it's fine.
It's gone. There's nothing I cando about it. The only thing the

(37:27):
reason I'm annoyed is because I hadthe vibes on with the music. But
we have our snacks, we haveour Seltzer's, we have the beach.
We're all good. I can't doanything about it. I'm not gonna like
be sad. I'm not gonna cry, I'm not gonna harp on it.
I can go to the store.I'm very lucky and privileged that I can
go to the store and just likeget one today. If I really need
one and really want one. WhatI really cared about is text and Zaddy,

(37:51):
because we have some fire texts sometimesand I need to talk to my
man. I love talking to myman. So that was awkward. But
no, like it's not like itwas ruined or anything. We still had
a really good time and we gotoff of the We were there from like
I don't know, like noon, eleven noon to like four, when I
was already getting a little a littlequestionable little to be on those windy,

(38:12):
choppy lake waters. So we allpack our stuff and it was so much
fun. We just kind of chitchat. We drink a little more.
We had some little charcouterie that Igot for us and fruit, and then
we paddle back to the lake house. We do get in the car and
we drive to the AT and Tstore, and within an hour I get
a new phone. So I'm verylike I said, it's it's just a
phone, and it's annoying. Imean, I mean, don't get me

(38:37):
wrong, it's not cute paying athousand dollars for a new phone. It's
not especially when you have paid offthe other one to rent that's at the
bottom of Lake Nests Monster Lake. But there's nothing I could really do about
it, And I'm lucky that Ialways have a savings on me to get
a new phone. So I gota new phone. I was able to
call integ Saddy and my mom andeveryone, and everything transferred over, so
was good. So then at nighttime, the boys were kind of on

(38:59):
the apps, trying to link withgirls on the apps, and we're trying
to like see if you know whowas going to be the contender, or
where we're going to go out oranything. But it started pouring rain.
Next to us. There was likea SpongeBob Jellyfish rave going on. Remember
that episode at Bikinny Bottom and SpongeBob'sPineapple House where the jellyfish take over his
house and I have a whole rave. That was happening literally next door.

(39:22):
We were contemplating going over with abox of like white Claws or something and
saying hi and parting with them, but also like I'm thirty, like I
don't really care and want to.So I was gone to some comfy pajamas
and I had me a little coffeSethal and me and Jay's neighbor we just
were just chatting and talking and wewere just putting each other on knowledge of

(39:45):
weird things and just existential conversations untilprobably three three thirty in the morning.
It was me Jace, our neighborgotty knocked out, and yeah, we
were talking about OCTOPI. We weretalking about my trip de Grease. We're
talking about things that he learned, and we're talking about different animals. We
were talking about different dimensions we believewe live in, you know, those

(40:06):
like late conversations. We're just like, do aliens exist? All that?
All the things? All things? And this guy, he's super smart.
He's really really smart, and hehas really niche studies that he likes to
look into. We're talking about relationshipsand dating and all the things because he's
single. So I love hearing whatsingle people are thinking and into right now.
So it's so fun. Yeah,we're up until three point thirty,

(40:28):
and then the next morning we wakeup. They are not so fancied with
the lake. Okay, Gave hasexcruciatingly painful bug bites all over her that
are getting infected. Neighbor Jason didn'treally care for the lake either. His
neighbor didn't care for the lake either, so they kind of wanted to go
to the town. But me,I wanted to be on the lake.

(40:52):
All I've already been to that town. I've already been to Southampton downtown.
Okay, I don't want to goto boutique. I don't want to have
ex benedict. I don't want tooverpay for like the little things that they
have there. I don't need nickknacks, like I want to be in a
canoe drinking a hard Seltzer, listeningto Brad Paisley with the new phone I
just bought, and reminiscing about thephone that I just dropped in the middle

(41:16):
of the pond. So they're totallyfine with that. I'm fine with going
to the lake by myself. Iwas a little nervous, Like I didn't
bring alcohol because I was a littlenervous. You know, being in a
big body of water by yourself iskind of scary. Of course, I
have a life fest. Of courseI'm going to be smart, but it
is kind of scary because you neverreally know, you know what I'm saying.
But I was like, I reallywant to do this. I think

(41:37):
I can do this by myself.Let's go, girls done dn Na na
na. So I packed my things, I packed my little security board.
I packed my speaker. I didbring my new phone, very bold of
me, but I did bring mynew phone because I want to get some
really cute picks. Because I didn'tget any picks. All the picks were
on my old phone. And Iput on my Keen playlist Essentials. We

(41:59):
love white music in nature. Andwhen I was in high school, me
and my girl Andrea, we justloved Keen. You know that song somewhere
only we Know and Ef you havea minute, why don't we go?
Yeah, they're great. I lovethat band, and so I have one
of their playlists on. I'm innature just listening to that, and just

(42:20):
like on the canoe, I'm like, you know what, I'm going to
canoe around, kayak around the entirebig pond lake. So I start my
little journey. There's there's an oceanof lily pads on one of the edges.
There's like a beautiful, like notebooklooking house on this side. I'm
just looking at all these like richpeople in the Hampton's like putting it like

(42:42):
putting up their their their blankets ondry lines, and it's like, why,
I know you can afford a dryer. You see like all these little
docks with their types of canoes. You see these immaculately kept lawns, and
you're I'm just like going around.I'm looking like, wow, look at
these houses. Look at I cansee people through when I'm being to creep,
I'm being a weird peeping tom, like looking through the windows seeing if
I could see people. And theyhave their like range rovers and Mercedes parked

(43:06):
on the side, and they havebasketball courts and tennis. It's just so
cool, so awesome, and I'mlike, I'm so lucky to be squatting
at this man's house for the madlow on this on this kayak right now
in Southampton. This is such avibe. So I'm just going and going,
and then I land on the beachand I see like like a man
and his son and they're playing volleyballand they're from Equadwater, and I just

(43:28):
start talking to them. We startplaying volleyball in the water together, and
then a little family and other littlefamily comes on the beach and there's just
a few of us just vibing, and then I get on I get on
the sand and then I call mylittle nephew, the little duck Alex.
He's eleven now going to middle school, and I'm asking him how he feels
about middle school and how he's goingto start smelling bad now, so he

(43:49):
better wear a deodor and he betterstart showering because he doesn't want to be
I don't want him to be thesmelly kid. So all the things telling
me about soccer and his life, and we has going on with his grades
and now that he's in summer andall this stuff. So I caught up
with my my so being no Alexthe little duck, and then I call
Zaddy and him and I are chitchadden for like another hour and a half
and then I just like lay toget tan. I crack open my Bible.

(44:14):
I brought my Bible to read,so I'm just reading proverbs there.
Oh, eating beef jerky, drinkingsome water. Yo, It's the life,
I tell you, it's the life. So closer I left, I
got on that water, probably aroundlike eleven, yeah, like ten thirty
eleven, And then closer to threefour o'clock, I start heading back and

(44:37):
they want to go to this Idon't know a bar. I guess it's
called Barnyard, and I guess it'slike the cool cracking spot in Southampton for
kids. And I've already been out. I've been out in the Hampton's before,
I've done the Hamptony things. I'vegone out in like East Hampton before,

(44:58):
and I'm just not impressed. It'snot my It's very sceny. It's
very sceny. You got all thekids that have their mommy and daddy's trust
funds and they're wearing this and thenthat, and they're like trying to look
super cute. Last year it wasall about the clean girl esthetic. You
know, the faked potaga earrings theywere probably real, the slick back buns,
all those things. So that wasthe aesthetic last year, and I

(45:22):
just I didn't really care too muchfor I'm happy that I was able to
do it, but I don't reallycare for that. I want to go
for the nature of it. Butthey wanted to go out, and Gave
has never been out in the town. So I was like, okay,
like I'll be the DD, I'lldrive you guys. So we go to
this barnyard. All right. It'sin a tent, a circus tent.
It's in a circus tent and alsoin a country bar. Like there should

(45:46):
have been a mechanical bull there. And they're playing all American classics, I
mean, Sweet Home Alabama. Theyare dead ass playing Cotton Eye Joe,
Cotton Eyed Joe. Oh, andit's all college kids. It's all college
kids, like if you have afake idea, you are at Barnyard and

(46:09):
I'm thirty and Gotby is twenty nineand Jay is twenty eight? Can to
be twenty? Like we are elderlyhere. We are the elderlies, all
right. They're asking if we needwalkers, But I'll still shake it.
I must still have a good time. I don't care where I am and
what's going on. If there's somemusic, a whole down throat, I'm

(46:30):
in there, so I'm living mybest life. Gabby's a little taken back,
like she wants to leave a littlebit, but she also is like
if it we're here, might aswell, so we're still having a good
time. They do the oh yeah, make me want to shall throw my
hands up and shell and though allthe bartenders get stacks of napkins and to

(46:51):
start throwing the napkins everywhere like it'sconfetti falling, but it's napkins and the
floor is wet because all these collegekids are spilling their beers and it's now
swamp. But the workers are greatthere. I meet one of the bouncers,
Jay. He's awesome. He's beenin this side of Southampton forever and
he's a fan of Z one hundredand he was so sweet, and I

(47:15):
like a jam like Jay, wheredo thirty year olds go? Okay?
Where do I belong? And hegoes, not here? Naia, I
know. I could tell J,thank you, I could tell I know.
Where should I go after this? He's like, you should go to
Sundays. You guys should get somegood food at Sundays. I'm like,
perfect, So there for a littlewhile. It's kind of fun. The
fun thing about this bar, definitelygo if you have a fake ID.

(47:35):
Definitely go if you're barely twenty oneand then you're in college. The fun
thing about this bar is that theguys pay for stickers, and they put
stickers on girls that they think isattractive. But it's just kind of a
silly thing. You end up justgiving stickers to everyone. Even the bouncers
have a roll of stickers, they'llgive out the stickers to girls or boys
and so like you have happy facestickers all over you. So that's like

(47:57):
the funny part about this bar. That's a really unique thing that I haven't
seen before, is that it's afunny culture there. And there was this
funny guy that we were just watching. Is pretty drunk, but he was
just trying to sneakily put stickers onpeople and see if they notice, and
it was. It was cute.It was cute to watch. You know,
I'm never going back again, butit was really cute to say I
did the thing. You know,I did the thing ten years later than

(48:20):
I should have done the thing, but nonetheless I did the thing. And
after that we ended up going toSundays Yep to get some really good seafood.
It was cool, it was good. Next door they had to open
live band, so that was goodand that was way more way, way,
way more our age appropriate. Sowe ended up doing that, and

(48:40):
then afterwards, on our drive backhome, I was like, you guys,
can we just leave? I don'twant to stay another night. Let's
just leave. So I thought,we'n't have to wake up hell early and
come back for Monday because we allhave to work Monday morning. And it
took a little convincing for one ofthe guys, but eventually, yeah,
we packed up everything and we justdrove home. Northampton's depend on what part
of the Hampton's can be like anhour and forty five to Southampton, no

(49:02):
traffic there, and if there istraffic, maybe two and a half to
three hours. Yeah, it's closerto and a half to three hours to
go up towards like East Hampton andup there, and Montalk is like the
furthest Away and then there's another partcalled Fire Island that people go to as
well. So all the things allnow. I was still really fun,
had a really good time, Sothankful that the owner let us day.

(49:23):
He's this really really cool guy andhe even invited us back. Like I
really wanted to go back. Ireally really want to take Zaddy there.
I could just imagine him and Ion the lake all day, having the
best time of our lives with likenobody else, and that's really what I
want to do, and I reallywant to take in there. The lake
gives notebook, that's what the lakelooks like. It looks like it's dead

(49:44):
ass, straight out of the notebook. So I cannot wait to take him
when he comes back in a fewweeks, so we're going to do that.
And young girl Phone still in themiddle of Big Pond Lake, Hampton,
Southampton. Baby, still out there. Got my smiley faces on.
Yes, I shirt it, Ishirt it. Got a whole bunch of

(50:06):
smiley face stickers at barnyard And we'vebeen doing the thing. Baby, we
have been doing the thing this weekend. I think we're gonna stay in I
think we're gonna stay in the citythis weekend, even though I do want
to go back to the Hampton's.I won't go back to the house,
but Gobby didn't like the lake. She doesn't like bugs. She doesn't really
like that thing stuff. So ifit was just me, I would go
back and I would just take thebus there. But I think we're gonna

(50:30):
be a little local on Saturday, and then Sunday we have the Pride March,
the Pride March aka the Pride Paradehere in New York City that,
by the way, started in NewYork City. So I'm gonna bring gove
for that. Good times, goodvibes, cannot wait, all good things.
What do you think? Are yougoing to Toronto? Are you coming
to the Hampton's with me, Whatare you doing this summer? What are

(50:52):
you really really looking forward to thissummer? I have a few more things
that I'm really looking forward to.Zaddy planned another trip for him and I.
He surprised me and booked another internationaltrip in August, and I cannot
wait. We have like sixty daysuntil we go, and I'm so geeked.
We're just going for the weekend, end of day, so we'll come

(51:12):
back like Friday to a Tuesday, and I'm just so, so so excited.
I can't believe he did that.Living our best lives. It's kind
of cute. He invited my entirefamily over his house yesterday for a pizza
night. I'm just like getting somuch fomo. I just like see the
photos and the videos of them livingtheir bus lives. I'm like, you're
living your best life with my familyand your family, and I'm not there.
I'm so sad. I'm so sad. He doesn't mean to start the

(51:35):
phomo. He just loves my family. My family loves him. They all
love hanging out together. And I'mso thankful that I have a man that
appreciates that. And it really workshard to continue that and to make our
family stronger. Even if I'm notthere. I really miss home, but
I know that I have to behere for the next few weeks and it's
really hard going back and forth,so I'm going to keep it around here

(52:00):
for the summer. I'm thinking they'realways asking where are you coming, When
are you coming, where are youcoming. I have stuff for friends,
like weddings and baptism is and thingslike that, so I'll go back for
that. But other than that,it's it's really hard on my body going
back and forth, leaving a Fridayafter work, getting in Hella ly and
then leaving last thing on a Sundaynight to go back to work on Monday.

(52:21):
It's just it's been really heavy onmy body. So I think I
need to kind of rest on that, especially if I have a lot of
stuff going on here at work.So that's what we have a go in
a one, let's do our dailymotivator and then our prayer at the end
to close out the show today. The daily motivator active appreciation. Take something
for granted and you diminish its value. Take it for granted long enough and

(52:45):
you could lose it all together. That's because whatever you take for granted.
You fail to make use of yourinattention leaves it to crumble into despair.
But that doesn't have to happen becauseyou can make it your business to appreciate.
Appreciate illuminates and gives you access toexisting value. Your appreciation informs,

(53:05):
inspires, and encourages you to buildon that value. Your appreciation informs,
inspires, and encourages you to buildon that value. Replace resentment and empathy
and apathy with gratitude and active appreciation. I knew that gratitude is going to
be in here. Replace resentment andapathy with gratitude and active appreciation. Connect
with the boundless abundance that already exists. Think of all you can appreciate and

(53:30):
act on those thoughts. Continually rediscoverand give your energy to the good that
exists in your world and in yourlife. Pretty much this is telling us
to just try to stay as positiveas you can and as grateful as you
can. One of the biggest thingsI learn and learned is gratitude for everything

(53:52):
and having that outlook and practicing gratitude, rediscovering and giving your energy to the
good that exists, and being appreciativeof that it goes such a long way
because everything that you are and haveand exists around you, there could be

(54:13):
negatives to it. Obviously everything canhave negatives to it. But when you
kind of harp on that and thinkand fixate on that, that's just going
to drive you down because anything couldbe negative. So I really like this
because it's helping us to remember andreminding us to give value to all the
things we have by appreciating it andby saying thank you. Ah, I

(54:38):
love that. How do you feelabout that? What are some things that
maybe you're not giving full value toor maybe you are taking for granted that
You're like, you know what,I should be more appreciative of that.
If I don't start saying thank youfor paying attention to those great things,
like, maybe it could all goaway and then you're going to wish you

(54:58):
had it again. It is true, whatever you take for granted, you
feel to make use of and itleaves it to crumble into despair disrepair.
Amazing. I hope you enjoyed that. I hope you like that daily motivator.
You can do yours every day atgreat day dot Com. Now we're
going to get into our prayer, and I always tell you that I don't
try to push my religion on you. I never want to do that.

(55:20):
I got into praying and prayer andit's helped me so much to be gracious
for what I have and thankful andhave a positive outlook on things. And
I feel like I have been gettingso much more and more and more when
I've been putting myself into my faith. So if you want to join for
the prayer, if maybe you've neverprayed before, know what it is like,
why don't you try it? Whydon't we see how this goes for

(55:42):
us? Or if maybe you're notthere yet you don't want to hear about
it, It's totally fine. Thankyou so so much for hanging out with
us for another episode of Crystal's Nightcap. I know that I pop in and
out with the pause. Summer iskind of hectic, so I hope that
you can be patient with me andunderstand that when I have family in town
or when I went my loved ones, I really try to be as present
with them as possible because I knowthey're making a sacrifice to be with me.

(56:05):
So these past few weeks, myPutymagavi has been with me and I've
been taking my time with her,but I'm really happy that I got to
hang out with you for a littlebit that work today. So thank you
for being with me through the inconsistencies. Thank you for keeping a locked on
my radio show. There are somechanges that are going to be coming up
within the next year that I amreally thankful and grateful for that I've been

(56:29):
praying for and hoping for, andI've been vocal to the hands that be
here about things that I'm expecting andwant and need for my next venture.
And so those conversations are starting tohappen. So please pray for me that
I'm following God's will ultimately, Pleasegive me good energy and that because as
I mentioned, there are going tobe some changes coming up within this year,

(56:52):
so I hope that they're all forthe better. I'm praying that they
are and will. I appreciate thatand for your special intention whatever it is.
I know life is so sometimes anda lot of us have things going
on. If there's anything that Ican help you with, you know on
socials, you can always reach meon Snapchat. I'm at lat Crystal Rosas
if you need resources, If youneed me to connect you with someone.
I can definitely outreach and do somethinglike that. If you are having a

(57:15):
problem that you just cannot fix,if you needed advice as well, hit
me on there. I can helpyou with whatever you need. Just as
much as you are here for meand what I go through and share the
journey of life with me, Iam just as much as there for you.
So I will give good energy andlove and good vibes to whatever special

(57:35):
intention that you have and need. And thank you so so much for listening.
I will see you on the nextone. But now, if you
want to stick around for the prayer, let's do the prayer for today.
This prayer is out of a bookthat I strongly suggest you get. It's
a daily calendar book by Sarah Young. It's called Jesus Calling and actually just
takes scriptures of the Bible and itcome It's a compilation of these scriptures that

(58:00):
are to help you stay present andfocused and close to God. Working with
your relationship spiritually is a practice. That's why it's called practice. You have
to practice, you have to actuallydo it. The more you practice it,
the better that you get, andthe more that you just kind of
become more fulfilled in the beauty thatyour God or religion is. So if

(58:20):
you need a little extra oomph,if you feel like you're kind of written
with anxiety or stress, it's reallyhard for you to live in the moment
and you don't understand how so manypeople are so happy and you really want
that to be you, then youshould be working on staying present because those
anxieties and stresses are robbing you fromyour joy. And this is how I
learned to stay present is by thisdaily calendar prayer book. It's called Jesus

(58:45):
Calling by Sarah Young, and todayis June twenty fourth, so we're going
to do the one for today. The title says, hold my hand and
trust. So as long as youare conscious of My presence with you,
all as well. I love that. I love that, I love that.
I love that. As long asyou are conscience of My presence with
you, all is well. Itis virtually impossible to stumble while walking in

(59:07):
the light of Me. I designedyou to enjoy Me above all else.
You find the deepest fulfillment of yourheart in Me alone. Fearful anxious thoughts
melt away in the light of mypresence. When you turn away from me,
You're vulnerable to the darkness that isalways at work in the world.
Don't be surprised by how easily yousin when you forget to cling to my

(59:30):
hand. In the world, dependencyis seen as immaturity, but in my
kingdom, dependence on me is aprime measure of maturity. I like the
line that says it is virtually impossibleto stumble while walking in the light with

(59:52):
me. I like that because likethat, Okay, when you break that
down, like life is so hard. There are so many choices. We
always have a choice to do,like what is the right thing and what

(01:00:13):
we think is the right thing, and we as humans. But when when
you think of like what is theactual right thing to do? Like what
would a just and fair person do? That's what it means by like being
close to God and Jesus right,Like who whoa whoa would Jesus do WWJD
right? So when you think ofthings that way, the answer is always

(01:00:37):
really simple. It's always take thehigh road, turn the other cheek,
give more, give more right,be honest, don't lie, don't steal,
don't sneak, listen to your parents. All those things that we are
that you grow up hearing. Nowwhen you do that, it is it.
You can't go wrong, like youcannot go wrong doing the right thing,

(01:00:57):
which is something that I learned.I definitely learned that as I'm getting
closer in my spirituality. It's hard, it's harder to do the right thing
sometimes, but when you do theright thing, you feel better and like
it. And when you do thewrong thing, that will always come to

(01:01:21):
light too, Like it's it's notgonna have good outcomes with there's something.
If you're doing the wrong thing, there's a reason it's wrong, and some
way it will come back. Andso that's why I like that line.
It's virtually impossible to stumble while walkingin the light with me, because if
you do choose to do the rightthing and not what you think is right,

(01:01:43):
but actually the right thing, thenyeah, you can't fall. You
can't stumble. I designed you toenjoy Me above all else. You find
the deepest fulfillment in your heart inMe alone. It's just it goes back
to practicing. It goes back tolike if you're in a crummy situation,
but you're just like whatever, likeit's meant to be and God has it

(01:02:06):
and it will be taken care of. That's when you start letting go of
those anxieties and those stresses. LikeI'm telling you, like a year or
two ago, if I drop myphone in the middle of lake, it
would have ruined my whole. Iwould have told all of us to get
back in the car so I canget a phone right now. But I
was just like, okay, likeI'm not gonna have my phone for a
little while, Like I'll eventually geta new phone. Uh, Like it's

(01:02:28):
okay, Like, you know, even if I didn't have money, I'll
put on a credit card. Iwill put that thing on a credit card
and pay it off eventually. Youknow, we all work. We all
work, so it's simple things likethat. Now, I also want us
to remember that there is so muchroom and we are allowed to make mistakes
and do the wrong thing. Thatis okay, Like that's what humans are,

(01:02:51):
that's our existence is based off ofus in so don't be hard on
yourself. Like when you feel like, oh, I didn't have that wrong
or I should have done that differently, that's okay. You're growing. At
least you're thinking about that. Illat least you hope on growing. I'm
not perfect. I do wrong thingsall the time, and I give myself
the grace when but I also ampracticing and I'm trying not to. But

(01:03:14):
it's okay when things don't work outthat way. Give yourself grace. You
are not perfect. I still partakein things and habits that I'm not proud
of and I know are kind ofbad for me, and I know that
there's reasons that it's bad for me, but I still do stuff like that
sometimes, and I'm like, listen, you know, I'm human. I'm
human, and no matter what, there's only one person in the world that
can judge me, and that isGod. And I am okay. I'm

(01:03:37):
breathing, I'm eating, I haveclothes and a place to lay my head.
I'm fine, and you are too. And as I mentioned, I
know life is hard and there's alot of stressers we think, but don't
forget that you cannot control the future. You can only control how you feel
right now in the moment. AndGod is always with you. Life is
always with you, Love is alwayswith you. Joy means Jesus others yourself.
So keep that in mind. AndI hope that that helped you did

(01:04:00):
you like this prayer together again. This is from Jesus calling and joining peace
in His presence by Sarah Young.Every day there's a new one of these.
It's a really short paragraph, andI read this every single day I
go on air to remind myself tobe present, to be joyous, and
to be the best person I canbe on air. It's a huge responsibility
that I have millions of people everyweek listening to me on the top station

(01:04:25):
of New York City. So Iwant to make sure that even when I'm
saying things, I'm saying the rightthings. And whatever it is you do,
you have so many people around youthat you work with and see and
that care and love for you,and you deserve for yourself to do the
best things as well. And I'mproud of you. I'm very very proud

(01:04:45):
of you because I know it's hard. I know it's hard to take a
high road, but I know youdo a lot of the times, and
for that, I love you,and I thank you for hanging out with
me again, and I will seeyou on the next one. Okay,
