Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest, the Minecraft movie was
already smash it after its first weekend in theaters were
raked in one hundred and sixty three million dollars, the
best of the year and the best of all time
for a video game adaptation.

But in its second weekend it continued to perform beyond expectations,
earning another eighty million dollars variety of reports. That brings
a total to two hundred and eighty one million domestically
and five hundred and fifty million globally, and the impact
of those earnings stateside can't be understated. Movie theaters have
been struggling this year, with the box office totals nearly
eleven percent behind twenty twenty four, which is a big
amount until Minecraft arrived. With the earnings from this film alone,

the box office surge two point five percent ahead of
last year, and hopefully with a slate of popcorn is
summer movies looming, that total will continue to grow. Minecraft
is in theaters now.
