Orlando Bloom is a household name, of course, but before
he started in what still may be the highest profile
role as the elf Legaliss in the Lord of the
Rings trilogy, he was anything but. In fact, unlike the
rest of the league cast, Orlando had no major credits
to his name, and he just reflected on how surreal
that made the experience, he told an enthusiastic crowd at
Awesome Con. As a young actor, I remember sitting there,

fresh out of drama school, with all these legends, thinking,
what am I doing here? How did this happen? This
is unbelievable. It was pure excitement. I was only twenty,
not really knowing anything because it was my first movie experience.
I was like this open vessel. I just understood my
whole life was beginning, and I was also beginning this
remarkable journey. I wish I could bottle that feeling and
