Straight out of Compton.

Snoop Dogg appear briefly as a very minor character played
by le Keith Stanfield, but the next actor to play
the iconic rapper will have quite a big responsibility. Jonathan Davis,
who's probably best known to Outer Banks fans for portraying Pope,
has been cast to play at Calvin Brotis, the man
known by the world of Snoop Dogg, in an untitled
biopic about the life and times of the Long Beach Rapper.

Director Craig Brewer, who previously helmed another film about a
rapper's rise, albeit an imaginary one, and Hustle and Flow
as also signed on Snoop himself, will produce the movie
through his Death Row Pictures Company's first film.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
It's expected to go into production later this year. That's
direct from Hollywood.
