Speaker 1 (00:00):
She shaped that girl. Derek, good morning, Hi, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
So I was listening to your podcast, so crazy things
that your boss had you do. So I had a
crazy story, let's hear it. So I got a text
from my boss at like five am and she said
I worked for a plastic surgeon. She was going to
be going into surgery later that day to give somebody

(00:29):
some new implants and realized that the metapalosis and had
ordered the wrong implants. So she had me drive. It
was a three hour round trip to meet the sales reps,
pick up the right implants. Get you didn't want to
cancel the surgery, of course, lose the you know, the
cost of the surgery, and cancel on the patient. Anyway,

(00:51):
they nicknamed me not the boot legger, but the boob
lagger was I was the boot legger that day to
get them back. I literally got there, got back in
time like a half an hour before the the surgery
was going to be. But it was so funny because I,
you know, ran in, gave him to the receptionist the
desk of the surgery center. She's like grabbing him, running

(01:12):
a back to surgery, and you know, the patient never
knew nobody.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Knew what happened when you when you bring him in
and you're rushing, are you holding a boob in each hand?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I wish they take him.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
It was almost as if it was kind of funny.
Oh yeah, it was a funny day.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
But and was the patient happy?

Speaker 5 (01:38):
You know?

Speaker 2 (01:38):
They I don't think they knew the what was going
on behind the scenes.

Speaker 6 (01:42):
Yeah, but have you seen that? Had you seen him
come back in for check up?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I saw the after Yeah, the after shot.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yeah, it happy awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Well, thanks for sharing that. Start with this bo Harrison
Ford movie.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
In. Hi, Carrie, do you have an assistant story?

Speaker 5 (02:14):
I do.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
I have a great story.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
So years ago I worked for an attorney in town
and he told me that if anything ever happened to him,
I was supposed to get this box out of our
storage and he gave me the number. Well, Corys, I'm
very young and curious. So when he's in court one day,
I went into the storage go see what it was,
and with pictures of him, his girlfriend apparently at the time,

(02:38):
their body parts and other women, pictures of naked women
in the spot. And so I was like, oh my gosh,
this is not his wife. He's wife with kids and everything.
That's not his wife's face I know, or I don't
know her body, but not her face. So I ended
up taking tip copies of everything before I left that firm,
And years later I found out they were getting worse

(03:00):
and I mailed him to her, so she had him
for proof.

Speaker 7 (03:07):
Savage, you're such a girl's girl for that the last
last there.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yeah, yeah, Arizona doesn't matter. You don't have to you
can cheat, and it doesn't matter about your divorce. But
just so she had proof that, like he was a dog.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
How about him though, trusting you to have access to
all that information?

Speaker 4 (03:29):
I know, because he didn't. Oh well, of course I
was young and he told me not to go in
the box. I'm like, oh, okay, sure, no problem, he
goes it's just confidential stuff. But if anything ever happens
to me, you should destroy it.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
And I'm like, okay, destroy it.

Speaker 8 (03:43):
Come on, you don't tell someone you don't go in
the box and think they're not going to go in
the box.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
They're going in the box.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
That attorney. I would have said that to a friend
of mine.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Hey, man, if something goes down, someone really.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Your Yeah, because it had be somebody that had access
to the story.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
But then I would give my friend access to the
storage if it is that, or I would have that
box keep it somewhere else.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Well, he clearly wasn't that smart.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
What a drumb attorney.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yeah, he wasn't very smart. Nonetheless, anyway, that was my story.
So I have that weird ones, but that's.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
The most most Is he still practicing?

Speaker 4 (04:20):
No, he's he's retired.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Now. Okay, Well, thank you so much, Carrie. What a
beautiful story.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Oh wait, what also? I want to tell you what thing?
Then he got one?

Speaker 8 (04:32):
Maybe he was like secretly sort of in love with you.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Yeah, the box?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Did you do it?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I was like no, I would never do that, and
he was disgusting and old. Anyway, I was.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Very n.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
I saw this thing about the number one TV shows
that were streamed right now, and nineteen twenty three was
number two.

Speaker 7 (04:53):
Oh really of all the.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
TV streaming services ninteen tweenys number two right now, which
is pretty huge.

Speaker 8 (04:58):
And you've finished it yesterday. I was crying. I was
in tears, like not just because I'm sad it's over
and now I know, like the it's over.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
It's just it's done.

Speaker 8 (05:09):
But I just there was so many emotional parts in the.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Final episode that really got me, and I.

Speaker 8 (05:15):
Feel like it's been a long time since the TV
show made me cry, Like it's been a really long
time since I got emotion. I'm like on the couch
and I'm like, oh my gosh, this is crazy.

Speaker 7 (05:25):
It's such a like for me.

Speaker 8 (05:27):
The first season was okay in the fact that it
was interesting and it was enjoyable to watch, but it
wasn't like I could take like I could take breaks
and watch something.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Mean.

Speaker 8 (05:37):
The second season is like I couldn't stop watching it.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
It's one of my favorite TV shows. In fact, I
started watching it again. I liked it so much because
I liked season two. I was telling Kyle yesterday, it's
like a fabulous movie, like the way it ends, but
I can't tell you how many times I went.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Like, there's some gut punches.

Speaker 8 (05:55):
I know, and I was kind of like, like, John Jay,
you were saying, yes that, like it could still go on.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
It could totally still go on exactly. Rich's like they just.

Speaker 8 (06:04):
Ended it so abruptly, it was like and then forty
five years later he dies it's.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Like, give us the forty five years.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Here's the scoop I know is that Taylor Sheridan has
another show coming out. I think it's called nineteen forty four,
and it's that storyline. So Spencer is in his forties
or fifties and at that time, So they might get
another actor to play that. But in the end they
show it, they take it in nineteen sixty nine. That
last scene, yeah, is nineteen sixty nine. But there's still
things that happen, like you could easially do a third season.

Speaker 8 (06:33):
I need more Spencer.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah, there could be so much more. It doesn't there
could be another adventure. I mean essentially, here's the storylines
of all of eighteen eighty three, nineteen twenty three and Yellowstone.
They're trying to take their land. Yeah, and that's it.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
So all I gotta do is see next season trying
to take my land and maybe this time it's not
it's not the government or it's not whatever, it's the
whoever is.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Trying to take your land in the French.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
I think you will, Kyle, Now you gotta go back
and watch eighteen eighty three. It's just as enjoyable. And
when you see how good tim Mergrand Faith Hill are
in that show, they're excellent.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
And then, yeah, you're right, eighteen eighty three ripped my
heart out.

Speaker 8 (07:08):
It's tough, I think because my sister said she liked
nineteen twenty three better than I.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I love nineteen twenty three. I would never sit through
eighteen eighty three again. If I knew what I knew now,
I would not do it. I would only want to
watch it because I want to see Spencer when he's three.

Speaker 8 (07:22):
Okay, that's it.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Well anyway, okay.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
The Grant Inman Couples Therapy podcast drops Sunday at ten
o'clock in the morning on the John jene Rich on
demand channel. By the way, we need to contest that
we're going to play a game eight seven seven nine

Speaker 1 (07:38):

Speaker 3 (07:39):
We're gonna play switcherrou eight seven seven nine three seven
one four seven. In the meantime, Grant tell us a
little bit about the podcast.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Yeah, So obviously, my wife and I have a very
relaxed and uh, we've been doing a podcast for a while.
So our relationship is we just share everything and we
have this pretty intense way of just bringing stuff up
or gaslighting each other. And I, as we all know,
doing a podcast, the most fun part is gaslighting your
significant other on a podcast.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's the best.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
So I have a clip of uh, here's here's one
clip of me gaslighting my wife rich cut.

Speaker 9 (08:15):
Pinterest recipes like the week the weekends, spit it out,
shut the up, I'm getting there.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
She has a short pid.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
Yeah, so that's that's me gaslighting my wife. And then also, uh,
let's see here. You gotta you gotta fill time with
how you can. So I pitched an idea. I said, hey,
let's write a let's write. She was complaining about books,
and I said, let's write a young adult book together.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
And this is what happened.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
And lets you and I let's write a young adult book.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
I don't want to.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Why not?

Speaker 7 (08:50):
I can't think of a book.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
I'm not a writer.

Speaker 9 (08:53):
Do you think that if I was a writer and
had million dollar ideas that we'd be sitting here on
this sofa doing this podcast.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Height I am a writer and I have a million
dollar ideas, I know, And then do.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
You think he was a writer and I have million dollars? Married?

Speaker 5 (09:12):
And then Kyle.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
You you had good questions that you know, really stimulated
the conversation between you and Fish, and so I took
you know, I wrote a question for Kate, and this
is my question I asked her in the episode.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
This is a bit of a riddle question for you, Kate.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
If you were to come home from work and I
told you I lost my wedding ring inside my body,
where do you think it would have gone?

Speaker 5 (09:39):
And you can find the answer question? No, No, that's
a question.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
I wrote.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Questions that.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
You know, you tease things and you get people excited
to listen, and I figure maybe people would want to
show up. But I think most people know what the
answer is to that question, especially her guests.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
You know, I've been around your life a couple of times,
but she seems so quiet. I didn't think she would cuss.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
We get into podcast mode, it's we're on hinge. I
gotta be honest. I hang out with Grant and his
wife a little bit around the band. I'm a little
afraid of her.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
You should be.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
Like her and my wife get along great. But I'm
a little afraid of Kate because she looks like she
will kick your ass if you if you step out
of it. I feel like Stacey and Kate have similar energies,
just like Peyton and Kate have similar like yeah, you
guys are very similar, right, and.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
You gotta have more than one spirit animal? Can you
have more?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, So that drops on Sunday at ten ten am.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Yes, sir, all right, first and last time, guys.

Speaker 1 (10:47):

Speaker 2 (11:05):

Speaker 7 (11:08):
Okay, this is gonna be super fun. I'm going to
give you guys the opposite title of a movie title,
and you guys have to give me the correct one.
You guys. I made this a little easy for you, guys.
I wanted you guys to have a chance at you know,
usually not really when it comes to room time. I
think you can. So you're gonna have the opportunity to
get two points. One point if you get the title right,

(11:28):
and then another point if you are giving me the
energy when you give me your answer, you can scream it.
You can say it in a weird accent. I don't care,
but have fun with it. Okay, Okay, John Jay, we
are going to start with you. Your movie title is
the Slow and.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
The Calm, the Fashion of the Furious.

Speaker 7 (11:47):
I told you it's gonna be easy energy and if
you do not go to the shame couch. Okay. Richie,
your title is the Best, the Good, and the Beautiful.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
Wait do that again? Please?

Speaker 7 (12:04):
The bad, the good, and the beautiful.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
Okay, so it would be the the Good, the Bad,
and the ugly.

Speaker 7 (12:11):
Yes, I like it. And the energy was there. You
were talking loud. You weren't yelling, but talking. Okay, Kyle,
we move over to you. John Jay and rich both
have two points on the board.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
Kyle.

Speaker 7 (12:24):
Your movie title is forward to the.

Speaker 6 (12:27):
Past, back to the future.

Speaker 7 (12:29):
Yes, Kyle on the board?

Speaker 5 (12:30):
What two points?

Speaker 7 (12:32):
All right? Shelby, birthday girl. I'm gonna okay. Your title
is the Bright Daylight.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
The bright daylight.

Speaker 7 (12:44):
I need the opposite the.

Speaker 9 (12:49):
Star sunshine.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
I have no idea.

Speaker 7 (12:52):
What's the opposite of daylight?

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Moonlight?

Speaker 2 (12:56):
The bright moonlight.

Speaker 7 (12:57):
There's a movie called like the Dark Trying. I'm trying
to walk you to this one super movie. Oh my gosh, Shelby,
It's okay. The answer is the Dark Night.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Oh I didn't get that you're doing the Twilight, the
Dark Moon or something like that.

Speaker 7 (13:17):
No, I'm going with the Dark Knight.

Speaker 8 (13:19):
But it's the toughest one so far.

Speaker 7 (13:21):
Oh my gosh, I didn't meant to give you the
toughest one, Shelby. How dare I? It's okay, you have
a chance in this next round, John Jay, we are
going to start with you. You have two points right now.
You only get a point this round if you give
me your answer and an accent. Okay, John Jay. Your
movie title is The Noise of the Lions. It's a
scary movie.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
The Hello, the Silence of the Lambs.

Speaker 7 (13:46):
Hello, Hello, Okay, Ritchie, Yep. This is a little chucky,
but I think you can get it if you just
like enter the mind of Nick. Modern city.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
Oo, okay, modern city.

Speaker 7 (14:01):
This one's I think the hardest one.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
Okay, so old town, old town roads. It's a modern
talking about talking about star Wars. It's talking about.

Speaker 7 (14:17):
Maybe dinosaurs, a Gymnassic okay, Gymnassic. The Boy for two
Boys I walked you to that. You're welcome style Yours
is also difficult, But I think you're gonna be able
to get this one because it's like an iconic movie trilogy.
I think they have like five movies. I know that
trilogy is three, but they have like five movies. I

(14:38):
don't know what the name is for that. Your title
is the Full Feast. Okay, it's tricky, so fast ups.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
Feast is famine the go maybe breakfast feast for dinner, specifical.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
The empty two, maybe empty two, an empty two?

Speaker 7 (15:00):
Maybe like a cat Andus Everdeen kind of vibe the
Hunger Games points you, guys, I'm being a pretty ChIL
dread shut and I feel I can't get all these points.
That's why, Shelby, if you get this one right, birthday girl,
you get five points. But you have to give me
your answer in an accent. Okay, okay, okay, this round

(15:22):
was more tricky round. But your title, Shelby is The
Lady of the Chains, of the Change, Lady of the Chains,
The Lady of the Chains. It's an iconic movie, an
older movie. I've never seen any of them. I think
there's like ten.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
The Gentlemen of the Freedom.

Speaker 7 (15:45):
One though, the Change. I think there's like a little
like alien thing in it, like a little.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
The Man without Restraints, the Man of the Iron Mask.

Speaker 7 (15:59):
What's the opposite like a lady.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
A man, oh girl, a man.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
Like a like a like.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
There's you have a.

Speaker 7 (16:08):
Lady and then you have a lure o.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Lord, Yes, you have a lady, Lord, the Lord of
the Rings.

Speaker 7 (16:13):
Thank you Joh for coming in. And still you're going
to give your points to Shelby because it's her birthday.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Yeah, all right, Shelby, you just got a four pack
of tickets for this Sunday's game against the Braves for
the d Backs.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
