Speaker 2 (00:09):
Great guest too. Actress and director Bryce Dallas Howard.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
She's gonna be zooming in later with a scoop on her.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
New Disney plus Dot Pets plus gonna dig into the
bush here some easter live acts in Courtney's corner, ask
a random question, and just a few songs away from
our throwback soundtrack.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
So turn it up. You're on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
A Mario Lopez And if you're like me, you probably
always try to find ways to optimize your time. So
what does the perfect day look like? Well, researchers have
reportedly used science to figure out what a perfect day
looks like. I guess it's subjective, but here's what they say.
An hour of eating and drinking. Okay, okay, I'm down.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
So wait is that all meals combined? I guess I.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Can't handle that. I can't handle that. Wait, that needs
to be three times the amount. At least only six
hours are working? Ooh, okay, fifteen minutes of commuting? Yes,
two hours of exercise okay, and then three and a
half hours socializing and hanging with friends.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Okay, I stand corrected. I do like this a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Science also suggests that the perfect day would also include
six hours with family.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
WHI do you sleep?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Ah?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
That's six, that's twelve. Then you got no, you got
another twelve hours sleep?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yeah, that's good. Keeping the music coming your way.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Mario Lopez here along with Fraser, is going to break
down a few of the new things hitting TV and
streaming today.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
NBC and Peacock have the season five premiere of Law
and Order Organized Crime, which I know you know all about.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Five seasons of that, not to be confused with Law
and Order SVU or the OG Law and Order, which
iced T is still.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
On, yes and crushing it in the acting game on
that show. Netflix says the series premiere of Istanbul Encyclopedia,
a young student moves in within a strange family friend
in Istanbul, trading her humble hometown for a city that
tests her identity and convictions.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
That's original. I like that original premise.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
And you'll probably like this.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Netflix also premiering a new Western series called Ramsen Canyon.
Passions run Deep in small Texas town is three ranching
dynasties fight for their land, their legacies, and the people
they love.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
So basically Yellowstone on Netflix. Yes, wow, Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Took him a second.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
You know, they originally passed on Yellowstone, so they're giving
it their own shot now. I'mark Cordo Lopez, Ryse Dallas
Howard zooming in next hour to talk about her new
doc Pets, which you can see over on Disney Plus.
Sticking with a pets theme, I saw this and thought
it was interesting. If you're a pet owner, there's a
good chance you have a nickname for your pet that
you use more than their actual name. Reddit asks readers

(02:34):
to share theirs, and the responses are pretty creative.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Some of the nicknames people.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Dropped in the replies doodle bug, doctor, Fats, rodent, monster,
fluffy butt, Satan. Well, it makes me think of our
first dog, Julio, because we used to call him on Mono.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
That's right, you did.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
And Salvador we call him Sal for short.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
I call him Sally Sallyito, and Oscar we call him.
I actually started calling Sal Sally Hirschberger the other day,
and I don't know why I.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Don't do that don't do that, Oscar. We keep it
Oscar though.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
Huh No, I call him Oscar Lio.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
It just like a little play on it.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I call him Dominic calls him my little potato.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Mario Lopez on the way, what a Mario Lopez here
keeping the music going. And by the way, if you
never wanted to stop, gotta download an all new version
of the free iHeart Radio App. It's everything you love
about your car radio in the palm of your hand,
which means when you get out of the car you
can keep on listening. Plus new features like the live
radio dial and even lyrics so you don't have to

(03:39):
make him up anymore.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Like my wife does.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
The iHeartRadio App will make it even easier to enjoy
and discover your favorite radio stations, artist radio playlist and
podcasts anytime, anywhere, all.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Right, keep you the music in fun Come in your way.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Mario Lopez here about to fire up Zoom and chat
with actress director Bryce Dallas Howard.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Gonna get the scoop on her new Disney.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Plus doc Pets and a whole lot more. First, though,
some more music, So birl. Mario Lopez joining me now
on Zoom. Actress and director Bryce Dallas Howard. How are you, Bryce,
I'm very good.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I'm doing well.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Always nice to see you and congratulations. I love this
doc because I'm a big animal lover. It's out on
Disney Plus called Pets, and it's all about the connection
between humans and their pets.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Right I have three dogs. I feel pretty connected.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
A little closer to one maybe than the other two,
but for the most part, you know, love them all.

Speaker 7 (04:34):
Yeah, of course, of course. It's like your children.

Speaker 8 (04:37):
You don't You don't have a favorite child, You just
have an easiest child.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Right, well, I have.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I always tell them when they ask me the favorite,
I said, it varies.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Sometimes you're my favorite, sometimes you're my favorite, depending on
you all that, you know what I mean. But what
kind of pet stories do you follow on this doc?

Speaker 8 (04:52):
Well, I mean it's it was a really fun experience
because there's kind of three areas that.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
That we.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Explored.

Speaker 8 (05:04):
One is that I interviewed kids about their pets. Okay,
so kids are sort of the narrators of this documentary.
It's sort of narrated by a Greek chorus of children.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Oh that's cool.

Speaker 8 (05:17):
Have kind of the greatest hits of my favorite viral
videos that give me dopamine hits, you know when you
watch them with.

Speaker 7 (05:26):
Pet And then we profiled.

Speaker 8 (05:30):
A number of pets and their people around the world,
folks in particular who work in the rescue space, and
so yeah, those kind of stories of mutual rescue. There.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
What great family viewing right there.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Well, can't wait to watch it with the whole fan
dam All right, Bryce, hang time for me, going to
take a quick break and we're going to come back
with Bryce Del's Howard.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
More fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Getting back to today's guest actress and director Bryce Dallis Howard.
Mario Lopez here getting the scoop on a new Disney
Plus doc Pets. And I gotta imagine there was some
wild pets. Did you have some pretty wild pets in
the dock or some of those Well.

Speaker 7 (06:06):
I mean I tried.

Speaker 8 (06:07):
I tried to be careful because it's there's a there's
sort of a fine line between you know, you don't
like you shouldn't have a wild pet, you know, like
they're like a pet is domesticated, whereas a wild animal
is a wild animal. Now in the rescue space, you
know that if if there's stay like there's uh Rodney Stops,

(06:30):
one of the characters or one of the guys who
we profiled in this he he rehabilitates birds of prey
and uh, and so it's not uh the relationship is
almost like that of a pet and a human. But
the goal is to release the bird back into the wild.

(06:52):
So yeah, so there's so we do go kind of
in that direction. There's pigs, there's goats, there's sheep, there's
you know, obviously the classic cats and dogs.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
All of that nice.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
All right, Well, Pets is streaming right now in Disney,
plus a few more songs, and we're going to come
back with Bryce Dallas Howard talking about this new Disney
plus dog Pets with actress and director Bryce Dallas Howard.
You're all with Mario Lopez and Bryce. You grew up
with a bunch of different pets, didn't you.

Speaker 8 (07:22):
Yeah, I had kind of My household was the household
where when folks in the neighborhood were like, oh, I
don't know, we might need to rehome an animals, like
bring them to the Howards like that was sort of
that was sort of the vibe.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Would you have which.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
Lucky, Oh my gosh, well I had I just get ready. Okay,
I'm just gonna put this in here for a second.

Speaker 7 (07:48):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (07:48):
So there were snakes and goats and sheep and chicken
and now packun dogs and cats and you know and
and you know, just lot lots and lot guinea hens.

Speaker 7 (08:04):
Dang, that is you already pig?

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, that's great. Yeah, you have a
little farm out there. I like it.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Oh yeah, yeah, I like the way the Howard droll there.
All right, Bryce, hang on because we got to get
back to the music. We're gonna have more with Rice
coming out all Mario Lopez, actress, director Bryce Dallas Howard
hanging out on Zoom with us this hour.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
We've been talking about our new doc Pets.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
But you're also going to be in a new movie
called deep Cover, right with you and Orlando Bloom.

Speaker 7 (08:32):
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (08:33):
It's going to be coming out in June. Uh so
that'll be that'll be really fun. That was It's like,
it's about a bunch of improv comedians basically getting sucked
into kind of an underground crime ring, and because they're
improv comedians, they say yes and.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
That sounds hilarious. That sounds hilarious. Oh gosh, I want
to see that deep cover.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
That's great, and you're gonna be doing some more directing
a movie called All of Her.

Speaker 8 (09:04):
What is that about?

Speaker 7 (09:06):
Oh, that's cool.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
That's in.

Speaker 8 (09:09):
Gosh, I mean what, I don't know what I can
reveal or not. We actually we just got the script
in for it. It was fantastic. It's written by a
writer named Sarah Striker and it's it's basically all I
can say is that one actress plays multiple parts. Okay,
and it's a it's a romantic comedy.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Fair enough, Okay.

Speaker 8 (09:31):
Whoever that actress is, she's gonna be busy.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
All right, Well, Bryce hank Ty, one more thing I
want to ask quick break, we're gonna.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Come back and wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
You're the full interview now on with Mario Doug More
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
On the way, wrapping things up with Bryce Dallas Howard.
You're on with Mario Lopez and Bryce. Last thing I
wanted to mention, I love that you're following in your
dad's footsteps, by the way with the acting and the directing,
and absolutely love him. Had the pleasure of, uh, he's
actually directed me in some spots and interviewing throughout the years.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
And he's he's just an awesome guy. Obviously he's a
huge fan growing up.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
And he recently said he'd return to acting if you
cast and directed him in a film.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Any chance you might take him up on that?

Speaker 7 (10:09):
Oh my gosh, I should be so lucky.

Speaker 8 (10:12):
I uh, it's it's really cool because he's always like
acting acting was was his first love and his way
his way into the storytelling business. But pretty young, it
was obvious that, you know, he wanted to be a
director and that he was working toward that goal and

(10:32):
all of that. And over the years I've sort of
mentioned to him, I'm like, god, it would be so great.
You know, how do you think you'd be as an actor?
Like what do you think you'd be? And he and
he's like, you know, I've really I would like to
think that I've gotten to work with all these incredible
actors that maybe maybe I've continued learning in some way,
shape or form. Like he's so sweet, He's like, you know,

(10:55):
like funny, you can only direct Tom Hanks so many
times and not learn a few things because he's just
so great. So so he's he's always sort of said
that to me like I would love to be in
something you act and or that's something that you direct.
But actually he just shot this show the studio. Yeah,
And I was so nervous that I was so nervous

(11:17):
about it that I went with him in person because
I like, I know, like Seth Rogan and stuff.

Speaker 7 (11:22):
We did a movie called fifty to fifty together. Yeah, yeah, and.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
So I was like, Okay, I'm going to go and
like you know, I'm going to be the sort of
the mamager and go and like stay with the talent today.

Speaker 9 (11:36):
And he was so good.

Speaker 7 (11:38):
It was intimidating, like.

Speaker 8 (11:41):
He had he nailed everything, like there was no pickup
and like the rehearsal was like why weren't we shooting this?
He was so strong, and so I was just I
was really, really, really really proud of him.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Of course he was. He's a legend. That's awesome. I
can't wait to check I can't wait to check that out.
That is awesome.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Well, I really appreciate your time today and listen to everyone.

meet at least one of your pups.

Speaker 2 (12:19):

Speaker 3 (12:21):
I'll show you picture its worst case.

Speaker 8 (12:23):
Yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure I will be
harassing you.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Okay, take care.

ben afflex X.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I believe she too is fifty fifty one fifty three.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Oh okay, And so when I have a photo with
who I interviewed when he starred in the Bride of
Chucky Red Man like red Man, Red Man's awesome Redman.

Speaker 9 (14:20):
And mat was Sean Chucky because he has red hair.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
No, he was in it. I don't know. He was
in it. When he started alongside Jennifer Tilly for some reason.
In that movie.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
He was part of the Wu Tang clan.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
And he had a great album called Blackout with method Man,
which is one of my favorite.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Speaking of Jennifer Tilly, she is hysterical on the Housewives
of Beverly Hills.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
She's on the show she on the Are you kidding?

Speaker 6 (14:37):
Yeah, she's she's a friend, Oh's, but she's a scene stealer.

Speaker 9 (14:41):
She's hysterical.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
I interviewed her for that movie too, and she was
hilarious the whole time.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
We should have her on red Man's got to be
fifty two.

Speaker 9 (14:49):
I think my man is turning fifty six.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Redman, who Jennifer Tilly called Redman is fifty five?

Speaker 3 (14:57):

A little later as well. In the meantime, more music.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
As a matter of fact, if you got a request,
slide him into our mentions over on ig at on
Mario Lopez.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Time to get some fresh life hacks from my wife
in Cordo's corner, which you got for us today?

Speaker 9 (15:53):
Honey, Oh well, Easter is this weekend. I can't believe it,
and it's very late this year.

Speaker 6 (15:58):
But if you have kids, you're probably going to be
dying and decorating some eggs. So we're making homemade dye,
all right. Instead of buying the overpriced easter dyes at
the store, all you need is one cup of hot water,
one teaspoon of vinegar, and ten to twenty drops of
food coloring. Also, instead of using a spoon to dip
the eggs in the die, put your eggs inside of

(16:19):
a large whisk and you'll have more control and you
can and you can just like whisk it from one.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Are we doing here? Let's do it Saturday.

Speaker 7 (16:31):
We are doing it.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Yeah, we are doing it Saturday. She's letting you know.

Speaker 9 (16:35):
No, no, Yeah, Saturday at two o'clock.

Speaker 10 (16:38):
Perfect or Mario Lopez coming up a Mario Corney Lopez
putting the spotline on my wife, who has got a
random thought for us?

Speaker 7 (16:48):
What do you got?

Speaker 1 (16:49):
So?

Speaker 6 (16:50):
I was recently going through our WhatsApp okay, and there
was a deleted message from you, and I want to
know who you were meant to send that to you,
because why would you delete the message to me?

Speaker 3 (17:06):
I deleted all the messages because I just want to
save the pictures. That's why.

Speaker 9 (17:10):
Hey, so it was it meant for us? See I
assumed it was meant for another person.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
See that, because your mind is always on the defense.

Speaker 9 (17:17):
Because I'm like, what is so bad that he has
to delete it?

Speaker 1 (17:20):
No?

Speaker 9 (17:21):
I just like if I mess up a text or something.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
On a streamline, kid, you're all Maria Lopez. Music rolls
on as we take a look at the buzz because
a friend's actress says Matthew Perry sent her a sign
after his passing. Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice in nineteen
episodes of the sitcom, also lost her brother to addiction
and says after Matthew passed away, she was alone in
a pool and she received a sign via two hawks

(17:47):
after asking her brother to look out for Matthew ooh
Almoro dot com.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
To find out what went down.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Al Maria Lopez taking another look at the Hollywood bus
because the game show world lost a legend.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
With Mario Hollywood. Buzz I was just.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Talking about him the other day to Wink Martindale, one
of the best names ever, one of TV's the most
beloved game show hosts whose name became virtually synonymous with
the profession, passed away this past Tuesday at his home
in Rancho Mirage, California. He was ninety one years young.
It's a nice long life. No cause of death was given,
but a statement from a family spokesman said Wink passed

(18:26):
surrounded by family and his beloved wife of forty nine years,
Sandra Martindale. He started out in radio at the age
of seventeen and ultimately became known for hosting the classic
game shows Tic Tac Doe which I loved, High Rollers
and Gambit, which.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
One's Gambit I don't know that one.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
I'm not familiar with that one as well. It was
all part of his seventy four year career. Wow In
radio and television.

Speaker 10 (18:50):
Wow, Maura, Mario Lopez coming up Old Mario Lopez could
show the weekend too, kicking off on Friday.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Lady Gaga, of course taking the stage again on Friday night,
curious to see if she pulls the same post show
move as.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Week in one, crushing a burger at a local in
and out to chow down with a friend. Clip shared
on ig shows Gaga sitting in a head to toe
black outfit with matching sunglasses to shield her eyes, waiting
for her food with a friend. It is bright in there,
and based on that high energy performance, that burger was
well deserved. Hit up Onmaro dot com to relive all
the moments from Weekend one and to find out.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
How to stream Weekend too.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
This weekend, You're on Mario Lopez More music. Now they're
gonna get to one last thing. Of course, Easter on
Sunday always a big day for chocolate. But do you
have any idea how much chocolate will be devoured on Easter?
I'm gonna tell you next.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
All right, Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Here, almost time to head home, but not before we
squeeze in one last thing. Hope you're ready for a
serious sugar rush because Americans are expected to consume more
than seventy three million pounds of chocolate this Easter.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Wow, I feel like that's more than Halloween.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
That's a lot.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
That's like a what is that a third of a
pound per America?

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
We're talking hundreds of millions of chocolate bunnies, filling over
one hundred and forty six million baskets and racket up
more than two billion in sales.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Easter's big business.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Milk chocolate hands down the crowd favorite, but people also
really love their peanut butter.
