Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go, Mario Lopez back behind the MinC and
ready to hang with you for the next few hours.
Going to keep all your favorite music coming your way.
So we got our request. Please get into our mentions
early at on with Mario on X and Facebook. And
speaking of our mentions, we're gonna dig into them to
see what's on your mind. Talk a little Coachella, share,
another helpful life act, and just a few songs away
from breaking down. Katy Perry's out of this world trip literally,

(00:26):
so turn it up. You're on with Mario Lopez. Oh,
Mario Lopez digging into the bus, because Katy Perry just
took an out of this world trip.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
On with Mario Hollywood buzz.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
So yesterday, I'm sure you saw it was all over
the news. Katy Perry, along with five other ladies including
Lauren Sanchez and Gail King, took part in a brief
but thrilling suborbital spaceflight on Blue Origins New Shepherd rocket.
The flight lasted around eleven minutes and took them past
the Carman line, which allowed him to experience heightlessness. Flight

(01:01):
was the first all female space flight since nineteen sixty three.
It's been a minute. Family and friends of the crew,
including Oprah the Kardashian family, attended the launch to witness
the historic moment.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
If you hear the audio from the ladies in there,
they were quite excited and I'm sure the most thrilling
eleven minutes of their life. It was met with a
little controversy like why are these ladies going up there?
What is this accomplishing? And it's pretty much a rich
flex and I think Olivia Mann was very vocal about it. Yeah,
but you know, anytime you get an opportunity to do

(01:37):
something no one's ever done before and be in space,
I mean, you'd be foolished not to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Or Mario Lopez coming up you.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Are Mario Lopez. Music rolls on, but quickly want to
mention some of the new things hitting TV and streaming.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
TLC has the season seven premiere of one Thousand Pounds Sisters,
Tipping the scales over a thousand pounds combined. The Slaton
sisters try to lose enough weight to qualify and undergo
life changing search and pursue their dreams.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
These ladies are pretty incredible and what they've gone through.
The doctor on there is hilarious.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
I don't know if he'sped on purpose. He just is
sort of straight into the truth. I mean, sometimes tough
love is needed. Brabo has the season two premiere of
the Valley. Season two will feature new cast members, guest
appearances from vander Pump Rules stars, and focus on the
cast navigating new dynamics. Okay, and Paramount Plus begins streaming
the new limited doc series The Carters Hurts to Love You.

(02:29):
A family ravaged by fame faces struggles with mental illness, addiction,
and untimely death. This is about Nick Carter and Aaron
Carter and also his sister who died.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Oh that's heavy.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Keeping the music and fun coming your way, but quickly,
you want to remind you that today is tax day?
Or is it? In twelve states they pushed it back
to May first due to natural disasters like Hurricane Helene.
If you're not sure, check on the IRS website. And
if you want to file for an extension, keep in
mind there are it's five percent of the tacks due
for each month the return is late and that could

(03:05):
at Yeah, this is one of those things that isn't fun,
but you got to stay on top of it or
also to catch up with you.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
So good luck.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
All right, let's get back to the music. Almar A Lopez.
Courtney's out today, so Fraser's taking over Courtney's corner temporarily.
What are we talking about today?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Preach? Well, last time I did this, it was one
of the best hacks we've ever had. This will not
live up to that. Just so you know, if you're
trying to dial in that beach body before summer. A
lot of times we think things are healthy that are not.
Here are some of those things. Okay, yogurt with fruit
on the bottom. Most actually have the same amount of
sugar as a Reese's cup.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, one would think that would be a healthy choice.
I've made that mistake, but yeah, it's not exactly health.
In your mind, you feel like you're doing the right thing.
And the granola cups with the fruit on the bottom,
same thing.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
The life hack is to eat a Reese's cup instead.
Here you go. Veggie burgers. Most are actually highly processed
food with lots and lots of salt.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Wow, that's usually a person who is not carnivorous, a vegetarian.
We'll take advantage of that, and I guess it's still
better than eat meat. If you're a vegetarian.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Juicing, you're getting lots and lots of sugar without any
of the fibers, So it's better to.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Actually eat the fruits correct, correct, and that'll flush it
right out.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
And organic foods it just means it was made without pesticides.
Organic cookies aren't any healthier for you than regular cookies.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
There you go. So it's all a shakedown.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
It's all basically just an advertising.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Campaign or Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (04:31):

me know if there's a song new one here, add
old Mario Lopez on ig Mario Lopez quickly congratulating a
Minecraft movie, now the highest grossing US film of the

(05:20):
year so far based on a video game, made two
hundred million in the first week and another eighty million
this past week, and that's huge by today's standards. Problem is,
fans are trashing theaters as they watch. They're screaming and
throwing popcorn. In quite a few instances, the police were
even called in what.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
There was one in Utah where a dude brought a
live chicken and when Jack Black's character yells something about
a chicken, he actually held up the chicken and then
they both got kicked out.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
No, no, no, no, you have to learn how to behave Yes,
my kids would not be allowed to go to the
theater any longer if this happened. Parents cracked away. A
few more songs gonna get today's celebt birthday shout out
to Mario Lopez here. In the meantime, let's quickly go
over to Fraser, Who's gonna tell us what obscure holiday
we are celebrating today.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I don't know if we celebrate it really, but Natural
Laundry Day.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Well we hope everyone, I mean I.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Hope you do. Is this something you celebrated, something you
really do.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
There's some guys that I know you need to really
lean into this day because they smell like they don't
wash her close all.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Oh, there was that guy at the jiu jitsu place too.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
He shall remain nameless. That's the worst thing you can
do is not wash your jiu jitsu gee when you're
rolling around in an intimate setting with someone. So for you,
my friend, Happy National Laundry Day. Mario Lopez here, I
got some April fifteenth birthdays to celebrate. As always, Raiser's
going to shout him out. I'm gonna try to guess
the ages.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Mazie Williams from a Game of Thrones.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, she killed the Whitewalker.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
She spoiler alert.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Is quite young. I think she's twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Close Emma Watson from Harry Potter. It's like Hermia.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
She's all growing up now. She's got to be thirty three,
thirty five.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Wow, okay, Seth Rogen knocked up. He's got a new
movie on Apple TV right now, Chris Studio.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
I believe it's a series.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Actually, is it a series? Okay? I keep seeing the
promo for it.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yeah, his little left I'm gonna say he's forty eight,
forty three? Oh, forty three?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
How is Seth Rogton younger than me? Wow? What?

Speaker 2 (07:25):
He looks lowder?

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Right?

Speaker 3 (07:26):
That's insane? Yeah, okay, he's had a rough few years
in guess huh. Chris Stapleton one of the best renditions
of the national anthem I've ever heard.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Very talented Chris Stapleton. He's got to be fifty, right,
forty seven?

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Okay, all right, more Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Al Mario Lopez courteys out today. Buterfrader is gonna tell
me his random thought. What you got?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
You know you mentioned it's natural laundry day, and I
realize there are two things that are tasks that are
never ever possible to complete, and that's laundry and dishes.
They're never finished.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Well, you can finish them, you just you don't have
a long lull.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
I mean you might have what a few hours in.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Between, depending on how many people live in the house.
But I would rather do dishes than laundry. I think
that's the movie having given choice because you forget sometimes
and you've leave it the closing.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
It's also so much stuff like you got to go
put it away. It's in different places.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
It's a whole thing. Yes, do them both though. All right,
about to dig into our mentions. See what's on your mind.
You're all with Mario Lopez, Love hearing from your questions comments,

(08:40):
whatever you got at all of Mario on Facebook and
acts at on with Mario Lopez on ig love hearing
from him. But first more music. You're Mario Lopez Love
hearing from your questions comments, whatever you got? Would you
find phrase?

Speaker 3 (08:53):
This is from Emily rancoorps. Okay, are you telling me
that for Christmas, I'm getting Mario Lopez as a firefighter. OMG,
set me on fire, Emily, I got you.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
I will come to rescue you. Yes, I'm excited about
this film. I just got done shooting it in Buffalo,
New York, where they were really cool and really embraced us.
Look cold for me though, I'm not built for that weather.
Middle of April snowing and in the twenty still but okay, Buffalo,
you do you. But with that said, I was an attorney,
you got passed over for a promotion, kind of going over.

(09:28):
You could say, I'm maybe hitting a midlife crisis kind
of moment. But I tried to find myself. I joined
my brother, was a captain of the fire department as
a cadet, and just sort of rediscover myself maybe find
love all around Christmas. So you have to check it
out more.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Ah, Mario Lopez, And do you fly a lot? Well,
if you do, and you've ever lost a bag? Unclaimed
Baggage's latest Found report has just come out, giving us
a peak of things found inside America's unclaimed luggage over
the last year. What's on the list?

Speaker 3 (09:58):
All right, here's some of the weirdest items. There was
a freeze dried chicken foot in a bag.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Ooh, that had to be a good luck charm of
some sort or they were practicing sanuria.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, one of the two. Definitely one of those two.
A toilet seat and a glass eye in the same bag.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Wow, I don't understand the toilet set. I kind of
get a glass eye if you don't have an eye any.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
But wouldn't you wouldn't you have that in?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Well, you can't. Maybe you forgot, you didn't forget.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Maybe it's an extra. Maybe it's a spare it's a
spare glass set, that's true.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Maybe stand the toilet seed situation.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
That's maybe these really love that toilet sea. Yeah, I
don't know. Plenty of valuable things found as well, like
thirty nine thousand dollars ooh, and an eighteen carrot gold
Rolex watch.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
The most common items underwear, books, and iPhones.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Here's a thing when traveling too, When you have to
put your stuff in the conveyor belt to get scanned,
they ask you to take off your watch. Oftentimes you
forget to pick it up. That's why those gold rules
watches are there. Any kind of watches. You gotta watch it,
put it inside another bag so you don't forget. Because
even in that little trade deal, yep, you'll forget.

Speaker 1 (11:05):

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Katy Perry has revealed the song she chose to sing
during her eleven minute trip to space Hope it was
a good long dam Adam Levine is opening up about
the unexpected reaction Paul McCartney had to Maroon five covering
classic Beatles songs for a decade ago.

ALL and Mario on x ALL. Mario Lopez about to
head home, but not before we get to one last thing.
A sequel to The Goonies is officially in the works.

(13:31):
We asked Corey Pullman about it when we stopped by recently,
but he couldn't say much. Here's what they recently said
when they dropped by the Today Show. They're doing it.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
Whether we're doing it or not as another story, that's it.
But I can tell you for sure, Spielberg and Chris
Columbus have a recipe and they're planning on something. We
wish them well and if they come to us, we'll
consider it.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
At that time, after it came out, Steven Spielberg sent
me a poster saying, I'm still a goony, how about you.
He's wanted to make the sequel, and he's the sole
reason it hasn't been made now because it hasn't been right.
The fact that he is endorsing this next thing is
why we know what's gonna happen, and it's why it
has every chance to be spectacular.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Oh that's awesome. I'm excited, little kidding Me's is excited.
My boys like it, so we'd have to watch that
one together. Hopefully it comes to fruition.
