in theaters this weekend? Honey?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Sinners Michael B. Jordan and Hailey Steinfeld.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah, I've been hearing good things about this one.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Okay, the Ballad of Wallace Island, Carrie Mulligan and Tim Key.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Oh, anything that has the ballad of I'm kind of
into Yeah, and.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Just don't start singing. Sneaks Animated. This is with Anthony Mackie,
Lawrence Fishburne, and Martin Lawrence.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
I saw the trailer for this. It looks cute. They
all play shoes.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
I was gonna pass this sneaker.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yes, they all play different. That's right, so much anymore.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
You got out of that phase.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
You getting out of that face. We're getting older, I
get it, you know. Al Mario Lopez going to play
a few more songs and then fire up zoom so
(09:58):
we can chat with actress Sam Ye Bigger. Sam is
part of The Handmaid's Tale over on Hulu's sixth and
final season. Just kicked off back to talk about that
and more with Sam NX. It's off. You're a Mario Lopez.
Don't to be right now? One of the stars of
the Emmy winning show The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu. Actress
Sam Yeah. How you doing, Sam good Man?
Speaker 5 (10:18):
Good to do with your Thanks.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Well, thanks for taking the time. And we are in
the sixth and final season of the show, which just
premiered on Hulu. Man, I remember the first season, y'all
took nice little long hiatuses in between these these.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
A slow show.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
In fact, coming from a different show, I hopped on
this and I was kind of startled at how slow
the whole process is.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
You know, we shoot like four four pages a.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
Day, and I was used to just being like, hey,
let's bang these scenes out.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Yeah, but I think there's a reason for it.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
You know, people like you know that there's a lot
of thought put into what it looks like, to how
even the images, you know, helped to show how confined
and restricted a lot of the characters are. So there
is a method to the incredibly slow, methodical madness.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
We got to wait for quality. I imagine, all right,
Sam hank Tag, We're going to take a quick break
and come back with some more Sam Yeger.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
More fun on the Way On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Al Maria Lopez getting the scoop on the sixth and
final season of The Handmaid's Tail from actor Sam Jeger. So, Sam,
where's his new season pick up and what's your character
up to?
Speaker 6 (11:24):
You know?
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Handmaid's Tale is about Gilead taking over most of North America.
And at this point there's only two states in the
United States left, Hawaii and Alaska, and even the Canadians
at the start of this season they don't want Americans
in their country anymore and they're pushing them out. And
you know, we get to see kind of all these
(11:45):
characters who have been losing the battle just kind of
fight back in whatever way they can, and desperate times
call for desperate measures, and it's a It's pretty cool
because you know, a lot of shows like this, they
get to the end of the series, and there are
shows that are famous. I'm not going to mention what
they are, but there are a couple of shows famous
(12:06):
for not sticking the landing. Yeah, you know, we're leaving
audiences hanging lost, and I'm glad to see, yes, maybe possible.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Game of Thrones.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
Maybe Game of Thrones, you know, and we certainly didn't
want that.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
So we wanted to make sure we ended this series
on a high and thankfully, the scripts were amazing and
I have a feeling the end is going to be
really satisfying for people watching.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Nice all right, Well, new episodes of The Handmaid's Tale
are streaming now on Hulu, sam Hag type few more songs,
and we're gonna have more with Sam Dieger getting back
to actress Sam Jeger from The Handmaid's Tale? What up
Mare Lopez here? Sam? Obviously with me in the final season.
It's always tough to say goodbye after a long run
(12:50):
like this. What was the final day on Satellite.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Cold So Cold? I mean, we've shot this show in
Toronto in the dead of winter for seasons, and so
we wrapped it two in the morning in you know,
like perfect Candmaide's tale, Like we're on some like dirt
road in the middle of a forest with these crew
that are freezing their butts off, and so the goodbye
(13:15):
was brief and yeah, but I just said, you know,
I love you guys. I love working with you, and
I hope I get to do it again, because it's
rare to work on the show that you feel proud of,
and then you get to work with people who were
all in line. They're trying to tell the best story
and get their egos out of the way.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
I know exactly what you mean, Sam, regarding Cold and
saying goodbye. I was just in Buffalo for about a month,
just not too far from trying to soak. Yeah, you're
exactly right those exterior shots man, and i's just the
noses running. I can't even I'm not bit just it
was a hot mess or cold painful, It's exactly what
it is.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
It is painful.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
That cold is next level, all right, man, Hang on,
little more music then we're gonna come back with some
more SAand you're all more. That was got actors Sam
Dieger from The Handmaid still on Zoom with us this hour.
And he also just had a movie come out, Wolfman,
a reboot of the iconic universal film back in the day.
For people who don't know the story, I've always loved
(14:13):
Wolfman stories. Here, what's the premise of this film.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
The premise of this film was this, you know, this
story of a guy who comes back to the farm.
He grew up on. His father was you know, ex
military and really you know, hard on him and trying
to teach him to survive on his own because he
knew that there was something out in the woods there
that was, you know, that could kill you easily. And
(14:39):
so his son returns to the land to try and
you know, see what it's like and immediately realizes that
he's that whatever was out there is still out there,
and we got to shoot it in New Zealand, which
was epic. It was stunning, and you know it.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Was it was a beautiful shoot to do.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
I mean, I don't know if you've ever been in
New Zealand, but I highly recommend no.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
I heard it's incredible. Oh that's nice during during the
summertime or winter.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
Time or it was a spring so it was there.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Oh, nice fall, early fall. Yeah, it looks amazing. Yeah,
a lot of the Lord of the Rings locations. Yeah, yeah, gorgeous. Yeah,
it was epic, very cool. All right, Sam, one more
thing I want to ask, so hang tight, quick break.
We're going to come back and wrap it up with
Sam Dieger.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
You're the full interview now on with Mario dot Com.
More Mario Lopez on.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
The way wrapping up with actress Sam Dieger, who's been
hanging out with us all our Mario Lopez here and uh,
you also got three kids, right.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
I got three boys and my stepdaughter.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Oh wow, it's packed. Yeah good. Oh that must be uh,
that must be uh that house must be a mess,
absolutely mess.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
This is the only televisable portion of the whole time.
I found this tiny little corner I could shove myself
into I got three myself. The rest of it is
leg goes baseball and baseball bats all over the house.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Oh they're little guys. Then they're young.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Well they're eight, ten, and fifteen, okay, yeah fine. And
my step yeah so, and my stepdaughter is thirty. So
thankfully she can get dressed in the morning and get
herself to work on her own when she doesn't need
me for that.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Yeah, that's cool, man, that's cool. Well, listen, congrats on everything,
and everyone be sure to stream the sixth and final
season of The Handmaid's Tale. New episodes are coming out
every week through May. Sam, thanks for checking in, Mario Man,
great to see you, you too so much. Take care.
I in the home stretch, final hour for us to
(16:41):
Mario and Courtney Lopez here steal so much to get
to gonna honor our comment of the week in about
thirty five minutes or so.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
Plus the Fake Debate is just a few songs away
as well, and maybe we'll try to squeeze in some
celeb birthdays and a couple requests from you. So if
you got a song you want to hear, just slide
into our DMS over on Instagram at On with Mario Lopez,
On with.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Marion Courtney Lopez not for our weekly fake debate where
the topics are made up on the spot, but the
passion is oh, very real. All right, Fraser, who's going
to be pro? Who's going to be con?
Speaker 4 (17:11):
You are going to be conn. Courtney is going to
be pro. You have fifteen seconds to make your case,
ten second rebuttal afterwards. Your topic today is celebs going
to space for ten minutes pro? Yes?
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
I think the positive side of celebs going to space
for ten minutes is that it gives us a lifetime
of jokes and memes and things that will last forever.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Thanks to Lopez, That very well may be true, but
they are absolutely out of touch with reality. They're calling
themselves astronauts, which is insulting to women who are in
the field. They went for a ride, and the fact
that they are trying to make this landmark historic event
is embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
This is Lopez.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Yes, you're right, they are out of touch with reality
because they are in space.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Thank you, mister Lopez. Wow full ten.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
I agree with you that the memes are pretty funny
and priceless, but I think this backfired and did far
more damage. What should have happened is they should have
supported ladies that were studying in this field and had
them go out on an actual mission. They didn't push
one button more.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
You're all Mario Courtney Lopez quickly squeezing in a few
celeb birthday shout outs. Fraser's got a list. We're going
to try to guess the ages.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
America Ferrara, she was in Barbie, she was ugly, Betty.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
I think America is forty three.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
I think Mercer is.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Forty two, forty one, forty one. Courtney Kardashian, sister of
Koe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
With a K.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Every time, every time I get something, what's your name?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Courtney with the kay?
Speaker 3 (18:57):
No original the right way.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
If it were with a K, wouldn't you just say
it like it's Courtney with a K.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
But it's not.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
It's with a sea. She is on forty three, she's
forty six.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Forty six is correct?
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Well, so Joan Hart from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Holiday
and Handcuffs. We had her on like a week and
a half ago or something.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
I think MJ's coming in in forty eight, She's forty five,
forty nine and from Honey, I Shrunk the kids.
Speaker 4 (19:23):

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Rick moranis is sixty three, sixty eight, seventy two.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Whoaoa all right? Moranas music rolls on. Mario Lopez here

guests gonna flat to Vegas to see Coldplay on their
Music of the Spheres World tour, where we'll hook you
up with tickets to the show, access to the pre
show lounge, special merch, and best of all, to take
(19:54):
a photo of the band before the show.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Ooh all thanks to Atlantic Records. You want to win,
just open the free iHeartRadio app, tap the contest tab
and entered to win.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Good luck, Okay, Time to honor our comment of the
week Mario Courtney Lopez here, who gets the honor this week?
Speaker 3 (20:09):
Honey, you know Wendy's good old Wendy's love their French fries.
They get it for their savage response to the news
that Katy Perry had returned back from space. Wendy's official
account posting, can we send her back.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Wendy's social team coming in ha.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Yeah. Katy Perry, who I really like and is a sweetheart,
has had a tough year professionally. Yeah, but she's gonna
be okay.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
I mean, now people are questioning whether this whole thing
was even real because the door apparently opened before Bezos
used the tool to unlock it or something, and now
there's like conspiracy theories and it's like, this whole thing
was a bad.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Idea, But why are you going to do that for
only eight minutes?
Speaker 4 (20:56):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
I want to be the tweet of the week. The
tweet us on with Mario and hang on because Mario

Upcumbing tour, the band's Hot Sauce, and more.

night and happy Easter Week.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Wow with Mario Lopez
