Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, we're back again. We got to set the scene. Okay,
Tom Brady is a couple of seconds away. You have
to understand he's in a family appointment with one of
his kids, and my son Chris is now on the
phone making contact with Tom Brady. Justin we've got Tom Brady.
What allow me to reinduce myself? My name is hold.
They stood a outpe I used to mold snow places.

(00:21):
Ye know, I can't believe it back. Well, good morning tom.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Brady, good morning. I love that song that gets he's
heard up.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Well, that was a special moment when you were honored
out at Jillette Stadium. You came out onto the field
and that song played. People went nuts.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, that was such a special day for my family
and just to I think the culmination of a lot
of great years, so many fun times, and so many
great people that have been a part of my life.
So that was that one won't ever be recreated. RKK
went over the top one, that one that was a
really special night.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
So is that always going to be your walk in song?
Like you're on fan next week, that's going to be
the song.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
That's a pretty you know, it's been a lot of
years going out to it, so it just gets me
in the frame of mind. We're all trying to get
that in that mode and get our game face on,
and that song did it for me for a long time.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Now, the phrase let's go, Did you ever try to
nail that down and make it your own legally?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I know, you know, I think about it and then
I hear it all the time. And the best part
about that it can mean so many different things depending
on the tone and how you say it. And there
was a lot of those where I looked at jewel
ass like let's go, and you could use it about
I don't know, five seven different ways, and it's it's

(01:43):
a very versatile combination of words. So I use it
a lot of times to get fired up, and that
fired a lot of other people up. But I see
a lot of people use it now, so well, that's
a pretty good one.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It's so cool and it must feel so good for you, Tom,
because you see videos of high school and middle school
football teams and even you kids in high school and
college doing the let's go thing that you created.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, a lot of years of it, and it's just
a yeah, man, there's a lot of things that I
looked up to, and a lot of people I looked
up to in my career. So I don't know. It's
always we'll give a little bit back. Hopefully a lot
of the young kids could drop the middle word in
that little series of words.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, we can suggest it. So I got to set
the scene. Okay, Tom, I've got my son, Chris, your
partner with cord Vault by Tom Brady. I'm here, Billy,
I've got Lisa here, Justin is here, a Winn he's here,
Producer Riley is here. And if you don't mind, Tom,
we have a fatthead of you sitting in the main
chair so that we can actually see you while we're

(02:45):
talking to you.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Oh that makes me feel better. Well then I kind
of been there, not even virtually. I'm actually a standy
is standing in for me.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I gotta tell you, Tom, not your best picture. No,
you have pink eye in a picture.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Chris, get on it.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I uh, Tom, I got to say something, proud dad
to proud dad, I need to thank you so much
for believing in my son, Chris uh in card fault,
thank you, thank you, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Yeah, I can't you know, there's I thinks for me
to be involved with him and the whole crew at
card Vault, we just it's always about the right teammates
and it's about everybody playing their job. And I think
when you're involved with the right people and the right
teammates and people have humility and a work ethic, you

(03:43):
know there's there's no limit to what can be accomplished.
And you know, we're doing this with a great collectible
business and it's a great hobby and I've been a
collector for a long time, but it's really about how
do we take our collective expertise and shared with the
masses to create a new generation of collectors like we

(04:07):
were when and like I was when I was a kid.
So I love partnering with your son. He's a wonderful man.
You've done a great job. And there's nothing like being
a dad to seeing your kids grow up and being
happy and fulfilled. And that's a great journey for all
of us as parents.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Tom. I remember when I was a kid, we collected
baseball cards. We kept them in shoe boxes and we
played a game on people's stoops. I think it was
called Leaners or something. Well, you would line the cards
up against the wall and throw other cards and knock
as many down as you could. I'm guessing you never
played that game, so.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
You guys didn't realize that if you damaged the corner
of the cards, the grading service was going to deduct
you a card. You're going to be workplace. See. By
the time I was collecting, everything went in a plastic sleeve,
not quite grated like it is now, but there's it
turned into it to a great hobby that I think
speaks to, you know, what a lot of people are

(05:03):
trying to do in their life and creating these nostalgic
memories through collecting and learning about people's biographies. And I
wrote about it this last week. So many of the
benefits of collecting, you know, shine through and what we're
doing these days.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, I read it. I read your blog and you
said I learned about fractions and percentages and averages and
probabilities through trading cards.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I was not. I don't tell my kids this. I
was not much of a great student. I told this
to my son this last weekend. We actually went to
Coachella for who happened to be out there in Palm Springs,
and we had a great time, and we're driving back
and I said, listen, like your dad wasn't the best
student in the world. As my daughter just walks in. Agree,

(05:50):
I had my precious little girl that just walked in.
She's home from school, not feeling great. Oh, she gets
to hang with her dad today.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Tom, did you think for a second that he did
not know you were at Coachella with your son Jack.
I think the world knows you were at Coachella.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I know we went there. We were with my parents
for Easter and it happened to be Coachella and we
were across the street and Travis Scott was there and
Dad said, Dad, we gotta go to this. And I said,
I said, Jack, he comes on at eleven forty five.
You know that's two forty five East Coast time. I'm
normally waking up it for you. I'm to start my day.
How am I going to stay awake? And it didn't

(06:29):
take much. A little two hour nap before the show
in a warm shower, and then we were good to go.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Well, you boy, Jack might be a big fan, but
we saw you dancing around to Travis Scott.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
I know I had a great I'm a huge fan
of his. And he's just he's very humble guy and
he's worked extremely hard. I think he's a very hard
working guy, very creative, and you know, I love people
that always start trying to do things differently. And he's
he certainly created his own brand and music, but also
in merchandising. You know, I look at what he's done

(07:02):
with his shoe collection. Man, he's he's he's a very
impressive guy at such a young age.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
I think Justin's wearing the shoes right now in his studio,
so he's holding him up in the air.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Wow. So how about your playlist, Like, what do you
drive around listening to during the course of the day.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
You know what, I'm pretty diversified in my music choice.
It's all depends on the mood I'm in. If I'm
working out, it's one thing, it's I If I'm hanging
out in the backyard, it's another. But right now, i'd
see if you saw my playlist, it'd be between Morgan Wallin,
Post Malone, Travis Scott Lazy. Yeah. Probably you two still

(07:46):
that those are probably my five top ones.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Diversification school, a lot of diversification there, Yeah, I know.
So you guys got off to an amazing start in
New Jersey a couple of weeks ago. I think there
were like ten thousand people. There are twenty thousand people.
And I got to ask you, Tom, your arm looked
very nfl Ready is there a chance?

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I know, Billy, I those days have come and gone. Unfortunately,
it's time for the next generation to do it. And
I had people. I had my Montana Steve, young people
I looked up to, and John Elway and Dan Marino,
and now it's time for these young kids to do it.
So I get to I get to view it from
a different seat.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Man, you were throwing sixty seventy yard bombs darts. It
was incredible. Before I let you go, Tom, do you
still have the boat?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
I have a I actually sold the boat, and I
have a smaller boat because it's a little easier to
maneuver around this this Miami Bay where I live now.
So it's the bigger, the seventy seven foot boat. That thing.
It just was a little hard to kind of get
where I needed to go. And interestingly, in Miami you
use it as a means of transportation here, not just recreational.

(09:05):
So I have a little smaller one now that I
share with my friend.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Well, I got to tell you Tom, now that you're
my new son. We do have a family putt put
here in Boston, you know, seventy feet or so, and
you're welcome on it anytime if you want to get
back out in the water here in Boston.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I appreciate And when we open our car vault by
Tom Brady down here in Miami, you better come down to.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
That opening count right, Do I get on the boat.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Absolutely, We'll have a little boat. We'll have a little
boat toast. It's a little sun set boat toast.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Oh, there you go, There you go. We don't have
to throw a trophy out into the water or something stupid.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Right that.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Those days are gone, Tom, I can't thank you enough.
I hope your daughter feels better. But again, thank you
so much for taking care of my son and keeping
an eye on him and partnering with him. And you're
a good guy, Tom.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I appreciate you. Guys. Good luck, and I hope everything
is great in Boss. I know the marathon was yesterday.
My boy Teddy Bruski had a team running for Stroke Awareness.
I always paid attention to that and all the runners
and that's such a special day in our city. And
I used to live there on Beacon Street, and that
day signified a lot of things, and it signified that
we were getting closer to football season, which is kind

(10:18):
of the start of the off season in the springtime
and spring workouts. So it's a good time of year
up there in the Northeast.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
See Tom, that's why you're so special. You remember things?

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Kids went Wait with Billy and Lisa's weird stories.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
All right, we have a weird story update from yesterday.
Remember those crazy twin sisters in Australia. Wow, they were
basically on the Jimmy Fallon Show last night.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Oh that was a weird story because we played the
clip of the two of them talking.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Sorry, Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Yeah, I got him on.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Sorry sot my computer.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I know.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
Yeah, Oh, I keep do it.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
I don't know, I'll do.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
It when we do it.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Justin we got him everything.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
They were on the Jimmy Kimmel Show Live and they
were doing the same thing. They were talking in Unison.
That weird thing that I have it Lisa Okay.

Speaker 7 (11:15):

Speaker 2 (11:20):

Speaker 4 (11:24):
How is your mother?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Mom is doing great?

Speaker 8 (11:29):
And you know what she said it she's doing fund
because she had seven kids.

Speaker 7 (11:35):
You've caused quite a commotion with this video.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
When did you become aware that you had delighted the globe?

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Well, when we heard from your show.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
This seems like a cop.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
It's so weird.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Next up Dancing with the Stars or billion Lisa in
the Morning.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
Oh, you want me to send an emails? That'd be great?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Oh god? How about this YouTube is twenty years old? Wow?
Oh called twenty years old? The very first video it
was called Me at the Zoo and I think we've
got a clip of that here.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
We are one of the elephants and.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
Cool things.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
What these guys suspend it.

Speaker 7 (12:20):
Is that they have really, really, really long.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Com and that's that's cool.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
And that's pretty much all this.

Speaker 7 (12:31):
Yeah, yeah, that was one of the co founders of YouTube. Yeah,
the very first one. You look at it now. It's
such a big part of our lives, of our culture.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
How about this YouTube's revenue last year alone fifty four
billion And it started with that video Me at the Zoo.
And by the way, they accounted for twelve percent of
all US TV viewing in the month of March alone.

Speaker 7 (12:56):
Looking at a list here of the most viewed videos
on YouTube, you want to look at the top ten
real quick? Yeah, absolutely, coming in at number ten with
five point four eight billion views.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Remember this song.

Speaker 9 (13:13):
I can't believe it's still on the lesson I got
to pull up on a billy doing it.

Speaker 6 (13:17):
It's so bad.

Speaker 7 (13:19):
Even number nine Uptown Funk, Oh wow, man can only
be Gangdom style by literally point one.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
Oh wow.

Speaker 7 (13:29):
Yeah, so they're like neck and neck. Yeah. Coming in
at number set. There's some kids one Kids one's on here.
Number seven Ed Sharon, Shape of You six point four

Khalifa see you again.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
That song it's spin Wow, six billion views. Coming in
at number two. Justin Bieber I.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Was going to say, didn't Deeper get his start on YouTube.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
He did, but but the song is Desposito.

Speaker 7 (14:00):
This first eight point six billion views and number one
by almost double orften he goes from eight billion to
fifteen point six five billion views, and he guesses it's
a kid's Songhay, I don't.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Know if that's cool or sad.

Speaker 9 (14:26):
Huh, well, I think parents use it as a tool
with their children.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
My daughter loves that song on all the time. She
loves it. Would you want to be number one? Bill?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Number three this week goes to well Justin Bieber and
everybody else for this spot shows.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Hey, this is Dan from Imagine Dragons and you're waking
up with Billy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss
one eight.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
Now the entertainment Update with a Billy Godstead.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Dan from Imagine Dragons. Lisa, didn't you tell me yesterday?
He's dating somebody.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
He's dating Minka Kelly and he's been dating her for
well over a year.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Wow, Minka Kelly, who's in the new show Ransom Canyon. Yes, okay,
and we move on. Celts have a game two with
the Magic in Boston. Tonight. Celts are up one game zip.
Jason Datum listed as doubtful. Here's the coach. He was
able to do some stuff.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
He's sore after the Game's got a little bit better today.
He's able to go through some some on.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Court work and you know, I'll go from there to day,
day to day. Meantime. Peyton Richard, as expected it named
the NBA sixth Man of the Year Richard on what
he thinks is working for him.

Speaker 10 (15:33):
Consistency game in game out limiting like just overall bad games.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I'm proud of that. Uh, you know.

Speaker 10 (15:43):
Just my efficiency shooting wise, I think has been really
good this year, and uh, this is every summer. Just
find different ways to keep getting better and better and
elevate my game and especially in the playoffs, and then
hopefully next year comes and I elevated again.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Wow, what a season he's having. Game two tonight in
the TD Garden. Red Sox beat the Mariners last night
eight three. And don't forget the NFL Draft is tomorrow.
And just announced we have a new Golden Bachelor, a
former NFL player, former Ram. He played for the Ram

(16:18):
Did mel Owens is now a practicing lawyer. Mel Owens
headed to The Golden Bachelor for season two.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
There's no air date yet, we don't know when this
is coming out, but we're kind of shocked that they
didn't go with the pool of bachelors that Joan had
on her season because we got to know them. They
were all really sweet, like Kelsey's father Mark. There was Pascal,
remember the Frenchman. Oh yeah, there was Jordan Heller who
was I loved him. I think he would be a
great pick. They went off campus on this and I'm

(16:52):
we're surprised.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
I'm not loving it.

Speaker 9 (16:54):
I think they had a lot of really great men,
like in their sixties that would have been great.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
Maybe they're all hooked up now they'll be there.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
I do know this is random.

Speaker 9 (17:02):
If your millennial GIRLI One Tree Hill was our show
chat Michael Murray's startin and Barbara Allenwoods played one of
the moms. She's slid into Mark's DMS after the Golden
Bachelor and now they're dating. So he's off the mark,
he's off the market, which is so funny by an actress.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Who was he He was a Golden Bachelor in the
last one.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Yeah, and his daughter is Kelsey was hooked up with
Joe Joey.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Okay Bachelor Season.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
And Ben Affleck is talking about fatherhood again, remember it
was recently. His son asked if he can get six
thousand dollars sneakers, and Ben very smartly said, no, get
a job. He says his kids basically are working minimum
wage job, the oldest to have jobs.

Speaker 7 (17:44):
In fact, one just got a job, and one like
the kind of classic you know, teenager working at a
shop job.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
I won't see what it is.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
And my older one who's in college is working and
trying to get an internship. With the summer and stuff.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
Well, my son Max is working at the snack bar
on the Cape this summer. We're making like cheeseburgers and
grilled cheese.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Which snack bar is it? So listeners can go in there?

Speaker 5 (18:06):
It's the CBA. It's it's really cute. It's little. I
mean it's literally like a little snack.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Bar Craigsville Beach. What do they have there?

Speaker 5 (18:13):
I've got French fries. He'll be doing the fry later
one day. Field Trip, yep, they show Field Trip chicken fingers. Oh,
I can't wait to see him like with a little
paper hat.

Speaker 7 (18:25):
Just tell them to be careful with the food, don't
eat too much of it. That's what happened to me
eating chicken fingers all day.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
And that's all good eating. So I'm thinking they've got
dogs burgers right, probably a two in a row.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
Yeah, they make milkshakes and stuff.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Oh yeah, field Trip.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
I love I love Max, but I'm not going from them.
But I can go to Selly's down the street.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
That's right, Sully's is coming into this building. Shut up tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (18:54):
I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Yeah, you know how I do the Food for Thoughts
show Busy every Sunday night. Uh, Sally's going to be
on the show that Sunday. We was taping the show tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
Icons.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yeah, absolutely didn't. They have a huge anniversary just recently.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
You would know you're the one that's.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Having They won a big award. Yes, yeah, we talked
about that.

Speaker 9 (19:14):
Okay, James Beard, Oh yeah, that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Oh yeah, are you kidding me? Oh? Sully, Sully?

Speaker 10 (19:21):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
First trailer for the I Know What you did last
Summer sequel dropped yesterday. We got a clip here. Someone
is coming after us. I need your help.

Speaker 11 (19:37):
I just have one question.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
What did you do last summer?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
I love that movie.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
It's a really good movie.

Speaker 6 (19:46):
Wasn't it a teen movie when it came out? Isn't
it a teen movie? I've never seen it.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
It's always been a teen movie.

Speaker 6 (19:50):
So as a grown man.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Have a problem with it.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
I'm going to watch it.

Speaker 9 (19:55):
Yeah sure, yeah, but you were a team when the
first one came out.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Okay, I'm also watching Outer Banks.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
He's got a problem.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's just a Handsmaid Tale.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
You really are meantime. Jennifer Love Hewitt is in the
sequel again, Freddy Prince Junior back for the sequel, and
Madeline Kline from Outer Banks is also in the sequel.
The original movie came out nineteen ninety seven.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
Yep, I remember it's a horror movie. Oh it is, yeah, big?
Oh you didn't see it?

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Well, we just go do your homework.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Marria. I was like, five, Okay, how can you sit
there and criticize me and you've never seen the classic
I know what you did last.

Speaker 6 (20:34):
Summer, especially four years old. What do you want from me?

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Hey? The movie Conclave arrived on Prime Video this week,
basically hours after the Pope's passing. And by the way,
the Pope's casket has been moved to Saint Peter's Basilica.
It'll be there for viewing until the funeral on Saturday.
And they're saying thousands of people have been lined up
for more than twenty four hours already.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
I'm not surprised he was beloved. It was such a
kind man.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah. And by the way, Conclave, it's a good watch,
it is. And the new season of You starts tomorrow night.
Actor Penn Badgeley, who is Joe Goldberg in the show
and on call, her daddy says he almost turned this
roll down.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
Is it true you also almost turned this roll down?

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Yeah, that's my thing.

Speaker 7 (21:17):
By the time I was twenty, I was like feeling
real disillusioned and dried up and tired of being in Hollywood,
of acting.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
I was tired of television.

Speaker 11 (21:25):
About time Gossiper came around.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
You never want to feel dried up. No, But Lisa,
we're going to talk about this. You're going to be
with the author of you again.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
Yes, So Caroline Kepnis, who's from the Cape, is going
to be at the Lisa's book Club in Hartford May seventh,
from six to eight And there's a link on my
bit in on my Instagram if you want to come.
But we are bringing a whole group from Boston to
this book club in Hartford, and we have teamed up
with our sister Station ninety five point seven Courtney and

(21:55):
Kiss in the Morning in Savannah, and we're going to
have such an amazing discussion. So if you want to
spend you know, the afternoon with us and early evening
in Hartford.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
You're taking sprinter vans. I mean You're fans of the
book Club are rabbits.

Speaker 5 (22:08):
They all want to go, and it's because this is
the last season of you, and Caroline's going to be
there and you can meet her, and she's got so
much good stuff that she's working on and she's going
to like tell us some like you know, some behind
the scenes.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Well, yeah, you gotta go.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Yeah, weren't you on the Hartford station or Hartford station
this morning?

Speaker 5 (22:26):
I was, yeah, talking about the book Club.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
Yeah, we have not heard it yet.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Still trying to figure out what time it aired.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Next step for the book Club Paris, France.

Speaker 7 (22:36):
Oh, it just keeps going with Emily in Paris, in Paris.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
You know what they say.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
You never want to feel dried up.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
You gotta keep moving.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Avril Levigne coming to Boston Calling this year, and she's
got a new song just out with the Billy Idol
called seventy seven. You think Billy Idol will show up
at Boston Calling.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
That would be cool, What a moment. Icon he's still touring,
you can totally do it.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Meantime, Chaboozie and Jelly Roll also have a new song.
It's coming out this Friday. It's called Amen Sounds exactly.
It's the same track in the studio.

Speaker 7 (23:12):
And yeah, you know it works for him.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
Yeah yeah, If something works, why not do it again?

Speaker 6 (23:17):
Exactly?

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Are they saying it could be the song of summer?

Speaker 4 (23:20):
They saying it could be a big song this summer.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Else, you know. Meantime, big night out tonight for producer Riley.
She discovered role Model. Yep, we played him on the show.
I think it was last week and role Model tonight
is at the MGM Music Hall in Boston. He's gotta
be good, right, I mean, he's touring with Gracie Abrams
and that's coming to the TD Garden.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
I mean it's soil tonight. So he sold out the
MGM by himself.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
MGM is a great place to see a show. It
is a beautiful venue. Get to the roof deck, producer Riley,
make sure you get up to the roof deck. It
overlooks the lansdown Street. It's got a big bar there.
I'm just saying, check it out.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
I was, I was reading up on role Model. I
guess all the clothes that he buys, mainly the clothes
that he buys are from Italian, an Italian clothing company
called Brandy Melville.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
Oh I know Brandy Melville.

Speaker 9 (24:11):
Ye, personally, I think she's one of the housewives, isn't
she likes By the way, his real name, I love
his real name. It's Tucker Pillsbury.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Oh that's a bit Pillsbury.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (24:25):
If I don't know Pillsbury name is Pillsbury like Pillsbury
dough Boy.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Maybe his ancestor was the original dough boy.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
Maybe there's a Brandy Melville in the back bay on
Newbury Street. Oh, you'd like to go visit.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
There's a shop, a boutique, yes, with this kid from Maine,
the Pillsbury Kid. Yeah, buying designer clothing, Energy have music
Hall tonight. You haven't seen him live, you'll see him tonight. Hey.
Brought to you by Dover Rug. There really is an
art to fitting carpeting along the staircase, a curved wall,
cutting and binding it just right, like all made suit.

(25:00):
Not just the material, it's the tailor. So visit Dover Rug.
It's in Natick, Boston, Burlington and also online at dover
rug dot com. And there you go. You never want
to feel dried up.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
From the planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
We're back with a Villy and Lisa in the morning.
Hey guys, welcome back. So we're in the studio today.
We're trying to get a grip on the Karen Reid trial.
It's the retrial. It's the second time around, and I'm
wondering if the same kind of crowds are showing up
outside the courthouse because yesterday was a big day. Yesterday

(25:35):
was opening statements from both sides. Don't forget there's a
new special prosecutor working this case. Anyway. I've got clips
from the opening statement. Bok stop at miss read and
he said what happened? And you'll hear her words through
firefighter not.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
All She said, I hit him, I hit him, I
hit him.

Speaker 12 (25:55):
This case is the very definition of reasonable doubt. At
the end of this trial, will ask you to return
the only verdicts, all three of them, that are consistent
with the evidence, the science, the truth, and justice. Not guilty,
not guilty, not guilty.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
It's true. They have to prove that she hit him,
and if they can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt,
the same thing's going to happen again. And I know
that Brennan's going after new evidence in the suv. He
has John O'Keefe's cell phone data, which shows a lot
of things that everything cover right in the first trial,

(26:36):
So that could be interesting. But I don't know, is
there's still the same level of interest.

Speaker 11 (26:42):
So I know this is an unpopular opinion. I'm probably
the only one out there, but I'm sough over the
whole Karen Reid thing. Like the first trial was interesting
and dramatic kind of and then it was just like
wamp wamp, but like after a mistrial, I just I'm
just it. It's just it's time for it to like

(27:02):
just be done. Like whether she goes to jail, doesn't
go to jail. I honestly don't care anymore. I don't.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yeah, I gotta tell you, I saw a story on
one of the local news stations yesterday, and the story
was just that that the crowds outside the courthouse, and
by the way, if you've been going there and you're listening,
feel free to call in six one seven, nine, three
one one eight. But apparently there's not as much difference
in terms of the turnout outside the courthouse.

Speaker 7 (27:28):
I mean, there's definitely definitely still some people around. I mean,
the guy got arrested yesterday. Yeah, you know, he was
lingering in the buffer zone and they charged him with
trespassing and disturbing the peace, literally locked him up. So
there's definitely some interest, but I don't know if it's
as much.

Speaker 5 (27:40):
I find it interesting that Carrie Roberts went on Good
Morning America this morning, and she's a friend of John o'keef.
So it seems like the O'Keefe family is now on
the pr.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Offensive because they know that Karen Reid did a series
of interviews for a network TV. She also did that
docu series, and now I'm thinking, hey, you know what,
let's do it for our side, for Jon O'Keefe's side.

Speaker 7 (28:01):
Yeah, and you know they're going to use a lot
of those clips they used one yesterday and the opening
statements of Karen you know, some of the press that
she's done.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Using it against her.

Speaker 7 (28:10):
Yeah story and carry was on GMA this morning talking
about finding John's body with Karen Reeves.

Speaker 13 (28:15):
He's so snowy you couldn't see. And as we were driving,
Karen would leaning between us and she was frantic. I mean,
she knew John was missing, so she was frantic about
it as I would be. And then we turned to
pull down Fairview and she saw him on the lawn
and I didn't.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
No, I haven't seen or heard anything of Turtle Boy.
Is she still around? Oh yes, Oh yes, he's covering
trial number two in a big way.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
Are really still invested in this? I don't know if
it's as many people, but you know, I'm on the
Facebook group, the Karen Read Facebook group. They have very
very active their live streams every day. People are really
still especially her supporters.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
And isn't Turtle Boy facing charges related to the first trial.
There's a lock rowne charge capring with witnesses and strung.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
He's court for it, but he is, he is there
and he's covering it.

Speaker 9 (29:02):
Okay, Yeah, I think that of course we'll be covering
it weekly because it's such a hot local topic. But
there is a lot of fatigue. I think we feel
like because we were so into it last time. We
were watching every day and we were so into it
to bring you guys the most information. But at the
same time, like I'm with that talkbacker, like I'm over it,
Like I was so into it, you guys, I would

(29:24):
go home and watch it for hours.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
That was what we watched. Yeah, we talked about what
we were watching. I'm serious, for hours I was it
was like a homework.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Yes, I would sit at home watching court TV right right.

Speaker 6 (29:36):
And now I'm just like, I'll catch ten.

Speaker 9 (29:39):
I get the gist of what's going on for the day,
but I'm over the theatrics of it. Like someone did
pass away. She they had a horrible investigation.

Speaker 6 (29:48):
We don't know. Probably we'll never really know what happened.

Speaker 9 (29:50):
I don't think we'll get an answer either way, and
it will probably be another mistrial. And then are we
going to spend more tax dollars on a third trial?
I hope not at this point.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
I think that's one of the reasons carry Robert did
the GMA, and she probably will do more interviews. It's
probably because she's like, let's not forget John is dead.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
I know, yeah, and she and she spoke about his
character and what a good stepdad he was when his
sister died and he took the kids in, and you know,
she painted a really beautiful picture of the man that
he was.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
And the story is divided a couple of towns like
people that won't speak to each other.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Canton. The damage that has been done is so sad
that people that used to be friends now on the
soccer field stand on different sides.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Imagine.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
Yeah, it's it's a lot at this point.

Speaker 9 (30:34):
Like I said, I just don't think they're going to
come to a conclusion again because it was such a bad,
botched investigation and there's so many ways it could go.

Speaker 6 (30:42):
I don't think they can get twelve or two gree well.

Speaker 7 (30:44):
Either way, if you're into Karen read or not. Tomorrow morning,
Katherine Loftus seven point fifteen, we're bringing her back. She's
going to be in to break down everything that's happened
this weekend. More importantly, take questions, yeah, from our listeners,
and if you have questions, you can send them in now.
They can send a talk back right now. You're to
talk about right now on the iHeart app. You just
pull us up, listen to kiss one. Await you have
a question? You pressed the red microphone. You asked that question.

(31:06):
Anytime of day that will come to me, and tomorrow morning,
seven fifteen will break it all down.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
It's almost like you'll be in the courtroom asking a question.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (31:14):
Catherine's great. You know, she's a lawyer herself. You know
we had her on throughout the whole trial last year.
So she's coming back this year because, yeah, they might
be some fatigue, but there's a lot of questions, a
lot of people want to know and be informed.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
And by the way, national is still covering it, oh
on court TV networks are still covering well.

Speaker 7 (31:31):
Actually, did you see the TMZ article yesterday. No, the
headline was it was Karen walking into the day one
and it said Karen Reid walking into into the courthouse
in her killer outfits?

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (31:43):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Who writes.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
That's but guess what that's what she talks about in
all these interviews, is her outfits for the day?

Speaker 4 (31:52):
All right?

Speaker 1 (31:52):
I actually have it right here. That kind of bugged
me when she did that on the interview.

Speaker 7 (31:55):
TMZ yesterday Karen Reid slays and killer look as retrial
for bought for Boston copp boyfriend's murder begins.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Isn't it the same pants suits every day?

Speaker 6 (32:04):
I think it was like a blue yesterday it was
a pretty blue.

Speaker 13 (32:06):
It was.

Speaker 11 (32:07):
No.

Speaker 9 (32:08):
That's the thing is we have been on it for
two years, but these national people are just really starting
to cover it with like the docks and stuff. So
people that aren't from here are so into it and
like getting to know it, so obviously we're.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Going to cover it well in the docu series. I
thought that was funny that she took you into the
room in the closet and showed you all her court outfits,
her court suits, and oh, I have to press it.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
My mother is gonna tell I'm like, oh my god,
you're this is not.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
What we can talk about. Kiss await justin talkback leftovers,
let's go get them. Good morning.

Speaker 8 (32:37):
I'm wondering if it's possible justin that you can tell
us where we can hear the Tom Brady interview. I
know it's already happened. I've been away offline, et cetera.
But I just heard that clip that Billy was sharing.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 7 (32:57):
Yeah, very easy to find. Search Billy and Lisa in
the morning on the iHeartRadio app one hundred percent free
and you'll get it. You can hear it. And by
the way, while are you there, may kiss when I
wait your number one preset. Yeah, so if you're listening
to you listen to Kiss went to wait at the top,
says preset.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
Boom and you're in.

Speaker 7 (33:12):
But yeah, it was an amazing, amazing in if you
will have clips of it coming up in the wrap
up at nine.

Speaker 6 (33:17):
Good show today, Good morning guys.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Couple things.

Speaker 3 (33:21):

is a birthday present because I currently drive a two

Speaker 6 (33:46):
You know what's crazy.

Speaker 9 (33:47):
Good luck to her, But that wasn't the most old
car that we had. We had our winner today angela

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Ninety eight, ninety eight Toyota camera over five hundred thousand miles.

Speaker 7 (34:00):

shot to win. You have to listen to win. But
before you do that, you have to enter go to

Speaker 1 (34:13):

Speaker 3 (34:14):
I need a bagel in Quincy?

Speaker 6 (34:18):
Okay, okay, what's going on there?

Speaker 4 (34:20):
That was weird?

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:21):
Is everything? Okay?

Speaker 9 (34:22):
Sorry?

Speaker 8 (34:23):
The person in front of me decided to come to
a complete stop trying to change lanes on ninety three.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Anyway, Winnie, I need a Bagelindy, that's where I work,
and I don't know Quincy. I'm craving a bagel. Help girl.

Speaker 6 (34:36):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (34:36):
I don't know if what party is in, but Coffee
Berry Cafe.

Speaker 6 (34:40):
There's a couple of them in Quincy.

Speaker 9 (34:41):
They're not a bagel place, but they have a honey
grain bagel that is next level with They have.

Speaker 6 (34:48):

this show. We did, thanks so much. All right, coming
up next to all wrap up the show. We had
Tom Brady on. We had a good topic time and

Speaker 13 (35:36):
Next Kids, run Away into the Morning, wrap up on
Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 7 (35:42):
Talk about a perfect winner. How about Angela? At seven
to ten this morning, we called out her instagram. She
had fifteen minutes to call us back for coldplate tickets
and to qualify for that brand new Santa Fe a
new ride, and she got through and it's perfect because
she's driving what is she driving?

Speaker 1 (35:58):

a thousand miles behind. I'm very close to like Fred's
windstoning it and it's falling apart. This would be perfect.
Are yeah?

Speaker 4 (36:10):

Speaker 7 (36:11):

this morning, Well it was yesterday, but we was late
in the show. So we reran it this morning. A
lot of great moments, especially this one about going to
Coachella last weekend.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Last minute.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
We were with my parents for uh for for Easter
and it happened to be Coachella and we were across
the street and Travis Scott was there and Dad said, Dad,
we gotta go to this. And I said, I said,
Jack this. He comes on at eleven. You know that's
two forty five East Coast time. I'm normally waking up
it for you. I'm to start my day. How am
I going to stay awake?

Speaker 4 (36:52):
He did?

Speaker 7 (36:52):
Yeah that he took a shower and got out there
and moved and was shaking us, shaken around.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Good stuff.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Yeah, I know, Billy.

Speaker 4 (36:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (37:01):
Imagine your dad like you're staying down Coachella and he's like,
all right, like last minute you show up.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Yeah, no problem, no problem. Easy. Talk of time this
morning was about what we're watching. You know.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
That's that's something we do regularly on the show because
there's so many new shows and so many networks and
streaming services, and we like to keep a running list
for people on what they're watching.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Good morning.

Speaker 14 (37:21):
I've been watching mid Century Morten with the fabulous Nathan Lane.
All ten episodes are on Hulu and for comfort, I
always don't make fun of me. I always saved the Waltons.
Good Night, John Boy.

Speaker 5 (37:36):
I have to say, Nathan Lane is the mayor's doppelganger.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
You met him?

Speaker 6 (37:40):
I did?

Speaker 2 (37:40):
He is?

Speaker 5 (37:41):
He is Nathan Lane.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah, he looks like him.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
He sounds like it.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Well, it's perfect.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Do you think that's why the mayor of the South
End watches because he feels as though he is very
Nathan Lane. Yeah?

Speaker 4 (37:53):
Yeah, Night John Boy. Never seen it, but I've heard
of it for sure.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Good morning guys.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
If you're looking for a new show to watch, there's
a show on Apple TV called Dope Thief and the
main characters that really strong male lead. He's flying off
the handle. He reminds me exactly of Billy because it's
so manly and takes charge.

Speaker 9 (38:16):
It's on my list actually, but now I don't know
what's it called Dope Toe Chief.

Speaker 6 (38:20):
It's on Apple TV.

Speaker 1 (38:20):

opening statements yesterday. A lot of people still buzzing, not
as many as last time. But our legal expert, who
exclusively covers the Karen Reid trial, will join us on
the show tomorrow morning. So if you have I have
questions about the trial, about the prosecutor, about the testimony,

coming in to promote that I actually have a connection to.
So this actually is actually pretty cool. We'll talk about
it and we'll have a good line. I texted him
to confirm tomorrow. I go, dude. We had tom Brady
on the show this week. No pressure and he goes,
no problem. Two of Giselle's exes in one week, all right,

(39:43):
so we've got the mighty one coming in. I promised
him we wouldn't run late, because we did kind of
edge into his show yesterday with the Tom Brady. I
