A woman is picking up trash to raise money for an animal shelter.

morning by Thornton and Grooms. This is a nice story.
A woman in Montreal is in the news because she's
been walking around picking up trash to raise money for
her local animal shelter. She calls herself the trash Lady,

(00:21):
and at last count, she picked up four thousand pieces
of trash. This month, she's raised almost four thousand dollars
with her GoFundMe.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Wow, that's where the money's coming from.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, So I think people are like watching her do this,
or they're following her story and then saying like, oh, okay,
let's let's help her out. Here's a little bit of this.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I'mic corporate girly by day and the trash picker by night.
I gotta stop, I mean hit from every trash I
pick up. I know firsthand how serious they take all
of the animal cases. I really think the SPCA is
a beautiful organization.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Not to take away from her because she's awesome, but
I want to give Warren a little bit of sort
of similar credit. A turtle that I attempted to rescue
but may have driven him down a drain, but Warren said,
if I did, he's fine.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
He's fine.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
He went to his habitat because he's been looking for
that turtle too, and it was all covered in garbage,
and Warren spent about two hours cleaning out the turtles.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Marsh.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, so I wish you would have started to GoFundMe.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
We can still do.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yesterday, you know those you know those frogs that I've
been housing.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah, you're frogs.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
One of them was dead, Chelsea, one of them. Better
make better care of your frogs. That's not gonna make it.
It's really sad.
