it sounds weird, and I've been trying to find another comparison.

times people think, well, you stay in your job or
your career, like your whole life and our careers are
very weird and like there is a time limit on

what we're doing. So it was fun to just be

with what I did.

listen at workstation, Like I was at the end of
the age limit for what we do now and obviously,
like you said, that's not the case anymore, but like
that's always kind of in the mindset, is like one
a time limit.

just want something where I can clock in and then
most importantly clock out.

Yes, because this job does does require a lot of

So when I thought I wanted adush job, it was like,
I just want something that's a job. I'm not my life,
you know. And I'm so happy. I'm so grateful for
this job. This has been the best experience in my life, truly,
I feel like people think there's more to it than that,
like I'm so happy, but I'm just like I'm I'm
ready for a different lifestyle. I'm ready for a different

I don't know, just something different.

Yeah, I get it, I get it. Has this been

I'm assuming you thought about this for months or is
this something that just came up recently You're like, I'm
gonna do it.

I think that it's been contemplated for a long time.
There are ups and downs in our careers, and I
think every once in a while you're like, oh, maybe
this is the time, or maybe this is the time,
or no, I'm going to keep working towards this. And
I just thought I did what I wanted to do,
I'm good, and then was ready to figure it out
and do something different, you know, like it's not it

wasn't the end of the world. It wasn't the biggest
thing for me. I don't know. I almost feel like
it sounds weird, and I've been trying to find another comparison.
I can't find another comparison. I think a lot of
times people think, well, you stay in your job or
your career, like your whole life and our careers are
very weird and like there is a time limit on

our careers.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
They're like, you.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Don't see somebody who's seventy five doing what we're doing,
Like if you're working till retirement age, it's not doing
what we're doing. So it was fun to just be
like cool, I did what I wanted to do, and
I'm I mean, this isn't gonna last forever, so why
don't I just do the next thing. Well, I'm happy
with what I did.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yeah, Yeah, that's a good point. That's a good point.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
There are I do notice there are people in the
industry for a longer amount of time than used to be.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I think I think some people have to change.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
You have to either change what you're doing so you
can't do You're right, you can't do what you're doing
now forever, or you just walk away. And I think
that's a smart choice. I mean, especially if you have
the ability to.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, and back in the day, like when I first
started reading, you know, people my age were being transitioned
off of the top forty stations onto like the oldies
listen at workstation, Like I was at the end of
the age limit for what we do now and obviously,
like you said, that's not the case anymore, but like
that's always kind of in the mindset, is like one
a time limit.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, like this doesn't last forever.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
That's not my man mentality and radio since day one
is this is not gonna last for ever.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Yeah, that's that's understandable. That's understandable. Yeah, I get it,
I get it. I was surprised still. I was surprised
still because I figured you'd be at least there till
till you know, I don't know if that Mojo's ever
gonna be done, but until Mojo was done and then
then go from there, I was.

Yeah, I think that part of it is sad. That
part of it is definitely sad, but I'm hoping that,
like I have such and I mean this in the
best way. I don't mean this disrespectful, because I know
somebody's gonna say this is disrespectful, but like I'm in
such a happy place with this, and like I'm so
like good, Like I hope everybody else is too, and

like when the time comes to celebrate him and his achievements,
and I hope I'm around for that, and I hope
that I get to congratulate and stuff like that, but
like that, that's the saddest part, for sure. For absolutely,
that's the saddest part.

Did he try because I'm only seeing obviously now what
was posted and stuff like that, did he try to
stop you at any point?
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Was he like, yeah, you can't, you can't do that.

At any point? Oh my god? Yes, multiple times, over
and over and over and over and over and over,
and even when we did the announcement on air over
a good Yeah. He's been really nice through out the
whole process. I've been very lucky with how nice and
gracious He's been. Lots of conversations, lots of are you sures,

lots of this and the other thing. And I think
everybody is a little disappointed that I am sure, But
to me, that just says like I was joking. I
made this decision on a whay at the very beginning
of this podcast.

a lot of money. I did not realize how much
truck drivers make, and I was like, bro, I didn't
know I would become a truck driver. I looked into

Like you just drive around all day every day, like
sit in the car, listen to music, listen to whatever podcast,
whatever you want to do, and then obviously you have
important things that you do too, but like for the money, Like,

Bruh, just sitting there with some headphones on listening to
podcasts and music. I could fucking do it, I have
told And then think of it this way. You have
to pull over and sleep for X amount of time.

like week one. It's like full circle. It's like a
full circle conversation.

somebody just posted their salary as a truck driver and

So did you move back in with like your brother

I couldn't afford to break my lease. Oh jeez, give
you the truth, the true story. I am very, very
lucky that the place that I have my lease with
they have buildings in Toledo, and so I was able
to just move to a different building.

This is the last one I remember. Let's go back
to the beginning. I remember sitting down at a table
with you, Mojo, and I think it was at Tommy's
Piece of Carrot Cake. I was overwhelmed in that era.
It was my overwhelmed era, and he goes, you should
you you know we're when we're talking about doing the podcast.

I sit down with you and I'm like, do you
want to do it? And you go, yeah, you want
to do it? I said yeah, but I was like
I had so much going on that my eyes looked
like this.

Fast forward to what two years almost two years later,
and this is it. This is the last one. I'm
