We're recording us at about ten to fifteen in the morning.
In April thirtieth, beef Water just wrapped up as One

man March. He made it to the motor Center at
about nine forty two and Court was with him. So
they're still down there and they're going to be coming back.
Court's probably on his way back now because he's got
a show to do.

But yeah, but they were on the news like four
minutes ago, so we probably won't get him for the podcast.

You know, they won't be here today.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
But I'm so proud of, so proud of beef Water,
and so grateful to the listeners and so grateful to
the businesses to step up like the Blazers and shake Shack.
It's really cool. And again we put this together in
like ten days.

M Yeah, and it really stemmed from just like one idea.
Like I guess it's only been about a week and
a half ago, which is crazy.

Casey was like, hey, I got this idea.

What do you think of this? And we're like, that's awesome.
Is there enough time to do it this month because
it was already like halfway through the April at that point.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
Yeah, And he said He's like, well, I was thinking
maybe we'd like do it next year, and then we
made it happen.

Yeah, next thing, you know, like Cork goes, hey, we're
doing that next week. Yeah, and we were like, oh awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
I love the faceless donations too, because we had so
many donations. We had some big donations. We may have
even had a thousand dollars donation, but all of those
donations were done without any fanfare, right, so not one
person gets the oh, well Tony gave a thousand, but
he wants you to know he gave a thousand. They
all gave out of their heart and heart alone, and

that's to me that's even a better form of charity.

And I know it's ridiculous because those guys just walks
ten point four miles. But like, so much was going
on in the studio today, Like I'm worn out well,

Think even just the beginning, thinking that you know, the
Instagram live wasn't going to work and it kind of
got started on a stressful note, but it all worked out.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Let's talk about that.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
So we had been planning this, like we said, for
about ten days and the whole plan was to go
live on Instagram. Everyone here at the radio station has
access to the brus Instagram account. You know, we got
one password for everybody, but you know, like every other
business or radio station, a lot of people have access
to it.

Speaker 5 (03:00):
A select group of people, which happens to be all
of us.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
And because our Instagram account has been growing lately, especially
the last week because of the walk, all of a sudden,
Instagram said you've reached a certain amount of followers where
it's time to protect your account a little bit more.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
And they did that. They did that by locking all
of us out.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
It just locked us out, and then there was a
two step identification two step authentication is what it was, or.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Something to a third party, whereas in I couldn't authenticate
my own we had to do it through your phone
or whatever. Like I've never even heard of that.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
So I had to doubt.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
They asked me to download an app yesterday, like download
this extra app.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
I didn't want to do that, so I tried it.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
It's strange because we never ended up actually having to
do that.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah, I tried to work around it. So I was
just doing the thing where it would just text me
codes and the original phone number was not my phone number,
and I didn't know what it was, so I just
typed in my number because I thought it would do
this for everybody, They'll type in their own number.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
And then that it would be independent.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
So well, once I typed in my number, it switched
to everything, and so everyone is trying to log in
this morning, and it would say, all right, we sent
you a co to your phone, and it would send
it to my phone, and Casey was like down in
the parking lot.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
And the codes weren't coming in in time. Like if
you send a code to my phone when we're getting
into email here, it buzzes within six seconds. These were
like coming into Tanner's phone like seven minutes after they
were requested, which isn't good for troubleshooting, right.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
And then.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Once we would get the code, then we'd type it
in and they'd be like, oh, but now you have
your code's expar yeah, so then you'd have to go
back into it again. I mean we all. I think
it was just a matter of being patient with it,
which is hard to do when you're on a fear
ime crunch.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
But I think it's crazy how powerful they are. But
Meta has got so many glitches, like Instagram is shit
in terms of video editing, in terms of just operating
the thing will crash all the time, couldn't refresh all
the time.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
There's so many problems with.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
The high failure rate, and you don't see those things
with Instagram or sorry with TikTok. With TikTok, like the
editing's really smooth and it doesn't crash.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Yeah, you know that.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Facebook and Instagram just need to get it together. So anyway,
it took us like fifteen minutes to log into the
Instagram account this morning.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
I was thinking it wasn't gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
At one point, I.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Was kind of thinking the same thing.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
It was stressing about it, yeah, which I think was
it was just a matter of keep calm and carry on.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
And Lord, you did such a good job of person
an impression of me this morning when I'm mad.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
Yeah, you want to do it again? For I can't
throw things, so I'll just leave throws. I'm just kidding. Uh,
are you fucking came? We've been working We've been working
on this all day. I can't believe this is this
always happens to us ready of course.

Today and I know that day. The line are you
fucking kidding me? Is the line I always like, are
you kidding me? That's the line I always drop, whether
it's under my breath, through my teeth, at the top
of my lungs. Yeah, because I'm blown away all the time.
And it was not fair because it was five either
five eighteen or five twenty and I said, we were
all in here like working on it, and I was like,
let's just sign in now, And so that was half

an hour a worth of us trying to sign in
before it got late. Like, yeah, it wasn't like we
did this at at five point fifty five. We started
at five twenty five, right, Yeah, so it's not fair.

That's really annoying. But I heard he got in there.

He's probably listening to he was listening through our phones
right now and he's we're never getting back into Instagram
if it.

Makes you feel anybody was doing a he was doing
a podcast. I think it was with THEO Vaughn. I
saw that they were talking about how awkward they are
and they were like fighting about who's more awkward, and Zuck, well,
I don't, He's not my cup of tea. I thought
it was funny. He's like, I'm the most awkward the
Internet discusses every day. Whether or not I'm a robot.
What do you think that does for my mental health?

Yeah, well, like a robot.

So I'm sure that he is awkward. I'm sure there's
an emotional program he can download into his interface.

Yeah, uploading now, uploading, feeling.

I'm looking at the Instagram feed. I'm not seeing the
video yet.

They might not have saved it.

Yeah, and I'm not sure if there's a way that
we can get it back.

But then again, it was a four hour Instagram feed,
so maybe it's still uploading. I don't know.

And I do you wonder too if it has something
to do with the fact that it got knocked out
of his hands at the end and it may have

When he got to the finish line, Blaze was so
excited the maskot for the Doug for he knocked the
phone out of his hand.

I do love how it was at the very end.

So, yeah, it did not happen because as Casey was
crossing the finish line, Doug fur the Blazer mascot, reached
out thinking him, you know, high five or something like that,
and smacked his phone out of the little holder and
it hit the ground and when he picked it back up,
the screen was just garbled gobbledygook. So he couldn't save

anything because he can't see anything on the screen.

Yeah, and that's why he couldn't answer a second ago.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, he's he has no idea.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
I mean, his phone is garbage right now.

I mean seemed to be fair. I have told Casey
Beef Waterway in the past, you should probably put a
case on that thing.

Because he's one of those guys who doesn't rock a
case on.

And so we lost the live stream.

share the Fox twelve footage. But dude, I mean that's
four that's four hours of content down the drain because
a tree was bouncing around.

There's a little bit of video that I have so

you know, that's why we I mean it's listen, it
is what it is.

But you know, when we set appointments like that, it's

I just the day is a success. The live stream
would have been good to have, but you know, I'm
not sure that I've ever gone back and watched more
than a minute of one of the not ours I
know one.

But guys, but listen, you guys understand this. I'm not
explaining this to you. But for people who missed the show,
they could catch it. That's what it's for and on
demand content, and it's just it's no big deal. We'll
make fun of ourselves tomorrow about it. It's just and
it's and again not Casey's faults. Really, nobody's fault.

I remember my day when I went to daycare as
I This is probably some of my first memories. I
was probably what three or four or something, but I
remember she would have a she had a big van
and the whole thing was like shag carpet side like
the ceiling, the floor of the walls, everything pimping and
she probably put like nine of us kids back there
with no no seat.

Belts or no seats, different times, different.

And she would just dry down the road and I
remember we would like she would take a turn and
we would run to this one side of the of
the van, you know, and like feel the gravity of
it and everything totally safe, you know, when kids just
bouncing through the Yeah, it's like crazy that in the eighties.
Is that's what happened. But and i'd also wht boogers
all over that shag carpet. I remember that.

You know, my mom ran a daycare. She had one car,
and there was like there was at times there were
like fifteen to twenty kids and sometimes you had to
go somewhere, so station wagon it is.

Yeah, had seat belts. They were just throwing back in
a van like cargo.

But when you got twenty kids and six seat.

Belts, I guess the kids are squeezed in there. Yeah,
that was the thought, just pack them in. Yeah, we
were just loose, loosely thrown the back loose kids all right.

but like I noticed, it didn't have a case on
it this morning.

perfectly on the corner. And I'm gonna go and get
me a screen for the other I don't think it's
uh te host. I think it's need to go get
me a screen.

Yeah, yeah, my phone was already beat to death. So
I've just been prolonging not having to get a new phone.

I appreciate the that you did the walk this morning,
but it sounds likely after all that, it sounds like we.

Lost the four hour video because of Doug fur I guess.

Yeah, we're going to go to small club squirt. We had.
We had it on on camp. There's no way around it.
He's guilty and I'm gonna take him for every Nicholas.

I saw the video.

I actually looked at the video at the moment it
fell to the ground and it just did that like
you know when it falls for like a plane or something,
and there is that spiral, and I saw that and
then it just went black.

We went concrete.

Yeah, I guess it was concrete for a bit and
then then you know, then the camera feed just went
just died. But yeah, I think we lost the feed
unless you get that thing working and it's still up there.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
And you can say that because I don't think so,
because it would be on I feel like we'd be
able to find it. Anybody who could access the Bruce
Instagram would be able to find Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Well we made it to the end, and that's the
important part. We've got a lot of coverage.

Yeah, we can run the footage from Fox twelve on
the on the internet and on the radio.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Moment Court and Susan have some footage we can string up.

Yeah, oh yeah, like there's there's footage. The Court took
a bunch, so we got we got a lot, uh
to pull aprop perfect there.

We did, and it's fine that's missing. But the fact
that it's gone is still a big chunk out of
my side.

But it is, you know, to Casey's point, it is done,
and I'm super stoked that it's done, and I'm so

other than those a few little technical difficulties, it couldn't
have been better because uh, so many businesses got involved,
so many people felt it, you know, they felt how

It wasn't for Zuck and Doug, this thing would have
been the smoothest thing we've ever he.

But I mean, even so, it was an incredible day.

It really, it's an incredible thing. But life, I'm in
that post made now of where my body's trying to
figure out what just happened and then and then like
just trying to process everything that happened, like I'm blown away,
and like I was, maybe the news will show up.
I didn't expect the news to ride through the whole morning. Yeah,

you know, so all of that stuff, like did I
think we would get to five thousand dollars? But I
was kind of pie in the sky crushed it. I mean,
so my head's just kind of spinning at this point.
I'm I'm thoroughly impressed. Uh dude, it's all huge. Thanks

to promote the thing, and it worked and our audience
