the twenty and seven Cougars of Grand Rapids Catholic Central,
led by junior z L. Arthridge, match up with the

one Regional final tomorrow night. Congratulations for Stills Northern, Jim Spragg,
the Huskies advancing at the Granville Regional and they'll take
on always tough Katie Kowalchuk, former a Hall of Famer herself,
and the buccane Yeers of Grant Haven.

And if you would have told everybody at the beginning
of the postseason that we were going to have Grand
Rapids Catholic Central representing West Michigan in Division two to
get to.

But here they are a Cinderella, the Cinderella Cougars as
they call them. One senior starter, but they have been
giant killers here in the postseason.

Christian in the district, and then they went on and
beat South Christian in the regional and now they find
themselves here at the quarter final stage for the first
time in four seasons. And boy, just a great job.
And I told you this a little bit on aired
a lot off air about coach Chris Pearl when we
did that game against Byron Center at the Cornerstone Winter Classic,

and I was very impressed with him as a whole.
I liked the way they played. They have a young team,
and I thought he was gonna do a great job.
And I told everybody that would listen. So that's like
two people that that CC was gonna be a team
that you want to watch out for. As they got
down the stretch, because when you have a young team
that's under a good coach and he's building their confidence,

we got to walk out and they have really good
players and Zay Larthage and b B. Watkins and man,
sometimes ignorance is blessed, and that's what the youth brings.
They have guys here they're not supposed to be here,
they're not, but here they are and playing their best
basketball of the season. And they're playing a very good
Marshall squad who has come from the other side of

that bracket. And this whoever wins to night gets to
punch their ticket to the Breslin and Marshall this is
their first quarterfinal.

but boy, they have never been to the Breslyn and
they're hoping to get there tonight.

Well, and they came out of the Battle Creek Harper
Creek Regional. And let's not forget they beat a very
good Holland Christian team by double digits in that regional
final to get here. We thought it might be an
all West Michigan quarterfinal, but sixty one forty six they
took care of the Maroons. Now, I know that week
there was some illness that went through Holland Christian, but
no excuses.

I mean, Marshall is a very good team.

They're led by Austin Miller's senior captain fifteen points per game.
Landon Lewis is a senior captain. But they've got guys
like Austin Burns, a senior. I was talking to head
coach Anthony Miller, his son Austin gonna go play at
Albion College, and he said, Austin Burns is gonna play somewhere.

And obviously we know Catholic Central on the other side

doing that game with me and you walked away from
that loss for Catholic Central very impressed and said, Wow,
Chris Pearl is the real deal. He was the assistant
coach under TJ. Meerman last year, but knows they very
calm demeanor they play for him. It isn't that ironic.

alive at Division one in Catholic Central. Here tonight in

just like the way that Chris comported himself. I like
the way the team played. I mean they played a

when they got going in that second half, you kind
of saw the glimpse of what they could be if

to their potential.

In the postseason, I mean United to Christian or coach Sozma,
you saw them, We thought they were impressive. Hey out
South Christian, we know all about South Christian coach Taylor

one Regional final tomorrow night. Congratulations for Stills Northern, Jim Spragg,
the Huskies advancing at the Granville Regional and they'll take
on always tough Katie Kowalchuk, former a Hall of Famer herself,

And if you would have told everybody at the beginning
of the postseason that we were going to have Grand
Rapids Catholic Central representing West Michigan in Division two to

The Breslan, you would have had some people questioning a
lot of things.

But here they are a Cinderella, the Cinderella Cougars as
they call them. One senior starter, but they have been
giant killers here in the postseason.

They beat Unity.

Christian in the district, and then they went on and
beat South Christian in the regional and now they find
themselves here at the quarter final stage for the first
time in four seasons. And boy, just a great job.
And I told you this a little bit on aired
a lot off air about coach Chris Pearl when we
did that game against Byron Center at the Cornerstone Winter Classic,

and I was very impressed with him as a whole.
I liked the way they played. They have a young team,
and I thought he was gonna do a great job.
And I told everybody that would listen. So that's like
two people that that CC was gonna be a team
that you want to watch out for. As they got
down the stretch, because when you have a young team
that's under a good coach and he's building their confidence,

we got to walk out and they have really good
players and Zay Larthage and b B. Watkins and man,
sometimes ignorance is blessed, and that's what the youth brings.
They have guys here they're not supposed to be here,
they're not, but here they are and playing their best
basketball of the season. And they're playing a very good
Marshall squad who has come from the other side of

that bracket. And this whoever wins to night gets to
punch their ticket to the Breslin and Marshall this is
their first quarterfinal.

but boy, they have never been to the Breslyn and
they're hoping to get there tonight.

which is right now Grand Rapids Catholic Central here in
the quarterfinal.

Well, and they came out of the Battle Creek Harper
Creek Regional. And let's not forget they beat a very
good Holland Christian team by double digits in that regional
final to get here. We thought it might be an
all West Michigan quarterfinal, but sixty one forty six they
took care of the Maroons. Now, I know that week
there was some illness that went through Holland Christian, but
no excuses.

I mean, Marshall is a very good team.

They're led by Austin Miller's senior captain fifteen points per game.
Landon Lewis is a senior captain. But they've got guys
like Austin Burns, a senior. I was talking to head
coach Anthony Miller, his son Austin gonna go play at
Albion College, and he said, Austin Burns is gonna play somewhere.

He just hasn't determined it yet.

And obviously we know Catholic Central on the other side
has college talent and before we get a break buck.
It's funny that you said that because I remember you
doing that game with me and you walked away from
that loss for Catholic Central very impressed and said, Wow,
Chris Pearl is the real deal. He was the assistant
coach under TJ. Meerman last year, but knows they very
calm demeanor they play for him. It isn't that ironic.

Here we sit on quarterfinal Tuesday. Byron Center is still
alive at Division one in Catholic Central. Here tonight in
Division two.

just like the way that Chris comported himself. I like
the way the team played. I mean they played a

Byron Center kind of handled them, But man, I'm telling you,
when they got going in that second half, you kind
of saw the glimpse of what they could be if

to their potential.

In the postseason, I mean United to Christian or coach Sozma,
you saw them, We thought they were impressive. Hey out
