Tell me something good brought to us by our friends
at Goodwill Houston. Let's talk heroes on this feel good
Friday eve. Fucking Rocky a CAN nine awarded by crime
Stoppers yesterday for his heroic actions that happened in January.
Rocky was the dog the CA nine that found a
violent suspect who was hiding in a dumpster. Rocky sniffed
(02:16):
him up out. That suspect then shot at Rocky. Rocky
was shot but survived. Unfortunately, he killed Deputy Jesse Varga.
But Rocky was honored because when he was shot, he
distracted that suspect that so many other US Marshall's lives
were saved. It was amazing because Rocky kept moving. He
(02:37):
was eventually airlifted out of the situation, had life saving
surgery and he is doing great today. He was honored
yesterday and Deputy Vargas was also honored for all of
his work that he had done and how he had
died in the line of duty. They had a moment
of silence for him yesterday and Rocky was just the
(02:57):
happiest with all the attention. But his hand says he
is the happiest of all when he's working the streets
and chasing down the back line.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Congratgel's Rocky the can nine, Mister Anthony, Yeah, Dane.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Many don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Before she became a Tejano superstar, Selena Keintonia was actually
raised down in Lake Jackson, about an hour south of Houston,
and this month the late Jackson Historical Museum debuted a
bigger exhibit in her honor, Selena Forever, her music, her legacy.
Their museum director says they're thrilled to have more people
come out take a look, learn even more about Selena
in her time and upbringing in Lake Jackson. There's also
(03:31):
going to be select memorabilia from Andrew Longoria's collection on
you Who. By the way, last year, Andrew, Who's from
Corpus Christi, was awarded the Guinness World Record for the
most extensive Selena memorabilia collection.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
That's pretty incredible. So for any.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Selena fans new or og could be a great visit,
especially with summer vacations coming up. It's the Lake Jackson
Historical Museum and their Selena Forever exhibit. Admission to the
museum is free, by the way, and you can find
it down in Lake Jackson right off Circle Way.
Speaker 2 (03:56):

Kiston Sunday ninety nine point one is seven twenty Dana
in the Morning and producer Anthony We've got Houston's best
(04:49):
variety of the eighties, nineties, and today.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Our nearly impossible question.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
We learned that thirty five percent of forty year olds
have never gotten married, and that's fine, and we're asking you,
are you forty and not mayor maried or married? What's
it for you? And we've got a keen calling in
from the Heights area. Are you forty a keen and
not married?
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Almost? I'm thirty five and I'm hoping to get married soon.
So i have a girlfriend, but.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
We'll hold on a you say you're hoping to get married.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Is she hoping to get married ideally?
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Wait and then ideally? But but I mean, does that
include you?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
I mean, that's the plan when someone else and I
don't know, they're a really weird situation.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Okay, how long? How long has she been your girlfriend?
Speaker 4 (05:36):
About two and a half years.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Okay, wait, so tune up. You guys should probably know
by now.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
No, I mean I think I know, we just we
never broached our question.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Well that's thirty thank you.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Wait a minute, Wait a minute, now, Anthony, he's going
to take a different tact I know, but I'm a
little bit more front, a little bit definitely.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Just come out and ask her, partially because I don't
I don't know what the answer would be. I'm hoping
he has would be.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Okay, akem.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
You need to kind of set her up in a
way where you can find out what she's going to say,
because obviously it would be crushing to you if she
turns you down, right, Yeah, of course you need to
start planning for the future, start talking talking her about
kids and vacations and bank accounts and see where she.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Goes with it.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
All right, maybe a night, are you guys going to
be spending Easter together.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
We are all right.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Easter is all about new beginnings.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Right, Yeah, I'm actually almost going to Easter at her parents.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Okay, you know what you should do, akeem. I'm telling
you take my advice.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Ask her parents how they met and ask them if
they like being married. I mean, if her parents are
still married, right they are, that's amazing. Okay, then that's
probably a long marriage. Doesn't mean it wasn't fraught with difficulty,
but they hung in there together. Maybe that'll give your
girlfriend a little bit of confidence and strength to go
(06:54):
through with it.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Well.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Excited that you called for advice. I bet you didn't
realize you were going to get a vice for me today,
did you.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I know, I feel like I can cancel my therapy please.
Speaker 2 (07:05):

marriage is going to cost you money.
