Yes, producer Anthony.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Dana, We're all excited for the return of baseball in
our strows, but it's also important to point out what
a boost it is for businesses in the downtown area.
One of those industries is the petty cab businesses. You
see them all the time outside of Dyke and Park
all around downtown. Especially after our opener yesterday and the
win the Strokes took, people are all excited. One petty
cab owner says, it's like they're New Year's Day and
you think about the full season. There's eighty two home
(02:32):
games in the season. It's a big boost. One petty
cab owner even got to give Jose altuvea ride one.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
So man, never know who you might run into.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
But if you're headed downtown to a game this season
and looking for some transportation options, maybe check out one
of our many petty cab options that's got.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
And I'm just thinking how strong they are.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Shape, right legs and when it starts getting hot, right man,
best shape.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Listen. I want to give a shout out to this
very special lady who needs wrecking. Her name is Wana Laura.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
She was on her way to work a regular day
on Tuesday. She's at the East tex Freeway feeder road
when she sees a disturbing site. Some dogs had been
left in that area, some of them not alive.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
She's just devastated, wondering who would do this. But while
she's looking, and you know, most people would just pass by,
she sees four puppies. They're alone. Geez, they're fine.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
She gets them to the Houston SPCA. They are now
being cared for, will eventually be up for adoption. So
Wanta Laura, thank you so much, really though kind and
stopping and helping these precious little puppies. And you can
if anyone's got any information and saw anything in that
area on Tuesday, you should check out Houston SPCA dot
(03:53):
org and definitely let them know. Now, we always have
our tell Me Something Good stories up at Sunday ninety

and TikTok at Sunday ninety nine Houston Sunday ninety nine

the eighties, nineties and today on a feel good Friday,
(04:13):
where we're asking you what you feel proud of.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Maybe you accomplished something this week, maybe in your life.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
It was our question up on Facebook at Sunday ninety nine,
Houston and on this feel good Friday, we just want
to share your victory stories.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
And we have got tie calling in. Now.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
You say you started your own company, Tye talks about it.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
So Birdhouse Golf Company we make high grade quality, luxury
dibot tools and ball markers and motel openers that are
shaped like golf carts.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
These are high end, like a divot.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
What makes them high end?
Speaker 4 (04:50):
So they're CNC machined in the USA, made from grade
five titanium. And then I do all of my finishing
work in house with a process called analyzing, which is
where you dunk the piece in water and change voltages
running through the water. Depending on the voltage you have,
(05:11):
you get different colors.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Wow, that sounds that's amazing.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
This would be like such a unique gift for the
golfer in your family. Absolutely, what was what are you
thinking about that you would even come up with this idea?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
Yeah, So I am a collector of knives and other
pocket trinkets that several of my friends around the world make,
and I gravitated towards titanium. And when that happened, I
learned about the anatizing process, and I found out that
it costs a pretty penny from some people to have
(05:46):
things done, and so I got on YouTube and taught
myself how to do it. And then I love golf,
and so I wanted to combine the two things together
and designed to do the tools and now I make
those intentish them.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
That's a cool story, fascinating, that's just really sing Now,
will you be able to make enough on your passion
project so you no longer need to work for a living?
Speaker 4 (06:09):
That would be the dream. Absolutely, But it's a I
do it out of my garage and so it's not
a large scale project. It's always been kind of a
side hobby that's grown.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
I just want to remind you there's a company you
might have heard of called Amazon. I believe they started
that company in a garage.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Too, yes, ma'am. And they them Facebook, Apple, several of
them that way, a.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Few ties company. Yes, a're so that is amazing. Now
do you have a website? Are you on Instagram? Tell
us how we can find you?
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Yes, ma'am, so I am on. My website is www
dot Birdhouse Golfco dot com, and then my Instagram is
Birdhouse Golf Co.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I love it. How much do these divot tools cost? Uh?
Speaker 4 (06:54):
They range from about one hundred to one hundred and
forty dollars each.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
You know, that is actually if you really want a
unique birthday or anniversary to get about what you're getting
at the price range, that is really kind of the
sweet spot because it's a unique, sure, one of a
kind item, and it's custom made.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
And what colors do you have?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
So there's a full spectrum of colors. It's probably an
easier way to say the colors I can't do, and
that would be reds, oranges and white.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
But I can do your blues, your purples, your greens, pinks, yellows, black.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
That is fascinating time, man, I love that. I would
be so proud of myself for figuring out this. I'm
telling you, YouTube is a great resource.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Tie you just proved it well.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
It's taught me a lot and I've had the help
of some incredible people to get me to where I'm at,
so I can't take all the credit.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Ah, well, that is great. The story that's still luck
to you. Again.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
It's Birdhouse Golf Company and definitely check it out birdhousegolfco
dot com. And I think that's a really neat birthday idea. Ty.
Thank you for Sharon, and we hope you have a
really feel good Friday, really good day.
