Well, good evening, everyone, Welcome to Saturday Night basketball. This
being a makeup game from a cancellation earlier. This season
final regular season game for the Chillicothee Cavaliers as well
as I believe the McLain Tigers, are finishing up tonight.
The McLean Tigers, according to my notes, come into the
game with an eight and twelve record. They're zero to

nine in conference play, but they've had the three or
four losses by just single digits less than five points.
Chillicothe comes in losing last night to Jackson to move
their record to ten and eleven, but they are five
and four, third place in the FA seed. Finishing up tonight,
they go to tournament play next Tuesday at.

up the broadcast with the fact that I briefly talked
to coach Pat Beard and the calves are suffering from
a lot of illness, So I don't know how this
is going to go tonight. And he actually told me,
and actually we mentioned it last night, Shane and I

in the broadcast of Jackson, that the Cavs just didn't
have a lot of pizaz and a lot of energy
and evidently there's a good bit of illness going through
the team and that affected him last night.

I think it's probably going to affect him tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
A couple of the guys look like they don't feel
well at all, but they're out there.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
We'll kind of get it.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Actually brought a couple extra guys up from the JVS.
I'm sure to try to give some of these guys
a bit of arrest and see what they can do.

As I look out, I mean I.

Certainly see Cox and Stone King and Jan Miller, Cam
Badger and Andrew Hammond, although to be truthful, Andrew looks like
he is really under the one. He's struggling to move
around much. Of course, Nolan Netter moved up. They had
marked down on the Varsity to have Swan Brown, who

plays a lot of jvs, but he did not play
jvs last night.

I don't see him either on the squad, so we
shall see. They have also brought up Levi Moss off
the jvs. Cavon Pleasant is up off the jvs, so
we shall see. I don't see Victor Hitchens out there
as well for the Cavaliers, so we shall see. Turn

about fair play. Last time these two teams met, not
that long ago, the Calves built up a huge lead.
Greenfield came back McClain to make a big run I think,
got down seventeen eighteen, got it back within four or five,
but Calves wound up putting by the round fourteen or
fifteen points back in Chilicothe. And during that game, the
McClain Tigers were without one of their senior starters, Riley Cummings,

due to illness. But he is back tonight, so maybe
McLain a little healthier than they were last time these
two teams met in Chilicothe. As we said the final game,
Caves would like to get a win, you would finish
up the season eleven and eleven.

They go Tuesday night at home and tournament play in
Division three as they meet up against Sheridan High School.
They are the better seed so they get to host
that game on Tuesday night, and Cat Pat Beard gave me,
give me some new numbers because the Caves are in
black uniform something we haven't seen all year, trimmed in
their royal blue with num royal blue numbers. But he said, yeah,

here's some new numbers. And he said, we're fighting a
lot of illness and he said, we're just trying to
get healthy for our tournament game on to.

So we shall see JV's.

Of course, since the jvs have moved up, they were
a little bit shorthanded as well. We're handed pretty easily
a loss in game. The freshman game only played two quarters,
so obviously there's been a lot of illness around and
evidently it's extended into the Cavalier camp certainly for this one,

and as we found out, I think it had an
effect last night.

Take nothing away from Jackson. They played very well.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I'm not sure if the Cavs could have beaten the Ironman,
but we made a comment and I think you could
tell the Cavs just we're locking some zip and things
that you could tell last night several of them weren't
feeling very well. We got a couple of minutes before
we open up the zip here at Greenfield McClain High School.

road here at Greenfield McClain as the Cavaliers get set
to face the Tigers. Looking down, I'm assuming the Cavaliers
will be the regular starting lineup again, Jan Miller, Cayton Cox,
Scrooper stone King, Andrew Hammond and Cam Banger.

Is what I would expect to start for the Cavaliers.
That's been a pretty regular starting on that for these

as a senior. Riley Cummings normally starts as a senior,

And last time we've played these Tigers, Brandon Green started
another senior, so it wouldn't be unlikely that McLean would
go with all seniors here tonight. As to look down,

I only see four players on the bench for Chillicothy.
That includes sophomore and Noah Netter, Freshman Carte Liggan, who
normally is the sixth man anyway, Von pleasant Enough off
the JV's normally doesn't dress varsity, but he is dressed tonight.

And then they brought up Levi Moss as well, so
normally Vic Kitchens is around. He is not on the
bench tonight. One of their JV players Brown who stepped
up a couple of times, not on the bench tonight.
And Carter Williams, who've got a little playing time last
night at Hillsboro and not on the bench either. None

of them were of here for the JV game either,
So the dabs are down the pretty good number tonight
and a couple just like said the starters don't look
real healthy, so it'll be interesting. Guys are gonna have
to gut it out tonight. Certainly not feeling very well.

Riley Cummins and again he did not play against Chilicopy.

they are going to start all seniors. It looks like
