Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time for Chilicothie High School basketball action on the
home of the Caps fourteen ninety wb e X powered
by Where Funeral Home, Adina Health System and Holler Funeral Home.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Well, good evening, everyone, Welcome to Saturday Night basketball. This
being a makeup game from a cancellation earlier. This season
final regular season game for the Chillicothee Cavaliers as well
as I believe the McLain Tigers, are finishing up tonight.
The McLean Tigers, according to my notes, come into the
game with an eight and twelve record. They're zero to

(00:37):
nine in conference play, but they've had the three or
four losses by just single digits less than five points.
Chillicothe comes in losing last night to Jackson to move
their record to ten and eleven, but they are five
and four, third place in the FA seed. Finishing up tonight,
they go to tournament play next Tuesday at.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Home at Hattan Memorial Gymnasium.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Every one, I'm Greg Beg, I'm flying solo tonight, Glad
to have you along for Cavalier basketball. And we open
up the broadcast with the fact that I briefly talked
to coach Pat Beard and the calves are suffering from
a lot of illness, So I don't know how this
is going to go tonight. And he actually told me,
and actually we mentioned it last night, Shane and I

(01:20):
in the broadcast of Jackson, that the Cavs just didn't
have a lot of pizaz and a lot of energy
and evidently there's a good bit of illness going through
the team and that affected him last night.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
I think it's probably going to affect him tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
A couple of the guys look like they don't feel
well at all, but they're out there.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
We'll kind of get it.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Actually brought a couple extra guys up from the JVS.
I'm sure to try to give some of these guys
a bit of arrest and see what they can do.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
As I look out, I mean I.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Certainly see Cox and Stone King and Jan Miller, Cam
Badger and Andrew Hammond, although to be truthful, Andrew looks like
he is really under the one. He's struggling to move
around much. Of course, Nolan Netter moved up. They had
marked down on the Varsity to have Swan Brown, who

(02:13):
plays a lot of jvs, but he did not play
jvs last night.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Or the night.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
I don't see him either on the squad, so we
shall see. They have also brought up Levi Moss off
the jvs. Cavon Pleasant is up off the jvs, so
we shall see. I don't see Victor Hitchens out there
as well for the Cavaliers, so we shall see. Turn

(02:37):
about fair play. Last time these two teams met, not
that long ago, the Calves built up a huge lead.
Greenfield came back McClain to make a big run I think,
got down seventeen eighteen, got it back within four or five,
but Calves wound up putting by the round fourteen or
fifteen points back in Chilicothe. And during that game, the
McClain Tigers were without one of their senior starters, Riley Cummings,

(03:00):
due to illness. But he is back tonight, so maybe
McLain a little healthier than they were last time these
two teams met in Chilicothe. As we said the final game,
Caves would like to get a win, you would finish
up the season eleven and eleven.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Overall.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
They go Tuesday night at home and tournament play in
Division three as they meet up against Sheridan High School.
They are the better seed so they get to host
that game on Tuesday night, and Cat Pat Beard gave me,
give me some new numbers because the Caves are in
black uniform something we haven't seen all year, trimmed in
their royal blue with num royal blue numbers. But he said, yeah,

(03:42):
here's some new numbers. And he said, we're fighting a
lot of illness and he said, we're just trying to
get healthy for our tournament game on to.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
So we shall see JV's.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Of course, since the jvs have moved up, they were
a little bit shorthanded as well. We're handed pretty easily
a loss in game. The freshman game only played two quarters,
so obviously there's been a lot of illness around and
evidently it's extended into the Cavalier camp certainly for this one,

(04:13):
and as we found out, I think it had an
effect last night.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Take nothing away from Jackson. They played very well.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I'm not sure if the Cavs could have beaten the Ironman,
but we made a comment and I think you could
tell the Cavs just we're locking some zip and things
that you could tell last night several of them weren't
feeling very well. We got a couple of minutes before
we open up the zip here at Greenfield McClain High School.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Let's take a time out as well.

Craig, thank them with you. Tibmccathy Cavalier Basketball final home
regular season final regular season game, not Homer on the
road here at Greenfield McClain as the Cavaliers get set
to face the Tigers. Looking down, I'm assuming the Cavaliers
will be the regular starting lineup again, Jan Miller, Cayton Cox,
Scrooper stone King, Andrew Hammond and Cam Banger.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Is what I would expect to start for the Cavaliers.
That's been a pretty regular starting on that for these
last ten eleven twelve games.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
So also see a.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Lot of Carte Liggan off the bench, and other than that,
I'm not sure. I'm not sure who's healthy for the Cavaliers.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
McLean.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I'm wondering at senior night that if they may, under
coach Jared Haynes, go ahead and start all senior Several
of their seniors do start. Zane Adams a normal starter
as a senior. Riley Cummings normally starts as a senior,
so does Owen Sykes.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
So we would expect.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
And last time we've played these Tigers, Brandon Green started
another senior, so it wouldn't be unlikely that McLean would
go with all seniors here tonight. As to look down,

(10:13):
I only see four players on the bench for Chillicothy.
That includes sophomore and Noah Netter, Freshman Carte Liggan, who
normally is the sixth man anyway, Von pleasant Enough off
the JV's normally doesn't dress varsity, but he is dressed tonight.

(10:33):
And then they brought up Levi Moss as well, so
normally Vic Kitchens is around. He is not on the
bench tonight. One of their JV players Brown who stepped
up a couple of times, not on the bench tonight.
And Carter Williams, who've got a little playing time last
night at Hillsboro and not on the bench either. None

(10:55):
of them were of here for the JV game either,
So the dabs are down the pretty good number tonight
and a couple just like said the starters don't look
real healthy, so it'll be interesting. Guys are gonna have
to gut it out tonight. Certainly not feeling very well.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
I had a long introduction here from playing p announcer
Saint Adams will start.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Riley Cummins and again he did not play against Chilicopy.
It was about maybe about nine ten days ago, and
they are going to start all seniors. It looks like
number five Hayden Angel will start a senior normal starter
senior Owen Sykes will start.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
I guess they're introducing all the singers again. Normal partner
Shane Combs.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
He's over on our sister station in ninety four to
three FF with SVC action tonight Unyo visiting Paint Valley,
So we're solo tonight with this FAC matchup. This again
was pushed back from even about a month ago. It
should have been one of the final games of the
first round, and that was a weather cancellation. I think

(12:52):
it was originally scheduled on a Friday night. So we
are set to go fall in the air controlled by
the Calves. Get it to stone King, right wing to
Cayden Cox back to Cooper was opened said Greenfield is
going to play a zone. Hammon in the deep corner,
double teamed in the corner, bounces it down under the

(13:14):
stone King fakes heavy traffic, has to throw it all
the way back out front to one Miller again McLean
in his zone, stone King, back out to long Miller
on top left side. Stone King will fire a three
in and out go battle for the rebound and on
the deck picked up by McClane. You bound, pulled down

(13:37):
by Owen Sykes. Brayden Green brings it up in the
deep corner of three point shot good.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
That was Alex Perry normally.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Not a starter, and now the official is going to
have to stop the game and get to McClain in
the student section back in the stands and one of
the seniors I don't think normally plays a lot. Got

(14:15):
a chance to start. Hammond on the other end for three,
got it, got to tie it up. Andrew Hammond hits
the three. So two threes both from the deep corner,
one for the Tigers, one for the Cavs were tied
three to three, and at an end of.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
The game.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Out front, that's Angel with football on top to Sykes,
Sikes to Hunter, back to Sykes and again McLean didn't
go to five seniors starting here, Angel with the basketball

(14:54):
almost strew it away.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Calves backman the man.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Just to the corner and stole them by outlet pass
Cam Badger, Cam all the way to the other end,
lay it.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Up and end.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
It'll be a turnover turned into two points. Cam Badger
with a two nice steal by Caden Cox. Cavs were
able to do that at the last meet and get
some steals in a lot of breakaways. One Miller of
coursing defense against Angel deep corner to three off the iron,
No good. Caden Cox with the rebound outlet all the

(15:27):
way to the other end. Stone King saves it down
on the baseline, tries to fight an opening and now
how's it taken away? Now to the other end, long
pass saved down under that's turned over on the baseline
pass stone King steals it. Sykes had it now back
to stone King. Now one Miller goes to the deep

(15:48):
corner back Cayden Cox. He'll launch a three, no good
battle for the rebound picked up by him and down
under missed an easy layup battle underneath is going to
go to the plane by three calves lead a little
bit of full court token pressure. Stone King picking up

(16:10):
on Hunter on Green Green, has it left wing outside
to Perry. Perry hit that three. That's almost over and
back saved back by McClean, kept n in the front
court driving now back door feed badger affected the shot.

(16:31):
Rebound shot affected as well. McLean missed two of them.
Flows in but a nice help side defense cam badger
affected that shot. Hamon fakes the three back to stone
King on the wing. Out let it out on top.
Stone King fakes splits the zone all the way down
the middle, put the shot up and him split everybody

(16:52):
in Cooper. Stone King with his first bucket calves out
to a seven to three lead. Good enthusiasm, a lot
of people, a lot of students here from McClean, Tonight.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Brandon Green, Jeremy Web with it now out front.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
That's Owen Sykes, Sikes back out front of Angel Hayden
guarded by Wan Miller dribbling crossover, dribble backs it off
Angel back on top Sikes about three feet out from
a three point line crossover, dribble back on the right wing,
try to set a pick.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Angel dishes into corner.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Stone King picks it off another turnover, two on one,
stone King all the way to the hall up and in,
nicely done Cooper. Stone King under control, took it to
the defender and got just to the side of him.
You laid off the glass and in. That's four straight
points from stone King and the Calves are out there
quick nine to three lead. Well, there's a high pick
set by Sikes. Three point of good.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
It was Owen. Sykes got a nice drive.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Kick back out to Sykes, wide open the top of
the key and he hits the three quick time out.
I think Greenfield McClean wants to get some of their
normal couple of their normal starters in nine sex McLean
has said two threes for those six points.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Well keep it right here. See what changes come about
for McLain.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
It looks like Jordan Bell, one of their really good shooters,
going to get into the lineup. So Bell comes in.
Hudson Lovett, the freshman played well last time.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Gets in the game. Sykes stays in, Cummins gets into
the game.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
And the other starters still in I believe is Owen,
Sikes and get Adams. So they're back to their normal
starting five all we expected Zane Adams, Riley Cummins, Jordan Bell, Sikes,
Freshman Hudson love it.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Nine to six.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Calves lead it just a little past midway through the
first quarter. Al McLean brings their zone out a little
bit further, almost a bad pass.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Bart A Leggan has come into the game.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
Legan gets a high post, dribbles inside against the zone.
Because thows one up out of a twisting over the
shoulder shot that he draws a foul will.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Go to the line.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Cammon went out and I had no idea, but just
watching the warm ups and watching Andrew Hammond looks to
be really sick, feeling well at all. Nice free throat
up and good by Carte Liggan. So the Cats have
four players in the scoring column ten six on top,

(20:00):
cart A second free throw perfect and eleven to six
Cabs on top. They come out with a little three
quarter's core pressure with his zone trap a trap comings
comings in trouble, almost steal it away and it's.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Picked off by Badger gets it out to Carton. Excuse
me to.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Kayden Cox now on top. Miller started to reverse a
good read. Now stone King splits the zone, takes it
to the hole. He's just going through the zone like
crazy and getting to the hole. Six points for Cooper.
Stone King three layups all three well, one was on
a fast break, the other two. He's split his zone

(20:37):
and got to the hall. Double team long cross court,
passed down under, Badger picks it up, shot no good
down close, excellent, Sean for loved, couldn't get it to go.
Gabs came back leading by seven, two thirty to play
first quarter.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Here at McLean High School. Stone King on top. He's
been coming off the wing when he's been able to dry,
and now Miller's on the wing. Stone Kings on top.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Cooper said, I'll try a three bingo about stone King.
He's on fire in the early going. He's got nine
already and the calves are up quickly. Sixteen to six,
full court trap pressure, Cummings dishes it off, bell Bell trapped,
gets to the right corner, taking it, driving it inside.

(21:21):
Try to pass it under throat away bad pass, but
Carte legging saves it. Tries to throw it under the
stone King. That was a bad pass by Caden Cox
with great hustle by carteligging to get it back and
the calves will keep it under their own bucket, leading
sixteen to six.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
On the last possession, Sikes had a good maybe ten
foot baseline shot, tried to throat underneath the bucket and
the calves pecked it all the calves having trouble getting
it in bounds. And I'll knocked away Gospard yelling out
number two. Change the play.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Miller will trigger it in gets its Liggan hands it
back to one down down under Badger. I knew that
was coming.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
That was the Academy Award by Riley Cummings. The the
Academy Award. He went down as if he got remembered
by a steam locomotive, and he sold it and a
charging fell called on cam Badger. That has changed a
little bit with the not being able to go down

(22:32):
without content. There was some contact, but that was pulled
off there by McClean. Now Bell thought about a three,
gets it back out to Riley Cummings. Double team beats
the double team behind the back pass lay up to
ohing Psychs with de laya ice passed by Riley Cummings.
Sixteen to eight men and a half to play first quarter.

(22:56):
One Millar out front and it looks like the plane
and switch back man to man and coming out a
little more pressure. Sixteen to eight a minute sixteen to

(23:16):
play first quarter. Fill it in a deep corner Caden
Cox right back.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
To Cam Badger and we've got to reach and foul
to leave on the plank on Sikes. Ball will be
under the Calves bucket. Now down to minute eleven, checking
back in for the Tigers freshman Hudson eleven and Sykes

(23:43):
will come out and there's the second foul on Sikes.
Well they had a man open Caden Cox.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
Now they do get it to him, but deep in
the corner on the in bounced play, bring it back
out front of stone King, reverse it to one Miller
on top pressure man the man now by mc pane
all over one Millary dribbles, bounces it in the right
corner to Badger. Badrick tries to beat his man, brings
it back out almost lost it now gets it down
under the stone King. Stone King down under, tries to

(24:13):
throw it, gets it to Cox, almost tipped the way
down to forty five seconds.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Stone King gets.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
It inside down Carte Legan, I'll put it in and
his foul freshman Carte Legan.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Nice move.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
The chance for a three point play the old fashioned
way for Legan. I think bucket Mesain had picked up
a little bit of momentum.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
That'll make it eighteen to eight.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Cartes free throws short, well short, no good, and here
comes comes with the basketball almost knocked the way from him.
Now he gets it ahead, love it underneath out the end.
Bad defense with the Cavaliers. They just kind of one.
I gambled two guys didn't get back and to give
up the layup. Cabs need to wait for a final shot.

(25:05):
Up by eight nineteen seconds. I almost steal it away.
Oh kag Cox dribbling down the lane. Don't need a
shot yet, We don't need a shot. They shoot one anyway,
no good, and now mcclan's gonna have a chance to get.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
A shot off. Von Miller took that shot and we
didn't need it.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Now three seconds get it down, three point shot off
the round, No good. Long was open, but you don't
need a three point shot. We's still nine seconds on
the clock.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
But it worked out.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
The Cavaliers survived one quarter going by McLean Chilicothee eighteen.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Mclean'sen.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
You're listening to CAVS coverage on WBX back of the
second quarter after this.

Speaker 3 (25:45):

Fack by Greg Vacom McClean. You'll get the ball to
start the second quarter. I'll give you the score.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
I think I might have missed two points for the Cavs.
Here Cummings out front, right side. Green is back in
the game. Now wide open for three. No good backside
rebound one Miller outlet pass all the way down, but
Driley Cummins gets back to knock it out of bounds
and try to full forth pass to Cooper stone King.

(27:18):
The Calves, I have Cooper stone King with eight, Andrew
Hammond three, Badger two. That's thirteen four from Carte legging
it is seventeen and missing the point somewhere legging of

(27:40):
the basketball loses it, fumbles, it loses it down under
or scramble for the like a fumble and the baseline
tied up, and I think the Calves and they wind up.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
Will they get this back? I can double check the scoreboard.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Cox opened fifteen footer Bengo Dacan Cox. That's his first
two points to the ballgame for car pressure knocked away
Badger steals, Badger all the way down shot a crazy layup,
but it's put back in by Leggan six points for

(28:26):
Carte Leggan. A little too much mustard on that layup
by cam Badger for Carte saved me. Now a lob
to the backside, bell opened. He's a good shooter. Three
point shot short, no good comings in front of three
Calves pulls down the rebound at five foot eight and
he double dribbled the basketball turnover McLean.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Ook out one. Excuse me? Yuh?

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Drive down the lanes, can kick the right side, cam
Badger or no good on the shot, another rebound, Carte
legging back up and in we had Liggan with eight.
There's been a monster on the boards inside for the Cavaliers,
and the Calves have built up a fourteen point advantage.
Still that full court pressure, Cox gambled, got beat. They
get it down to the right corner to Green Green

(29:21):
one dribble still in the corner.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
A little bit of trouble there in the.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Corner for Zane Adams, and now they'll settle down and
reset the offense. Looking comments, beats his man down the lane,
dishes it underneath and lay up. No good rebound fought
four picked out of there by the Cavaliers on the
mislayout by Green. Now Cox bad shot, no good. He
was way off balance falling down and threw it up.

(29:46):
Did not have a good shot. But the Calves still
lead twenty four to ten. And now we got a
foul Contstone can collide it. Yeah, stone King with nine,
Lincoln with eight. So we're correct on those two for

(30:10):
Caden Cox, who have that right, three for Hammon. The
Cabs are going to get a couple of subs in
the game. Hammon's going to come back in also, sophomore
Noa Netter, it's going to check in for the first
time tonight. And the Calves look like they're going to
go back man to man after using a lot of

(30:30):
that three quarters trap pressure down the right, buys man
up and easily we're gonna drive to the bucket by
Brandon Green and beat his man off the dribble, and
then Crabb Beard's talking to Noah Netter. Noah kind of
just oh, give it the old olay move. Reached out

(30:53):
a hand with the ola and free throw no good. Rebound,
another rebound for Ligan, push it up the floor almost
over and back give it back to Onan Miller. Twenty
four to twelve. Calves stone King geist job didn't have
it and brought it back out. Now the Hammond double
teamed in the corner, cross court past the Wan Miller.

(31:14):
One will take a fifteen foot jumper, no good, and
the rebound on the floor. Nice job, Noah Netter Oh
Traveling called on Netter he got the ball, thought he
was going to try to call time out. McLean will
get the ball. Trailing by twelve, twenty four to twelve.

(31:39):
Cummings right corner. McClain with the basketball deep in the
right corner of green back out front, three point shot,
no good. Battle for the rebound. Netdar couldn't get it
and now Traveling called.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
One level Paul card pressure Bell up on Wan Miller.
Under five minutes to play. Second quarter.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Calves are up by twelve again going through some illness tonight.
Trying a little bit light on the subs today. Stone
King backs it off man. The man tries to beat
his man, got bumped. Now Carte Ligging goes inside, puts
it up and yeah, I'm telling you Carte Liggan send

(32:30):
points right now. He's just phenomenal on the baut I
know he's phenomenal in football. Man Now deep dry kick
it back out. Stone King trying to get open as
Riley coming, stone King stayed in front of him, coming
up on four minutes in the half bell working against
Wan Miller handed out, trying to Green, Green hands it

(32:53):
off to Zeint Adams.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
Adams behind the back Green guarded by Hammot.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Green dishes right side, little new looking underneath for a
backside feet Noah Nettter on his man, kick it back
out front wide open three no good while bat it
in the air and finally no a Netter can't hang
on to it. But Lon Miller gets it and brings
it out. It's three there by coming now Stoneking quick three.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
On the other end good.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Cooper's got twelve with that three time out mcgreensfield McClain
three point thirty eight to play until halftime. So mccauthe
twenty nine. McClain twelve back with more action after this
time out.

Speaker 7 (33:34):
There are a lot of temptations facing young people today,

Speaker 2 (34:28):
To get back in the game, Cartel Leggan is going
to get a break. Came off the bench, score ten points.
He and stone King of combined for twenty two of
chilicopies twenty nine. But he'll come out of the game.
Noa Netter will stay in. Cam Badger comes back in
Stone King now. Guardian man men out front. Guardian Riley

(34:50):
Cummins now one on one against Noah Netter. Miller picks
up bell, forces us no good long rebound grabbed by
him and give it to Cam. Badger goes behind his back.
He's a little bit of trouble. Now we're going to
take it all the way in and he's fouled.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
About Cam.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
He if he sees an opening and it can be
two inches wide, he sees an opening, He's going to
haul button right to the straight as hard as he
can to the bucket. He got a little more of
an opening there, got to the bucket, got fouled. It
was due to two Cam with two points so far
here in the first half. Kayden Cox set to come
back in and Badger makes his free throw.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Calvs built a big lee the last two time these
two teams met and then gave it up in the
second half.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
That came back to win. Hang on that kind of
hung on there in the last three four minutes. Badger
second free throw missed it long rebound netter had to
hand on.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
I couldn't control it. Cox is back in the lineup.
Three minutes till halftime.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Ie drived and so I kick it back out now
into the corner bell a new man in for McClean
taking it to the hole and off the hands, and
that was Julian Evans, a junior who just came into
the game, lost the ball on a drive to the bucket.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
Turn over. McClean.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Calves have it so you'll come back out, and they
started out in his zone, but have been a man
the man most of the second quarter. Miller goes right
side Caten Cox wants to go into Noah net Ter.
Noah goes to the bucket and puts it in a
nice pass kayten Cox Nettter with us first two all
the way to the other end. McClean tried to fast break.
They'll throw it away in two. Twenty nine to go

(36:52):
until halftime. The Calves have built up a twenty point
advantage thirty two to twelve. Thlow it into one Miller,
they'll clear out for one against Bell gets by. Bell
comes down top of the key still with his dribble,
backs it back out, bounces it down baseline, Cam Badger,

(37:13):
Cam's gonna go one on two, predicts it out Hammon
for three.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Got it.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Gillness and all Hammon with two threes. He's got six.
Sykes on the other end, had a three, didn't take
it the right wing. Sykes back on top to Jordan
Bell under two minutes to play nice pick.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
And roll down the lane, put the shot up. No good.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Nice rebound by Hammon, nice picking roll Sykes couldn't get
it to go church By and Pierre yelling out instructions
as one approaches the mid court line. Backs is way down,
kicks high post to Hammon. Hammon bounced past Cam Badger.
You need to take good care of the basketball, don't

(37:55):
get too fancy and Cam does.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
You know you're up to one, but that's just a
force and a three point shot.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
No good.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
On the other end, I think we're going to get
over the back.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
Cam had got into the bucket, but you're up twenty points,
actually twenty three, and you don't need to drive one
on four to try.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
To get to the bucket and lose the basketball.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
But the Hammond coming out again, Andrew Sakida, Fielwell and
Carte a Leggan, who's been a human dynamo here in
the first half. Off the bench. We'll go back in again.
Minute twenty five. Get it to Kayden Cox, Kwong Miller.
It's going to get a break too, because Caden's going
to bring the ball off the floor, handed out to

(38:41):
Cam Badger way out on the right wing. There he
goes again, oh ain't Pat Beard wants a thirty second
time out. We'll keep it right here. Thirty five to twelve.
Cavaliers up big with a minute thirteen the calves one two, three, four, five.

(39:02):
Six different players have scored here in the first half.
Maybe talking to say, hey, guys, we're playing well and
take nothing away, but you can take the ball in Cooper,
stone King and Cooper when he went to the bucket
for his early points was against the zone. He just

(39:23):
split the zone and got to the hall. Now tight
man to man, and I think that was the path.
I could see him talking to cam Badgers saying, look,
go to the basket, but we don't need to force it.
You don't need to try to go one on three
and split three guys. When we're up with this kind
of lead, get it into stone King, Cooper bias Man
down to the top of.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
The key, kick it off the badger. One O eight
to play till half time. Back to Cayden. Cox Cayden,
it's like he had a little bit of an opening,
but it'll hand it to stone King. Cooper goes to
the bucket dish underneath the netter netter heavy traffic, put
it up an end O a netter in traffic four
for the softwood, tall lanky sophomorere no a netter. Under

(40:04):
a minute to play. Caves with a big, big lead.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
On the way, comings out front, Jordan Bell way out
on the wing, guarded now all top sikes left side.
It goes love it the freshman back to this Ain't
Adams and one of their seniors down the twenty eight
seconds Adams works against Caden Cox.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
They break a guide kidd and try to go back door.
Couldn't get it.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Now on the right side, Riley Cummins down to seventeen seconds,
Comings working for a shot, gets a pick now against
Noahetta throws it back out front all the way down
the lane with a runner up and no good and
that's going to go to the Cavaliers. Good try going
down the lane because Ain't Adams couldn't get it to fall.
Caves only have seven seconds and they have to go

(40:55):
the link to court. McClean will come out with full
court pressure.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
Get it in. Cayton Cox, you got to push it
five seconds down to four.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Cross the timeline all the way down, put it up
and in and he picks up an offensive foul. So
with a tenth of the second he made the shot,
but it's going to be disallowed. You got down the
floor in a hurry, but that's one of those in
college or the NBA, and you got that circle under

(41:24):
the basket.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
That's not a foul because you're not allowed to sit
up in that situation.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
As a clock will buzz, and we ended here at
a halftime intermission at McLean High School, the Calves overcoming
short handedness and some illness and they put thirty seven
on the board to lead it at halftime. Chilli Kathy
thirty seven and the Clean with twelve. We'll take a
halftime break. We'll be back. Take a look at score.

Back as the dance team for McLean High School performing
here at halftime.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Is they chuck out the Cavaliers off to a good
start here at intermission, they have a big lead. They
lead to thirty seven to twelve, only allow on twelve
points on the defensive end and putting up thirty seven
or twenty five point advantage. And last time these two
teams from up to cast kind of did us similar.
I don't know that they were up twenty five and

(44:58):
they kind of let McClean back in the game. But
one thing, Pat Beard can't sub a whole lot to
night because he didn't really have anybody hardly on his
bench able to sub because of illness. But they've done
a nice job so far. Looking at McClean with only
the twelve points, Owen Sykes have him for five. Hat's
in love with the freshman with two, Brandon Green with two,

(45:18):
and then Perry, who got to start as a senior
doesn't normally play a lot. Alex Perry hit the first
points in the game on a three point shot that
not brought the house down, and he has those three
points only twelve year at halftime. Mcclaim ten in the
first quarter, but they only scored two points in that
second quarter for your chillike Anthy Cavaliers. I got six

(45:38):
guys in the scoring column. One Miller has not scored.
I'm sure one has only taken one or two shots.
Cayden Cox on the night just with two. But the
offense has come from Cooper stone King and off the
bench in Carte Leggan. Cooper stone King off to a
great start. He hit three straight drives to the bucket
against his own and then topped that off with two

(46:00):
threes later in the half and he leads all scores
with twelve. As a matter of fact, stone King has
as many points as the entire McClean team with twelve.
Andrew Hammond, I'm sure he's a good bit under the weather.
He's played some tonight. He's hit two threes and he
has six. Cam Badger has three on a nice drive
with the bucket. Carte Liggan, the freshman has been really unbelievable.

(46:24):
He has a lot of energy. He's gotten himself to
the bucket and he's just quicker and stronger underneath rebounding
wise done a great job and he's put in ten
points tonight here at halftime. He and stone King have
twenty two of the thirty seven Nolan Netter with some
action normally a JV played a couple of quarters of
JV tonight the six six sophomore have got him the

(46:46):
ball down low and he's been able twice to get
it in the bucket. So four points for Noan netter
on the night, so Netter with four Liggan with ten
off the bench, fourteen points Badger, three Hamm and six
twelve for stonekings in two for Cos for the Cavaliers
thirty seven to twelve. Don't forget this is the final

(47:07):
regular season game for CHILLACOFEE. If they win tonight, six
to four, conference play would give them sole possession of
third place behind Jackson and fac Champ Miami Trace. It
would also get their overall record to an even five
hundred at eleven and eleven. With a win tonight, it
also builds a little bit of momentum, hopefully for Tuesday night.

(47:29):
They turn right around and they go tournament play. A
little bit different this year better for the Calves. They're
not Division one going to the Central District. They are
in a situation where there are six D three teams
in the Southeast, six in the East, district. Those twelve
teams will deserve one to bring out one district champion.

(47:50):
Although the Southeast goes first and the Calves go up
against Sheridan Thornville Sheridan High School the Generals and that's
at Shila Coofee Tuesday night, I believe slated for seven

so hopefully they can maintain focus and continue to play well.

(50:57):
Two calves and double figures. Carte Legan off the bench

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Second half action and another reminder back with you on
the air at WBX ninety two to seven FM. On
Tuesday night tournament play, the Cats jump into tournament Action
Tuesday get to host a game on Tuesday as they
host Thornville Sheridan High School, and if they would win
that they would get a third match well provided Miami Trade. Well,

(51:30):
I think Miami Trace has the bye, but I think
it's already the winner that plays Miami Trace. So it
would be the third matchup against the Panthers and the
second time those two teams matched up. Miami Trace only
one fifty four to fifty two in a game with
the Catlers. Really I thought had a chance to win.
Well they I think that they did have. I think

(51:51):
it was tied late in the game and Miami Trace
got the final two points. McClane will get the ball
to start the second half. I'm gonna put one of
their seniors, Hayden Angel, back in the game to play
a little bit bit, and I also put Pearl back
in Purri one of their seniors, Angel behind the back,

(52:15):
guarded by Van Millard in the corner to Perry. Perry
gives it back Angel looking for a shot, still dribbling,
Van Miller all over him, and I'll bounce past on
the wing to Owen Sykes.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
I think what Coach Chains did is go back and
go with five seniors to start the third quarter again Angel.

Speaker 3 (52:37):
He'll launch a long three and that's going to be
an airball.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
Pretty good contesting of that shot, wanting to get one
of their seniors to get on the board.

Speaker 3 (52:47):
But that was a little bit off and McClean will
come back.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
Particularly, I think with Angel and Perry in the game,
they're going to have to play a zone. Him on
top of the key. Cayden Cox back to him and
contested three.

Speaker 3 (53:00):
Still got it.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Andrew Hammett three threes tonight, nine points and it gets
the Calves to forty. They leaded forty to twelve. Wide open.
Badger left his man for some reason. Now in the
other end, thought about a three. Cox picks up almost
the loose ball, but now back it goes, give it

(53:23):
to Angel.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
He's going to try another three, and he got it.
And one of their seniors got a.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
Chance back here in the third quarter to play and hits.
The two of their seniors that don't normally play very much.
I've hit threes tonight. Now Stoneking inside the zone, put
it up and fouled before the shot. Cooper was able
to split that zone in the first half three times
for left. That was a little more contested, but he
got fouled just underway in the third quarter. Calves leaded

(53:56):
forty to fifteen and give it to He'll bring it
all the way out on top and now I'll give
it to stone King right corner down baseline, nice feed,
Badger put it up and in great pass by Cayden
Cox Badger with a layup. Nicely done by the Cavaliers
being patient against that zone to get a layup out
of it.

Speaker 3 (54:15):
Forty two to fifteen.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Green right side, another three for Angel, got it again
the Angel, really, I don't think it has hardly played
this year. There's a bad pass by Hammon, but picked
up by Ron Miller and who forced it down inside

(54:42):
for Cox right side, stone King for three, got it
Hooper with fifteen back to Angel. He normally didn't play
quickly to the other end, wide open lay of good.
Calves didn't get down the floor and scoring just sikes.

Speaker 11 (54:59):
Well.

Speaker 2 (54:59):
The cab are continuing to score. But this happened last
time these two teams played. Hammon for three corner got it.
Jets are drilling it. It's twelve for Hammon on four threes.
Forty eight to twenty Tavs need to pick up the
defense a little bit. They've given up three easy shots

(55:20):
the last three times. Now Miller guarding Angel, Angel working
one on one on the baseline, still dribbling backside, feed
down inside, layup is good, easy bucket oh and Sykes
he's got nine. It's very identical to the last two
times these two teams played. When the Calves a little

(55:41):
bit lack a day school on the defense, Cocks wide
open for a fifteen foot jumper, do good battle for
the rebound, Badger has it double team down inside, Cox
back out the stone King three point shots and airball.
The Calves just got a little lack of day school
on defense time. They let McClean back in the game.

(56:04):
Now they's still up twenty six, but they have not
played by They've given up too easy layups and two
threes the last four times. Down and they get Carte Liggan,
who is their energizer, Bunny Tonight certainly back in the game.
Ayden Cox defensively can't make the play hey and he
gets the rebound outlet Wan Miller one all the way

(56:26):
down and puts it up and in nice John Miller's
first two points.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
You get defense there back fifty to twenty two. Four
minutes to play.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Third quarter, buff sided goes that's what when will launch
a three no good and the rebound back up and
end Ohen Psykes is owning down underneath the bucket as
the calf stood there and watched as he put the
rebound back in and he's fouled.

Speaker 16 (57:05):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Now checking back in for the Calves is noa netter
and Hammon will come out, psychs chance for a three
point play the old fashioned way and puts it up
and missed it rebound no a netter fifty to twenty four.
That was by twenty six. They led by twenty five.

(57:26):
One Miller with a quick three no good, but got
his own rebound. Now Miller opened again down under the netter,
back to Carte legging.

Speaker 3 (57:35):
Don't need to be in a hurry.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Stone King thought about a three, goes down to the
baseline double team. Now one Miller runs into the lane
and puts runner.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
Up and in.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
I'm out on the floor and tie a shoe as
Riley Cummins is going to come in and Web comes
out for McLean. Little past midway through the third quarter,
four cabs up of the basketball. Ayden Angel against one Miller.

(58:13):
Angel dumps to the corner of Parry. Shot goes second
three of the night for Perry. Then it's fifty two
to twenty seven. Stone King goes baseline, kicks it to
one Miller one gets into the lane, takes it to
the whole up. He's foult and counted. No one didn't

(58:35):
score the first staff. He has three drives to the bucket.
Here in the second half and it's back to fifty
four to twenty seven. The plaint only scored two points
in the second quarter. They've scored fifteen here in the third.
And I complain about the Cabs. They're playing pretty well,
but defensively they've become really lack. A daisy colde with

(58:57):
a big lead free throw good by Miller, gives him seven.
Quickly down to the other end. Angel picked up by
Jan Miller open again, nobody guarding him. He missed the
three nice rebound carte legging. They want to push it,
get it up to Cooper. Stone King Cooper all the
way to the bucket, put it up. He's found and
he'll shoot two. Cooper in the act of shooting will

(59:27):
shoot two. Got stone King with fifteen on the night
Caps have three players in double figures.

Speaker 3 (59:37):
That's Cooper's free throw good.

Speaker 2 (59:43):
In our substitution, Zeene Adams in for McClean. Cooper's second
free throw. That's up, but that's good seventeen for stone
King Cabs up by thirty two. Thirty five to play

(01:00:04):
third quarter. Jayden Cox backs off of Riley Cummins. He's
now in the game. Someone's crossover drib. We'll still working there,
trying to set a pick in the right corner. Get
it to Perry. Thought about another three. No Netter out
on him now. Now he gets by Noah Nett a
shot up in the foul. That's part of the development

(01:00:38):
that Noah Netter is gonna need.

Speaker 11 (01:00:41):
Me.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
He should play a lot of Arcy next year. He'll
get a little bigger and stronger. I'm sure it's just
got to be a little bit and when you're that
tall but quicker. But he got beat by bye Man.
It probably weighs two hundred and thirty pounds, buying. Noah's
a little upset with himself. This free throw by Perry,
they'll a a second. I mean know it's tall enough,

(01:01:03):
you've blocked the shot from behind. But they said he
got into the body. Noah kind of threw his hands
out looking at Pat Beard's second three pro good Erry
with seven phity seven twenty eight coming up on two
ten to play third quarter on the wing. Substitution out
top of the key Liggan now Noah Netta inside, turn

(01:01:25):
around jump or missed it and rebound McLean.

Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
Levi Moss into the game for.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Chiliicathe Comings drives inside, still driving inside, goes into the
corner to Angel Angel double team throws it and that's
going to stay touched by the Cavaliers. Fams are gonna
get more substitutions and as his Cavon Pleasant into the game.

(01:01:54):
So the Cavs now with two or three JV players
that never played varsity, but again there depleted on the
bench a bit with illness tonight, stone King guarding Cummings,
goes into the corner. Nice defense by Levi Moss. He
knocks it out of bounds. And then at thirty nine

(01:02:16):
and the remaining the third quarter, Angel.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Out on top.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
I'll reverse the way out on top in the middle
of the floor of the tiger face Bradley Cummings guarded
by stone King, coming still dribbling, almost lost his Dribble
now goes into the corner to Perry again. Perry guarded,
gets at the Sikes, guarded by Pleasant. Now back in
the corner, Saint Adams will launch a three and got it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:49):
First.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
Points to the night for Zaane Adams, one of their seniors.
Now that the other end Liggan is found, back to
a twenty six point advantage was twenty five at the
end of the quarter. Paid an Angel checks out Calves,

(01:03:12):
throw it in the corner. Stone King splits two defenders,
kicks it out. That's caveon Pleasant for three. It's an airball,
but it bounces back to Levi Moss top of the key.
Pleasant again in trouble, back out the stone King. Stone King,
driving inside loses the basketball. Ooh, knocked out by McClain,
but the official is going to give it to McClain

(01:03:34):
fifty five seconds now opened his bell on top Perry.
Perry bounces it inside, knocked away while the Calves picked

(01:03:54):
up down underneath the Moss.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
Moss is in trouble, has to throw it back out
on top of the stone King.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Stone King splits two defenders, put it up no good
battle for the rebound.

Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
Cooper gets it back. Levi Moss for three.

Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
Got it.

Speaker 10 (01:04:14):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
One of the JV players gets a bucket.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Now Bell working down on the end thirteen seconds, Bell
looking for a pick, hands it out to zant Adams
and there's a foul.

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
Cavaliers looked like one of the Calves lostcar balance and
ran into the hand of the basketball. Not a shooting
fowl yet checking in, Hudson loved freshman will check in
and Perry checks out for in. The plank.

Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
Downs ahead by twenty nine. Eight seconds remain in the
third quarter, but the Calves can get a stop here.
They've got Kavon Pleasant, Noah Netter, Levi Moss, r j
Leggan Stone King's the only starter. Los Ball got knocked
Awayiam moment Charlie. Now throw them back out in look
away on a three. No good comes up short. Third

(01:05:08):
quarter comes to an end three quarters down here at McLain.
The Calves on top sixty to thirty one, and we'll
be back with fourth quarter action after this time out.

Speaker 17 (01:05:17):

Speaker 8 (01:05:49):
Since the day I.

Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
Stopped drinking, my life has gotten better and better. I
can't take any credit for it. It just seems that
without alcohol, I think better. I'm more careful with money,
I watch what I say. I don't get into trouble
like I did when I'm drinking. It's scary trying to
walk through life alone. Today, I have that very distinct
feeling that I don't ever have to be alone again.
Alcoholics anonymous it works.

Speaker 5 (01:06:08):
Look us up for local information about alcoholics. Anonymous called
seven four zero seven seven four two six four six.

Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Craig Macon back hoo, did we start to finally eight minutes?

Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
Calves in control right now and they'll go ahead and
get their all their starters other than carte legging back in.
One of those young guys played live third quarter but
back in with Wan Miller, Caden Cox, Hammon, Cam Badger
wide open in the lane, turn around, jumpers up short,
No good by Cam. He was wide open from ten feet,

(01:06:44):
shot it short quickly to the other end. Sykes drives
to the bucket and block by Cam. Badger joined us late.
The Calves led eighteen to ten at the end the
first quarter, thirty seven to twelve and a half time
and again the Calves having some illness tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
They've got guys that aren't feeling real well.

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
A couple of those JV players are getting to play
tonight something and I'll give.

Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
Them a few subs. Now the Calves are in a
zone bell inside.

Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
Cox almost had to steal kick it back to the
deep corner for three no good, nice rebound Caden Cox.
Caden is going to come all the way down, dish
it inside up. Been good nights passed by Cox, Carte
legging with the lega and Carte has twelve beautiful pass
by Kat and Cox has only got a couple of
points tonight, but he's played extremely well. He's probably had

(01:07:41):
three or four assists to set up layups today.

Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
Zaint Adams. But in the fourth quarter here as they're
back in action Tuesday and tournament play, trying to finish
us off with their eleventh one of the season and
give them third place in the FAC at six and
four inside, Fee knocked away linking with the steel he's
double team and he's found from behind.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
He got hacked pretty good. It will be obviously the
first foul the fourth quarter, not a shooting foul. Happened
in the backcourt, you know, one Miller brings it up.
I would guess the coach here is gonna let these
guys play maybe four minutes of this quarter and then

(01:08:28):
get a few subs in Jayden Cox against the zone,
cross court pass, Miller, don't need to be in a hurry.

Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
Hammond back out to one Miller top of the.

Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
Key, bad pass and fight for the basketball, taking away
Carte didn't have the chance there for that and a
blocking foul and one Miller.

Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
So not a shooting foul. Substitution and Mayden Angel, who's gotten.

Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
To play a lot tonight, hit two threes in the
third quarter for McLean, not normally a starter, one of
their seniors here on senior night.

Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
He comes back in the game. We got tie shoe.

Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
Easy to point out, Hayden, he's got lime green tennis
shoes on the stands out, throws the ball all the
way into the backcourt. Owen Sykes goes back to chase
it down. He'll bring it back up for the Tigers.
Top of the key Calves who set in his zone.
Now part of that, I think you. Now they get
high posts right side. Angel fires up with three. No good,

(01:09:37):
long rebound came off to McLain on the baseline reverse layup.
No good, badger couldn't get the rebound. But it's going
to go to Chilicaufe anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
And now with six.

Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
Minutes to go in the game, the Calves are going
to put in quite a few subsah. I mean it
might be a little bit early. So the Cavs have
Noah Netter in the game. Carte Ligan stays in one
Miller will stay in, but Levi Moss in Levi right side,

(01:10:14):
double team, high post, Carte Liggan back on top as
k'von Pleasant is back in. So this is almost all jvs.
Moss thought about a shot inside to Noah Netter. He
was open and now Pleasant inside with the basketball and
Levon's athletic he hasn't almost tell he hasn't played as

(01:10:34):
much basketball. Noa Netta really had to get shot on
the low block and tried to give it to Kveon
Kvon got tied up, so they fount him throw it
out on top. Carte Ligan hands it to one Miller
one right side, Levi Moss fight against the zone and

(01:10:57):
now Levi almost has it taken away for of him.
He needs to get rid of it. And now foul
give the bow up Moss at his pocket pick. You
need to give it up to Jan Miller and I
think he want's telling me that's a substitution for McClean
as we're down under five and a half to play

(01:11:20):
in this one Miller, Levi Moss right wing out on
top pleasant caveon back to one on the left side.
A bad pass but picked up there by Noah Netter.
That's Carte legging to the hole, tipped up and in

(01:11:43):
nice job. Noa Netter. That's going to count. I believe
it will count. Netter now has six in the game
and he's going to go to the bucket. Came from
the back side, tipped it in. He got submarine underneath
as he was tipping it in, and that was the call.
And he's got a free throw. One Fardela and he
comes up short on it tipped up in the air,

(01:12:05):
and I think it's gonna go to McClean. No misses
the foul, so I know it was six points in
the ballgame, sixty four.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
To thirty one.

Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
Caves up by thirty three points, and we're under five
minutes left of the ballgame, trying then side double team,
and I think Moss is good. Levi Moss is aggressive.
When you're watching in the JV game, that's the fourth

(01:12:37):
team foul. Riley Cummins is gonna check back in for McClean,
but you're just joining us the Calves. This varsity game,
Cavon pleasant and I think he's hardly ever played varsity.
Levi Moss has never been in a varsity game. Quick three,
no good rebound, Levi Moss. Noah Netter who has played

(01:12:57):
some varsity, but not a lot. And that's because the
Cabs have a big lead. No it down inside, wide
open cart legging, nice pass, noa Netter and Carte I
believe with a career high for the freshman with fourteen
under four minutes Netter and the Cabs going to pick
up a foul. So thing foul's unpleasant, Coach Beard saying

(01:13:30):
just stay in front of the guy.

Speaker 3 (01:13:34):
No foul.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
To the free throw line will be Brandon Green. He's
got him down for two points tonight. You'll shoot two. Yeah,
the first one up in perfect three for Green. That's
the first point. I guess the funk. We do have
a running clock then Green second free throw is good.

(01:14:04):
So down to three thirty to play running clock. I
think it would stop if we get back under thirty again.
Greenfield will stay McLean in their zone. Moss top of
the key. Almost a bad pass by Noe Netter back
out the moss out on top left side. Cavon Pleasant,
he's gonna launch a three, and it's an airball to

(01:14:28):
the other end, loose basketball and I'm not sure why
Cartie Leggan didn't pick it up.

Speaker 3 (01:14:35):
But McLean will get it back launch three. Good. That's
Angel again and gives him nine three threes for Angel.

Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
On the other end, Cavon Pleasant in trouble, misses, delay up,
put it back up, got it to go and he's fouled.

Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
Caveon will go to the foul line. Now sixty eight
to thirty six.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Clock running clock at the advantage, down under two thirty
to play in the game, and cave On with one
free throw, so he's on the book. I think maybe
his first farsity points of his career. Free thow got
it out of way.

Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
Cave On.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
Three point plays, trying to get straight who they're guarding.
Three point shot which almost banked in and Noah Netter
gives it back. Three point shot again, three point shot again,

(01:15:50):
no good. Try one more time, no good, and I
put the layout. Jeremy Webb, a senior.

Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Storing there.

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Minute twenty nine to go and Levi Moss loses the
basketball down to Angel layup good. You can double figures
with eleven. The worst thing is at now under thirty,
so no more running clock as the Caps will have

(01:16:33):
the basketball.

Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
Bought to. Levi Moss thought about a three back to
one Miller.

Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
Minute ten Carte Liggan, Dish's right side back out the miller,
Levi Moss top of the key down under Lee is
up in Carte Ligan with another two sixteen for Carte
Liggan seventy one forty under a minute to play in
this one now Pierriy deep corner shot, no good, fight

(01:17:08):
for the rebound grab by McLean back on top to Cummings.
Forty seconds Riley kicks the corner. Piri with another three,
no good rebound, Cavaliers Pleasant hands it to Jan Miller.
He'll walk it up, and we're thirty seconds left in
this one seventy one forty caves by thirty one. Now

(01:17:35):
some reason coming fouled Van Miller. I guess they want
to get some subs in for McClean. Okay, I think
they're going to bring their seniors out of the game.
Nice hand by the crowd here McLean High School, Von Miller,

(01:18:00):
and we'll go to the line.

Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
One did not score in the first half, he has
seven here in the second half, his free throw up
a good. Miller with eight.

Speaker 2 (01:18:11):
And mcalfs now with seventy two points on the night,
and all the senior from McLean exiting the lineup. Twenty
three and a half seconds now, we're ready to go.
One will get the second found shot. This will give
one nine on the night. There's a lot of people

(01:18:31):
in the scoring call and one second free throw got
good night for one Miller nine all in the second
half of the senior Twenty one seconds to go. Paul
brings it up. Excuse me, Belle go to the right wing.
McLean down to twelve seconds, they'll launch another three. This
one no good rebound carte liggan and that should do it.

(01:18:53):
You'll hand it to one Miller. McLean's just going to
walk off the floor two seconds one and that's the
ball game. Cavaliers finished the season at eleven and eleven,
and they finished third in the FAC with a six
and four mark. And they go on the road tonight
and offensively won all defensively too, but a great game
for them tonight. A little shorthanded with a lot of illness,

(01:19:16):
but they come away winning it. Seventy three to forty
are final Cavaliers on top here on the road tonight.
Welcome back, and we'll take a postgame look and take
a look at the final scoring Cavaliers win.

Glad to have you along tonight, and a big night
for the Cavaliers. One two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
Nine Cavaliers scored in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:22:29):
Three and double figures. They put up seventy three.

Speaker 2 (01:22:32):
They win it by thirty three points seventy three to
forty Oprah McLain and finish their regular season eleven and
eleven and six and four third place in the fac
Well look first up McLain who finishes zero to ten
in conference play, and I believe they are now eight
and thirteen overall. Sant Adam's one of their seniors three points.

(01:22:54):
Riley Cummins, a senior, did not score in the game. Actually,
there are two guards comings in bell dula scoring. Neither
one of them scored. I'm not sure the Belts took
hardly any shots tonight. Another senior, Owen Sykes, in double figures.
Two tigers and double figures. Sykes had eleven. Hudson Love
of a freshman with two. Brandon Green, another senior, he
got four. Another senior Pierry, and that is Alex Pearry.

(01:23:21):
Perry wound up with seven on the night. Jeremy Webb,
a senior with two points and Angel that's Hayden Angel,
a senior.

Speaker 3 (01:23:31):
He wound up in double figures.

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
He had three threes in a two for eleven points
and really coach Jared Haynes and McLean a lot tonight
played a lot. Now some of his senior start, but
he played several seniors that don't normally play a lot,
and he was more than willing to put them in
down twenty plus to play a lot. There and a
lot of them, including Angel I don't think plays much

(01:23:53):
at all, wound up in double figures with eleven points.

Speaker 3 (01:23:56):
That was nice to see.

Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
Actually, Jeremy Webb game had not scored one of their seniors.
He shot a couple threes, the Cavaliers kept getting the
rebound and giving it back to him, and finally, after
missing three or four threes, he just shot a layup.

Speaker 3 (01:24:10):
So he did get as a.

Speaker 2 (01:24:11):
Senior in his scoring column. Nice sportsmanship shown there by
the Cavesse. Look at the Cavs scoring in the ballgame.
If I'd have told you coming into the game that
Cayden Cox would only score two points, I would think,
uh oh, But he didn't need to. He didn't really
shoot that much. Made some great passes, but he wound
up with just two points tonight. Noah Netter, the sophomore
off the bench, and I believe that should be a

(01:24:31):
varsity career high for Noah Nettter with six.

Speaker 3 (01:24:36):
Off the bench. JV.

Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Flair, Levi Moss with three cavon Pleasant off I think
these will be their first varsity points. Pleasant with three
points on the night as well one Miller nine points
all in the second half. It was Andrew Hammon who
probably was one of the sicker players tonight, with four
threes and twelve points. Cam Badger with five double figures

(01:24:58):
for the Cavs tonight. They had a twelve from him,
and as I told you, Cooper stone King scored early
a lot. He wound up with seventeen. He really missed
very few shots tonight at all. He had seventeen and
Carte Liggan with a career high for the freshman and
as well as everybody played, carte Liggan had. He just

(01:25:19):
had an extra energy about him tonight and he just
controlled everything inside every loose ball, a lot of rebounds,
took it strong to the hole and carte Liggan with
sixteen points, a career high for the freshman he had
sixteen stone King seventeen in himmen out of twelve nine
guys for the Cavaliers in the scoring column tonight. So

(01:25:41):
I'm sure, Coach Beer, we're not going to buy the
coach Beier tonight. It's rainy and foggy. I think they
want to get back. But Coach Beer, congratulations the Cavs.
They get a win tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
Again.

Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
They were a little shorthanded, as I can tell you.
Levi Moss Caveon Pleasant who have never really I don't
think stepped on the varsity floor had to be subs tonite.
And it was a great game offensively, seventy three on
the board for Chillacathe and they wind up the season
eleven and eleven. Next action for the Cavaliers right back
here on the Home of the Caves WBX, next Tuesday

(01:26:13):
night at Hatton Memorial Gymnasium. I believe it's a seven
o'clock seven pm start for a tournament game Division three,
and that will be next Tuesday night. Thornville shared in
Chilla Coathy, you get to tournament time winner, you advance,
lose your seasons over.

Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
And good to see the Cavs have a good game tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
Heading to the tournament on Tuesday, thanks to Nathan Back

Speaker 3 (01:26:38):

Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
Shane Combs will be back with me as we bring
you tournament action from Hatton Memorial again Tuesday night, probably
on the air a little bit before seven, about ten
till and tip off scheduled at seven pm. Well that's
it from McClain High School. Cavaliers get a big, big
win tonight. Final score from Greenfield tonight, Chilli Cothee seventy three,

(01:27:00):
McLean forty again. Thanks for listening in all of our
great sponsors. We'll see you on Tuesday night. Until then,
