Speaker 1 (00:25):
I saw Haley, good morning, good morning. So are your
kids with you? No?
Speaker 2 (00:33):
So I heard that the Easter Bunny was in the
in your office today.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (00:37):
And I just wanted him to do a shout out
to my three grandkids. There's Andrea Mason and Giovanni. Andre
Mason and Giovanni. That's what you said. So I got
big air. If I can hear really good? Would you
like a joke that you can tell your grandkids on Easter?
Speaker 1 (00:58):
I would love a joke.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Where does the Easter Bunny go if he loses his tail?
Where would he go? A retail store?
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Kill me? I Haley, have a great day. Thank you
for listening. Bye, I say we just roll into our
afterwards podcast sound good? Call? You want to try that
video I was talking about be funny, and it'd be funny.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
And then we're gonna do the video of hip is
injured and you're gonna blame me if it gets more injured.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Okay, I'm gonna blame bet because we're gonna go run
into the street after that.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
We are.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
So it's something I'm kind of dealing with right now
that's literally happening as we speak. It's one of those
situations again where it's out of my comfort zone and
and I don't really know how to handle it. And
I think for you guys, it's not a problem, but
this is something for me that stresses me out. But
I'm pushing through it like' when I do it. And
it starts off from when I went to Atlanta and
I was with this I don't know what you'd call him, entrepreneur,
(02:00):
motivational speaker. He's a very successful business Man's name is
Jesse Itzler. And I was with him in his house
and we were doing SUNA and hot TUBSNA and hot
tubs on a hot tub. There's a handful of us
there and all the people that were there are in
a group chat, and I kind of become friends a
little bit, right, and one of the guys that was
there was already friends with Jesse Itzler, and when he
(02:20):
found out that I lived in Phoenix, he connected me
with this other guy. He goes, he says a DM,
and he goes, hey, John Jay, I have a friend
of mine named whatever his name is. I want to
tell you just yet, and he goes, you guys should connect,
and I was like okay, and I look and that
guy started following me on Instagram. So I followed that
(02:40):
guy back on Instagram, and I'm watching this guy and
he's really successful businessman, he's verified, he's a fitness freak,
he's tremendously successful. And him and I go back and forth.
He's so friendly, this guy, right, so we go back
and forth, back and forth. Let's get together for lunch.
You have to get lunch. Ye, So this is now
week and a half goes by and he in the DM.
He gives me his self phone number, but I keep
(03:01):
dming it like I feel like going from DM to
cell phone is a pretty big stacks and pretty quick,
pretty quick. But I and I thought, man, and also
I'm not a tech guy, so whenever, you know, I
don't want to, like, you know, you gotta hold the
phone number down to highlight it, and then you got
to put it in your phone, and it's like a
whole thing, you know. So I just kind of like,
I'm not gonna put in my phone. There's so many
(03:21):
people's phone numbers I have that I don't have locked
in my phone because it's I'm too lazy. So I'm like,
I'm going to connect. I saw this guy he gots
into Coplunge every day with his kids and he's he's
jogging every day, and I really like this guy's feed.
He's really interesting. And then I saw another video that
he posted where he has uh this garage and in
the garage it's like he's got all these collectibles like
(03:44):
Michael Jackson's moon Man, Like yeah, yeah, He's got so
many things that are of value. That is just so interesting.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Is he like a motivational speaker too? Is he like
a Jesse? It'sler.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I think he's a guy that I think he's I
don't know if he's publicly a motivational speaker, but generally speaking,
he's he post stuff about running and stuff. But like
when I look at like his Uh there's a moon man.
I'm looking at the video. He's got a huge garadge
at all these cars in a big safe. He's got
the first Batman comic, he's got Oh wow, he's got
all these things. He's really really interesting. So yesterday I
(04:20):
was at some downtime, I was getting an IV drip
and I thought, I'm gonna text him, right, not DM him,
text him. So I texted him and I was like, hey, man,
you know, when do we get together for lunch? Know,
I'm free after one right on days whatever? And I
thought three weeks from now, you know, two weeks from now.
And he and I wake up this morning. This is
(04:41):
This was yesterday around five and I and I've seen
him post a couple of videos since then, and he
hasn't responded to my text and I thought, oh, man,
I wonder if like I'm put on the back burner
now because I didn't respond quick enough or something. I'm like, oh,
bumped down. I'm like, okay, whatever. So when I got
this morning, no messages from him, nothing, right, and then
he texts me like five minutes ago and he's like, uh,
(05:03):
this is exactly what he said. He goes, my dog,
what's your schedule like today?
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I scheduled today, totally got nothing.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
You got your hip workout, And I'm like, I literally
can be anywhere at one o'clock today. I got nothing
going on, nothing, And I was just kind of like
and then and then I text back, I could be
anywhere at one and then my stomach just goes. And
so now I haven't heard back from yet. But whatever
he wants to meet.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Let me help you out. Let me help you out
with this ultra friendly he was in that like a
great guy. So he's going to ask good questions and
have great answers. So you don't have to do a
whole lot with a guy like that. That's what's going
to be great about this lunch.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Okay, But at the same time, I think I've told
you last week I was with the U A basketball coach,
Tommy Lloyd, right, and I was. I spent a couple
of hours with him, and he was such a nice guy.
And one of the things he did, and I think,
I don't know if I said it's on the air
or I said it off there. I said it to you.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
I know that, Rich, Yeah, you said it on there.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
I did say on there. Yeah, like, I've never had
anybody that was like if you want to call them
a celebrity or something that like asked me questions about
me before. I can't think it's very very far in
few between it's ever happened, and Tyler load is asking
me questions and I didn't have the answers, Like I
wasn't proposed.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Oh, I wonder what kind of question he asked that
you couldn't answer, like, that's.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
One of my favorite you know, I'm in the music business.
So he was asked me what time I wake up
in the morning, all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
They don't answer.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
So then he was like, he's like, uh, so it's
your favorite concert you've ever been to?
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Great question.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I was like, uh, He's like, who are your favorite artists?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
I can answer?
Speaker 1 (06:34):
I went I went to like, I said, you two
the band you two, and.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
That's not your favorite? Your favorite was Lionel Richie, My
favorite concert, Yeah, my first concert was Lionel Richie. Oh,
your favorite was George Michael.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
But then I also said, you know and like to me,
this is and then these are my responses. At the
iHeart Radio Music Festival a couple years ago, the band
Tiers for Fears came out. They were in an eighties band,
and I thought they were so good. I was so
blown away by them and that that was one of
my answers, which I think if you say tears for
Fears in a rock and roll world, you kind of like.
He was like, oh, because then he goes into Beastie Boys, right,
(07:03):
he goes into tom Patty. That's what Tommy Lloyd went into. Anyway,
I didn't like my answer, and I've been thinking about
it since, so like, now I'm going to see him.
I'm going to see him. I might see him today,
I might. I know I'm going to see him next Wednesday.
So I'm gonna be like, I'm gonna change my answer.
My favorite thing yourself. Yeah, I know, but that's where
my head's going. Anyway. I'm trying to like, so if
I meet this guy today at lunch, this different guy, like,
(07:25):
as soon as I sit down, by the way, my
favorite band are like, I'm gonna start telling him. No,
here's what you have to do. I have a solution.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Just wear an ear piece and have Rich on the
phone and he can answer the questions for you. There
it is telling the YouTube or YouTube Son Devil Stadium show.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Delay. Every time I ask you a question.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Like, you know, let me think about that for a second,
because that's a really pointant question.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
I want to give you a, you know, a really
thoughtful answer on that, and by then Rich has already
answered it in your phone.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
The Fish World my favorite concert, I think in the
last I don't know how many years is so put
politically incorrect, I think right now, it's also so random.
It was when Kanye Kanye came to the Footprint Center
and sold that Footprint Center and just played tracks off
his phone. I thought it was freaking amazing and I
don't know, like that's not really a concert, but it.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Was like a listening party like Billy Eilish does that
a lot.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I thought that was so incredible when I went this
is obviously I think it was before he went out
went unhinged this time around?
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Are you doing that because temy Lloyd said Beastie Boys
and you wouldn't have something kind of cool?
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Because that honestly was my that's my honest opinion. I
want to say Travis Scott, but I didn't go to
Travis Scott Dutch did. I thought The Drake Show was
pretty good. I don't have I don't have like it's
you two. It was a great one. Cheers for Fears
is great. When you and I saw hollid Os, that
was amazing. Everyone thought we were a gay couple.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yeah, well that's because you kept introducing me. He's your partner. Yeah, sweet,
like a total yacht rock show. And oh yeah, my
partner friends playing one of his guitars down there, because
one of my guitars. What's on stage at the holiday show?
Speaker 3 (09:07):
When you do say that I don't have no contact, it.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Is, it's my part of friends. It's so stupid. Remember
when I was saying along, dude.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
He's mad. It's such a good joke. I'm I'm literally
gonna text Tommy Lloyd and I'm gonna be like, hey,
I've been thinking about this.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
For a while, why don't we get him on the show.
I'm gonna be like, my favorite, why don't we put
him on the show just to tell him that right now?
What him on?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Right now? Right now?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Can you ask him to bring him on into while
he's at it?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I mean, it's it's morning, but he seems like get
up and get after a kind of cat.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Okay, hold on, hold on. Should I text him and
ask him we know?
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Or just call him?
Speaker 1 (09:46):
What if that ruin is everything?
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Just call him on your FaceTime him right now?
Speaker 3 (09:50):
He's like this guy calling me like.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Let's see what quick?
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Let me see let me pick up I want you
to and tell him you're too busy.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Hello.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
So do you text him and be like, hey, that
was me that called you, or do you just leave
it alone?
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Uh? Oh, I don't know. I can do both. I
could just say oops, butt dial because he butt ouled
me the other day.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
But from the iHeart, he's too smart for that.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
I just had just called you about something I just realized.
So he doesn't get up to like eleven darted, that
would be't so funny. I got the stress of new friends.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
I think you're gonna do fine today at one o'clock.
You got nothing going on?
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Well, he's talked about three different people. We just talked
about three different things. We just talked about this new
guy at this friend of mine, which I'll maybe tell
you about Monday if I go out with them. And
then there's Tommy Lloyd, and then there was who else? Oh,
then it was me going to that event, right.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
And Jesse it'sler guy. I looked him up. He was
like it said, entrepreneur, author and rapper.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
He first became famous for he was a rapper. He
wasn DMC's manager.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Is his wife's famous because Stacy, my wife knew exactly his.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Wife created spanks.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Oh yeah, she's like.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Okay now boss. Yeah. And he owns like he's a
co owner of the Atlanta Hawks. Like that's super dope,
I know.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
And he's a really great guy. I'm gonna be with him.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Even though they just lost May sixth.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
He'll becoming a town. We're gonna get a smoothie anyway. Anyway,
that's behind the scenes. Maybe we'll call if you listen
to podcast, maybe we'll call Tomm Lloyd live on the
radio or part two of the podcast. It's afterwards. John
