Melissa recognizes another amazing Chicagoland teacher!

All right, it's time. Every Friday we call a teacher
with our friends at Visit Florida and we salute them.
They get two hundred and fifty bucks. They call fire
for this huge trip for taking to the Low's Miami
Beach Hotel this summer. All right, right now, I am
calling Tracy Murdoch. Good morning. Is this you? It is me?

had to call and stock you because we do this
thing called a teacher salute every Friday. We get thousands
of emails about amazing educators and staff and thank you
for being a fifth grade teacher at Meridian Middle School.
You're amazing, so thank you. I'm going through here, Tracy,
and I'm literally like, oh, there's an entry, Tracy Murdoch.

There's another entry, Tracy Murdoch. Tracy Murdoch, Tracy Murdoch, Tracy,
You're kitty. Oh my gosh, Tracy, you are in here
so many times that I was like, I need to
meet the lady you. Oh, thank you. You have so
many people sending emails and they say things like I'm
nominating this teacher. Not only she been teaching for twenty

five years, she's been a public school Catholic school teacher.
Helps with after school programs like student council, theater, volleyball.
She spends thousands of her own dollars into making classrooms
different themes every year. She's not only top fifth grade,
but computer classes, fourth grade, early education. She is truly
the best teacher ever. Oh this one said she's my

mom and I love her dearly.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Oh yeah, that's Emily, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Emily, Okay, well, Emily is just one of like tons.
They love you. You're in here over and over again. And
Melissa is actually thirty one years Oh wow, well, I
mean they love you. They say things like serving, caring,
devoted a huge heart for her kids. I'm gonna cry,
always wants the best for them, genuine, compassionate, A plus teacher,

I am so excited to let you know that you

And I you know you always say like once you're
my student, you're always my student, no matter how.

Old you are, no matter where you are, what walk
of life you're in. I have some kiddos that I
still talk with who are in their mid thirties.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
From my very first class of students, and it's funny because.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
They still call me missus Murdoch. I'm like, listen, you've
graduated from calling me missus Murdoch to Tracy. It's okay,
but you know how hard that is, Tracy, you know
it is. It is one girl, one girl. Her name
is Barbie. She's like, sorry, It'll always be missus Murdoch.
I know, right, it has to be my Bert Rhodes.
My teachers like call me Bert. I'm like, okay, mister Rhodes, okay.
