Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh yesos everybody where shows you see the other day
wrapper Flavor Flave gave an Olympic athlete her own bronze
clock necklace full of diamonds. So the girl that came
in like third in the Olympics and then they took
the medal away, they gave it back, and then they
took it away again because like the appeal was a

(00:22):
minute later, some ridiculous thing. And she was very sad
because you would be sad. So that's a nice thing.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Yes, and Flavor Flave, that big old claw gets huge.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Talk to Flave and see if he's got any like
CMA things he could throw our way.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah, I'll ask him. You know, I have his direct
phone number. I'll call him off for the show.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
See if you think this guy's got a lawsuit. A
Florida man who sold his eighty five million dollar mansion
down in Miami is suing the real estate agency because
they did not disclose to him that the guy that
was buying his home or wanted to buy it was Bezos.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
You can't sue because of that, Like, I mean, why
does it matter?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Oh, it matters because the owner of the list company
assured this guy that it was not Besos, the owner
and founder of Amazon. Now if you got if you
got jet Besos wanting your house, you can negotiate a
whole lot tougher.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Well I understand that, so, yes, I guess he does.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Have a point.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I want nine hundred million dollars baso.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Yeah, that's right, and a trip in the rocket.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
You got, and I wo my own island and a
w own butler.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
That's right. And don't be a knucklehead next time you're
on a plane. This guy acted like a fool on
a plane and the pilot had to divert what you
hear about, you know, every couple weeks, every month. So
they have fined him over five thousand dollars to pay
for the extra fuel that the jet had to use.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
As he should because don't be a knucklehead.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Exactly you know what you could do with five thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yes, you could have hired a private jet to fly
you anywhere, and then you could act like a fool
in your own little plane.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Exactly right, What a big waste of money?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Come on, man, come on man.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Entertainment time ninety six point nine coming up, just a
couple of minutes. Entertainment time Maty six point nine, Where
do we begin?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I just love stories like this, Paul shadd Whenever God
puts you at the right place at the right time.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
There was a woman and it's sound sad.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
She was on the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge and she was
about to jump. It just so happens that Jon Bon
Jovie was right around the corner filming a music video.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
He sees all this.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Going on, walks over to the woman and convinces her
not to jump. He gets her on the other side
of the bridge, he gives her a big old hug
and basically saves her life in the video.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Man, it'll bring you to tears.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
That is a great story and really good that it
wasn't David Lee Roth.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
That's top.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
The congratulations to Rascal Flats Joe Don Rooney. He's shared
on social media this weekend. He is now three years
sober and that's a big thing to celebrate.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
So congratulations.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah. No, no, If you're headed out to Vegas and
you want to see Garth Brooks, you better hurry up
and schedule those dates because Garth just announced the final
three weekends of his long running residency out of Caesar's Palace.
Now the final concerts begin late February and they end

(03:15):
in early March.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
You got.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
It's ty.

Speaker 2 (03:20):

this morning.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You don't want to miss it.

put into your hands. Your chance to win is coming
up at seven point thirty on ninety six point nine
in the cat.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Kinds of good stuff, so good.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Good feeling.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I have really good news.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I bring good news ill a good time.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
This is good news, good news this morning. It is
so nice to see a young person do something that
you can tell they're going to have a nice life
because of a good.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Heart, especially when they're in middle school. Eleven year old
Anderson Cook. He lives in Charlotte Paul. He's always had
a passion for cooking and helping others. So when he
was seven, he started Cook's Cafe, and he said the
first year he kept all the money for himself.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
This is where the story gets good. And then his
heart was touched and he made a revelation.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yeah, he said his class would on a field trip
to loafes and fishes.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
It's now known as Nourish Up.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
They offer a weekly food pantry to support hungry families
in the community.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
He said.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
After he went on the field trip, it completely changed
his life and now he donates all the money to
this nonprofit.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
He's like a little chef boy. Oh boy, yes he is.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Last year, he said, was his first year breaking one k.
As he says it, he donated one thousand, seven hundred
and thirty six dollars, which is incredible.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Big cat. Pat on the back to Anderson. Way to go,
my friend. And anytime you know of good news like this,
let us know.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah, you can send us a top back on the
iHeartRadio app free in the app store. Just hit the
red top back MIC Top.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Five time ninety six y nine. The cat weather looks
like most of us are gonna get some rain here today,
probably in the Charlotte area starting about lunchtime. That tropical
mess is sitting off for Charleston right now. We'll keep
an eye on that. Hello, it's Paul shadd Oh.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
It's gonna be a great day, Happy Monday.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
At fairly great day if you win those sold out
Cody Johnson tickets coming up a few minutes seven thirty
cat fight will do that looks like another attempt on
former President Trump's life. So this guy, he's down there
and he's like inside a bush and he's got his
muzzle sticking out the other side of the bus, getting
ready to pull the trigger. When Secret Service shoots at

(05:34):
this bush and this guy he drops his gun hops
in his getaway car, but they eventually catch him.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Yeah, what a dummy.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I mean, the former president is just trying to play
golf and you're hiding out in the bush. He was
only three hundred to five hundred yards away from former
President Trump.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
That's scary.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Hopefully you didn't get caught up in this. CMPD held
a speed check operation last week. Over one hundred drivers
they pulled over. If you've ever driven around Park Road,
people fly down the road.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Oh man, I.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Know, I don't understand why it's thirty five miles an hour,
but I use the ways app. I'm so thankful for
it because it does alert you when there are police
in the area.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, how about slowing down?

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Okay, coming from the guy that has don't you like
one of those police detectors in your car?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Like there's speeding detectors.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
I've got an actual radar dish on the top of
the truck, one of those old style ones are about
seven feet wide.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I've seen your little police detector in there.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yeah, it's a radar detectors, a police detector. I want
to know if anybody's checking speeds on pitchers throwing a
baseball so I can pull in. I always enjoy watching it.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah, that's what that's for.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
About this. The Rowayne County Fair weather permitting starts today,
opens about five o'clock. Nothing like a good county fair.
You got our hometown tour getting underway this Thursday.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
We're going to be at the Hornet's Nest Auto Fair
at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ten to noon.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Come hang out with us.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
We'd love to see you. That is stop number one.
Hopefully will be near you pretty soon. Chris Pusher one
up in Watkins, Glennie yesterday to finally get a road
course win man. We've been so close so many times
to finally pull that off. It's fantastic. Panther's what's the story.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Well, we tried, we tried really hard, but we lost again.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Final score twenty six to three. Chargers with it maybe
next week heading off to Vegas Falcons Eagles tonight and
we got those tickets sold out. Cody Johnson in minutes.
It's man versus woman, town versus town.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
It's a good old fashioned cat fight.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Let's play that game. Got a couple of ringers this morning,
Charlotte from Charlotte and David from Indian Trail. First one
to get two points wins five seconds. Each one got
a shout out your name when you know the answer.
Do you people understand the rules of this game? Ye? Yeah,
Let's play Monday Morning movies or music? The category in.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
The movie Nightmare Before Christmas is the big star named
grew mister Incredible? Or Jack Skelington Charlotte Charlotte, Jack Skeleton Charlotte.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Over the weekend number one movie again Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Michael J. Fox,
Michael Myers, Michael Keaton, Charlotte Charlotte, Oh God, oh, David.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Michael Keaton.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
There you go, it's one to one, all right.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Actress Kimberly Williams Paisley celebrated her fifty their birthday this weekend.
What country star is she married to?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Charlotte? You got it? You deemed yourself, Charlotte. It would
have been a terrible day for you had you not won.
We got you some Cody Johnson tickets. It's a sellout.
But you're gonna go Friday night absolutely free if it's
for me. Yes, Oh, poor, poor Sarah Lee. I am

(08:57):
sitting here looking at my friend who has an ice
pack on her cheek. She's all the cheek looks all
swalled up. This is a sad story. Tell everybody what
has to happen.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
I have to have another root can now done?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
And you're laughing at me, Paul shacking, I'm laughing the
worst pain I've ever felt my life. Well, and you
promised me, and you've never lied to me.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
You promised me you would hold my hand.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Well, if I made a promise, you know I'm good
for my promises. I don't break promises.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
October third, that's the only time they can fit me in,
so my appointments at one o'clock.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I can't wait to see you there.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
You've been not an antibiotics you got oh what have you got?
An absess in there?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (09:34):
And it just like came out of nowhere and it
is the most excruciating pain you could ever feel.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Is it top or bottom? Top? I was hoping you
wouldn't say that, because on the top, when you've already
had a root canal, they actually have to go in
through your cheek. They can't go in the normal way
like you open your mouth. I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
No, They told me that they'll probably have to go
in through like my gum line and go down and
I'm like, what, Yeah, I am terrified. There's two things
I'm terrified of in life, and that is finding an
airplane and go into the dentist.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Oh, and the other bad thing is when you do
a second root canal, you have to do it in
a plane because it has to be pressurized. I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Bully Boat has a private plane and I'll be in yours.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
All right, Everybody say a little prayer for our friends
Sarahly so she gets better quick. How do you get that?

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Do you?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
Do you not brush your teeth at all? Or your flass?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I actually asked that question, Am I not flossing my teeth?
Grat And they said I had beautiful teeth and my
teeth are very healthy. It's just something that happens. They
don't know why. With the root canal. They see it
all the time, and I had the root canal done
like twelve years ago.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Teeth pain is some of the worst pain I had,
probably in the top three pains I've had in my life.
I had wisdom teeth taken out and after that, Oh
my god, did that hurt?

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I don't remember, because I mean they really put me
under for that because I had mind taken out too.
But this pain, it goes like to my nose, down
my jawline. Oh my goodness, are you.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Going to allow yourself to be videoed once you come
out of what I said?

Speaker 2 (11:01):
If you come with me and hold my hand, and
I'm being dead serious, if you come in there and
hold my hand, you can film.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Me whatever they do.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
If they give me laughing gas, ask me any question
you want.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
I don't think they're gonna let me in. You think
they're gonna let me in fill me worse.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
It's my choice.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
When I go to get my every six months for
them to go check and see if I'm sick or not.
They won't let me video because I want to video
myself getting knocked out and try and not to get
knocked out. But that's a no go.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
I'm just I wish they would because I would ask
you some fun questions.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I know you would be fun.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Well, there's not a lot of time. I mean, when
you start counting down and they turn the juice on you,
it's probably three seconds and you're in Goodbye Bye Land.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, but when you come out of Goodbye Bye Land,
you still have like fifteen to twenty minutes that you're
still a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
It is Paul Shadd and Sarahly. Hopefully you find us
fun ninety six minutes NonStop Cat Country. It's rolling right now,
Paul Shadd Sarah Ly to the cat phone. Hey there,
let me tell you something. I wouldn't care if you
guys never played another storm. So, my good dear friend

(12:14):
Sarah Lee does so many great things in the community
that she doesn't talk about, doesn't want the Cat's spotlight
on them. But this one she needs some help on
this one and if anybody can help her out. Now,
how much do they want you to raise?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Five thousand dollars, Paul Shad, I am stressing out so bad.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
And where's this money gonna wind up?

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Well, I've been nominated as a champion for the best
Buddies program in North Carolina, and so All the proceeds
will go to this nonprofit organization.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
And I am willing.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
To work at your job. I will work a drive through.
I will whatever it takes to raise this money. I
mean I have to have it raised by November first.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
You heard her, folks. Whatever it takes, and I'm trying
to think of some odd jobs. Can you powerwash it all?

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Actually I can powerwash all right. I'll write my name
and your driveway Paul Shad. You know, it'll say Sarah
Lee and that's all all clean.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
I worry about you power washing. You're gonna get like
to a cranny where the cement is coming out and
you'll just blow the whole thing up. So no power washing.
How about mold off sighting or me'lldew.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Look, what ever it takes. I'm serious. I've got to
raise this money. There's not a lot of time, and
five thousand dollars is a lot, but it's towards a
great program.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Well what if people just want to contribute. They don't
want to miss tornado over at their place, direct stuff,
They want to just give, give, give, What can they do?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Oh man, First of all, I would appreciate you immensely
because this program is all about inclusivity and helping people
with special needs.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
It means so much to me.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I'm going to share the information on our Facebook page
with the donation link.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I can't thank you enough.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Even if it's five dollars, it will mean.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
The world to us.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Go check it out this morning, or maybe as soon
as you go to work. Just search Paul and Sara Lee.
Make sure you like us while you're there. Let's help
Sarah Le raise five thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
You're the best.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
You gotta Hey, we're almost major concert announcement with tickets,
just a couple more minutes. Stay close, all right. Travis
Kelsey Taylor Swift, sweetheart football player. Me and him have
something in common.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yes, now you both like football, you both like Taylor Swift.
But that's not it. When I take any guesses, is it.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
The way our body looks and spandex.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
No, Oh, don't you wish, Paul shad the.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Amount of testosterone that flows through our body.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Not unless you're getting the shots.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
The way women point and stair when we walk through
the mall.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
You know they might do that if you actually walk
through the mall.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
But no, that's not it.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
So I think we've worked together, what a little over
six years.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Yes, every single.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Day that I've worked with you, every single day, you
eat the same thing for breakfast every single morning, peanut
butter and jelly with some iced teat I'll wash it down,
like your mourning is not complete unless you have this.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Meal, a lot of protein and peanut butters early.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I just think it's weird that somebody could eat the
same thing every single day for so many consecutive days
in a row. But Travis Kelsey, he does the same thing.
Maybe not every day in a row, but he said
every pregame meal since he's joined the Chiefs, he has
the same thing, French toast and strawberries.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
I love a good French toast. I love strawberries. That
might be a little bit much on game day, though.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
The carbet up gives you energy. And you send me
the weirdest video of a story about Taylor Swift this weekend.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
What in the world was that?

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah, this woman appears to have gone to high school
with Taylor Swift. And from watching the video, did you
get the feeling that Taylor bullied this girl?

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Yes, that she was a big, mean girl.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
And I know I lived in Gallatin, which was Sumner County.
And I know some people that went to school with
Taylor and they have similar stories.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Maybe not this woman's story, but you got to check
out what she says.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
I mean it my mouth at the poor got the
video up.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
On our Facebook page. Just search Paul and Sarah Lee.
Take a look at it.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
We have the same big congratulations, Paul shadded Joe Don
Rooney from Rascal Flats. He's celebrating three years of sobriety.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Oh that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Good for Joe Dunn. That's not an easy thing to
do and probably had a part in Rascal Flats splitting up.
And we understand they're gonna make a major announcement in
early October, the boys, So maybe they're getting back together.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
I hope.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
So.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
I love those guys, and I know you like concert tickets,
especially when they're free. We've got a big concert announcement
coming up next with tickets right here on ninety six
point nine.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
The gap Hey's concert announcement time ninety six point nine
The Cat Paul shadd Sy release. If you guess who's
coming to town man right there?

Speaker 3 (16:34):
