Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, look, if you ever get the chance to go
check out Monster Jam when it comes near you, you
definitely should. Talking to one of the drivers from Monster
Jam right now, and how's everything going while you.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Guys are on tour?
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Oh, it's good.
Speaker 4 (00:10):
How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Fantastic bringing a mahan Monster Jam joining us right now.
Very excited about Monster Jam that's going to be coming,
and let's talk about that for a minute. What got
you into the world of monster trucks, motorcross and wanting
you to go down this path?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
You know, I was.
Speaker 5 (00:28):
Really just born into a motorsports family. My parents grew
up racing and I was just kind of, you know,
born into it. I started riding when I was three. Wow,
thing that had a motor four wheeler, snowmobile, dr bikes,
and it kind of just took off from there nice
and then it just progressed to the career that you
(00:49):
have right now.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Because I mean, when you look at the world of
Monster Jam, it's great to see women drivers, women teams,
even being a part of a truck line that only
had women ever drive that truck.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
Now absolutely, and you know, being in male dominated motorsports.
My whole life from motocross to third track racing and
even Monster Jam. You know, coming into the Monster Jam family,
you know, over a decade ago, it's amazing how far
everything has come, and you know, everyone is so supportive
and there's not you know a lot of the issues
(01:25):
I ran into in other types of motorsports, and so
that's what's great about Monster Jam. And you know, we're
all here to push each other to drive harder and
do better.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
You know, over the years, I'm sure that you've seen
a lot of young girls come up to you admire you,
appreciate the job that you've done. What is it like
to be someone that young girls can aspire to be like?
And you said it, you started doing this when you
were three years old. A lot of girls are playing
with barbies. A lot of girls are, you know, trying
(01:55):
to find the princess dress and watch Disney you name it.
But I mean you're saying, hey, you know what, that's
cool and everything, and it's good that you do that.
And maybe you even played with barbies, who knows, But yes,
young girls, you guys can get on the dirt bikes,
do a little motorcross, have some fun with it. If
you like it, you can make a profession out of it,
just like you did.
Speaker 5 (02:17):
Absolutely, I've always been both. I've been that girly girl
and I've also been the tomboy. And I love to
kind of be that positive, you know, modest role model
for girls and women all around the world that just
to show them that, you know, you can be pretty
and get dirty too, you can still be a girly girl.
I'm a hairdresser. I love getting my nails done, but
(02:39):
then also I love working on and driving big trucks
and dirt bikes.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
There was a moment in your career where you got injured,
you had to have surgery. Did you ever think, you
know what, maybe this isn't the way to go.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
Yeah, you know, when my motorcross career ended, I was
kind of lost. I mean that's all I had ever
known and worked for, and when I wasn't able to
do that because of the extent of my injury, I
really was like, Okay, now what Like, what's next? Because
there's always something next, There's always new dreams and new goals.
And that's when we got into dirt track racing. And
(03:17):
at the same time, Monster Jam presented itself and it was,
you know, a dream I never knew I had, And
as we always say in the motorsports world, with age
comes to cage, So you know what, I am way
more protected in this Monster Jam truck. And you know,
it's it's just really changed my life and I've gotten
to travel the world and not a lot of people
(03:38):
can say that.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Let's talk about the year you won Rookie of the
Year and you went to the world finals.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Talk about that.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
Yeah, so that was my first year competing. I you know,
won Rookie of the Year, which was such an amazing honor.
You know, being invited to the Monster Jam World Finals
is a huge feat in its own and I've been
very blessed to be invited every single year. And I
remember in twenty sixteen, I landed my very first backflip
(04:06):
there and never pradice, never thought about it, just went
out and did it and it worked and I was
so excited. And that's really where my career started elevating.
But you know, even last year I was I was
crowned the fan Favorite, which is to me such an
amazing honor to have with in this industry because that
(04:29):
means you know that the fans really do look up
to you and the fans want to see you out there,
and you know, it's just proof that out of all
of these amazing drivers, these betteran drivers who are so
well known, that somebody like me, you know, this little
country girl from a small town in the Midwest, can
come out and you know everyone really just you know, support.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Me in my career monster jam.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
The energy inside the arena is just electric. You have
to get charged up every single time you get out there,
and you see the smiles on the fans' faces and
everyone's ready to see you. Guys get out there and
get these monster trucks going. But one of the biggest
thrills of your life, I'm sure, was being a mom
(05:16):
and still being able to continue your career. Talk about
that because there's so many women in sports, I'm sure,
women in monster trucks and monster jams who are sitting
there going, you know what, you can be a mom
and you can continue your career and you can continue
to do those things.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
No, absolutely, I mean it's definitely chaotic at times, and
it's not always easy, but it's so worth it. And
you know, she's been traveling with me since she was
three months old, and so just to watch her kind
of become immersed in this industry and fall in love
with all the things that I love. I mean we
were just riding around on the dirt bike earlier, right.
(05:53):
You know, she gets to go with me to my
events and cheer me on, and you know, she learned
to walk and talk on tour with me, you know,
the entire team, and you know, it's it's definitely cool
to be you know, in in this you know, mom
club and be able to show that you show them that,
you know, we can still do really cool things too.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Not only motocross, but in all sports and in all
arenas of life that you know what, I'm a mom
and I'm continuing to work and I'm doing the things
that i need to do, and I'm showing my young
daughter that she's gonna be able to do the same
thing as well.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Oh absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Monster Jam is fun and I know you get to
meet young kids. I know, you get to entertain and
do multiple shows on a weekend. What is it like
when you when you know that you've just nailed it
out there and everyone's going crazy for you, and you
know that you've just inspired the next generation.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
Oh, it is such a humbling feeling. I mean, I
have my little signature hair flips, So whenever I'd say
I just landed this epic backflip, right awesome run and
I flip my hair out the wind and the crowd
goes crazy, and you know, it's so cool because a
lot of them don't know that I'm a female.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
They don't pay.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
Attention to that part of what's happening. And then it's like,
oh wow. And then you know, the sisters and the
daughters come along just because the dads brought them, and
then they fall in love and I get to watch
them grow over the years into some of our biggest
fans and even developed this as a dream someday, and
you know, it's just it's such an awesome experience to
(07:30):
kind of get the ladies in the crowd riled up
and just to hear how excited there to be there.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
You know, it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I mean, the nickname the Princess of Carnage, how that
I mean, that's one of those nicknames right there.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
That's like a WWE nickname.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
Yeah, no, for sure. So we had one of our
pioneers in the sport, Medusa. She was known as the
Queen of Carnage and she brought me in to drive
her red, white and blue Monster Jam rock in twenty
sixteen at World Finals. That's what I landed the first,
(08:04):
my first backflip in and you know, she was like, girl,
we have got to, you know, kind of help push
your image, get your name out there, like I think,
you know what, you're the Princess of Carnival. Riving is
like that, and it just stuck, and you know, we've
gone with it, and it's been such a great, you know,
thing to have because you know, we are building a
brand of our own within this industry and for people
(08:26):
to recognize us and remember a spy And you know,
I get a little crazy sometime in that Monster Jam
truck and so I try to live.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
Up to the name.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Love it.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Appreciate you for coming on the show today talking about
Monster Jam.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Getting us excited for Monster Jam.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Anything you want to tell fans of yourself, fans of
your truck and your team, go.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
Ahead now, absolutely no, just come out. I mean you,
especially if you've never experienced Monster Jam. It is unlike
anything else. Sty'll have you on the edge of your
seat and cheering and screaming along with us. But I
always tell people make sure you take the extra time
and come to the pit party, which is prior to
(09:09):
the Saturday one pm show and the Sunday one pm event,
and you know, make sure you get those tickets because
that's the only really motorsport that offers this and where
you can get up close and personal in the dirt
on the track, meet us drivers, stand next to the trucks,
take pictures, and just get immersed in in what Monster
(09:29):
Jam really is. And you know, it's one of my
favorite parts because that's where I get to sit down
and really just talk to each and every person that
comes through my life.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Thank you so much for joining us, The Princess of Carnage,
Brianna Mahan really appreciate you joining us today.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Awesome.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Right about now, though, we want to take care of
Gabe inside a second date update. You went on date
number one some reason, he hasn't heard back and he's like, well,
can you help me out? Can you can you please
give me the hooked Upso Gabe tell us about what's
going on with date number one and why date number
two you don't think has happened?
Speaker 7 (10:00):
Yes, here doing so.
Speaker 8 (10:01):
I went on this date with this beautiful girl, and
I would I've been saving up for like months too.
The day we went to we actually ended up going
to PF Chang.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Okay, yeah right there a river park?
Speaker 8 (10:13):
Yeah, okay. Everything. I thought it went well. Grow I
think the only thing I can see maybe that she
might have been upset about, is like, so I had
to rush straight from work to meet her at PFA,
and I didn't have time to go home and like
get like as fancy or ass up as I would
like to. So I literally had to change, like on
(10:34):
the way.
Speaker 9 (10:35):
To the restaurant.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
So it was a quick change from work. You had
to rush to meet her. And I can even tell
right now you're still a little nervous. I can only
imagine how nervous you were for the date.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
Yeah, I was pretty, I was pretty I was trating
nervous man, because I mean I saved up all this
money for the date and I didn't get to go
home and prepare anything. I really rushed, But I thought
I still thought it ended pretty well.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
You know, a lot of people don't understand sometimes the
struggle is definitely real. You're like, man, I saved up
because I really want to impress her, you know, date
number one. I'm a splurge a little bit. We're gonna
go to PF Chang'. We're gonna have a good time.
And then the next thing, you know, she hasn't hit
you back for date number two just yet.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (11:10):
Well, I wonder what the disconnect was.
Speaker 11 (11:12):
You know, there was no awkward moment that you can remember.
Maybe something that may have been a little like, damn it,
it was risky. I shouldn't have gone there.
Speaker 8 (11:19):
No, I don't think. I mean I thought we vibed
really well. I mean the only thing, like I said,
I didn't get to get ready like I would like to,
because I guess I'll have to rush to get there,
right almon like change like shallow iron and all that stuff.
But besides that, I thought anything else.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Wow, all right, So here's what we're gonna do. Man,
We're gonna get Netsa on the phone.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
We're gonna see if she'll join us and talk about
possibly going on date number two with you.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Are you cool with that?
Speaker 8 (11:45):
Yeah? I appreciate that. That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Hello, Hello, is this NASA?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Ain't necesss Sorry if we woke you up and c
kN comming from the Juice Crew with be ninety five.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Good morning, I'm here all right. So NESSA.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
The reason that what calls we do this thing called
the second date update. We have to ask your permission
and get your permission to continue his phone call so
you can.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Join us on the radio. You have my permission, Thank
you so much.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Do you have an idea of who we may be
calling about on the possibility of getting date number two happened?
Speaker 5 (12:19):
You know what I do.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
But I'm hoping that it's not who it is because
that experience was so horrible that I never want to
go back to it again. But that being said, bring
it on.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Okay, Well, yes, I guess you know we're talking about Gabe.
He seemed like a nice guy. I mean, he was
kind of cool, a little bit nervous. I mean, it
was date number one, So what makes you think that
it wasn't so good?
Speaker 4 (12:43):
I know, listen, I could describe the date in one word.
One word, and that would be poop.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Poop.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
I'm just saying poop because Gabe smelled so much like poop.
Not to mention, we were in we were in a
restaurant and he was speaking really loud.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
It wasn't even like he was on his phone. He
was just being so loud and he had foul language.
Thinks that just you don't really need to be staying
at the table when you're trying to win over a
beautiful woman.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
I can't get past the first thing they said, did
you say poop?
Speaker 4 (13:23):
I'm saying this brother smelled so much like poop that
I couldn't even need my food and I love food.
I mean I had to get up a couple of
times to go to the bathroom to smell a better
rendition of the air dage.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
I mean, I know that you had to rush from work,
but man, I work.
Speaker 8 (13:40):
All day and I didn't have I didn't want to
be late because being late to bad impressions. So I
don't want to be late for the first date.
Speaker 7 (13:46):
I didn't have.
Speaker 8 (13:47):
I didn't have the times to go home and shower
or anything after work. I just had to come straight
after work. I just bought a change of clothes, changed
into clothes, and I had to get down time.
Speaker 11 (13:59):
So you smell light poop and apparently also talk like
that too. Can you explain a little bit of behind
that were you? Are you a potty mouth?
Speaker 12 (14:08):
If?
Speaker 11 (14:08):
Sorry, I'm not judging you because I'm a potty mouth too,
But is that what it was?
Speaker 1 (14:11):
I think he was nervous, But go ahead, Gabe, Yeah,
I don't think.
Speaker 8 (14:14):
I mean, I just I don't know. I wasn't nervous.
Like I said, I would have liked to have the
time to go home and prepare better. But I mean
I was just I mean, I think it might have
been because I was at work all day, and at work,
I obviously can't curase. I can't have to be all
like robotic at my job customer service. I think, so
(14:36):
that when I get off work to let loosen just
be myself.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Okay, well, let me ask you this, NASA, because I'm
trying to give Gabe.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
The benefit of the down.
Speaker 8 (14:44):
Now.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
You know, he saved up for this date. You want
to really have a good time. He wanted to impress you.
He admit that he came straight from work. I mean,
can you see past some of these things and just say, man,
that was just nervousness.
Speaker 11 (14:56):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
I think you're a great guy, but there's no way
in hell that I would go out on another date
with you when all I can think of is butt clap, work,
butt clap.
Speaker 9 (15:06):
It was.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
I don't know why you even tried to like do this, like.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
No, this is this is this phone call.
Speaker 8 (15:14):
I just need a ditch the phone.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Call right now.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
It's it's very uncomfortable. And that dinner. It was very
sweet of you, but I was hungry. When I left
the dinner, I couldn't even eat. I was just I
was literally trying my best. I was taking my maskin
to take mean whist of it because I was thinking
the whole time. It's not like the clap of an ass.
It was just beyond normal.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
All right, we get it, we get it out. You
have to make him feel even worse than he already does.
Speaker 10 (15:42):
This is a lesson learned.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yeah, you're a good guy man. Don't take this one
too hard, Okay, Gabe.
Speaker 8 (15:47):
All right, I appreciate you guys out hey.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
We do our best, but I mean there's nothing that
we can do when you know, I know that you
just want to work and then go straight to the day.
You didn't want to be late, but I think maybe
a phone call twenty minutes to go home and shower
freshing up probably would have did the trick. Because nobody
wants to smell booty while they're eating dinner.
Speaker 10 (16:05):
That sucks.
Speaker 11 (16:05):
And some people who are more sensitive than others when
it comes to, you know, smelling bad stuff like that.
Speaker 13 (16:10):
Peter's Beware War of the Roses. He's on the air
with c K and Carmen in the morning on b
ninety five.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
All right, so we're doing a war of the roses.
We have Rick on the phone right now. Rick. This
is a unique war of the roses, but something that
we've kind of entered into before.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Rick.
Speaker 8 (16:28):
You're married, Yeah, I'm married.
Speaker 12 (16:32):
And you want to do it a war the roses
on who his girlfriend?
Speaker 9 (16:36):
Well, I want to do a war of the roses
on my girlfriend because I want to make sure she's
not cheating on okay.
Speaker 12 (16:42):
You want to make sure she's not doing what you're doing, okay,
And obviously these in securities are coming from some place.
Speaker 9 (16:50):
Well look, you know, I mean like from time to time,
I got to check up and just see, you know,
what's going on, because you never know. I mean, if
she's gonna go with me, who else could she go with?
And I want a girlfriend. I don't want to tramp
you know.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Okay, But you're the one that's cheating right now.
Speaker 9 (17:06):
Yeah, you know, I don't look at it that way.
I have a different situation. You know, I'm like locked
into a marriage that's you know, been going on for
a long time, and you know, things have slowed down
and I got kids and everything, so you know, like
the sex isn't always there, so I need to go
out and do what I need to do.
Speaker 10 (17:26):
You know, but your your wife doesn't know about.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Yeah, there's no open relationship.
Speaker 10 (17:33):
Okay, well damn all.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Right, so we're gonna go ahead and go through with this.
Does she know that you're married?
Speaker 9 (17:44):
Yeah, she knows I'm married.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Okay, Okay, all right, cool.
Speaker 12 (17:47):
Well maybe maybe you know it's something that she feels
she's not really fully committed to with you either because
you're married. Yea, who knows. We're gonna find out though, But.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Let me, can you really blame her? I mean, think
about it for a second. Can you blame her?
Speaker 10 (18:02):
But these are conversation I think that they should have had.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I'm like, man, if you're cheating, she knows you're married,
can you blame her? If she's see you know what,
we'll get to the bottom of this crazy war of
the roses go there.
Speaker 9 (18:15):
I mean, it's not about blaming. I gotta just check
up to make sure everything.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
You just want to check.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
You want to put the mac hand down, you want
to make sure everything's all good. Okay, Okay, we can
do that. We're gonna do this next instead of War
the Roses. I will see what happens with Bianca when
we get her on the phone. Okay, Rick, Yeah, see
King Carmen B ninety five.
Speaker 13 (18:34):
You're real King Carmen in the morning, catching those cheaters.
It's War of the Roses now on B ninety five.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
So here's what we do know. Rick is married. Now
it's time to track down Bianca. Who's his side check?
He wants to know what's going on and if she's
being faithful.
Speaker 10 (19:01):
Hello, Hi is Bianca there? This is hi Bianca. This
is Chrissy from CNC Floro.
Speaker 12 (19:09):
I am the owner of a brand new floral shop
right here on Blackstone's shop called c.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Yes.
Speaker 10 (19:17):
Who is this Chrissy from CNC Floral.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
I'm sorry, I think he has the wrong number.
Speaker 10 (19:23):
Is this Bianca?
Speaker 14 (19:25):
Yes?
Speaker 12 (19:27):
Okay, I believe I got the right number, Bianca.
Speaker 9 (19:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (19:34):
So we're a brand new floral shop right here on Blackstone.
It's called CNC Floral. And the reason why I'm calling
you is because you've actually been selected as part of
our promotional deal which we do give away a three
dozen roses every single week, and you just so happen
to be chosen at random, So you are actually a
winner for this week. You're getting hooked up with a
three dozen roses completely free.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
No, that's okay.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
I don't want to spend any money, that's all right.
Speaker 12 (19:59):
No, it's completely free. There is no credit card, there's
no other information I need from you. Honestly, the way
we're doing this is we're giving away a free dozen
roses to be able to get people to know about us,
to get familiar with the brand new floor shop that's here,
and basically get word of mouth.
Speaker 10 (20:13):
This is our way.
Speaker 12 (20:14):
So if we give away these roses, whoever receives them will.
Speaker 10 (20:17):
Know about us. You will know about us completely free.
Speaker 12 (20:21):
There's no other information I need from you other than
the fact that you know who you want to send
it out to.
Speaker 10 (20:25):
That's it. I promise you. Its completely free. There's no
other hook okay, all right, okay, so do you want
to do it?
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Okay, so I don't have to send any money.
Speaker 12 (20:37):
Now, no money at all, completely free, I promise you.
Speaker 10 (20:40):
It's just literally getting a word of mouth out there.
Speaker 12 (20:42):
Hopefully you come back to us, and whoever we send
the roses to, they come back to us.
Speaker 10 (20:46):
That's completely it. You make my job a lot easier
if you do this for me.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Okay, if you could send them so, Ray.
Speaker 10 (20:54):
Are a y awesome? Okay, Ray, and just a little
something to say, Hi, I'm sorry.
