Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us now from the Federation for American Integration Reform.
Hannah Davis is here. Hannah, welcome in, Thanks for being.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Here, Thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Well, all the madness route, all the immigration and getting
the bad guys out of this country. It's certainly stirred
up the left and the court systems, as well as
another judge that's been arrested. We were just talking about
that Supreme Court now temporarily halting the deportion to deportation.
Rather trader r was gang members. It's unreal how the
very bottom line is, Okay, these first of all, forget
(00:31):
gang affiliation, forget you know, anything that may have happened
here where they haven't gone through due process in crimes chart.
Here they are in this country right out of the
gate first and foremost illegally. They crossed here. So I
thought we had federal laws. If you come to this
country illegally, you gotta go. So what's going on with
the latest Supreme Court decision here?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, it's an unprecedented ruling, to be honest, to backtrack
and back it up a little bit. Trump campaigned in Aurora,
Colorado last year on the Alien's Enemy Act. It's an
old wartime authority from the seventeen hundreds that allows for
the detention and deportation of aliens from enemy nations. It's
only really ever been used in the War of eighteen
(01:12):
twelve and both of the World Wars, so people were
kind of excited to hear from it. The left thought that, hey,
this isn't going to go through that kind of thing.
And fast forward to March, Trump signed the proclamation invoking
the Act, you know, stating basically a broad sweeping statement
that all Venezuelan citizens fourteen years or older who are
members of trend Iragua, which is a violent criminal cartel
(01:33):
gang from Venezuela, are liable to be removed from the US.
And since then there's been numerous lawsuits, mainly all backed
by the ACLU, back and forth appealed by the DOJ
appeal to judges you know, disagreeing and agreeing with initial
blockings of the order. But it came down the rub
here is just a couple of weeks ago, mid April,
the Supreme Court ruled and basically stated that there should
(01:57):
be no more removals of specific classes of alien without
their further orders, basically citing due process and timely notification.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Unbelievable. It's crazy. And I don't see any end in
sight either on this thing. And I think at some
point ultimately this is, you know, all of these cases,
the Supreme Court has got to make a decision that, look,
we're enforcing federal law here. I don't understand this whole
due process. They're not coming in there without due process
already in place here. They're not just going to wing
(02:26):
it and go well, hopefully nobody's going to really hold
us on this. Let's just go get them without any
real reason. They've got all kinds of background on these
people they're putting on these planes, and get them out
of here, all right, Let's shift gears here. As California
continues to double down and be liberal, they're Cali. I
guess it's the medical The costs there keep going through
the roof here, but they keep spending their money on
trying to help deal you know, these illegals.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah. I refer to the medical meltdown to be honest.
Medical is California's version of Medicaid, and Governor knew some
in a move in my opinion, that further solidifies California's
the epicenter of state sanctuary policies signed off on a
two point eight billion dollar taxpayer funded bailout. You know, initially,
(03:09):
earlier in March, the medical was about a little over
six billion in a deficit in the red and they
had to bail them out again with taxpayers funding. And
this most recent one, that's almost three billion dollars worth
of taxpayer money, is only going to float the system
until June. And people keep asking why why is there
so much taxpayer funding going towards this program, And it's
(03:30):
because California has repeatedly expanded the program. You know, basically,
any any illegal alien between the ages of like twenty
nine and forty five in California is covered by medical
and there's over four point three million illegal aliens currently
in California, so you can see the cost of just skyrocketing.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Well, I'm telling you what Joe Biden did over four
years with a toothpaste out of the tube. Now, and
we knew this, it was not going to be an
easy task in rounding up all the illegals that is
quote unquote program allowed to come into this country here
and trying to get them all out of here. I mean,
this is going to be a daunting task that may
never come to complete hundred percent fruition and getting every
bad person out of this country that's here illegally. But
(04:11):
I got to tell you they're making a big imp
impact on a lot of cities right now and clamping
down and sending a message we're not standing for this
crime anymore. And just the common sensor lack thereof from
the left and these judges about jumping in this and interfering.
It is just mind blowing to me that they're cool
with keeping these bad guys in our country well last year.
(04:31):
To appreciate your update, Handah, thank you so much. Hannah
