Speaker 1 (00:00):
Our phones are open two five four three nine nine
three seven two. Come on in here anytime you like
to chat. What's on your mind. Marvin's got us ogn
in Tuscaloosa this morning. Marvin, good morning, you're in Alabama's
Morning News. What's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Good morning, JT. I've just got a comment about this
issue about people coming in the country illegally. Is that
we allowed twenty fifteen to twenty million people to come
in and we don't need to be in my opinion,
we don't need to be given any kind of amnesty
for people that came in. First of all, if you

(00:33):
do that, then you'll get more fraudulent statements. People will
be claiming everything. However many years you say, they'll claim
that's what they have and they're not. With that many
millions of people, you wouldn't have enough government employees to
possibly check it out. Also, you're just rewarding the cartel

(00:54):
that they paid to let them come in the country
in the first place, and the cartel, of course supports
supported human trafficking and prostitution and drugs being coming in
the country. You don't want to we don't need to
be rewarding people that broke the law. The rest of
us need to follow the laws. Whatever business you're in,

(01:17):
you just need to be creative and come up with
ways to make your business successful without hiring illegal labor
and child labor and supporting all the all the evils
that have come in the country in the last few
in the during the last four years. Yeah, that's my
opinion on giving them the state of people that came

(01:38):
in Now.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I certainly understand your point, Marvin, And yeah, there's a
part of me that says, you came in here. It's
you're illegal, your your time is run out, you know.
But what the problem is, and you said at the beginning,
we've let so many in you and I have not.
We would not be in favor of this. This was
the current regime on Pennsylvania Avenue for four years. They

(02:00):
administration open the floodgates like a fire hydrant to let
these people come flying in here. I don't know what
the reasoning was. They say it's the humanitarian I think
they're trying to get votes. That backfired on them. Even
the folks that have come through the borders that have
made it legal for their families to be here, and
our US citizens are screaming out loud. No, we don't

(02:22):
support them being here. They're illegals. They need to get
out here. I get it, I understand it. But when
you talk about the amount of people that came across Marvin,
like you said, ten fifteen million people, that's a lot
of people that's logistically almost impossible to round them all
up and get them out of here. And that's why
Christy Um I think, is saying self deport and then

(02:43):
we'll talk about you coming back here and getting in
the right line and doing it the right way. I
think the President yeah, I think the President though, is
addressing he's getting a lot of heat from both sides
of the I on on, listen, we're with you, coach.
We want to be on your team with this thing here,
at least the Republican side. We understand, you know, the

(03:06):
influx of all the invasion, if you will, of all
the illegals that are here. But when you try in
a mass deportation sweep the hotel and service industry and
the farming and agricultural industry of every illegal. Now you're
going in and taking you know, a big chunk of
the productivity and the potential to destroy farms and service

(03:29):
industry businesses. So there's a balance in there somewhere that
I think common sense has got to be set down
within disgust. And does that mean mess, you know, amnesty
for everything. I don't think so. But also on the
other hand, one, it's going to be impossible to do.
But two, even when you do this, yeah, I get it,
you're sending a message back that you know, you got
to do it right, and it's going to create all

(03:51):
kinds of fraud and line and forms and certificates, and
you know, we're in a hot mess, that's for sure.
But the noise right now in the President's office from
a lot of people are saying, look, you're going to
destroy some of the biggest infrastructure businesses you know, in
our country.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I don't know what you do, Marvin. I mean, if
you're sitting at the president's conference table there in the
cabinet room and they say, all right, Marvin, you don't
want to have anybody legal in this you know, illegal
in this country. Get them all out, even if it
takes away ninety percent of a farmer's you know, workforce,
or a hotel's you know staff. What's your suggestion with that?

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Well, my suggesting is this, Americans have done remarkable things.
They are amazing people. I'd hire Americans and I'd come
up with creative, creative ways to handle it. Those amazing
Americans can do anything. That's my take on it all.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I agree with you. America is strong and the people
are strong too. I appreciate you listening, buddy. Thank you.
I appreciate your point in calling today. Thank you, Marvin,
thank you,
