hot doggers or the Wienermobile is in our city.

This is kind of cool. You ever been inside the Wienermobile? No,
but I'm gonna go check it out.

everybody where you're going to be today. Pull that mic
down a little bit closer to there you go.

today in Birmingham from noon to six. So six today, Yes, today,
So come on out. We'll be parked right at the Walmart.

inside the Wienermobile, take a seat in one of our
ketchup Mustard seats as well as get your photo with
the Wienermobile and you have to get an iconic Oscar
(00:55):
Meyer Wiener whistle as well.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
No, I saw these whistles. This is cool, Paul, did
you open your Are you ready to I'm going to
blow on girl. Mister Matthew as the word grill master
is part of your name, but you won't be grilling today.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
No grilling today. We are in the business of serving
them smiles with the Wiener Mobiles, so you can always
expect to have a fantastic time getting yourself one of
our iconic whistles, maybe even grab a coupon stick or
get some other special Wienermobile as we like to call it.
But the experience of the Wiener Mobile doesn't involve any
actual food.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
But there'll be coupons where people can go to the
Walmart today from noon until six and trustful as they
come visit the Wienermobile and go in and get some
Oscar Myer Wieners for the games.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Exactly we can grilling and it works for any of
the Oscar Meyer products. So if you're more of a
bacon fan or want some of the Deli Fresh meats,
you can use it on any of the products as well.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
All right, let's sing it together, Oh wish.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
An Oscar Meyer Wiener That is.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
What I truly want to be.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
An Oscar Mayer.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
We everyone would be in love with me.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Im you did it? You go that one was bonderful man, Yeah, bonderful.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I mean the Winnermobile has been around since nineteen thirty six,
so it's an American icon. There's only six of them
in the US, so it is really franktastic when you
get to see it in person and you can sing
the jingle with us.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Tons wow, yeah, tons of funds. We learn them all
at Hot Dog High. When we get our dog grease.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Oh my gosh, it just doesn't stop mostard you enjoy them.
Come on now, as hot Doggers do you have to
get training to be out there on the road like this,
and we.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Do, like grow Master Matthew was saying, we go to
Hot Dog High.
Speaker 6 (02:40):
It's a two week.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Training program in Madison, Wisconsin, which is where we're based
out of and we learn everything Oscar Meyer and we're
getting trained how to drive the Wienermobile and then how
to spark as many smiles and add some levity to
the every day that we can across the country for
a year.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
How long have you guys been doing this?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
We are actually coming to the end of our tenure.
We've been at this for about e leves than months,
so the next class of hot Doggers has been hired.
So it's a year long in the wings, one full year.
You start on June first and you end on June first.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
So there are term limits. Oh yes, indeed. And once
you do it once, you can't do it again. There
you go, oh, that's it one time and.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
That's one time and that's it.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
So what are you guys going to do? What are
you doing when you're not dogging?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Well, you got to relish the rest of your time
on the hot Dog Highways and then everyone kind of
goes on to do different things, which is really cool.
A lot of us have media communications backgrounds, but we
have a dentist on our team, so we have people
that do everything and it is really special. Less people
have driven the Wiener Mobile than been to space, so
that's why it's an exclusive one year thing.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Is your future?
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I was just going to ask, are there age limits
on you know, who can be a hot Dogger?
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Oh, there's only one way to find out, and that's
to apply. I could do my show from the mobile
for a.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Year, right, take it on the road on the hot Dog.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
Highway to your producer.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
All right, well, we are going to play the Secret
Sound Game. I mean, you guys have come on a Friday,
so it's nothing but fun here. And I don't know
how to use.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Puns hans of fun.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
We're so glad to have our folks with Oscar Meyer
and the Wiener Mobile and Mustard Mattie is here and
Girl Master Matthew and you guys travel all over the country, right,
you have six different ones. But you guys were just
describing some places, you know, the Grand Canyon. You got
a picture the Wienermobile close to the cliffs, and Maddy plays.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
To drive it on a racetrack in Iowa, which was
pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Really, Yeah, we.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Did the national anthem. My co pilot was sitting out
the bun roof and a hot dog suit holding the
flag and I was driving down the dirt track. It
was an incredible experience.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
I would have been the best day of my life personally.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
You know, Talladega is pretty close.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I know.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
All right, Well, you guys are lucky today because we
have the Secret Sound Game here every Friday, and Paul,
we have some competition in the road. Guys are pretty smart,
so McKenzie explained, instead of playing for a bit kids, today,
we're playing for packs of Oscar Myer hot dogs.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
There you go. Okay.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
So the way that this works is it's a very
short sound clip and you guess what it is, just
based on the short amount of time that you hear. Yes,
and here, I'll give you some headphones. So I will
play it once and then everyone will guess you are,
or guess our guests will go.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
First there, right, So you'll play it twice for us, right, yes, okay,
and then if you don't get it, then she'll play
it again and have some clues, you know, as we
go through and at some point somebody usually gets it.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
We've never really not gotten it.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Oh maybe once once maybe, yeah, so once again. Instead
of playing for biscuits today, we're playing for packets.
Speaker 6 (05:40):
All right, okay, So I'm gonna go ahead and play
it once. Here it goes.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
What?
Speaker 5 (05:46):
All right?
Speaker 6 (05:46):
And I'm gonna play it one more time. Okay, who
wants to guess first?
Speaker 3 (05:53):
An it kind of sounds like a bowling ball, like
knocking over pins.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
That is not it, but that is a very good guest.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I believe that that is a rack of pool balls.
Speaker 6 (06:06):
That's correct. Wow, yeah, that's correct, all right, out.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Of the gate.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
What is it called the ball?
Speaker 4 (06:12):
No?
Speaker 5 (06:13):
The university that the hot dog University do Yeah, see
they trained him up. Well he got it right there.
The bowling was also a good guess because it does
something like that.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
It was in the sports realm. But grow master Matthew
as the pool experts.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
There you go, let's hear it again. Oh there, yeah,
yeah for sure? Wos follow up to the sound? Did
the ball go in with that?
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Mean?
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Sounded like a solid hit.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
I'm going to guess that the twelve ball up in
the left hand corner of the triangle.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Well, congratulations, yeah you want to and packs?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
All right?
Speaker 1 (06:51):
So uh once again today noon until six, trustful Walmart
parking lot.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Don't miss it. And then where are you headed tomorrow?
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Yeah, we're going to be at the Bob Sykes Blues
and Barbecue Festival.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Great event.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
You'll have a ball there and then then there's some
instructions coming from the White House somewhere you'll be on Sunday.
I guess your boxes will send you here's another spot
you're going.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
So you're here Sunday, right, we're here until Sunday so
keep a lookout. You can go to where my dog's
at and there's a wienermobile. Trackers you can see where
the Wienermobile will be. And we can't wait to have
buns of fun with you on Sunday as well.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Who led the dogs? Well? And then where do you
go when you leave our area?
Speaker 3 (07:29):
We're headed to Starkville, Mississippi next nice.
Speaker 2 (07:32):

Speaker 1 (07:34):

So thank you for coming by. Can you stick around
because we want to get some pictures and stuff with
the Winnermobile.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
This is really cool and you got a bunch of
whistles too.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
I woke up smiling ear to ear today thinking about this.
I was like, I'm going to cut your camera.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
I'm so pumped up.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Well, we're very frankful that you had us here today.
