All right. We'll take your calls and talk a little
home improvement. Our phone number is eight hundred eight two
three eight two five five. Go ahead and grab a one.
We've got a couple open for you, and let's go
to Laurie. Laurie, Welcome.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Thank you so much for taking my call. I love
listening to you on Saturday mornings. You have so many
cool things to tell us.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Well, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
We have a one hundred year old home that's my
mom's and we just had trench work done on the
perimeter of her basement. And my dad and his great wisdom,
about five decades ago, he put tile down with adhesive
on the cement floor, and I had We have tried
with a crowbar and hammer and an oscillator with a
(01:44):
scraper on it to get these tiles off. Now most
of them have come up, but a lot of them
haven't because the adhesive has been so strong and just
old type of adhesive. We do not know what to
do to get that those tiles up. Can you give
us the suggestion?
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Well, yeah, it'll be a challenge, but you've already figured
that out. Now, we're what type of toil are these
are they? Is this ceramic or is this vinyl? Or
is it asbestos tile?
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Or they are not asbestos? We do know that they're
just like, uh, they're not ceramic. They're just uh old
ones that you would buy like at a uh at
Walmart years ago. And I think, knowing my daddy probably
put double adhesive on it just to be sure.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
They guys do those kind.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Of you know, years ago. So yeah, I think with
the water, Yeah, tell me about.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
The tell me about the uh, the the uh oscillator
that you were talking about, because that's like the go
to product if you're trying to uh, you know, get
vinyl tie off the floor.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
It's a DeVault oscillator. Oh and I guess, like I said,
a scraper.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Okay, it's a little handle. It's like a hantle, correct
a correct? All right? All right, and we're taking the
tile up because why.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
We just want to clear all those tiles off and
just paint the floor.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Okay, and yeah, and then we got any blue issue
too though. Right, well, the.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Glue seems to be coming up all right with the tile,
but we can't. You can't get the tile up. I mean,
it is glued.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Do you know if it's a twelve x twelve tile
or a nine by nine tile?
Speaker 3 (03:37):
It is it is twelve, all right.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
What I would do is I would go to a
tool rental, all right, and there is a electric or
a gas, and you would want electric. It's inside, okay,
and it's got two little wheels, and right in the
front there's probably a twelve vinch wide plate and it vibrates, okay,
(04:05):
and it will it will. It's basically like a big chisel.
It's gonna chisel that tie right off. Really.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah, what's the name of it?
Speaker 3 (04:15):
I mean, but what I.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Ask, uh, tile removing machine, floor removing machine. Just describe
it as I did. They'll know what you're talking about.
I've used the one many times and uh, it'll pop
it up and it's it's really good for you know,
the tile, like you described, it's a little different ballgame.
If it's ceramic, that's a whole different ball game. We
(04:37):
don't even need to go but just get the electric
floor removing and it's just like a giant chisel that
vibrates and pops a tile off.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Okay, okay, wonderful. All right, we never thought of that.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Great good luck.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
You're quite welcome to take care by by all right again,
that number is eight eight two three eighty two five
five lines open, and I know you're busy, Joey.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Welcome, Hey Gary, first time, long time, love your show.
Speaker 6 (05:11):
I got a question about I heard you.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Talking about the Dicee codings for exposed aggregate.
Speaker 6 (05:16):
What I have.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
I haven't exposed aggregate front porch and it had cracked
and sunk. So I had a concrete leveling company come
out and they did.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
A fantastic job.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
But that looks original, you know, like it used to.
Speaker 6 (05:31):
The only question I have is this aggregate.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Coding by Dicee something that I could cope this with?
Because they wanted me to code it in the spring
to seal it, and I didn't know if that was
something I could use.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, so it's not the dice codings, okay. And I
was talking about them, okay much in the same paragraph,
so I get it there. I was talking also about
a company that does different sealers that are projects specific,
and the name of that product is called Masonry Defender.
Now you don't have to get that product. I'm just
(06:06):
it's just available online, easy to get to and the
and and I love that their products are projects specific.
So they have a sealer that is designed for stamp
concrete and exposed aggregate one and the same. It's a
high solid with achine that is a coating that seals that.
(06:30):
And that's exactly what you would want to use.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Would this Would you apply it with a brush or
like a heavy nap roller or.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, either one.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, because it's it's a coating. It's not a penetrant
because again you want to have it in a coating.
It's stone. It's not going to penetrate stone. So you
want same with a stamp concrete. You want a coating
for you have that sheine to make that color pop
and to make the exposed aggregate pop. So yeah, it
(06:59):
can be a applied with you know, probably it'll tell
you but I'm guessing half inch five ace inch probably
five anch inch roller. Probably not going to be able
to spray it. In fact, I'm sure you're not gonna
be able to spray it. But just just a coating
and it'll look it'll really make that exposed aggregate, it'll
(07:20):
really pop, it'll look really nice.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
Awesome, awesome, love your show. Thanks, thanks for all the
advice you give us.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
We can thank you. Thanks, Joey, take care, Bye bye.
All Right, talking a little bit more regarding sealers and penetrants.
I keep using that word, and I hope you're following me.
There's times you want coatings, garage floors, you would want
not necessarily a penetrant, but more of a coating. You
(07:50):
want to have a little bit of achine in that
it's a different type of porosity versus a driveway or
a sidewalk where you could use a penetrant. A penetrant
seiler is breathable when it can be sprayed on. It
doesn't have to be rolled on. In fact, it will
save you time if you spray it on and you
(08:10):
just missed it on and it goes in and fills
the capillaries in the concrete. It's breathable. It can exhaust
water through the lab and you know that's what you
want to use for driveways and sidewalks. And like I said,
the solid's garage floors, you'd want to solid exposed aggregate
stamp concrete. You'd want a solid pavers. I'll tell you
(08:33):
might even go halfway in between theirs if you get
a paver sealer or a brick sealer. A brick seiler
can be breathable. It can be like your driveway and sidewalk.
But a brick patio or something like that with pavers
on it. You can use like a cure and seal
compound on there, which is a penetrant, but it also
(08:56):
leaves a little satiny finish and it can really make
pavers pop. So do a little study of what that
end result is going to look like, because the different
seilers really really do look different. The penetrating finishes, the
breathe will penetrate. You can't even tell anything's on there
in a driveway or sidewalk. You don't really want to
(09:17):
see anything. You don't really want a sheen. You want
it to look like the natural concrete. All right, we'll
continue with your calls.
Speaker 6 (09:23):

we're going to focus on. Our phone numbers eight hundred
(13:17):
eight two three eight two five five ED.
Speaker 6 (13:20):
Welcome, Good morning, Dary.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
How are you doing fine?
Speaker 6 (13:24):
Thank you good good good enjoy your show. And I
wanted to follow up on the gal that talked earlier
about the tile in the basement. Yes, we have also
it's pushing one hundred years old house and they have
tile in the basement and I'm not sure if it's
(13:46):
asbestos or just linoleum, but it's it is down there,
and it is it's down hard. I have been able
to peel some of it up, heated it up and
it comes off, but I'm left with a black tar
like substance that they use to glue it down. And
(14:07):
that's what I'm having the biggest trouble with. Yeah, And
I wondered if there's anything particular that I can use.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Yeah. So that's where I was driving with her to
ED was that was when she told me the age
of the house, and with the age of your house,
there's a good chance it is asbestos. Not only is
the adhesive asbestos. When I asked her if it was
nine or twelve inch tile, pretty much one hundred percent
of the nine inch tiles asbestos. N Yeah, some of
(14:39):
the twelve inch can be. So you're dealing with asbestos,
that's number one. And sometimes the asbestos is so brittle
and as a homeowner, you can do whatever you want
with that tile, So you can, but you still need
to take precautions. You know, when asbestos becomes airborne. It's
been traced back to some health problems now, so covering
(14:59):
cold their returns and things are important. As far as
the adhesive that's an asbestos adhesive. Also, there there are
some adhesive removers. One I would recommend is going to
a website called DuMond Global.
Speaker 6 (15:20):
And it's the U M O N D.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
I'm trying to think of its two MS or one M.
I think it's one M.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
I can find it.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Yeah, okay, yeah, it's just one M, Danny says. So
Command Global dot com. I think they have an asbestos remover.
There's also one at blue Bear dot com. They have
one called Beanie Doo. It's actually made of soybean oil.
That will also be an especial a an adhesive remover.
(15:50):
So that's you would you would not want to mechanically
remove that. You definitely want to chemically remove that. Both
of those that I recommended are very safety use on
the inside of the house without messing with, you know,
turning off any type of gas appliance or anything like that.
They're they're they're they're very safe to use. But those
(16:13):
would be the two i'd recommend of trying to remove that.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
Do I need to use any I mean so basically,
then the oscillation, any kind of an oscillation, is not
what we want. We want to do it by hand.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah. Yeah, Well that's why I said, you know, I'm
not You can do whatever you want to do. It's
just that if you're going to do it, you certainly
want to plastic off the area you want to cover
the cold air returns, vents and things like that. It
(16:47):
really depends on how difficult it's going to be to
remove one other thing. I asked her, and I'll ask
you the same question. I asked her. I said, why
are you removing that? She goes, I'm want to remove
it to paint the floor. Well, a lot of times
when you have tile like that, there's a lot of
tiles now that can go over that where you literally encapsulated,
(17:08):
you don't have to remove it. You'd have to disclose
that there's asbestos underneath it. But it's it's intact and
it's fine. There's waterproof laminate flooring, there's LVT. Those are
all designed to go right over tile.
Speaker 6 (17:28):
What if we wanted to put like a nature stone.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Over it, No, you'd want to take it off. Okay,
you'd want to take it off.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
Okay, for sure, that's what you would say.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yeah, yeah, okay, all right, that's what I needed to
find out about.
Speaker 6 (17:44):
And I really again I appreciate your call. Have a
blessed easter.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
And you do think, thank you very much, thank you.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Take care all right? Yeah, so the nature stone again,
whenever you're doing a coating, and nature stone is a coating,
it's small pebbles about the size of your little fingernail,
mixed with an epoxy solution that is trialed over a substrate.
(18:11):
Normally that would be over over a concrete it would
be acceptable to that epoxy. So a tile that that
asbestos tile becomes very brutal with age. In fact, if
you have that in a basement or something, what you've
(18:33):
probably experienced or maybe what even got you started on
that particular project, is a tile here and there would
become loose, and it would there would be no adhesive
on it. I mean you could just literally pick up
that tile and in other places it might be tight.
But you know, you just can't paint over tile that
(18:55):
may just become loose eventually through water or whatever. So yeah,
you'd want to definitely get that up. You've got to
get that adhesive up. Painting adhesive is never a good idea.
You want to get right down to that substrate, that concrete,
and you got to have that super clean and maybe
even etched uh for the nature stune. I don't believe
(19:17):
they etch it, but they usually do grind the slab.
So again they're gonna be hamstrung a little bit of
being able to grind that off unless you remove that
adhesive first. All right, coming up, we're gonna tackle some
projects with spring Cleaning. We have Bruce Shacko. He is
(19:38):

Speaker 8 (19:39):

Always good to see it, always good to be with you.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Planing to do this time of year, I find myself
very busy, and cleaning's part of it for sure.
Speaker 8 (22:49):
Well, absolutely, it's that time of year.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
Yeah, Well, we got you to help us with the
cleaning projects. I guess the first thing is, let's tell
everybody what Jawls is and if they missed, that's it
shame on them, because this is the greatest stuff in
cleaning products. Tell us about the bottles and the containers
and everything. It's a great.
Speaker 8 (23:07):
Story, fantastic. Well, it's all about a cartridge of concentrate
super concentrate that is diluted into a bottle over and
over again. It's an elegant, beautiful bottle designed for reuse
over and over again. Commercial great sprayer so that it
will go the life of probably twenty six refills, which
is awesome. And all you're going to do is you're
(23:27):
going to fill up your bottle with water, insert that
cartridge and when you tighten down on the sprayer releases
the super concentrate into the water. And away you go.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
And I did just that three days ago with the
kitchen degreaser. I certainly did. There was a little dribble
left on it. Oh gosh, I hope I'm not out
of that.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
I wasn't.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
I had a couple extra cartridges, and thirty seconds later
I was back in business.
Speaker 8 (23:50):
Well, you're not going to have a lot of extra
bottles around, but having Yestra cartridges around really comes and helps.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Yeah, and you got the bottles color coordinated, and you
got the micro fiber claws their color coordinated. The glass
cleaner's bluem one of my favorite products.
Speaker 8 (24:05):
Well, thank you. You know they're all non fuewing, non streaking,
wonderful cleaners to work with, and does really we have
cleaners for ninety five percent of the cleaning in the
house and so, but it's really nice to have the
extra refills around when you.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Need them, for sure. And then even the cleaner itself
is unique. We just came from a restaurant. We were
talking about the slippery four and soap and all that.
Being a pH neutral cleaner means a lot. A lot
of people don't understand that.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
It really does. It gives us great variety in terms
of surfaces, we can clean a lot of those newer
modern surfaces that are very expensive in the homes. We
can work with without hurting them and really doing a
great job cleaning them. But you get exact solutioned every
time because you fill up your bottle with water to
the fill line, insert the cartridge. When you tighten down
on a sprayer, you just may your next bottle. So
(24:57):
every time you're cleaning, you're getting exact the same result,
and you're not putting too much soap on the floor,
which we had this morning, right, made it a skating ring.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Right, and looked at lawsuit wait and apps.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
Well, somebody spent their time to clean it, and in
the end it was worse than when they started. I'm sure.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Well, I was talking about the kitchen degreas er. It
is a phenomenal product for cleaning grills and cleaning appliances.
But you have all kinds of products, including hardwood floor cleaners.
Speaker 8 (25:26):
Absolutely, and we do. And Wall Street Journal said it
was the best kitchen de greaser they'd ever worked with
on grills. Cooking Club of America they had all kinds
of different things oils and greases and things, and just
love the way the kitchen de grease are performed on
that surface. But yes, we have several other products that
we have within that lineup.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Which gets me to the conversation with spring cleaning. You
have project specific cleaners. You got disinfected, all purpose cleaners,
glass cleaners, kitchen cleaner, hardwood floor cleaner. I mean it
goes from shower cleaners. That goes on and on. And
a number of years ago when we got together, you said,
I want to introduce a caddy pack, and what's a
(26:07):
caddy pack?
Speaker 8 (26:08):
We did so we said, okay, how do we find
a great way to organize the cleaners that are going
into the home or office or business because we sell
a lot to commercial businesses as well, And so to
design a special caddy gary that has the ability to
put the cartridges inside. Oh, so you have a place
to put all those put all the bottles that you
want to use. It there and you're so you grab
(26:29):
your caddy, you go do your cleaning, and you put
it back where it belongs, and all the cleaners in
one spot, you know where they are. You have the
additional cartridges right there inside the caddy sure especially designed
for that purpose. And at the end of the day.
It gives you a way to do your cleaning without
having cleaners everywhere.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
You know, at my age, I like to have a
caddy right with me at all times. It's great. It's
got the cartridges, it's got the bottle. I mean, it's perfect,
it's absolutely perfect. So what's in the caddy. I'm sure
you got the glass cleaner.
Speaker 8 (26:57):
Yeah, So anyway, in the caddy, we have a spring
caddy pat that we put together. And in the spring
caddy you need a floor cleaner because you've had all
that slop through the winter. And again, I don't care
whether you have bamboo, hardwood, cultured marble. It doesn't matter
what surface you have on your floor. It'll clean it
all and clean it all well. So we have a
good floor cleaner in that caddy pack. We have the
(27:19):
Kitchen de Greaser, which I know is one of your favorite.
Speaker 6 (27:21):
I love that.
Speaker 8 (27:22):
I'm going to start doing a lot of grilling. You
got a lot of clean to do, and you know
we have Easter and other celebrations during the time, so
having extra carters around to make sure you get the
cleaning done before the guests arrive is great. The glass cleaner,
of course, we're doing a lot of glass cleaner, this
time cleaning a lot of glass. But again the ammonia
alcohol or a butle in there. So you can use
it on your big screen TVs computer screens, and great
(27:44):
way to watch baseball without looking through that easy lens
and all that stuff and basketball right now. But at
the end of the day, just a wonderful glass cleaner
that a Good Housekeeping said of seventy seventeen they tested,
it was the only one that didn't straight. It's just
a fabulous product there.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
And then we all see Purpose clean Multiply is.
Speaker 8 (28:05):
One of our newer entrances. Is definitely the fastest growing
item we have. It's you know, it's got a wonderful
lavender fragrance, but in terms of cleaning a thousand different
it's designed for mechanical greases to your lawn equipment that
you're getting out to your golf clubs, gary to your
car wheels lower with it, to your mowers. Yeah there
(28:26):
you go. Great, fantastic, but it does a great job
in terms of cleaning a thousand and one different surfaces.
And it is really that all purpose cleaner that can
do things inside out.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
And these are in the cattypack.
Speaker 8 (28:37):
These are all in the candy pack, absolutely, and then
we throw in a little extra here, like so we're
throwing an extra. That cream cleanser with that oxygenated bleach
that you say is just one of your favorite prop products.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
I'm telling you the cream cleanser, honest to goodness, I
use as much or more than anything.
Speaker 6 (28:53):
I tell you.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
I'm dirty, I'll tell you, And this is something no
one has ever told you about that product. I guarantee you.
It's great for toilets, great for showers, hard to clean places.
I went through a car washed and you know how
the nylon scuffs sometimes on a pain. I thought, sure,
there's a little grit in that Jaws cleaner. It took
(29:16):
it off. Oh my good.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
It really has one thousand and one. It's just a
it's a thick fifty thousand cent pois. So it's very thick.
It stays we're supposed to be. It has tremendous cleaning qualities.
It has a jeweler's grade rousion there to give it
a little extra polishing capabilities that you're referring to without scratching.
That's you know, sand, it's powdered cleansers. They have sand
and it's it's edges. It looks like a diamond. This
(29:38):
stuff is oval and it really is a nice, nice
product to work with. So that's in there, and then
I need to keep going here because we also have
your next favorite product, which is the dish spray, right yeah,
filling up your water yeah, rather than filling up your
sink with stuff with with whatever and putting how much
soap do you put in to get it right? And
and then you're cleaning dishes a long with other dishes,
(30:01):
and you're distributing grease around and all that other stuff.
Simply you get done with that wine glass. Just spray
spray it. We give you a brush that comes along
with it. You brush it, you rinse it, you racket
and you're done. You can do it, whether plates, pots, pans, whatevers.
It has really anything that you utensils. But rather than
(30:22):
using your dishwasher, you know, we used to have a
bunch of kids around now we don't, and so clean
that pot or that pan or the dish you know,
right then would be great. And so it's a dish spray.
There's been companies out there talking about the way you've
done it for fifty years is wrong. This is the
right way to go about it. But it's a wonderful
dish spray with a nice lemon fragrance and cuts greases
(30:43):
and oils and things that you would find in a
cooking environment.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Now those are all in the caddy pat and the
caddy pat and it also comes with the microfiber towels absolutely,
which my wife is convinced. Those towels are like secret
Lease awesome or something. And the sponge for the cream cleanser. Yeah,
I mean we use it all the time.
Speaker 8 (31:02):
Anything you're gonna put in that kit's going to be
first class or we're not going to do it.
Speaker 6 (31:05):
Yep.
Speaker 8 (31:05):
And secondly, those towels are awesome towels, and their color
cordinated to each product. So if you're doing glass, you'll
have the blue, if you're doing the bathroom, you'll have
the purple, if you're doing the decreasing, you'll have the orange,
and so they color coordinate back to the labels and
the color of the product that you're using at the time.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
All right, So now we got to talk about how
to get it. It's Jaws cleans dot com. Somebody roote
me the other day say you're Sohio, is it Jaws
or Jawls. You're saying, it's Jaws Jaws cleans dot com.
And you got a special on a caddypack.
Speaker 9 (31:38):
We do.
Speaker 8 (31:38):
We do twenty percent off promo code Carry twenty percent off.
And so that fifty dollars caddypac which gives you eight cleaners,
the wipes and all the other stuff. Also, it cost
you about forty bucks. That's delivered to your door. You
don't have to leave your house. Okay, we'll have to
spend that gas money, all right, And at the end
of the day we have them in stock of thousands
(32:00):
of them ready to go. And so, but it's prombo
code Gary twenty percent off and that gives you, really
I've said, four different products, eight cartridges. But it also
gives you the dish spray, which is two more cartridges.
Gives you the cream cleaner, which is another cleaning product,
as well as the wipes and the other tools and
the caddy.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Now, what happens if I get on your website and
I see other cleaners I want or can I mix
and match on the Okay.
Speaker 8 (32:26):
So we've had we listened to your listeners, and first
of all, we sold you a lot of disinfectant during
the disinfect we had a little thing going earlier this year.
Everybody was freaked out about the flu, which six hundred
and sixty thousand people died from. I think I understand that,
but it was just a terrible, terrible flu season and
the disinfectant that we had our show. You asked if
(32:46):
we could come on and talk about it. We did
and sold a lot of disinfectant and a lot of
extra cartridges go along with them. So you're really covered
there and we thank you for that. My purpose is
to say thank you audience for your support. But at
the end end of the day, people have asked us,
can't we make up our own caddy You know, I
want to give it as a gift. I want to
use it my bed.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
You said yes, I said yes.
Speaker 8 (33:10):
I absolutely said yes. And so you know the thing
is having a caddy pack, a cleaning pack that you
can do on your own. Do you want the Because
we have a wonderful granite and stone cleaner that polishes
the stone, makes it of twenty five percent brighter, then
we'll not hurt that. Ten years from now, your stone's
going to look great in terms of cleaning leave no
(33:30):
streaks even on the blackstone, which is almost impossible not
have to leave streaks on and stuff. So we have
some other products that we have available in our system.
So if you want to add the disinfectant rather than
the floor cleaner, or you want to put the granite
polish there, fine rather than I don't know something else.
You make your choices. So for fifty four dollars less
(33:53):
than twenty percent discount, you can make up your own.
You get four different cleaners. We throw in the cream cleanser,
which is something eighty four percent of the hotels in
the world use the scream cleanser to clean their surfaces.
For you, eighty four percent of the in the world
is huge. But at the end of the day, uh,
you know, being able to make up your own. We
(34:13):
throw in the dishpray too, because at that time you're outside,
you're you're eating outside, you're doing what a nice way
to be able to clean up your dishes and stuff
before we bring them into the house.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
You should sound excited.
Speaker 6 (34:24):
I am.
Speaker 8 (34:25):
I love cleaning, you know, I love you know Gary,
the comments we get on our emails, you know, and
you know our site just warmed my heart. You know,
we worked hard at this. We've been able to We've
sold over one hundred and seventy million cartridges now Gary,
so that number keeps growing. Since we started, I was
hoping to sell a man and and we certainly have
exceeded that based on the support that we have here.
(34:48):
But really just so many great comments in terms of
the way and Gary. Of all the things that we've
done well, number one was getting with you, sending this
stuff to you all those years ago. And I can't
tell you how hard as to wait for Gary to
respond to say, oh, I really like your cleaners, let's
go do something, because he will talk about nothing unless
he really knows that it's going to perform. And that's
(35:10):
for your listeners, you need to understand that. But at
the end of the day, that was just a great
moment for us. And secondly, making sure that the cleaners
were modern day. It's a modern day cleaning system for
the modern day home. And if we didn't have modern
day cleaners that performed to a very very high level,
why would you buy a second cartridge if you didn't
like the first one, why would you buy a second?
(35:31):
And that's why sixty eight percent of anybody Gary that
has ever bought a bottle continues to buy cartridges today.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Well, very good, Bruce, thanks for coming on with us.
We're going to recap here.
Speaker 6 (35:41):
So the.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Caddy pack with the five cleaners and the dish spray
and the cream cleanser, that's forty nine to ninety five
less than twenty percent of Promote code is Gary. If
you pick your own, it's fifty four dollars. Promote code
Gary and man get it. Get cleaning.
Speaker 8 (36:02):
Oh it's that time of the year. Get extra cartridges.
You know the commercial guys will buy. We have them
in twenty four packs for people who want twenty four.
Some houses will do it just because they want them around. Sure,
but if you're a commercial cleaner, what a great way
to clean. Filling a bottle and a sprayer and all
the other is expensive. Filling the cartridge, which is about
the size of a roll of Nichols, is a lot
(36:22):
less expensive, so you can buy more and get better,
you know, value for it.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, if people need more cartridges, maybe they got that.
Speaker 8 (36:30):
Can they just get on Absolutely anything you buy on

Speaker 4 (40:11):
I have I have a metal roof. It's about twenty
one years old and it's black, but it looks gray.
So it did it make something that you could stray
on there to clean the oxidation off?
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Uh yeah, well yeah, yeah, you can mix your own
just using. First of all, it probably won't be as
easy as just spraying something on it. It'll be there'll
be some scrubbing involved in things like that. Were you
going to have this done or is this something that?
And the reason I'd say, it's a metal roof so
(40:46):
you know, you got to have the right equipment to rubber,
sold shoes, safety harnesses and all that. Got to find
a nice, cool, dry day to do it. But there
are companies. In fact, go Ahead.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Would probably have a company come and do it.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
Okay, all right. The only reason I ask is I
am actually having somebody that does that on around twelve
thirty to day. So just throwing that out there. There
is mixtures like for oxidation. I would say two things
come to mind. One of them would be vinegar and
water pretty much one one solution mixed and a little
(41:25):
bit of dishwashing soap to help it. Cling on, spray
scrub and rints. There are also in do you know
what brand of metal roofing you have?
Speaker 6 (41:38):
No?
Speaker 4 (41:38):
It was on here when I bought.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Okay, I'm gonna give you a website. It's the industry's
websites called metalroofing dot Com. I would see if they
have a commercial cleaner form metal roofing, just check, don't know,
and then the other thing would be using a tri
(42:00):
sodium phosphate and water. So I remember I cleaned houses before,
and it's kind of harsh. You spread it on, let's
sit for ten minutes or so, and you scrub. The
one thing I'd be careful is that you don't remove
the finish. And you know, when paint on metals aluminium
(42:21):
or steel begin to oxidize, that paints breaking down. I
remember this one house I did years and years ago.
I started. It was white siding that looked gray. It
oxidized that bad and as I was scrubbing it, there
was parts of it where the aluminum started shining through
because that pain had thoroughly oxidized off. The warranty I
(42:45):
think for finishes on metal roof is usually twenty five years.
The roofing itself is warranted usually for fifty years. So
another option is maybe you're getting that period where you
need to have it painted, so I'm just throwing it.
Speaker 6 (43:03):
You know.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
Obviously some options out there, but if you're not gonna
do it yourself. There there's a company called Rolling SuDS
there's a lot of house washing companies out there. You
might double check with them to see the cost and
see if they can do that work for you, because
if it's a steep roof and a metal roof, it's
(43:24):
gonna take it a lot of you know, safety equipment. Right,
it's not real good good.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
But still the screws sticking up and the ribs in
it and it's a trip hazard.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Right, You're doing right, right, right, So you can check
to see if there's an easier commercial way. I'm not
familiar with it, but I know trying phosphate's a good
old standby vendinger and water probably be more trouble than
it's work, to be honest.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
Okay, all right, all right, thanks for you.
Speaker 1 (43:55):
You're quite welcome.
Speaker 6 (43:56):
Thank you. All right.
