Speaker 1 (00:20):
Well, it's a weekend Welcome Aboard at Home with Gary Salvin.
A very happy Easter to all, and this hour is
brought to you by Easy Breathe. It's April is Healthy
Homes Awareness Month, and right now you can save twenty
percent off during the month of April. Plus also a
free humidity monitoring kit that comes with a homeowner's guide
to manage the amenity inside your home. Check it out.

(00:44):
It's the letter E, the letter zbreed dot com and
the coupunk code is Gary. All right. Uh, Like I said,
happy Easter. We have a delightful morning where I am
and I hope you do the same. If you have
a question about a project you're getting ready to work on,
or maybe a little maintenance that you want to perform

(01:04):
on your home. Maybe you took that walk around the
home and you saw something that just doesn't look right
and you want to know how to take care of
those issues. We can talk about it and we'll have
a chat. You can dial us in at eight hundred
eight two three eight two five five. That's eight hundred
a two three a two five five. You know, one

(01:27):
of the things in this time of year, we always
talk a lot about decks and concrete, and I'd like
to kind of address a couple we had several calls
yesterday about patching garage floors and ceiling driveways and how
does that really help. And of course that really helps
in the winter to keep the salts, the road salts

(01:48):
from messing up the surface of our concrete. But even
more than that, what it doesn't minimizes the moisture penetration
into the concrete, which means the driveway, the PAVR bricks,
the patio would stay wetter longer from morning dew like
in the summertime, and then you got the organic materials,

(02:10):
and that really perpetuates the growth of molds, mildews, and fungus.
So I'm not saying it's going to totally eradicate that.
But once you clean that concrete slab off, if that's
what you're cleaning is funguses and different things like that,
go ahead and seal it. You want to breatheable sealer.

(02:31):
It's one that would contain slockxane. And again it just
allows it to drive faster because it doesn't the moisture
doesn't penetrate into the concrete, which minimizes the growth of
the molds and mildews. And that is really why you're
doing It's gonna from a curb, a pel standpoint, from

(02:52):
a health standpoint of the concrete ceiling is very important.
And on a horizontal surface like a driveway or sidewalk, know,
you're gonna get three to five years and depending on
the ceiler. But I think really I would look at
doing it about every three years, and that's that's a
good time frame. And you can usually on a penetrating

(03:14):
seiler like that, you can apply it really easy. You
don't have to use a roller, you don't have to
use a paintbrush. You can just put it in the
tanks prayer and just missed it. And when you missed it,
it would be like you hit a misty rain, you know.
It just kind of dampens the concrete, changes the color.
There is no puddling or anything along those lines. In fact,

(03:37):
you do not want it to puddle because if it
does puddle, there'll be a little shiny spot there. All right, again,
the numbers eight hundred eighty two, three, eight two, five
five and Harry you lead us off. Welcome, Yeah, good morning,
Gary morning.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I got a little flagpole an extension one, and I
was for a while and had some water down inside
of it. Again, when I set it up, it hits
some black like an oxendation on it, and I just, uh,
don't know what. I've been trying everything and get that off,

(04:14):
but there it won't come off.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Well, I guess what we got to do first is
figure out what in the world it is. Right, I
had it on another one.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I had that with sectional two and I don't know,
I just couldn't get it off.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Hm.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
It's not a shiny aluminum black pole. It's one of them, like,
I don't know. It's not shiny though.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
It's kind of like a tube aluminum tube. It's kind
of a matt finish rather than a shiny finish.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, So what if you tried, maybe we can figure
out what it is by going in?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
It called Purple Power. Yeah, and I think it's supposed
to be for aluminum, but I looked all over it,
didn't you know? It said a about everything, but I
didn't see where they actually say aluminum. Now, do they
have different brands of that Blue Power?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
No, that purple Purple Power is very good. It's a
good Uh, it's a it's a good fungus, an algae cleaner.
If it's aluminum. You know, if it's aluminum, it's not rust,
so we can take that off. The one of the
things aluminum gets sometimes and usually purple out power would
quite honestly do it. I'm thinking like maybe more of

(05:31):
like a magic erasers, the mister Clean's magic eraser. It's
usually used in showers and it cleans like shower door
frames and things like that which are aluminum. And again
it wouldn't be rust, it would be something on the
surface and and oxidation really wouldn't be black on aluminum.

(05:54):
Oxidation would almost be whitish in a vinegar vinegar water,
so would sometimes take care of that, maybe one to one.
So I'm you tried bleach and things like that, I'm sure,
and if it's mold, that might take care of it.
But uh, I'd try like a magic eraser, I really would.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Okay, I got one of them. I'll give it a try.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Yeah. Another one that might work on that is, uh,
barkeeper's friend, which is barkeeper's friends. Yeah, yeah, try try
one of those. Let me know if you get it off.
But both of those would be would take care of
if there was oxidation it would take care of that.

(06:40):
And there are some aluminum polishes, but it sounds like
you need more of a cleaner than a polish.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, it would just shine to be shiny.
That's all right, right, alrighty, all right for you.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
You're quite welcome. Enjoy the day, and let me give
everybody the phone note they can join us as we're
talking a little home improvement on this Easter. It's eight
hundred eight two three eight two five five and Richard, welcome.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Good day Gary. How are you, sir?

Speaker 1 (07:12):
I'm doing fine, thank you.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
I'm about to undertake a project of painting my front door,
which is a metal door that has rust. How would
I approach that and what product would be good to use?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah, so tell me about the rust. Okay, So a
metal door, it would be painted. Is it rusted at
the bottom, yes, at the corners, right, yeah, that's usually
where it gets.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Is it a scaly rust or is it just kind
of a little light surface rust?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
A little of both.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Okay, But if you went to get aggressive of removing
that rust, you wouldn't You wouldn't poke through it or anything,
would you.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Okay, there's a couple of ways. I'll give you the
easy way first. I'm all about easy, Richard. I'm all
about easy. There's products out there called rust neutralizer and
rust reformer, and they're not pain They are a chemical

(08:17):
that reacts with iron oxide. You can it comes on
where you spray it on. You can brush it.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
On and you don't really you'd have to scrape and
get the loose pieces of rust off, but you don't
have to knock yourself out here.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
So spray it on. The chemical reaction will take place
and it'll turn the rust black. Okay, and then it
functions as a primer because it's sealed the rust in.
At that point you can come and just paint it,
pain over it, no primers needed. That's option one. Option

(08:59):
two would be wirebrush or sandpaper and sand it down smooth.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
What grit I just coming just even if you have
a sanding sponge like a medium grid, it's really gonna
depend on how thick the rust is. I mean, if
it's really chunky and flicky, and you know, you almost
got to use a course. If you want to go
with a medium grit, that's fine. If jeez, if it's
just a very little surface rush you could probably use

(09:29):
a four hundred wet dry paper, but I'd say a
medium sanding sponge just kind of knock it off and
you know, get it down where you can see the
metal instead of the rust, and then use a red
metal primer like a rustolium red metal primer, and then
a finished coat on top of that.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Okay, that sounds great, all right, all right, I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
All right, have ed it. Thank you, Richard, take care,
bye bye. All right, and we're talking about your home
projects and yeah, I know maybe you're getting together with
the family off the church, but we can talk about
projects that you're going to be working on maybe a
little further down the season. Again, it's eight hundred eight
two three eight two five five, Margot, you'll be up first.

Got to do our homework before we start those projects,

(13:37):
that's for sure. Margo. Welcome, Hi Gary, Happy Easter, Happy
Easter view.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
Love your show. We've got too little, Well, I don't
know our roof. We've got like gravel or you know,
a little sand coming off of it this year, and
I've never seen that before.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Okay, how old you think that roof, Margot?

Speaker 6 (14:01):
Well, I was trying to remember, you know, when we
had we had the hurricane, and then we had the hailstorm,
so we got a new roof, and then two years
later we had to get another new roof.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
So that hurricane, if I'm not mistaken, was like October
of eight.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
You got a better memory than me.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Well, the only reason my daughter was playing soccer in
college and we're driving home in it and I think
she was a senior. Then I think she was a senior,
and it's like, holy cow, what's going on? So so
I think that's what it was. It was eight or nine.
So if that was when you got that roof, that
puts us in about fifteen years, right, is right?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Yeah, yeah, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen years. So most roofs usually.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
Are a twenty five year roof for a thirty year
roof and usually get about eighty percent of that life.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
So you know you're you're close. So here here's the deal.
That's seeing that you see on the surface of the shingles.
The purpose of that is to block the UV rays
of the sun, and when that shingle begins to age,

(15:20):
just like us, we become brittle and it sheds that sand.
So you start seeing a lot of sand in the gutter.
Other things you'll see is the corners of the shingles curl,
maybe fractures or cracks in a shingle or two, maybe
a missing shingle or two. Those are the telltale signs

(15:42):
that that roof is aging, and you might want to
have somebody take a look at it. So that's what
I do. I would get you know, one or two
roofers out there, take a look at it, get their
opinion on it. And you know, they may tell you, oh, yeah,
you need one, or they may say you might get
another three years out of that, but start planning on it.

(16:03):
But I think that's the story. You're going to get one.

Speaker 7 (16:06):
Of those, Okay, I just I just I've never noticed.
I've seen it before in the gutter, but this time
it's like coming right I don't know. We've had so
much wind and heavy rains lately. I'm thinking, well, maybe
it's just extreme.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
But well, it's probably exacerbated. The situation is probably that
grain on the surface is getting a little loose, and
then you have heavy rains and heavy wind, and you
know you're going to move that that time frame up
a little bit. Even standing down on the ground with
some binoculars and just kind of going over the surface
of the roof and see if you start seeing some

(16:42):
bare spots, yeah, you know where that sand is removed,
because you know you're losing some of it, So you
start seeing bare spots, that's pretty much a sign that
it's probably time to replace it. Because once that sun
really starts hitting on that with no protection, it's like
no sun screen, right, it's just gonna it's just gonna

(17:03):
start cracking and drying out and you know fail.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
Okay, I had one other question. We had a new
a new driveway put in last year and there's a
little it's a little hairline crack, but there's a crack
going down one of the sections already.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Is it in the center of the slab or is it? Yes,
it is, hmm, Well, you know you probably can't put
a pencil lead in it, right, No, it's very tiny, right,
very tiny. But I agree with you. You know, the old
adage is the only thing concrete is guaranteed to do

(17:42):
is crack. However, you know, those expansion joints and different
things you know in the slabs are really designed to
be the weakest part of that concrete slab, and it
when they're stress, the crack is more likely to go
in that expansion joint yours, isn't I get that. I

(18:05):
would leave it alone. I wouldn't try to patch it
until it got a little larger, and it may not
move anymore. But once it's as big as I always
use the guide. If you take a pencil and that
pencil lead fits in there, you can use a product
called crack seal, which is about the consistency of maple syrup,

(18:30):
and you literally just pour that in. The Only reason
you're filling that is to just minimize water from getting
under there and causing erosion, you know, causing a potential problem.
But quite honestly, my concrete slab on my driveway is
at twenty six years old. I probably patched a crack

(18:50):
similar to that, probably fifteen years ago, and I was
looking at it the other day when I mowed the grass,
and that patch is still the It hasn't got any
of course or anything. So you know, I really don't
know what it's gonna do. But that's how you would
address it.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
I'm just worried.

Speaker 6 (19:10):
After just one year. It's like, oh no, what's gonna happen?

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah, well, I probably wouldn't hesitate to still if you
had the concrete company, just let them know, go on
the record. It's probably not going to be any good,
but let them know. You know, like I said there,
it's not going to be warranted or anything, but let
them know. See if they got any thoughts too. All Right,
we'll continue with your calls at Home with Gary Sullivan.

Speaker 8 (22:35):
Always good to see it, Always good to be with.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
You planing to do this time of year, I find
myself very busy, and cleaning's part of it for sure.

Speaker 8 (22:43):
Well, absolutely, it's that time of year.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Yeah, well, we got you to help us with the
cleaning projects. I guess. The first thing is, let's tell
everybody what Jawls is and if they missed it, shame
on them, because this is the greatest stuff in cleaning products.
Tell us about the bottles, so the containers and everything.
It's a great story, fantastic. Well, it's all about a
cartridge of concentrate super concentrate that is diluted into a

(23:08):
bottle over and over again. It's an elegant, beautiful bottle
designed for reuse over and over again, commercial grade sprayer
so that it will go the life of probably twenty
six refills, which is awesome. And all you're going to
do is you're going to fill up your bottle with water,
insert that cartridge and when you tighten down on the
sprayer releases the super concentrate into the water and away

(23:30):
you go. And I did just that three days ago
with the kitchen degreaser. I certainly did. There was a
little dribble left on it. Oh, gosh, I hope I'm
not out of that. I wasn't. I had a couple
extra cartridges, and thirty seconds later I was back in business.

Speaker 8 (23:44):
Well, you're not going to have a lot of extra
bottles around, but having extra cartridges around really comes and helps.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah, and you got the bottles color coordinated, and you
got the microfiber claws their color coordinated. The glass cleaner's
bluem one of my favorite.

Speaker 8 (24:00):
Well, thank you. You know, they're all non fuewing, non streaking,
wonderful cleaners to work with, and does really we have
cleaners for ninety five percent of the cleaning in the
house and so but it's really nice to have the
extra refills around when you.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Need them, for sure. And then even the cleaner itself
is unique. We just came from a restaurant. We were
talking about the slippery four and soap and all that.
Being a pH neutral cleaner means a lot. A lot
of people don't understand.

Speaker 8 (24:30):
That it really does. It gives us great variety in
terms of surfaces. We can clean a lot of those
newer modern surfaces that are very expensive in the homes.
We can work with without hurting them and really doing
a great job cleaning them. But you get exactly illlutioned
every time because you fill up your bottle with water
to the fill line, insert the cartridge. When you tighten
down on this sprayer, you just made your next bottle.

(24:52):
So every time you're cleaning, you're getting exactly the same result,
and you're not putting too much soap on the floor,
which we had this morning. Right, it's made it a
skating ring.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Right, we looked at a lawsuit waiting apps.

Speaker 8 (25:03):
Well, somebody spent their time to clean it and in
the end it was worse than when they started.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
I'm sure. Well, I was talking about the kitchen degreaser.
It is a phenomenal product for cleaning grills and cleaning appliances,
but you have all kinds of products, including hardwood floor cleaners, absolutely,
and we do.

Speaker 8 (25:21):
And Wall Street Journal said it was the best kitchen
de greaser they'd ever worked with on grills. Cooking Club
of America they had all kinds of different things oils
and greases and things, and just love the way the
kitchen de grease are performed on that surface. But yes,
we have several other products that we have within that lineup.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Which gets me to the conversation with Spring cleaning. You
have project specific cleaners, you got disinfected, all purpose cleaners,
glass cleaners, kitchen cleaner, hardwood floor cleaner. I mean it
goes bathroom, shower cleaners, It goes on and on. And
a number of years ago when we got together, you said,
they introduce a caddy pack, and what's a caddy pack?

Speaker 8 (26:03):
We did so we said, okay, how do we find
a great way to organize the cleaners that are going
into the home or office or business because we sell
a lot to commercial businesses as well, and so to
design a special caddy Gary that has the ability to put.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
The cartridges inside. Oh, so you.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
Have a place to put all those put all the
bottles that you want to use. It there and you're so,
you grab your caddy, you go do your cleaning, and
you put it back where it belongs, and all the
cleaners in one spot, you know where they are. You
have the additional cartridges right there inside the caddy sure
especially designed for that purpose. And at the end of
the day, it gives you a way to do your
cleaning without having cleaners everywhere.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
You know. At my age, I like to have a
caddy right with me. At all times. It's great. It's
got the cartridges, it's got the bottle. I mean, it's perfect,
it's absolutely perfect. So what's in the caddy. I'm sure
you got the glass cleaner.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
Yeah, So anyway, in the caddy we have a spring
caddy pack that we put together. And in the spring
caddy you need a floor cleaner because you've had all
that slop through the winter. And again, I don't care
whether you have bamboo, hardwood, cultured marble. It doesn't matter
what surface you have on your floor. It'll clean it
all and clean it all well. So we have a
good floor cleaner in that caddy pack. We have the

(27:14):
Kitchen de Greaser, which I know is one of your favorite.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
I love that.

Speaker 8 (27:16):
I'm going to start doing a lot of grilling. You
got a lot of clean to do, and you know
we have Easter and other celebrations during the time, so
having extra carter is around make sure you get the
cleaning done before the guests arrive is great. The glass cleaner,
of course, we're doing a lot of glass cleaner this time,
cleaning a lot of glass. But again, the ammonia alcohol
or a butle in there so you can use it
on your big screen TVs computer screens, and great way

(27:39):
to watch baseball without looking through that hazy lens and
all that stuff and basketball right now. But at the
end of the day, just a wonderful glass cleaner that
Good Housekeeping said of seventy seventeen they tested, it was
the only one that didn't streak. So it's just a
fabulous product there. And then we all see purpose clean
multipurpose of our newer entrance is definitely the fastest growing

(28:02):
item we have. It's you know, it's got a wonderful
lavender fragrance, but in terms of cleaning a thousand different
it's designed for mechanical greases to your lawn equipment that
you're getting out to your golf clubs, gary, to your car.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Wheels lower with it, to your mowers. Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 8 (28:21):
Great, fantastic, But it does a great job in terms
of cleaning a thousand and one different surfaces. And it
is really that all purpose cleaner that can do things
inside out.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
And these are in the cattypack.

Speaker 8 (28:31):
These are all in the caddy pack absolutely, and then
we throw in a little extra here, I like, so
we're throwing an extra that cream cleanser with that oxygenated
bleach that you say is just one of your favorite
prop products.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
I'm telling you the cream cleanser, Honest to goodness, I
use as much or more than anything. I tell you.
I'm dirty, I'll tell you, And this is something no
one has ever told you about that product. I guarantee you.
It's great for toilets, great for showers, hard to clean places.
I went through a car washed and you know how

(29:04):
the nylon scuffs sometimes on a pain. I thought, sure,
there's a little grit that Jaws cleaner. It took it off.
Oh my good.

Speaker 8 (29:12):
It really has one thousand and one. It's just a
it's a thick, fifty thousand center poiss. So it's very thick.
It stays we're supposed to be. It has tremendous cleaning qualities.
It has a Jeweler's grade rousion there to give it
a little extra polishing capabilities that you're referring to without scratching.
That's you know, sand, its powdered cleansers. They have sand
and it's it's edges. It looks like a diamond. This

(29:33):
stuff is oval and it really is a nice, nice
product to work with. So that's in there. And then
I need to keep going here because we also have
your next favorite product, which is the dish spray, right, yeah,
help filling up your water, yeah, rather than filling up
your sink with stuff with with whatever and putting how
much soap do you put in to get it right?
And and then you're cleaning dishes along with other dishes,

(29:55):
and you're distributing grease.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Around and all that other stuff.

Speaker 8 (29:59):
Simply you get with that wine glass, just spray spray it.
We give you a brush that comes along with it.
You brush it, you rinse it, you racket.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
And you're done.

Speaker 8 (30:09):
You can do it, whether plates, pots, pans, whatevers. It
has really anything that you utensils. But rather than using
your dishwasher, you know, we used to have a bunch
of kids around now we don't, and so clean that
pot or that pan or the dish you know right
then would be great. And so it's a it's a
dish spray. There's been companies out there talking about the

(30:30):
way you've done it for fifty years is wrong. This
is the right way to go about it. But it's
a wonderful dishpray with a nice lemon fragrance and cuts
greases and oils and things that you would find in
the cooking environment.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Now those are all in the caddy pat and the
caddy pat and it also comes with the microfiber towels absolutely,
which my wife is convinced those towels are like secret lease,
awesome or something. And the sponge for the cream cleanser,
Oh yeah, I mean we use it all the time.

Speaker 8 (30:56):
Anything you put in that kid's going to be first
class or we're not going to do it. And secondly,
those towels are awesome towels, and they are color cordinated
each product. So if you're doing glass, you'll have the blue,
if you're doing the bathroom, you'll have the purple, if
you're doing the decreasing, you'll have the orange, and so
they color coordinate back to the labels and the color
of the product that you're using at the time.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
All right, so now we got to talk about how
to get it. It's Jaws cleans dot com. Somebody wrote
me the other day. I say, you're sohio, is it
Jaws or Jawls. You're saying it's Jaws Jaws cleans dot com.
And you got a special on the caddy pack.

Speaker 8 (31:32):
We do we do twenty percent off promo code Carry
twenty percent off. And so the fifty dollars Caddypac which
gives you eight cleaners, the wipes and all the other stuff.
Also it cost you about forty bucks. That's delivered to
your door. You don't have to leave your house. Okay,
we'll have to spend that gas money, all right. And
at the end of the day we have them in stock.

(31:53):
We have thousands of them ready to go. And so
but it's promo code Gary twenty percent off, and that
gives you, really I've said, four different products, eight cartridges.
But it also gives you the dish spray, which is
two more cartridges, gives you the cream cleaner, which is
another cleaning product, as well as the wipes and the
other tools and the caddy.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Now what happens if I get on your website and
I see other cleaners I want or can I mix
and match.

Speaker 8 (32:19):
On the Okay, So we've had we listened to your listeners.
And first of all, we sold you a lot of
disinfectant during the disfec. We had a little thing going
earlier this year. Everybody was freaked out about the flu
which six hundred and sixty thousand people died from I
think I understand that, but it was just a terrible,
terrible flu season and the disinfectant that we had our show.

(32:40):
You asked if we could come on to talk about it.
We did and sold a lot of disinfectant and a
lot of extra cartridges go along with them. So you're
really covered there and we thank you for that. My
purpose is to say thank you audience for your support.
But at the end of the day, people have asked us,
can't we make up our own caddy You know, I
want to give it as a gift. I want to

(33:00):
use it my bed.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
You said yes, I said yes. I absolutely said yes.

Speaker 8 (33:05):
And so you know the thing is having a caddy pack,
a cleaning pack that you can do on your own.
Do you want the Because we have a wonderful granite
and stone cleaner that polishes the stone, makes it of
twenty five percent brighter, then will not hurt that ten
years from now, your stone's going to look great in
terms of cleaning. Leave the snow streaks even on the

(33:25):
black stone, which is almost impossible. I have to leave
streaks on and stuff. So we have some other products
that we have available in our system. So if you
want to add the disinfectant rather than the floor cleaner,
or you want to put the granite polish there, fine
rather than I don't know something else.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
You make your choices.

Speaker 8 (33:45):
So for fifty four dollars less than twenty percent discount, okay,
you can make up your own. You get four different cleaners.
We throw in the cream cleanser, which is something eighty
four percent of the hotels in the world use this
scream cleanser to clean their surfaces. For four percent of
the in the world is huge. But at the end
of the day, you know, being able to make up

(34:06):
your own. We throw in the dishpray too, because at
that time you're outside, You're you're eating outside, you're doing
what a nice way to be able to clean up
your dishes and stuff before we bring them into the house.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
You just sound excited. I am. I love cleaning, you know,
I love you know, Gary.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
The comments we get on our emails, you know, and
you know our site just warmed my heart.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
You know.

Speaker 8 (34:29):
We worked hard at this. We've been able to have
sold over one hundred and seventy million cartridges now, Gary,
so that number keeps growing. Since we started. I was
hoping to sell a man, and we certainly have exceeded
that based on the support that we have here. But
really just so many great comments in terms of the
way and Gary. Of all the things that we've done, well,
number one was getting with you, sending this.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Stuff to you all those years ago.

Speaker 8 (34:51):
And I can't tell you how hard it was to
wait for Gary to respond to say, Oh, I really
like your cleaners, let's go do something, because he will
talk about nothing thing unless he really knows that it's.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Going to perform.

Speaker 8 (35:02):
Is very and that's for your listeners, you need to
understand that. But at the end of the day, that
was just a great moment for us. And secondly, making
sure that the cleaners were modern day. It's a modern
day cleaning system for the modern day home. And if
we didn't have modern day cleaners that performed to a
very very high level, why would you buy a second cartridge?
If you didn't like the first one, why would you

(35:23):
buy a second? And that's why sixty eight percent of
anybody Gary that has ever bought a bottle continues to
buy cartridges today.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Well, very good, Bruce, thanks for coming on with us.
We're going to recap here so the the catty pack
with the five cleaners and the dish spray and the
cream cleanser. That's forty nine ninety five less than twenty
percent of promo code is Gary. If you pick your own,
it's fifty four dollars promo code Gary and uh man,

(35:54):
get it. Get cleaning.

Speaker 8 (35:56):
Oh it's that time of the year. Get extra cartridges.
You know the commercial guys will buy. We have them
in twenty four packs for people who want twenty four
Some houses will do it just because they want them around. Sure,
but if you're a commercial cleaner, what a great way
to clean. Filling a bottle and a sprayer and all
these is expensive. Filling the cartridge, which is about the
size of a roll of Nichols, is a lot less expensive,

(36:17):
so you can buy more and get better, you know,
value for it.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Yeah, if people need more cartridges, maybe they got that.
Can they just get one.

Speaker 8 (36:25):
Absolute anything you buy on our site promo code Gary.
Along with the cats you add add some extra car
and an extra dozen cartridges. If you want, you get
the twenty percent off.

Speaker 1 (36:35):

but the other day when you had that extra your kitchen.

(39:47):
All right, you're at home with Gary Slvin talking a
little home improvement, a little cleaning again. That website is
Jawsjaws cleans dot com, and take advantage of that sale
and check out some of the cleaners. We've been talking
a little home improvement. It seems like it was also cleaning.
It was cleaning rust off an entry door and also

(40:10):
cleaning oxidation off aluminum pole flake bole. But you know,
one of the things we also chatted about briefly was concrete.
And I know our eyes do have a tendency to
go to heartscapes this time of year looking for you
don't look for them, you just see them the surface

(40:30):
of concrete spawling or cracks running through the concrete and
taking care of those and also the other big deals
decks doing deck inspections and how we're going to preserve
that roofing. Of course, so we're going to be doing
a lot of work on the outside, and it really
does pay to, you know, correct the problems that are there,

(40:53):
whether it's wood that's rotting or paint that's peeling. And
when I was talking about rust, we talked about using
a product called rust neutralizer rust reformer. It kind of
eliminates a step of wirebrush and sanding. It's a it's
a chemical that actually reacts with iron oxide and seals

(41:14):
that in uh, that that rust, it seals it into
the metal and then functions as a primer. We never
really talked about the top coat going over that. There
is a lot of options. Uh. Certainly the rust stolen
we're all familiar with that as a metal paint and

(41:35):
and that's fine. There's also some acrylic paints, water based paints. Uh.
The exterior house paints like the Sherman Williams Emerald or
Duration or home depots bear the self priming. You can
use those on doors. They are self priming. The only

(42:01):
thing I just caution you about, and it may not
be a big deal at all to you, or some
people may not like it at all. It's kind of
a personal preference. Those self priming house paints are you know,
you're looking at them up on the house, there is
a slight texture to them. Some people don't like that

(42:21):
on woodwork or doors or trim. They want something very smooth,
almost like an oiling enamel would be. And in some
places we can't get oiling animals anymore, so there is
and we talked about this particular trim paint. You can
use it indoor or outdoor. Not cheap, really good stuff though,

(42:46):
and it's the Emerald Eurothane Trimming Amo. It's say it's
a porter, not a poor paint, but sure weaves a
paint brand. And if you're really looking for a you know,
kind of a polished, smooth enamel type paint for front

(43:06):
doors or trimm enamels inside, that's one I would really recommend.
It's going to give you that look you're searching for.
I know, sometimes people will like to accent the entry door,
maybe with a green door, a red door, or a
black door, a colorful one that pops or sometimes we're

(43:28):
also seeing a lot of black on white houses in
that trim. Maybe you don't want it to have that texture.
You don't want that flat look. Maybe for the trim
you want, you know, something with a sheene to it
that you're think trimm enamel does come in different sheens
that you you know, you might want to just check out.

(43:50):
All right, we'll take in your calls in the next hour.
Happy to take your calls and chat about what you're
working on. It's eight hundred a two three eight two
five five. Go ahead, grab a line and uh we'll
get you back to work and no time at all.
And I hope everybody is having a wonderful morning, a
happy Easter, and we'll continue. We're in the studio talking

(44:11):
about your home projects. And you're at home with Gary Sullivan.

Speaker 5 (44:45):
Thank's the weekend, and you have fixed questions. Give Gary
a call and what eight hundred and eight two three
talk this he's at home with Gary Sullivan.
