Speaker 1 (00:31):
Well the weekend. It is welcome aboard. You're at home
with Gary Sultan. Thanks for joining me as we uh
well get a few things done around the home. Happy
to have you, and if you would like to join us,
let me give you the phone number. It's been pretty
busy today and that's a that's a good sign. That's
a good sign. We're getting busy around the outdoor part
of our home. And you can join us with your questions.

(00:52):
It's eight hundred eight two three eight two five five
and let's get back to the phones. And we got Barbara, Barbara, welcome.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Thank you. I'm so glad for Saturday morning because I
get educated. Well, I have a deck. I have a
deck question for you. Okay, we live in the state.
We live in the state of Missouri, and our deck
was put on about five years ago. When they put
it on, the men put some kind of preservative on

(01:24):
the deck that was supposed to protect the wood, not
to give it color or standard or anything, but just
to protect the wood. So we have had a natural
looking deck for almost five years now. We would like
to do something else with the deck. Our deck gets
solid sunshine from ten thirty to five thirty in the daytime,

(01:47):
so we need to have something that will withstand that sun.
So my question to you is, what is your suggestion
for our deck project?

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Oct Do you have any idea what they use to
begin with?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
No, sir, that I've been asking that question for a
long time. What did they actually do?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Now?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Okay? And what does the deck look like now? After
five years of a clear ceilant on that deck?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
It's it's just wood that has been aged from the
rain and the snow and all that kind of business.
So it's gray, Yes, it is gray.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Is how about the grain of the wood. Is the
grain of the wood still smoother? Is it kind of
raised a little bit?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I would say it's still smooth. Occasionally I can get
a splinter in my foot if I go out your foot,
but that's it's not all over the deck that way.
It's a fairly level deck.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Okay, all right, So let me give you a little
background first and then we'll go on trying to get
to where you want to get to.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
A new deck. Pressure treated wood, of course, is resistant
to water and rot on the surface. In other words,
if there's a hole from like a nail or something,
and the water got in there. It could still rot.
But the biggest thing, the biggest damage to pressure treated

(03:23):
wood is done by the sun. And if they put
a clear deck cealant on there, and there's many, I
have to tell you you probably got protection for about
a year in a sunny location. I don't think there's
a clear cealant that I know of for pressure treated

(03:46):
wood that is gonna stand up to the sun in
a real sunny location for more than a year. That's
why I asked what kind of shape is it? And
you answered it beautifully because that's the kind of shape
I expected to be. It's in pretty good shape. It's
but you know, it's gray now, it's weathered. There's parts

(04:06):
where the grain is raised a little. There's a little
splintering going on, but it should have based on what's
been going on. So what that tells me is we
have no seilant really left on that pressure treated wood.
It's a pressure treated wood, and so that's good. But
it looks weathered and it's you know, it's it's just aging,

(04:31):
that's all. So what do you want it to look like?
If we can dress that up?

Speaker 2 (04:37):
My husband would like to put a stain on it, okay,
and I have been against the paint because experience with paint,
I've not had a lot of good experience. It always
curls and all that. Sure, but he would like to
put a stain on it, okay, And that when the
deck was first put in, the gentleman didn't say he
was putting on a ceilant. He said he was putting

(05:00):
on a protector for the wood. I don't know if
that means.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Anything to your well, it could be a UV protector
from the sun, kind of the same thing I'm talking about,
And a ceiler is a protector for both rain and sun.
So it's semantics. I think we're talking about the same thing.
So a semi transparent stain not a solid color stain.

(05:26):
Solid color stain looks just like paint, and I agree
with you. So let me just tell you the difference
the pros and cons. The semi transparent the pro is
it soaks into the wood. It gives it a pigmentation,
and it gives you protection. The protection and a really

(05:46):
sunny location, just like your clear ceilant I said, would
only last for a year. A you know, a brown
or a redwood or a cedar or whatever, it's gonna
last two or three years in a real sun location. Okay,
which and then you know, all you do is you
clean it and you put another coat on. You know,

(06:07):
no standing, no peeling. It's all penetrated down into the wood,
all right, a solid color stain. It hides the gray.
It's paint. You can make it green, you can make
it brown, you can make it whatever color you want.
You can make it beige. It holds up three to
five years because it's a film, it has more blocking

(06:29):
and ceiling power than a semi transparent. But it's a coating,
so it could peel. It's not built down into the wood.
It has trouble sometimes adhering to the wood. Not all
the time, but it can have that problem. And if
it began to peel, you got to scrape before you

(06:50):
reapply again. So that's the pro and that's the con.
So I like your choice. I like your choice. What
I would do, you can actually you can't bring back
one hundred percent of the natural color, but you can
bring back some of the color. So it's almost a
two or three step process. What I would do is,

(07:14):
I would you know, clean the deck. There's deck cleaners
out there. It's an oxygenated bleach. It's a powder mix
with water. Put it on the deck, let's sit ten minutes,
scrub it or hit it with a pressure washer. That'll
clean the deck. Then O, then I want you to
use what they call a deck brightener, and a deck

(07:38):
brightener is wood bleach, and it'll bleach a lot of
that gray out, so take some of the weathering out.
Very easy to use. It's a liquid or a powder
mix with water. Spy it on, let's sit for as
long as the label says it's not long, ten to
fifteen minutes. Spray it off and your deck will be clean.

(07:59):
It'll be some of the natural color will come back,
and it'll open the fibers of the wood to accept
the stain, so it penetrates into the fibers of the stain.
You eliminate the risk of of peeling. And you pick
the color. You know, they come in redwood, cedar. They
even have a gray if you like the weathered look

(08:21):
they have brown they have you know, they have six
seven different colors.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Uh, is there a particular stain that you suggest for
in that extreme heat?

Speaker 1 (08:33):
You know what? There there is one. It is. I'm
gonna give you two of them, Okay, The one is
called Defy d E f Y wood stain. Defy wood
stain is a water base, but the preparation work that
I just give you is perfect for a water based

(08:56):
semi transparent stain. Okay, I had a call earlier. It's
not as simple as it used to be. There used
to be one application, that is, get a brush and
put it on. Now there's all different applications depending on
the brand. This particular brand, you do two coats and
it's wet on wet. That means you take a five

(09:17):
foot by five foot area and you put a coat on,
and then you go put another coat right on top
of it, and you go to the next area five
by five, put a coat on, don't let it drive,
put another coat on, and they have a special applicator
where you get enough on there. But the Defy wood
stain their claim and their data shows that it'll probably

(09:39):
get an extra year over any other one that would
be applied in that condition sunny location.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Where do I get this Defy.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
You can get it on the internet or you can
go to a do it best hardware store. It's yeah,
all right. And the other one I would recommend is
what they call a it's it's Sherman Williams product. It's
a very good product. It's a modified outcut acrylic, so,
believe it or not, it's oil and water that is

(10:09):
together you get deep penetration. It's a one code process
and it holds up really good because it's got a cryllic.
It's got that water base. That's the best sun blocker
there is and it would be a it would be
a close second. So that's the other one I would recommend.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Okay, I'm always educated when I listen to your program, So.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Very good. All right, thank you, take care, bye bye,
take a quick break, and then we'll start with Tom

Twenty one minutes after the top of the are talking
a little home improving. Let's get back to the phone calls,
and we got Tom Tom Welcome, Thank you, Gary.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
How are you doing today?

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Doing great? Thank you?

Speaker 5 (13:59):
Good good On the deck subject, My deck was sealed
maybe ten years ago with a solid product and it's
held up well except on some of the handrails that
are in the sun, sun and the water all the time.
To recoat that, do I need to strip it? Or

(14:20):
I mean what's down or now repels water, So how
do I put something on top of it?

Speaker 1 (14:26):
So that is the always the issue. So there most
of your solid color stains can be reapplied. But I
would scuff it up a little bit, just as if
you were going to paint like a door, right, whether
it's a latex paint or whether it's an oil based paint,
you would scuff it up to improve the adhesion on it.

(14:50):
So that's what I would do. I would clean it,
scuff it up, even if it's just with like a
sanding sponge or something. You don't have to get aggressive
at it. When you get into decks and I get
this call a lot where a lot of it's peeling,
I usually recommend people do strip it. But if you've

(15:11):
got some peeling and you're you know it's not that much,
it's mainly just wearing off, I would just lightly, lightly
stand it with a medium standing sponge, wipe the residue
away and reapply.

Speaker 5 (15:26):
And is there a concern like when you're painting as
to whether original as latex or oil base. I mean,
does it matter or do I need to determine that
as well?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Well, you can determine that, and there's you know, with
a solid color stain, there's no primer involved. And that's
a good question because I really don't have that answer.
But you can determine what's on there if you take
rubbing alcohol on a cotton claw and just rub it.

(16:03):
If it's an oil, it will it will clean up
and it'll be shiny. And if it's a latex and
I'm talking about rubbing pretty good for a couple of minutes, right.
If it's an akrillic, it'll start getting gummy and kind

(16:24):
of start removing it to a degree, but it'll get
real sticky and just regular rubbing.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Yeah, okay, I tells her what I need to know.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Thank you. There you go. Thanks for the call time.
I appreciate you. Bet bye bye and Bill welcome.

Speaker 6 (16:42):
Yeah Hi Bill, Bill, Hi Gary, love your show.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Thank you sir.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
Yeah, I have a one was calling in at a
shower fiberglass shower star with some holes in it. Yeah, yeah,
door and what I use I did the same thing
when I used were posy Phillips cover caps. Oh, yeah, okay,
I couldn't have a super glue gel on the back.
Stick them on and they fit flush, then they're perfect.

(17:07):
I mean they see them. But at least it's a
nice finished to look out there.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
That's gonna look better in a dab a silicon.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
Yep. The other one was one other things of you'll bit.
I had you one time they had a show about hums.
You can't find a noise in your house, and this
thick I had an intermittent one. And what it was
was cookie jar on top of the refrigerator, and every
time the refrigerator kicked on, it was just enough to
rattle the top of that the hump. So it'll be

(17:36):
a long time to find that one.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I'll tell you what I wish I would have kept
a record of all the classic it's a hum I
hear a bell a water league, because you're right, it
takes There is no answer. It's just hunting and gathering
an adventure. You'll go, You've got to be kidding me.

(17:59):
I mean, I catched a smell in the basement and
it was the drippand under the refrigerator. I'm crawling around
the basement sniffing drains and everything else.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
It was almost impossible because it's intermitting. So I figured
it's got to be a motor or so I think,
what is this and I never thought of the compressor
or a refrigerator.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
That's a great one. That's a great one. Hey, thanks
for Sharon Bell. I appreciate it. Okay, all right, take
care bye bye. All right. Yeah, those are just so difficult,
and but you know, that's one of the great things
about doing this show and your involvement is because we
all have had and have experienced different things in our home,

(18:41):
whether it's a leak, whether it's a toilet that's not flushing,
whether it's a hum unless I had had that experience,
probably not going to know the answer. I don't even
know if you have a cookie jar sitting on top
of the refrigerator. But when people start talking about it,
it's like the community, you know, neighborhood recipe club. You know,

(19:03):
you start swapping ideas and one thing leads to another
and eventually you can figure out or possibly stumble upon,
what's actually causing that irritation. So appreciate your involvement as

Speaker 7 (23:28):
Hey, Gary, I hope you're having a great day.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
So far, so good.

Speaker 7 (23:33):
That's all we can ask for, is that, right? Hey,
I've got a ork Stacey House. The front of it
is brick, and about twenty two years ago when we
moved in, I did all windows and that. But recently
and even the inspector told me, actually, go on, do
something with the I guess they're called lensls. But there's
those steel supports above.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
The windows, yes, sir.

Speaker 7 (23:53):
And I noticed that's got rusted on those. So I'm
thinking of how to go about doing it at red
different things. Some say that you you know, get the
rust off these oil base I've got a rust dissolver
from your Stolium I was thinking about using. But I
was just wondering what your recommendation is on how to
address those lentils. And I've got to say I'm surprised
because it really hasn't been in the forefront of my mind.

(24:13):
But I have never seen any of my neighbors who
have a similar type ever do anything with those.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Yeah. Well, you know you said it's a brick house, right, yeah, yeah,
so that lentils just holding that brick.

Speaker 7 (24:26):
Up, right, I mean yeah, but I read these horror
stories of people that don't ever do it. They start
to rust out over time and then they're looking at
a major repair.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Well yeah, yeah, Well, let's concentrate on how to do it.
You've got several different options. The first option is, uh,
you know, wire brush, get as much of the rust
off as you can, get a a red primer Rustoleum

(24:58):
red primer, which is for heavy rusted areas, and use
that as your primer and then use your top coat.

Speaker 7 (25:07):
Okay, Now on the top coat, do you recommend like
an oil because I've read where they said use an
oil based paint.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah, yeah, you can. You can use an oil based
paint on that also, yes, yes, the rustling would be
staying in that category. Okay, there's better, there's worse, and
I'm gonna give you a couple other options. Okay, there's
also a product out on the market, and you tell me,

(25:35):
but a little beam. Usually when it's rusted, it's rusted,
but it's not heavily rusted. In other words, there's not
flakes of you know, it's just kind of rusted looking.
So if that's so, there's a product out, I think
We'restoling owns that too. They own everything. It's a rust neutralizer.
I believe it's called or rust reformer. There's several other

(26:00):
companies that make this particular product. It's not a it's
not a primer, and it's really not even a paint.
It's actually a chemical that can be It comes in
a spray or it comes in a liquid, so your choice.
And the rust neutralizer is applied to the rusted metal
and it creates a chemical reaction, and the chemical reaction

(26:24):
seals the rust into the metal and turns it black,
and it functions as a primer. So that might be
perfect for a linyl beam because it's not really you know,
heavily rusted. You really don't need that red primer. You
really don't need to scrape all that. You can just

(26:45):
seal that rust in so and then you can just
go over that again with your rustolium final coat right
directly over the rust reformer. You have to be a
little bit careful of using an acrylic. I'd have to
read the directions. It'll tell you either have to use

(27:07):
an acrylic or excuse me, you either have to use
an oil paint or you can use an acrylic. Because
of the chemical reaction, it'll create a little bit heat
and if you use like a white latex, it might
create a brown stain. Okay, okay, But if you stayed
with the oil based restalling, you'll be fine. So that's

(27:30):
the second way. I'll give you one more way. There's
a product out there, there's a pain out there called
hammer right, and it's it's a really cool product too.
It can be difficult to apply when it's real hot
out or in direct sun. This is actually a very

(27:51):
heavy duty oil that almost takes thirty days to cure.
It's got You don't do anything to the rust. You
just use the hammer right directly over the rust. Now,
it is not a smooth finish. It is a hammered finish.
It's and you can look it up online just to

(28:14):
get a feel for it whether that work or not.
It comes in black and silver and white, in a
multitude of pastel colors. But it's got these strands of
fiberglass in it, which really knits that paint film so
tight is the rust won't break through it?

Speaker 7 (28:35):
Okay, do you know how long these different methods would last?
Is this something that should be checked? I mean, I've
read somewhere they said every ten years. But is this.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
You know I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I
would just occasionally when I'm always talking about that walk
around the house, that's one of those things that would
you know, if you were just doing a walk around
the house, you're probably not even going to pay it
tention to the little bean unless you see the paint
is peeled or rust is running down. So I just

(29:09):
would keep an eye on it. I mean, I don't
know if there is a timeframe on it. If if
for whatever reason that paint film began to peel or crack,
it'll probably rust. Otherwise I would say it could last
even longer than ten years.

Speaker 7 (29:26):
Okay, super, all right, Well, thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
I appreciate your help.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
All right, good luck, take care, Thank you, bye bye.
All right. Our phone number's eight hundred eight two three
eight two five five and K welcome.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
Good morning Gary. How are you sir?

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Doing fine? Thanks?

Speaker 8 (29:45):
I have a question regarding a painted patio outside obviously
gray the previous owners of our home, and they also
painted the garage floor. I have no idea what type
of paint. What is your recommendation. I know we can
pressure wash with caution on the concrete, but is there

(30:07):
a sovereign that I can use to get that up?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
You know, there's so many different garage floor coatings right now,
it's mind boggling. But every one of those garage floor
coatings will tell you to remove the paint.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
And that's what I need to do.

Speaker 8 (30:29):
I need to know how to get it off.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
You know what I would do. I would go up
and I would go to a rent a tool and
I would grind that paint off. You can grind that
paint off that garage floor in an hour. Really, you
talk to the go to the tool rental, tell them
take a picture of it. Say listen, I got this

(30:53):
two car garage. I don't know what kind of pain
is on there, and you can tell me if it's
it's in good shape or is it peeling, is it
worn off or whatever. And it's like a floor buffer
with a with a diamond grinding wheel and it'll just
grind that grind that paint right off.

Speaker 8 (31:13):
And what's it called again.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Well, tell him you want to grind paint off a
garage floor. It's like a almost like a gender's buffer.
That's kind of what it looks like. Gotcha, But go
up and talk to him about that. Because there's two choices.
You can either grind it off or you can chemically
remove it. So it's mechanical or chemical and by the

(31:39):
time you pay for the chemicals and go through a
day's where the work, it's going to be easier to
grind it off. So tool rentals hand any tool rental,
go up and you know, go up, talk to the
tool rental guy and tell him, you know, you want
to grind this paint off. You don't know whether don't

(32:00):
POxy or a regular garage floor, but you want to
grind us off. And uh, you know, he'll wrench you
the piece of equipment. You'll probably have to buy some
of the pads to Basically you're sanding the paint off
and uh, then you'll be all set up for the
application because the the the surface will be new, it'll

(32:22):
be the new stuff won't be subject to how good
the old stuff is attached to it. And you've opened
up everything on the concrete and you're ready to go
to make an application of whatever you want to put
on there.

Speaker 8 (32:37):
And I don't want to put anything on there. I
just want to get it back to it's natural concrete garage.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
You're probably you're probably gonna have to seal it or something, though,
so you could put you could put a garage floor
sealer on there. There's one called track safe. But uh,
and you may have to you can talk to him.
He may tell him that you want to put that
you wanted to be natural looking, because he's probably going

(33:05):
to sell you like a couple of pads. He's gonna
you know, a real course one to get it off
and maybe a fine one to smooth it out. So
tell him what you're going to do. Okay, and uh
go from there or or just you know, google an
honor see if you can find some videos of what
we're talking about. But you'll find it. It's it's definitely

(33:28):
the way to go.

Speaker 8 (33:31):
Now as far as the patio, it's not large. Can
I use that grinder offshore to get that paint off
of that?

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Sure?

Speaker 5 (33:37):
Okay?

Speaker 8 (33:38):
Sure, ye all right, Well thank you sir, have a
great day.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
All right, you do the same. Thank you, bye bye.
And you know, there are so many unbelievable codings on
that now, I would really if you're thinking about you know,
we've had Peter Dychean. We're talking about some of his
spreadstone over garage floors, over patios. They're beautiful and they

(34:07):
last you fifteen to twenty years. Some of the polyurea
garage floor coatings now or in Peter Dysh's he's got
an industrial epoxy coating for garage floor wonderful products to
give those patios, to give those screen porches, to give
garages a fresh look and something that's gonna last. The

(34:32):
whole resins in polyureas have really stepped up the game
in the last five to ten years. You can tell.
But you see by seeing all the different advertisements there
are on some of the fresh looks of garage floors.
It's a competitive business because there's some really great competitive

(34:53):
products out there. Whether you want to do it yourself
or have somebody do it for you and not get
into a cost, you know, and you can check that out.
But maybe if that's something you want to do, maybe
get a couple estimates on that and see where you go.

All right back at it we go ten minutes before
the top of the hour and talking home improvement on
your weekend let's go to Sharon. Sharon, welcome, how are you.

Speaker 9 (38:29):
I'm fine, thank you. I'm having problems with carpenter bees though.
They're on my porch in an open faced barn that
my son build in and they're making a mess and
a lot of other things, destroying the lumber.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Oh yeah, it's amazing the perfect holes they drill. So
the way it works is the dear queen makes that
perfectly round hole and when it goes through into the beam,
she either goes right or she goes left and goes back.
There creates larvae, new bees, and the bees you see

(39:14):
the big fat ones that are scary looking. They don't
have a stinger, but they're protecting the queen and they
bring her food. And so the secret is we gotta
get the queen and she comes out for food too.

(39:34):
So you never know whether those big fat bees are
the queen or they're just their guards. But there's all
kinds of ways to get rid of them. From making
your own traps, there's sprain different insecticides into the wood,
but probably the easiest way to get rid of those
sharing is go to the hardware store. There's a company

(39:58):
called Rescue and they make a carpenter b Trap and Rescue.
It's r E s Cue. In fact, you can go
online too rescue dot com. You can go on Amazon
and buy these also. It is about nine inches long,

(40:21):
it's about two inches in diameter, and it's yellow and green,
and they are attracted to the yellow and green pixels
that are on the trap, and they will go right
to that trap. Over the course of several days, they
will get stuck to the trap and the queen will die.

(40:42):
And at that point, when you see no longer any
activity around those holes, you can spray some rubbing alcohol
in those holes, and you can use some wood filler
or some clocking and patch those holes and keep an
eye on it for next year. But by sterilizing it

(41:04):
patching it, they may not come back. If they do
come back, get yourself another trap. But I'll tell you
I've tried all kinds of things, and a lot of
things work. You take a brown paper bag, and you know,
a small one, like a little three pound sack, and
wadd it up in a round ball, hang it near

(41:24):
where the bees are active with a piece of fishing line.
Sometimes that'll chase them away too, because it looks like
a hornet's nests or a wasp nest, which is you know,
one of their You know, they like those carpenter bees
to pray, they like to prey on them, so sometimes
those traps. But that rescue carpenter bee trap works marvelously.

(41:47):
I've used it many times lately because it's so easy.

Speaker 9 (41:51):
Well, where do you buy that?

Speaker 2 (41:52):
Now?

Speaker 1 (41:54):
A lot of hardware stores will carry it. I've seen
them in the Ace hardware store near me.

Speaker 9 (41:59):
Okay. I looked at Low's and they didn't have much
of an assortment there.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
Yeah. Well, you could also just go to rescue dot
com and you probably order from there too, or at
least you'll see the package. You'll see what it looks like.
And like I said, the Ace store near me has them,
so I know they got them.

Speaker 9 (42:18):
Okay, Well, I appreciate it very much.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
All Right, good luck, take care bye. I'll tell you
I and doing the show for thirty nine years, I've
talked a lot about carpenter bees. And we used to
blow seven dust up into the holes. That was the
way to eliminate them, and then sterilized a hole, and
then we made little wood structures with pop bottles where

(42:43):
they get trapped in the pop bottle and they worked.
Then no paper bag, but the rescue trap is clean,
quick and easy. Wean Aeda welcome, thank you what you're
working on.

Speaker 10 (43:00):
Well, I have one bathroom upstairs and the drain overflow hole. Yep,
thanks to high heaven. Over the years, I have tried
vinegar and water and you know, it does resolve it
for a short period, but it comes back. And I'm
wondering if you have any advice on how to.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Yeah, it is a common problem and a lot of
people don't spot it. So I'm glad you at least
found out where it's coming from. You know, vinegar yes,
bleach yes, But if you have a continuing problem of
it coming back, here's what I would try is if
you've got a bottle of dishwashing soap, you know the

(43:48):
green bottle, I forget the name of a cascade like
something along those lines whatever for dishwashers. Squirt that down
in there, and not only will it remove the odor,
it'll also kill a lot of the bacteria down there
that's being what's feeding that is the gel that we

(44:12):
use for like deodorants and toothpaste and everything else that
coats that overflow pipe and gets sticky and starts collecting
the bacteria, which starts smelling. So, you know, like the
liquid soap, like the cascade or some just squeeze some
of that down there and see how that works. A
plumber taught me that one I would always use the
bleach and it too would come back. So but the

(44:34):
dishwasher soap seems to be the product that works very well.
All right, we got more coming your way. If you're
