Speaker 1 (00:01):
Did you have your fantasy draft yet? Well, Thor and
I have had a couple. Yep, we have one more
to go. We'll tell you how it looks.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's time to review your fantasy team here now.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Commissioners each time for fantasy freaking football. I'll be honest
with you, Thor. Yeah, it doesn't look great. Oh no,
I don't know. You know, you either feel like really
good about your draft or you feel really terrible about it. Yeah,
I feel like in both of my leagues. And you'll
sort of see there's a common thread in both of
my teams, especially towards the top of the draft, that

(00:43):
I may be stuck in the past, Like like twenty twenty,
my team is the greatest team I've ever ever conceived.
But I don't know, there's nil sterrely be some legs
left in some of these guys. Yeah, and it is
what it is.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
I think we've gotten into it with the NFL now.
It's like when guys hit like twenty eight, they're old,
but not necessarily for running back, yes, but like receiver,
not necessarily first you know what I mean? For quarterback,
definitely not a quarterback hitting your prime at twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I'm also like, I look at where I'm at in
the draft, and I look at their value, and I go,
I can't pass up on that guy, and I and
the towards the end of his career maybe, but if
he puts together a solid year, I gotta take him.
That's where I was with my first draft, which happened
last week, with like an Aaron Jones. I don't know

(01:33):
what Aaron Jones has left in the tank, but I'm
sitting there in I don't even remember it was. It
might have been like the seventh eighth round, still there
and he was still there. He's obviously the starter in Minnesota,
and I went, I kind of feel like I and
he's not. He's not even a starter for me. I
have two guys ahead of him, and that's fine. Then
I was like, you know what, I feel like I
could take a risk on an Aaron Jones type of guy.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Totally mean, I totally agree with that, especially if he's
not a starter. Now, if you went receiver heavy in
a PPR league and he's there in the seventh round,
I think that's a home run. No, yeah, because he's
the starter, right, so even if he stinks, he's still
going to get the bulk of the goal one touches.
He may get you eight touchdowns, but in your situation,
that's a great backup.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yeah, I think so I feel like that. So this
is what my team looks like in that league. This
is my old school league. I played with a bunch
of old dudes. Yeah, and so this one's been around
for a long time. I've been in this league for
like twenty five years. So my quarterback I ended up
with Dak Prescott, which I don't know how I feel
about Dak. I know last year obviously he put up
monster numbers.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
He started out slow and then put a saved my
season life.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I remember that monster numbers. Yeah, I got snaked out
a lot of guys that I really liked that I
wanted to get that quarterback. I thought for sure I
was gonna end up with Josh Allen in this league
because I didn't think people would make a run on
quarterbacks as early as they did. And I think Josh
Allen went in the second round, and so I was like, oh, boy, okay,
and then you know what happens after that happens and

(03:00):
away they go. And so I did end up with
Dak Prescott. So I sort of pushed up quarterback down
on my list, so I actually feel like I'm kind
of loaded in my other positions. Okay, so quarterback, I
got Dak Prescott. Running Backs, I have Jonathan Taylor and
James Cook as my starter. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I love Jonathan Taylor. I don't understand. Last year he
was you know, and it was just coming back. Well
two years ago he was RB one. Then last year
he got hurt in the contract dispute, and he played
really well when he came back. Then he got hurt
with the hand again. But this year he's like end
of the first round guy, and I'm just like, I
don't get that. He's still he's in the prime of
his career. He's like twenty five. So yeah, I think

(03:37):
Jonathan Tyl is great. And who's the other one said?

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Sorry? James Cook? James Cook Again.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I have James Cook maybe as a stardom this week
because they don't have any weapons other than James Cook
running run you know, a receiver. They have a running back.
I mean, they have key On Coleman.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
That's about it.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
So James Cook's the guy.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Right right for sure, And so I just hope Josh
Allen does a Snake all of his rushing touchdowns. You
gotta worry about that, but it is what it is.
And like I mentioned, Aaron Jones is my backup running back,
So I feel pretty solid there my wide receivers. I
have Justin Jefferson, who is my main guy, which I've
noticed the trend in a lot of leagues that he's

(04:16):
sort of falling in the first round. And I don't
get It's the Sam Darnold effect. That's the only thing
I can think.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
And I understand that. But he's the best receiver in football, right,
which is a lot. There's a lot of great receivers
in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
He's the best. Right.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
He played eight games last year and half thousand yards
and that was with guys you've never heard of. That
wasn't with Kirk Cousins any like. So, I guys, some
guys are quarterback proof, Like they're gonna throwing the ball
one hundred and fifty.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
That's my thought process thing. But I'm seeing him fall
to ten, eleven, twelve.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I thought he was gonna fall to me in our
draft at one point, and I'm like, oh my god,
I can get Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
That crazy man. So I have Justin Jefferson. I don't
like drafting rookies. I get very concerned unless they're sort
of later, like like, if I can go, I'll take
a flyer on Romadon Day's type of guy. But I'm
sitting there. I want to say it was either the
third or fourth round. It might have been the fourth
round where I was kind of surprised. No, it was

(05:12):
the third round. It was the third round, because I
was shocked he was still there. Marvin Harrison Junior. Third round,
and we've been saying he's been sneaking into some first
round late set in the second early second round. Yeah,
third round, I'm seeing Marvin Harrison Junior standing there. I go, well,
screw it, I'm just gonna do it. I pulled the trigger,
so I got Marvin Harrison Junior. I have Za Flowers

(05:33):
as one of my wide receiver who again one of
their only main weapons. He had a good rookie year.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
But also remember Marvin Harrison Junior, mylik neighbors Roma Doon Day.
These guys are like their beasts, beast like Zoey Flowers
wasn't really coming in as a beast, but he had
a good rookie year. I expect more from him this year.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, me too. And then I have Hollywood Brown, which
I'm kind of thinking. I love that. I kind of
think he's gonna maybe a little bit of a sleeper pick.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
He was re good last year in Arizona, and he
got hurt a bunch.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
He's caught Patrick Mahomes and I.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Know he's got the shoulder injury, but if you got
him late, I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Play him right now. I ended up with Jayden Reid
from Green Bay, and then my tight end is Jake Ferguson.
I'm all in on apparently. Yeah, I don't mean I like.
I like what I saw on him last year, the
Dallas tight end. And then my kickers Jake Moody, who
you know. I love thee So that that's what my
team looks like. I think that's a pretty good, pretty

(06:28):
solid draft.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
The fact that you have Taylor and Jefferson is wild
to me. Yeah, and I think that's great. I think
you're set up pretty well.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, I feel pretty good about it. So that's what
I'm looking at there. What about your uh So, this league?

Speaker 2 (06:39):
The first league I did on Sunday, it was online,
and my quarterback Jade and Daniels and I never take
rookie quarterbacks and for a long time to mention Washington, Washington,
mention Washington. Granted, I think they're finally different now, but
you're going to root for no I know, I know,
but here's it was the same kind of situation as you.
People took quarterback way too early, and I'm like, I'm

(07:01):
not doing that. And by the time it got to me,
I was like, there's no quarterbackshit because he can run
and listen, is Jaydeen Daniel is gonna win Rookie of
the Year. Probably not, but he could.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
He could have. It's possible. Maybe he could have.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
If he has eight rushing touchdowns. I mean that's pretty
Is he a better quarterback than Jared Goff or Matt Stafford. No,
but he may put up better fantasy Yes, it's possible.
So I got Jared Goff. Then I drafted Mike Evans,
which he always is good for a couple of thirty
point games. Michael Pittman was there in the fifth round.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I just love.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
I did not want to draft Michael Pittman, but he's
there in the fifth round.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
How can I say two years in a row my
got him. I not good, I know.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
And then I got John Robinson was my first pick.
Travis Atn was my second part. Wow load let running back.
I took this guy. I hate him, but he again
he was there. There was no one else left Evan
Ingram because he stuck for the Giants. But and then
my kicker, Greg Zerlin. And the only reason I took

(08:02):
Cincinnati's defense because they're playing the Patriots week one. So
on my bench is Jamison Williams, Deontay Johnson, Christian Watson,
Khalil Shakir.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
That's your guy. Love him. I don't know why you
love this. Love them.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
And then I got Taysom Hill just because you get
the quarterback tight end thing.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I like having that.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
And then I picked up Aaron Rodgers as my backup
because there was no quarterbacks left, so I was like,
he might as well him as a backup.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
He may end up being your starter if he's Aaron
Rodgers of Aaron ro It may.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
I think the Jets are going to start out a
little slow with trying to protect him from moving around,
but he could really turn it on and that would
be great. So this was my what do you think
of my team?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Not bad? Right? Yeah? Man? Your running backs are great.
Yahoo gave me an F what I mean, that's a
little aggressive. I've never seen that f. Wow, they really
hate your best I know. So well, whatever you know,
you deserve it, I guess. And then we had on
Monday the league that we're into together. We're in two
leagues together, obviously our work league, which we're drafting tonight.

(09:04):
I have the number one pick in the draft tonight.
Who knows where I'm gonna go.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I mean there's a lot, as we all know.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Nobody knows where play homes on. My favorite team to
be the Kids of Death. I don't know. So you
have to tune in next week to find out where
I went.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
And in that league, you're the defending champion. We do
like a traditional NFL draft, where in that league it
is the reverse order of how you finished. So you
have the twelfth pick in that league. So we're at
the back ends of the snake, you know. So that's
gonna be interesting.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, And it's and standard too, it's not PPRT at
totally different.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
But then we are in a PPR league together, and
we had our draft on Monday night and I ended
up with the ninth pick. You ended up with the
eleventh pick. So what you mentioned before, what's happening where
Justin Jefferson was still there at nine and it's PPR,
So I pulled.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
I'm like, I'm saying to myself, if Eddie doesn't take him,
I know that the guy behind me, our buddy Louis
was gonna take, was gonna take a running back. And
I'm like, holy crap, I'm gonna get Justin Jefferson at eleven.
At eleven, that would have been so insane.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Yeah, but yeah, jeff was still on the board, so
I took uh double j Yeah, so I have him
been two leagues.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yeah, and he's gonna happen. He's gonna have a monster
game Week one. I don't know if the Vikings are
gonna win, but the Giants secondary is gonna get burnt
by Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Who did you get in the first round?

Speaker 2 (10:31):
In the first round, it came to me at eleven
and I saw that league we're in together from Monday.
They're very running back heavy, and I knew, and I
knew at eleven, I'm not gonna I gotta get a
running back now, So I took Jonathan Taylor.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
I mean at eleven the Colts. You love the Colts absolutely,
so okay, so that that makes sense. And then so
it came back twelves went and then it came back
to you.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
And I knew this guy. I know he's thirty, but
I feel like he's gonna have a lot of touchdowns
this year, and there's no way he was going to
make it back to me.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
So I took him a little early. Derrick Henry, Yeah,
I was. I was kind of a head scratcher for
me on that one. Yeah, only because we're PPR. I
know where you went running back, double running back. I
kind of questioned that a little bit.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah, well I did that because of who I knew.
I was going to get a wide receiver and of
course who I think is going to have a monster year.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Well it came back to me and in the second round,
I got Travis Attn and I get you know, in
the second round. I don't love Travis Attn, but I
was like, well, PPR, I feel like he catches the
ball a little bit too.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I think that I think the Jaguars gonna be better
this year. Trevor Lawrench was so injured last year, Like
they picked up Brian Thomas Junior.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
I think they're gonna be a better team this year.
So this is what my team looks like in that league. PPR.
Lamar Jackson is my quarterback who I was kind of
all in on. I think I took him a little
bit early, but again I targeted him. He was a
guy I wanted At where I was picking at nine,
I knew he wasn't going to make it back to
me and a couple of quarterbacks had already gone, so
I was like, I want I don't think.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
It wasn't like it wasn't a crazy by any means,
Like I get average draft position, but also you have
to realize the league you're picking.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
And so I wanted him, and so I don't care.
I don't care what you have your average draft position.
I wanted Lamar, So I got Lamar. Justin Jefferson, my
other wide receiver, is the sneakiest best pick of the draft.
Stefan Diggs. Oh god, yes, I thought. I have a
massive disagreement about what Stefan Diggs is gonna do.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
They named him captain, That's right, they named him the best.
He's already saying that he wasn't having fun anymore. In Buffalo,
Josh Allen was the quarterback. I mean, it wasn't like
there was some.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Third quarterback is gonna get involved on.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Stroud's great but Josh.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Allen Yeah, uh so we kind of we kind of
disagree about Stefan Diggs. I I like him as my
second guy, So I took Steffan Diggs. I have at
the end running back. James Connor is my other running back,
and again not a guy I really wanted, but all
these running backs were off the board. Yeah, and if
I didn't take Connor at that time, I would have
been left with nobody, and so I don't I didn't

(12:59):
want position either, so James Connor again went with Jake Ferguson. Again.
I don't know why I'm all in on Jake Ferguson,
but apparently I am. My flex spot in that league
is Amari Cooper, who he was kind of a steal late.
I got him in like the seventh, eighth round. Yeah,
that's a great pick. Yeah, I felt pretty good about that.
I do have Austin Eckler, who I have no idea

(13:20):
if he's good anymore. I don't know what he's gonna
do in Washington I did take a flyer on Roma doonsay,
I have Tyler Lockett, Trevor Lawrence, I did. My very
last pick was Taysom Hill. Taysom Hill. I was like,
you know what quarterback.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
He may come in at quarterback this year, who knows,
and he may play.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
He may be They're never going to use him. He
may be there one time.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Alvin Kamara is not the same album Kamara. He'll catch
ten passes for thirty yards. Yeah, So they may give
Taysom Hill a lot of goal line carries, but he
could play him at tight ends.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yes. And then Justin Tucker is my kicker. So I
got the best kicker in the league. So not terrible.
I feel okay about that one. But again, you know, again,
you're looking at guys like the Digs of the world.
Who you know, these are kind of boom or blessing
Mark Cooper. I'm hoping for a good year from him.
So we'll see what did you end up with.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
So I could have ended up with a very similar draft,
but I didn't want to pick any of the same
players except for one. So my second with my third
round pick, I take Nico Collins, So I'm like, I
don't and Nico Collins was great last year. They have
a lot of weapons on that team.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Web receiver two. I'm hoping that I'm hoping that he
gets the ball. I don't know. I receiver too. And
then on the comeback, I think you couldn't wait. I
strutted up to the ball, he made the pick and
we're all I got heard it is he couldn't help himself.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
I haven't been I haven't taken a Giant like where
I'm confident in a Giant since Saquon's rookie year because
their offense is so terrible for.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Darren Waller last year. Yeah, I forgot about your tight end.
One was rough. That was rough.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
But I'm very pumped about Milik Neighbors. Barring an injury.
I mean, they're gonna I know, but he's he's some
guys a quarterback, some guys a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I know.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
I took t Higgins and again he's in a contract year.
So I just saw Jamar Chase did practice today, but
he still doesn't have a contract, So who knows what's.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Gonna happen with that? Uh, I kind of got screwed.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
At tight end. I waited way too late. I took
Dallas Goddard, so I know it's kind of people always
think he's gonna be good and he stinks. Calvin Ridley
on my bench, Jerome Ford on my bench, Hollywood Brown
on my bench. I love Isaiah Likely as a guy.
I'm just gonna stash away.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
You've been talking about this guy. He was really good
for them last year, so he was.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Okay, it's gonna be interesting what happens. And then I
took Kirk Cousins as my backup quarterback in case Kyler
Murray stinks or gets hurt. And then I got Brandon
Aubrey in Cincinnati again because I like to add and
drop defense.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Last season kickers all right, So yeah, we'll see what
happens then tonight with our third draft. Very different from me.
I've never been the number one pick before in our league,
and so we'll see what happens with that. Let's get
to your questions. You can email us a question anytime
you want, or hit us up on X at the
show Eddie or at the show Thor and Want as

(16:10):
your questions. Every week, this question comes in and says
my first fantasy matchup is PPR and I don't know
who to start, Kyler Murray or do I go with Tua.
Tua is taking on Jacksonville at home. Kyler Murray's taken
on Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
You know Tua is going to put up numbers because
he always puts up numbers.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Where is it again? Is it at Jacksonville at home?

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Jacksonville at home? So Tua usually plays really well at
home and puts up numbers. I think Kyler Murray is
going to have a big year this year. Not he
He's not gonna be MVP can but he's got Marvin
Harrison Junior. If he could stay healthy, he'll play well.
I think this is a toss up. Maybe Kyler runs
for a touchdown that Screwshey because Tua.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Puts up big Fan was great, but he puts fan.
This is easy. I think it's I think Tua starts
fast and then kind of tails off a little bit,
and so, uh, yeah, I would go with in this matchup. Yeah,
I think that makes more sense to me. This question
says my quarterback is Jared Goff. My question is would
you prefer any of these guys over golf who are

(17:12):
on the waiver wire? Deshaun Watson, Matthew Stafford, Trevor Lawrence
or Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
No, I'd stay with he's at home against the Rams.
That place is going to be rocking. They're a Super
Bowl contender. He's got a good numbers number.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
He's at home to solid. They're not crazy good.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
But but compared to those guys, Oh, I don't.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Trust Deshaun Watson, not at all. Get Baker Mayfield out
of your mouth. Trevor Lawrence is interesting. I think Trevor
is pretty good. And yeah, I I like you said,
I do believe jack. I think they're gonna be a
sneaky playoff team Jacksonville Stafford again hit and miss. Uh
So I would probably your safe pick is golf. If
you want to roll the dice, Lawrence, you.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Know it's so hard with week one because we haven't
seen anybody play yet.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
You don't.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
We're just going on what we saw last year, and
guys are different.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Uh. There is one quarterback that I did see fall
way down in the draft. This was a guy who
was probably top five most of the past two three years.
And that is justin Herbert and the question and the
third question is PPR League CJ. Stroud versus the Colts
or Justin Herbert versus the Raiders. This is easy. I'm

(18:21):
going with J. Stroud really because even against the Raiders,
I get it.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
But Justin Herbert, I don't know how healthy he is.
Number one, he has no weapons, and number three hardball's
your head coach. He's running the football, that's his whole thing.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
I guess that's why. So you look at the combination
of who is Justin Herbert? Who are his weapons? Do
we really believe in Joshua Palmer? Do we think then
Quentin's going to have a big year again? Or finally,
you know, like running back wise Gus Edwards, JK. Dobbins,
basically the Ravens. I don't know. I'm not really sure

(18:55):
what we're gonna get out of the Charger.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
I think the Chargers are going to be a really
good team. I just such a not this year. I
think they're gonna be a good team. Eventually. They may
be like a seven to eight win team this year,
maybe nine. I don't know, but I'd rather go with
I know C. Strout's gonnaut Hi number.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yes, you know, I agree, I think you C. J.
Stroud is definitely the start this week, especially week one,
where you go with your guy, whereas Justin he just
drafted up. I just stunned seeing Justin Herbert go in
like the ninth, tenth round. Yeah, like that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, the foot injury worries me a little bit. I
know he's supposed to be coffy a little bit.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Okay, okay, all right, let's get to our starts and
sits for the week. We're here, it's week one. This
is great, this is the real deal. Man start on Thursday.
So let's get to our starts and sits for the week.
Who do you like at quarterbacks?

Speaker 2 (19:42):
So obviously I could say the Homes Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
I'm not gonna obvious. I'm not gonna do.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
I'm gonna keep this two guys that like you know
that don't have those guys, And we talked about him earlier.
I'm going with Jared Guff at home against the Rams.
He's good at home, plays well at home. If you
didn't draft a quarterback high and you're looking for one,
I think Jared Goff the guy.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
I've heard a lot of talking heads be really high
on the Rams this year. I don't see it. I'm not.
I'm not a person that's looking at.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
The surprised last year and people and like, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Get that roster though, and I go, eh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Especially because they lost Aaron Donald.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
My start this week, I'm going with Joe cool, Joe Burrow. Oh,
obviously you're taking on New England. I don't know. I'm
looking at New England's schedule. I'm like trying to struggle
to find a win there. Like, I don't know who
New England's gonna beat this Ye're defensively, they're probably okay.
John Merrow obviously is a defensive minded court head coach.

(20:38):
But I just think Joe Burrow is gonna light it up.
I think he's back, he's healthy, especially if Jamar Chase plays,
look out, I think Joe has been. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
If I'm the Patriots, Drake May doesn't touch the field
this year. I just there their offense is gonna be
so bad. I wouldn't want to ruin them by fire, No,
I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I wouldn't do it. Man, who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
My sit is a guy who I think they're gonna
start out slow. I don't know they may. I don't
think they're gonna win this game. I'm going with the
Cowboys and Dak Prescott. I think Dak, you know, Ceedee
Lamb missed most of the training camp. When receivers missed
training camp, they injure their hamstrings.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
It always happens.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
I think Dak's gonna start out slow. Browns have a
great defense, dude, and it's in Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
I hate to say this because I have him. I
agree with you. I have Dak as my sit this week.
Thor and I don't talk about our starts and sits,
so I have no idea what we only talk on
the air. We never talked. Yeah, I can't stand him,
So yeah, Dak is my sit as well. For those
exact reasons. I'm a little worried about CD just week one.
You know, he's got to play himself back into shape.

(21:39):
It's in Cleveland. It's in Cleveland. That def that Cleveland
defense is really good, and so I'm I'm a little
concerned about the Cowboys and in that matchup running back,
who's your.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Start, Eddie, You're gonna like this James cook against the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Cooking, I don't be cooking.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
I think he's gonna have a good game. I don't
know about the Cardinals defense. Who knows, we don't know
how they're gonna be. He's the one guy that's a
weapon for Josh Allen that you like. So I think
James Cook will play well.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
My running back start is I am hearkening back to
last season. This guy came out of the gate so hot,
and then he sort of kind of trailed off a
little bit towards the end. He's on a brand new team.
I like DeAndre Swift this week. Remember when he came
out of the gates with Philadelphia and you're like, well,
the DeAndre Swift man, Like holy cow, like that's on.

(22:28):
He was pretty good in Detroit, but then he had
this explosive, crazy year last year. I then he sort
of tailed off new team this year. I like the
matchup against Tennessee. I like DeAndre Swift this week. Who's
your sit?

Speaker 2 (22:40):
My sit is a guy that I just don't think
is good anymore. I don't think he was a great
running back to begin with, with more of a pass catcher,
and I don't think he's gonna be the guy there either.
I'm going with Austin Eckler. I think it's gonna be
the Brian Robinson Junior show. I just man he fell
off a cliff man.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
A lot of running backs do, so I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
I just wouldn't start him this week because I don't
know how he's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah, it was a big question mark there. My sit
this week is a guy who had an outstanding year
last year, especially scoring touchdowns. But I don't think he's
the guy anymore either. From Miami Ruhiem Moster, I don't
love Mostert anymore. You know, we have a chain there
who just looks so explosive. He looks like he's the guy,
he's the starter there, and so I just I have

(23:23):
a lot of questions. I want to see how they
use him before I start starting him and things like that.
So I don't I don't love Mostert this week. Wide receiver,
who's your start?

Speaker 2 (23:31):
I always say guys who missed training camp don't play
well immediately. So I'm going with T Higgins. I think
Burrow's going to look towards t Higgins even if Jamal
Chase plays, and even if Jamar Chase plays, what's he
gonna get right? Twenty snaps? You're playing the Patriots, there's
no point of next week.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
They play the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
I want Jamar ready for that game. So I'm going
with T Higgins.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
My start this week is the guy we were talking
about earlier who I think is going to have a
monster year, Stefan Diggs, especially week one. He's got something
to proof. Not gonna go now, this is the dig Show.
This is the Dig Show. Dig It. That's right. How
many puns can we make? Take it on the cold too.
I don't think I have a great defense, and so

(24:14):
I think it's gonna be a big day for Stefan
Diggs with his new squad. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Oh no, again, he missed most of the training camp.
He's probably gonna line up against Sauce Gardner. I'm talking
about Brandon Eye. He's not gonna play much, and he's
not gonna play much. He's going against Sauce Gardner. It's
probably not gonna be a high scoring game because two
really good defenses. So I just wouldn't start him. I mean,
you're gonna start him, but.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Well, you know what, I'm sitting the guy on the
other side of the ball. Garrett Wilson. Wow, now listen,
Garrett again, I was kind of surprised, especially in Arleague.
Garrett went before Justin Jefferson, he went eight and I
was like stunned that he went and I was like, huh,
that's a questionable move. Yeah, because again I don't know
what I'm gonna get out of Aaron Rodgers. That's why
I'm a little bit concerned about Garrett Wilson. You're taking

(25:01):
on a really good defense in the forty road. On
the road this is gonna be I feel like Aaron's
gonna try to do too much, which isn't good. He's
probably gonna force the ball to Garrett Wilson quite a bit.
And so I I understand you're probably gonna play him.
I get that.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Yeah, same thing with Ayuk. You're gonna play him, But.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
I don't know. Honestly, I would I would maybe pump
the brakes a little bit just because I'm scared at
how much he's actually gonna play. Yeah, but Garrett Wilson
is one I think you're gonna play, but don't expect
a ton out of them. That's just my thoughts. Tight end.
Who's your start, Eddie.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
You're gonna hate this because I have my mic Oh,
I don't care. Evan Ingram Listen, I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
To get a little karma going.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Uh, they're playing the Dolphins. Outside of Brian Thomas Junior.
I don't know who Trevor Lawrence is throwing the ball to.
He does have at ns Christian Kirk, but he is
he suspended? He I think he's suspended for peds.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Oh god, what.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
So I'm gonna go with Evan Ingram just because.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
You're hoping I'm yeah my start this week. I'm a
little concerned about this because again, I don't really know
exactly what I'm gonna get out of him, But I
really like the matchup. I'm going with Brock Bowers. I
want to see what this guy's got. You're taking on
the Chargers, who I have no idea again, what the
Chargers are gonna be like this yere, but I kind

(26:19):
of think he might come out of the gates a
little hot. So if you got Brock Bowers late and
you're like, oh man, you know, I didn't get the
greatest tight end, I don't know. Week one, we may
see some We'll see what happens.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Christian Kirk not I was think of another receiver. Yeah,
it was like imber he thinking of a different receiver.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
That was wild. Yeah, all right, who's your sick.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
The guy you just said, Brock Bowers.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
And here's why, I just I just put my money
on him.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
He's missed a lot of practice because of that foot injury.
He's a rookie tight ends who get drafted high never
play well. Wait, it's so odd Kyle Kyle Pitts.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
No, I don't, Eric bron where are you at with Pitts?
Do you think he's gonna have a better years?

Speaker 2 (26:59):
He showed up on the injury report of the Hamster,
but they're saying he's not a big deal. I don't know, man.
He was old world, the greatest thing ever. Now brock
Bowers has come in, He's all world greatest thing better
just because I picked it, especially because you picked that.
So I'm just gonna see late and see you.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
I understand that. Actually my sit this week is a
guy that I love. I don't know that you're gonna
see a lot out of him just week one. I
just don't love the matchup, but he's gonna be fine
for you going forward. Uh, George Kittle, Okay, Yeah that again,
this is gonna be an interesting game because again I
don't know what I'm gonna get out of the offense
from the Jets. I do know what I'm gonna get

(27:36):
out of the defense. They're pretty good. Yeah, so we'll
see what Perty's got. We're gonna see what the rest
of the weapons got. Maybe this is a game where
they hold Kittle back and he blocks more. Yeah, and
you see a lot of more of Christian McCaffrey. I'm
not really sure. Just because of that, I'm kind of
pumping the brakes a little bit on Kittle. But in
the end he'll be fine. But just week one, it's

(27:56):
my sit. So there you go, all right, good luck.
Here we go. One more drafts to go, Bro, and
we'll tell you all about that next week and see
how we did in week one. Good luck. Hopefully you
go out there and get a win.
