Speaker 1 (00:00):
While we have to update you on what has been
going on. We were off last week for Thanksgiving break,
and a lot has happened, especially with me, and it's
not good.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
It's time to review your fantasy team here now, commissioners,
it's time for fantasy freakin' football.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Oh yes, fantasy so much fun. Gosh, I love it
so much. It's been bad, really really bad. So for you, Thor,
you're sitting pretty Uh you're in three leagues now, the
one league you said you care less about, you you're
still in last place, right.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, it's crazy man. Like I'm in a league with
my buddies, brother in law and father in law and
wife and I suck like you should be dominating. Yeah,
Like I don't get but my team wasn't terrible, but
like I just my team sucks for Jean Robbinson and
had a rough start. Deontay Johnson was on and Mike
Evans got hurt. Jaydon Daniels start off slow, then was great,

(01:06):
then was slow again, that was great again. Uh, It's
just yeah, I don't know what happened there. Evan Ingram
I had him for the first game of the year.
He got hurt. The leak neighbors fell off.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
It's just dam But in our two leagues, you're you're
in playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
In the league with all my buddies, I am in.
I have the third pick, I have the I'm in
third place, and if I win and somebody else loses,
I get a bye. I kind of ran into the
last I lost two in a row, which kind of
knocked me out of the bye, which sucks because I
want that buye because that first round of fantasy playoffs
is always the toughness, because I feel like that first
round anything could happen. The worst team beats the best team,

(01:42):
and it's just crazy. Anything can happen. So you want
that first because you get to get that first round
by you only to win two games. So and then
in our work league, we don't have a buy eight
teams make the playoffs. I'm in third place. I made
the playoffs. Yeah, so this weekend really doesn't matter to
me other than trying to get a first round by. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Well, in two of our leagues, our work league, I'm
middle the pack right now. I think I'm in seventh,
so I got a playoff spot, but I gotta win,
you know, I mean, just to keep my head afloat
and the In my other my OG league, I'm middle
of the pack. I think I'm in like fifth or
something like that, just kind of tread and water. Win
one week, lose one week, like one of those kind
of things. But it is your Buddies league that is

(02:20):
the biggest issue, and it's the only one that really
matters because there is a punishment involved with whoever comes
in last place for this league. Now, this is the
first I've only been in this league two years, and
it's the first time I've ever been in a league
that has that kind of a punishment type of thing.
Last year I avoided it. I didn't make the playoffs,
but I just just barely missed the playoffs, and so

(02:41):
I didn't it was nowhere even near sniffing the punishment.
No big deal. Well this year right now, I am
in dead last place. But I'm in last place by
I think two points or something like that.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Point. Yeah, it was.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
It's like bizarre, and as happenstance has it, I am
playing the guy who is right above me this week
for all the marbles basically, and so whoever wins this
week is safe, and whoever loses is in last place,
So it is everything. This week, I've lost six in
a row in that league, and I don't know how

(03:16):
because I have a pretty good team. I got Lamar
Jackson in that league, I got you know what really
screwed me. And this is funny. If you've listened to
the show all season, you know how high I was
on Stefan Diggs. He going down has screwed me because
my wide receiving spot has been not great. I have
Justin Jefferson, who's, you know, a phenomenal wide receiver, but

(03:39):
he doesn't score a lot of touchdowns. He's hit and miss,
and so when he doesn't have a big, real big week,
which he hasn't really because you know, you can blame
Sam Darnold or whatever, it's it's really affecting me. And
so it's not great. He's been a bust. Yeah, and
I have to play him because I got really nobody else.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
The Amari Cooper trade kind of brow there. I mean,
he's whatever, and he's been hurt. Roma Dunes is kind
of a bust right now. He's going to be a
bust in general in life, but just in fantasy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Well, and again, these a lot of these guys I
didn't expect to play. I thought those guys were going
to be bench guys, but then injuries happen and you
got to put them in and things like that, and
so it has been a disaster, an absolute disaster for me.
And so losing six in a row I did not
see coming. And so I am right now in last place,
and so it comes down to this week. So we'll
find out now the punishment if I do end up losing,

(04:32):
I have to wear a dress and be a caddy
for whoever comes in first place on the golf course.
And so obviously I don't want to do that, you know,
I want to laugh at the person that does that.
And so we'll see what happens, and we'll let you
know next week what ends up happening.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
And what sucks for you is you have some of
your best players on a buy this.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Week, so this is a disaster. I have Lamar, who
has been my only saving grace. I mean, Lamar has
been fantastic all year long, and he's on by now.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I think what helps you is I'm looking at the
matchup right now. The guy you're going against has one, two,
three guys playing tonight, and and and uh, Alma Ross
Saint Brown against Green Bay Jaden Reid and who was
the other one? I just saw shoot, and there's one

(05:21):
more than I just want to Oh and Tyler Tucker Craft,
I don't so you know if he you're either.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Gonna you're gonna know pretty quickly. Yeah, because three guys
is a lot like Reed last week scored two touchdowns.
But he's not gonna do that boom or bust all
on raw. He you know, obviously he's the best weapon
that they have. And so yeah, if they throw them
the ball out, that's gould be a disaster free Craft
hit miss. So yeah, who knows. Tonight's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
A very It's gonna be vera.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So we'll see what happens. But man, it is not
looking good the old big guy here, it's not great.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I also like he has Mahomes going against the Chargers
D I don't like that matchup. If I was him,
I wouldn't start Mahomes this week. I know it's in, Uh,
it's in. It's at home, but it doesn't matter. The
Charters defense is really good, so I think she's are
barely winning these games.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
So I had to pick up a quarterback because Lamar
is on by, and so I put it in a
waiver request for Russell Wilson. I was like, okay, you know,
somebody else of course got him before me.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
But I like who you got it?

Speaker 1 (06:18):
So you're the one that suggested this. I wouldn't have
thought to make this pick, but I went, maybe, you know,
I guess I can do that, And so he was
available and ended up picking up Derek Carr. Now this
helps when I looked at at his stats and he actually,
fantasy wise, is having a pretty good season. Obviously was
hurt a little bit. Yeah, but when he plays, he

(06:38):
does pretty well.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, And you look at this, I mean, the Giants
are without Dexter Lawrence for the year. His backup is
rakeem Nunia's roaches. He's not gonna play. It's it's it's
The Giants are at the point of the season where
if you're nicked you're not if you're nicked up, you're
not playing. Deontay Banks, who's the best corner, he's not
gonna play. And Bobby o'cake, the best linebacker, he's not
gonna play. So you're still gonna have Brian Burns and

(07:00):
Cavon but they're not great. So I cannot imagine the
Giants stopping the Saints at all. The only thing I'm
worried about is if maybe it becomes the Avin Kamara
Show and it gets like eight touchdowns, which he's done,
He'll throw them. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I just
I would start any Saint on offense, any offensive player
would that's on the Saints.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I'm really nervous, man, I'm really nervous. But I hope,
I hope that's correct. But we'll see what happens. I
gave you a little piece of fantasy advice too that
ended up working out for you. Last week. You were
leading by two points and he was done. Yeah, he
still had the depense place playing on Monday night football,
and I went, well, why don't you just sit them,

(07:40):
yeah and play nobody rather than risk having a negative score,
because that's the only way you could lose.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
No, it's definitely a sneaky little fantasy play that you
did there. Yeah, and it didn't It didn't hurt me
because they score like seventeen, but at one point it didn't. Yeah,
it didn't matter at one point. Yeah, it was like,
what did they score thirty eight? Browns were scoring. Yeah,
I didn't even think about it. So little manipulation, right,
that helps because if I it wasn't even a matter.
There's no buys in that league. So I just have

(08:06):
to get in the playoffs, that's all. It doesn't matter
where position you're in, where you're standing is just get in.
And I knew if I won, I got it in,
so I was just like, I'll take the two point win. Yeah,
might as well, Yeah, rich orn Berger.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Okay, losing to name names, but yeah, you can ask
us questions every week. Hit us up on Twitter or
x whatever you want to call it, at the show
Eddie at the show, thor or you can email us
your questions every week when we'll try to answer him.
This question says, wanted to know if I should start
Rico Dwodole versus Cincinnati or Breese Hall versus Miami in

(08:38):
my flex spot.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Oh man, listen, I know you're probably, you know, happy
that Rico dow would have went for one hundred plus
versus the Giants. Two things, The Giants are awful.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Well, let me tell you something. The Bengals defense is
the worst.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
The Bengals defense is the worst. But Rico dal Wittle
didn't even come close to one hundred yards until he
played the Giants defense. I would start Breeze Hall. Breese
is still Breese Hall. I'm starting Breese Hall. I'm gon
disagree more. Wow.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah, just because of that Bengals defense. They're god awful.
It doesn't matter who they play, They're gonna give up
forty points in a game. And so I like, I
like doubt all on that spot. And I get it,
Breese Hall is the bigger name, but what does it.
I mean, he's been so inconsistent, And yeah, I just
I don't. I don't like any Jet offensively. So yeah,
there you go. Who do you like a quarterback? Jamis

(09:26):
Winston or Russell Wilson in a standard league?

Speaker 2 (09:29):
I go Russell Wilson in this one. I know you're
thinking Jamis is on fire right now. This is one
of those games where Jamis isn't gonna be on fire.
They're playing in jams, they're playing in Pittsburgh. Now next
week in the playoffs, when you're in Cleveland against a
bad secondary that the Chiefs have, I would start Jamis.
He may throw a couple picks, but he may go
off this week against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. They got

(09:49):
a good defense. I'm not starting James.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah. If you look at Jamis's stats, he kind of
has one good week, one bad week, one good week,
one bad week, and even his good week, he's still
gonna throw a couple inner. So that's just Jameis. That's
what you give from Jamis. Russ is playing incredible right now.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Now.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Do I expect him to have another four hundred yard
whatever game. No, I don't. I don't expect that, but
I do expect him to play pretty well. So that's
an easy pick for me. I'm taking Russell Wilson in
that one. I got a question. Sounds like this person
is in sort of a situation like me. I have
lamar on By this week. Not sure who to grab
off the waiver wire. Would you pick up Jameis Woodston,
Matthew Stafford or Caleb Williams this week.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
I wouldn't touch Caleb Williams. I just don't trust him yet.
I pick up Stafford.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
He's injured though, so that's the only question mark about
Stafford going into the game. He's questionable, so then it
could he could be fine.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah, but if he's questionable going into the game then,
and and if you're worried about somebody picking up your guy,
then you got to pick up Caleb.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Yeah, I don't like I said, I don't like Jamis
this week. The Stafford situation makes me nervous. Caleb. You know,
he still puts up pretty good numbers. His stat line
has been pretty good the last few weeks against the
forty nine ers. Though you know they listen, they're not
the forty nine ers that we expect, they said, but
they still got some guys on there, you know, like
the Fred Warners of the world, guys like that. But no,

(11:08):
both they're in.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
A rough spot though the Niners. How many times do
we see a coach get fired and then the following
week that team that fires a coach win a game.
That's true, So that's the only thing I think that,
and it's it's it's in San Francisco. But still that
that worries me. Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
I would keep my eye on Stafford if he plays
probably your guy, but I would I would say that
out of the other guys, I'd probably go Kleb. Last
question says who would you start in the flex spot
in PPR rome A Dunsa or Xavier Worthy.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
God couldn't be more of a one trick pony. And
for some reason, I know, but for some reason they
cannot connect on deep balls. So I mean, I don't know.
I guess I guess Worthy just because Mahomes is there.
I like, I would.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Probably give a Dunsay as the spot on this one,
just because you know they they like a Dunsay and
there there is a connection with Kleb. Last week didn't
go so well. I think he got like two balls
last week. Uh, and Keenan Allen went off. But it's
kind of like pick your poison in that offense. Is
it gonna be Dj Moore? Is it gonna be Keenan?
Is it gonna be a Roma dunees A every week?

(12:15):
You don't know, But I like, I would probably trust
Rome just a slight bit more. It's a it's a
rookie choice, so you never know. So it's it's a
little bit tricky. All right, Let's get to your starts
and sits for the week. At quarterback, who do you like?

Speaker 2 (12:28):
I'm going with Baker Mayfield this week. I think, man,
he's having a good year. They're playing, Uh, the Raiders.
I think the Raiders. I don't think the Raiders have
quit like the Giants have quit. I think the Raiders
are playing like the Browns and the Panthers where they're
still kind of in games. So I think the risk
of the Raiders. I don't think it's a slam dunk
that Bucks win. But again, they should have been the Chiefs.

(12:49):
They should be the Chiefs. Yeah, they're still in it,
you know, And I eight and O'Connor's not terrible, but
I would pick I would pick the id take Baker. Yeah, well,
they have a lot more to play for it too. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
I earlier the Bengals defense is absolutely atrocious. That being said,
I don't I don't think that they will lose against
the Cowboys. I think the Bengals will probably win. But
I do expect Cooper Rush to play well. Yeah, so again,
you play, you play a bad defense, I'm expecting the
quarterback to do well. So you know, we were talking
about guys to pick up in here and there. Cooper

(13:19):
Rush may be available. He may be available in your league,
and if so, that may be the guy that go
with this week. Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (13:25):
I sit this week? You're not gonna like brock Party listen.
I mean, you got what's his name is? Hurt? Ayuk's
hurt legend. Devo has been awful for I've been looking
at his numbers. He has had one hundred yards receiving
since October tenth. The Christian McCaffrey's hurt, his backup's hurt.
I know, I just think they're in a bad situation

(13:46):
this week against a team that just fired their coach.
I don't think they're gonna be blown out or anything.
I just the Bears have a good defense. I just
wouldn't start rock Party this week.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Dare you I sit this week? We've been talking about
it quite a bit on the show. It's Jameis Winston.
I'm not starting Jamis this week against Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's got
a great defense. Jamis is so unreliable. I mean, he's
just so all over the place. You know, he's gonna
probably throw four picks in this game. I just there's
no way I'm starting Jamis this week. Running back. Who's
your start?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
This is an obvious one, and I know that you're
going to be like, of course you're going to start him.
Alvin Kamara. He may have five million yards this weekend.
The Giants have. The Giants have no ability, I don't know,
no ability to stop the run. Remember a few years
ago when he had six touchdowns? Yeah, look for that
from Alvin Kamara this weekend. Okay, I know you Giants

(14:33):
owen six at home. I'm telling you it's all the
makings of a beatdown. People think they could sneak this
one out in what world? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Who's saying might start this week again? You just mentioned it.
No Christian McCaffrey, You had no Jordan Mason. So who's
the next guy up? Isaac Grendo, So he's got to
be the guy. I mean, you know he's going against
the Bears. They're gonna feed the ball. The one time
he played, he started, he actually had over one hundred
yards and played really well. So I think he's not bad.
And again he could be a sneaky waiver wire pick
up for you as well.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Who's your sit anyone that had Kareem Hunt all season?
I'm sorry, your time is up. Isaiah Pacheco is back.
I don't think. I don't know if i'd start either
of them. The Chargers have a really great run defense,
and this is gonna be a tough, physical game, So
I probably wouldn't start either of them. But I'm not
definitely not starting Kareem Hunt. He's not the guy anymore.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
My sit this week is a guy who's had a really,
really good season. But I don't like the matchup this week.
Cuba Hubbard. Sorry, Cuba, I don't think that you're gonna
play very well this week. It's gonna be a really
tough matchup for you. So I've just the Eagle's defense.
It's completely turned to course, I mean completely dominant right now,
so it'd be tough, all right, Wide receiver, who's your
start again?

Speaker 2 (15:38):
There's a lot of buys this week, so I'm going
with old faithful Jacobe Myers. Now I know what you're thinking,
Jacoby Myers. Look at his numbers for the month of November.
He's gone over one hundred yards twice, He's got ninety
seven yards once. He only really had one bad game.
I don't think the Bucks have this great secondary. They're
gonna blitz like crazy, so he should have a ton
of opportunities here. Jacoby Meyer.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
So interesting, Jacob, Okay, that's it might start this week again.
This for me, I'm looking at this game as is
pretty much a win, almost like an eliminator game really
between the Cardinals and the Seahawks, this is a very
important game. I expect big numbers in this game. And
I'll be honest with you, I think Marvin Harrison Junior

(16:23):
has really had a hit and miss kind of disappointing season.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Him and neighbors have had pretty disappointing.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
The Neighbors that can't blame because his quarterback situation. But
Harris should be better. Yeah, I mean he should be dominant,
and they don't really feed him the ball that much.
But I gotta imagine if you're going to win, and
you need to win as the Arizona Cardinals, you gotta
get Marvin Harrison Junior the ball this week against Seattle.
So I like Marvin Harrison this week.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Who's your sit I talked about him a few minutes ago,
Deebo Samuel. I'm not starting him. You can't start them.
I don't hate the Niners. I just think that's a
tough bat. I'm not starting. I know that it's not
I think their defense is good. I think the nine
are just they're just it's just not there here man twisted.
I mean the worst. Let me tell you my sit
is name. Damnit, I'm going all rookies. Sorry. I wouldn't

(17:08):
start Molik Nahbers either. I'm being forced to this week,
but I wouldn't start him. Yeah, I mean, what, what's
the point? Like? Is it still Drew Long? He gets
ten Yeah, he gets ten catches for thirty yards. They've
turned the one of the more explosive receivers ever to
come out of college into a possession receiver.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
The good thing is he'll still be good. He wants
to get a quarterback down there. But this week the
tight end, who's your start?

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Uh? This is again there's a lot of buys this week.
So I'm saying I think the Chargers usually do a
pretty good job taken down Travis Kelcey, especially when what's
his name plays at linebacker? Oh my god, the Charge's
best linebacker. Oh my god, I'm not sure Denzel not
Derren's a peramut Joey Bosa. I don't know who you're

(17:50):
talking about. I forgot his name. It's killing me and
it's embarrassing. You're not talking about James Derwin. James usually
a safety. He usually does a good job shutting down
Travis Kelsey. He didn't play last time they played he
was suspended. So I think the ball will go to
Noah Gray. He's been really good this year as a
second tight end. Look for Noah Gray to catch touchdown.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
He has been catching touchdowns. This is this is a
wild to get ready for it.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Get ready for it. Derwin James safety not a linebacker right.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
My start this week is a guy who's completely turned
it around. We were wondering all beginning part of the season.
He might have been the number one tight end selected
this year, but he did nothing. And then finally they're
getting the ball. Sam Laporta for the Lions is completely back.
Now he's back to catching touchdowns. They're back to throwing
them in the football.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
This is a huge game with the Lions taking on
the Packers. I gotta imagine if you're the Lions, you're
probably again going to be looking for Sam Laporta to
do big things this week. So I like Laporta this week.
Who's your sit?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Kyle Pitts is one of the bigger busts in the history.
Every week we talk every week. Every the year he
came out, mal Kiper said he was the best tight
end to ever enter the draft. He should be physically
looking at him, and he is. He doesn't.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
He stinks.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
He's not good, and I don't get I wouldn't be surpriveed.
They don't even pick up his fifth year option. He stinks.
So I am not start. I'm done with Kyle Pitts.
I'd rather start no offense at this point over Kyle
Pitts or no agree or no agree.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
My sid this week is a guy who's sort of
had a little bit of a resurgence. You probably didn't
see it coming, but Miami has been using him quite
a bit, John hu Smith. But again, as matchups go,
I don't like him taking on the Jets this week.
That's gonna be an interesting game. I gotta imagine, you know.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
The Jets are they're gonna win a game.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I gotta imagine that they're still They're still good as
far as.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Like talent goes. They just don't Roger put it together.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
He's terrible defensively, is more what I'm talking about. But
I don't I don't like John hu Smith this week.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
I don't think he's gonna have a very good game.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
So there you go. There's your starts and your assists
for the week. Pray for me that I don't come
in last place. We'll let you know next week, and
hopefully you go out there and get a win.
