be coming here to Asheville for hisNew Money tour. And we are so
excited to have Andy here in townin Asheville. But I got Andy on
the line. How are you Andy? It's a great day. How are
you doing? Doing great? Ihave a quick question for you. Yes,
Now, I know you've already performedat Beal Street Music Festival, You've
(00:22):
performed at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. But are you kicking off your actual tour
here in Asheville. Yes, theactual tour starts in Nashville. That's you're
very pumped about. That's awesome. Can I ask why you chose Ashville to
kick off your tour? Because Ilove Asheville. The people of actually are
really special to me. It's likea very artistic community, and so you
(00:42):
make the right place to start.Well, that's awesome to hear. I
know we're really we're really excited tosee you and to have you in town.
And I know that you are workingon new music. You released your
new single, Love is the NewMoney? You release it in May.
Can we expect to hear anything newfrom you soon? Maybe a new album?
Release. Yes, definitely, we'redropping the album pretty soon. You
(01:07):
know, sometimes it takes a littlewhile to get exactly right, but that's
always worth it and to be ableto go out and play out. You
know, a bunch of the songsare already out because we've been kind of
releasing them once, like one everysix months. So the tour. On
the tour, a lot of thesongs from the album will we're gonna be
playing and we're in rehearsals right now. It's gonna be really fun. I'm
really excited. So can people expectto hear some of your new music here
(01:30):
in Asheville? Yes, I probablyhas. The setlist looks like now there's
probably like two songs that are brandnew that no one's heard, and then
a lot of the old good stuffand then the stuff off that's been released
from this album already. Ah,that's awesome to hear see Ashville. We're
super special. I love that.Yeah, of course. Now, Andy,
we'll be performing live on the outdoorstage at the Salvage Station on Tuesday,
(01:53):
July eleventh. You're going to bejoined by Devin Cole who's opening the
show. So that's awesome. Andif you don't know. Doors open at
five thirty, the music starts aroundsix thirty. What I love about your
show is that it's an all agesevent show and it's free for children under
the age of seven. Is therea reason why you chose that? You
(02:13):
know? I realized pretty early onwith my style of music, there's not
really an age Limit's like it's literallylike seven to seventy and everybody comes in
parties, and that's that's what Ilove. That's like what I'm all about.
So it doesn't make sense to likeput an age limit on it.
It's just more fun to have everybodyto be invited. Okay, but I
have a question for you. Sothe music video for Love is the New
(02:34):
Money was. We just got acamera crew and I went around and told
people in my everyday life that Iloved but didn't necessarily like get a chance
to say so that much because Iwas a little awkward. I just like
went to my dentist and told herhow much I loved her. I went
to my favorite barist at my coffeeshop. I went to my agent,
I went to my keyboard player's houseand just like looked him in the eye
and told him I love is theresomeone that you would love to get some
(02:57):
love too right now on the radiothat you shout out you know, I
would love to give a shout outto my server at Costas when you come
to town. I highly recommend youcheck them out, but they're located in
Fletcher. She is so sweet. Her name is Melissa, and she is
the sweetest person on this planet. She remembers me every time I walk in
(03:19):
and she remembers our order, andI'm like, girl, thank you for
making my life so special my day. So you know, we're headed out.
We're on this tour, the Loveto Do Money Tour, and we're
just trying to create more interactions likethat. Before we go on stage,
we put one of my band membersin a chair and everyone just goes around
and says one thing that they loveabout them. And it's so simple,
like it's not like rocket science. But every time you do it, everybody
(03:42):
like almost cries because if you createjust like a little bit of space to
share some love with people, it'sreally powerful. So that's kind of a
theme of this tour. And Ipromise if you come and you will feel
like a good amount of love, which we all need right now. Desperitely
aim into that we could all usethat type of love. And I'm looking
forward to your show and enjoying andsharing in that positivity. That sounds amazing.
(04:05):
