Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Star family. He is a comedian, he's an
impractical joker, a podcaster, a dog lover, and he's going
to be in Nashville doing a show at Harris Cherokee
Event Center here in Nashville. Please welcome in the show,
Joe Gotto, Joe, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hey, thank you so much for having me. I appreciate you, man,
We appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
We're looking forward to the show. It's going to be,
like I said, at Harris Cherokee Center, Ashville, and it's
going to be you up. What next Thursday?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, it's coming up. It's coming up. I hope people
are getting ready by stretching out, we're ready to have
a good time.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It's a part of the Let's get into It tour.
What can we expect?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, Let's Get into a Tour is my new stand
up comedy hour, And basically, I want to take a
look at and figure out how people have become the
people they are. Like, I don't know your journey. I
know how you and Ariel got where you're at, but
you know, I look and look at me and I'm
now this loud, boisterous, confident comedian. But I started very
differently when I was younger, I was a super nerdy,
geeky kid. I used to make tests for my father

(00:58):
he was at work. I used to open up the
encyclopedias and prepare a multiple choice exams for my god.
So when he gotten home from selling life Inshurets's, well,
that was door to door. I did him with a
pop quiz. So it's very different to see that. Now.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
That's what every dad loves, coming home a pop quiz.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
He's like, could you just be a real boy Pinocchio, like,
pick up a ball?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh my gosh, Joe. We uh here in Ashville and
the surrounding western North Carolina area, it's been a really
hard few months for us since Hurricane Heleen, and we
need some laughter, brother, and we are looking forward to
you coming man. We really are.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, yeah, I'm coming down there. I mean, I know
you guys have been through it. You know a portion
of my proceeds are going to go to their relief
efforts down there. I really am you know, I'm with
you guys, And I really just love to make an
event where people can come and forget about they troubles
for a little bit. I pride myself on that, you know,
be it date nights, family nights, people coming by themselves,
making a new friend. You know, everybody's nice in the room.

(01:56):
Let's get together and do it. And I know you
guys need some laughter. And I truly think it's the
best medics. And so I'm happy to come down.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Man, I love everything about that.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
I know this is your second time in the past
two years coming down. You came down back in twenty
twenty two, and I just want to ask, what do
you remember about Ashville? Is there something that you love?
Do you plan on revisiting anything around Ashville your second
time around.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Well, I'm looking forward to get back into like into
the community. I'm not one of those comics that sits
in our hotel room and waits for showtime. I love
to get a coffee and a doughnut, walk around Main Street,
pop into some mom and pop stores, and you know,
see everything. So that's I'm looking forward just to come
down there, see the fans on the streets, get into
you know, get a good doughnuts somewhere, okay, you know,

(02:38):
and do that. Like I really do enjoy that part
of the part of the travels. You know, it's not
just it's not just a show. It's not just showtime,
it's it's seeing the cities and getting with the fans
and you know, bumping into people in the excitement that creates.
So I'm very much looking forward to coming back down there.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
For those that haven't tried it out, you haven't listened,
it's on the free iHeartRadio app. Tell us about Two
Cool Moms. You guys just started. Are you on what
a second season or third season?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah? Second season of our podcast means Steve Byrne, very
funny comedian friend of mine. We run the Two Cool
Moms podcast. It was it's basically homage to our mothers,
who were very they you know, very direct with their advice,
very good, you know, beacons of wisdom, and we'd like
to think we inherited that gene. So Steve and I

(03:25):
we know each other for over ten years at this point,
we would just fit and talk comedy or whatever for
the first half hours, and then the second half hour
we basically help with fans submitted dilemmas, you know, any
problems that people have, they they send our way and
we try to figure it out as best we can.
The advice is either good bed terrible, but always fun.
So we try to do what we can.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
When I was introducing you, I missed one. You do
so much. You're also an author. You've got a kid's book,
Where's Barry? And yeah, where'd that come from? He?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
You know, Barry is based on a true story. My
son at nighttime had lost his stuffed animal and then
he parent knows what a catact for me that could be.
So he had to go on a little hunt to
find it, and we didn't know where it was, so
he had to like calm himself down and try to
find it. And luckily he was able to because he
was playing hide and seek with it, and he hid
it under a pot in the kitchen, underneath the cabinet,

(04:18):
underneath the sink, like we never would have found it,
you know, and became it was a really cool story
and really cute, and I sent it over and got
illustrated by the very talented Luke Flowers, who really made
the story come to life. And he was a jokers fan,
so he put a bunch of impractical jokers like he'sterregged
in the book. There's like a box of screw. But yeah,
it's really cool. It came together so nicely, and I'm

(04:38):
really proud of.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
It, all right, Joe. I'm getting the look my show
wife Ariels is giving me the eyes because you just
said it, and I was gonna, I was going to
beg you to say, can you say it one more time?
Can you give me this?

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Yeah? You know what, Joe.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
He's been saying it all week and I'm like, please,
don't embarrass me in front of joke.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Got it.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Hopefully they get yelled at me on the regular across
the country. I get all these videos I'm tagged in
of these children just throwing around mashed potatoes the kitchen.
I'm like, oh, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, we got Joe got all the line his show.
Let's get into it. It's coming to Ashville Harris Turkey Center,
Ashville next Thursday. Tickets around sale now through Ticketmaster. Joe again, Man,
thank you so much for taking the time to be
on the show. Thank you for coming and, like you said,
bringing some laughter and relief to an area that that
desperately needs it. Man and uh, we loved you when

(05:36):
you were here a couple of years ago, and we're
so glad you're coming back.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Thanks so much. I'm really excited to come down there
and have some fun with everybody. I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Guys, thank you, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Joe Gotto, Yes, yes, thank you so much,
