Speaker 2 (01:19):
Well, Welcome back to the Friendly confines A Bulldog Stadium
tonight for Week number four of the high school football season. Tonight,
it's region matchup again for the Opalaika Bulldogs, as the
Dogs will try to shake off a tough Week three
loss to the Auburn High Tigers twenty eight twenty one,
a game that got away from the Dogs late in
that fourth quarter. Dogs two and one on the season

(01:40):
entering tonight's matchup, though, and they're zero to one in
area play, looking for their first region win tonight against
the Jag Jaguars. I'm being rigged on a lostside. Coach
Spence mccrack and Mac mccrack will be roaming our sidelines
tonight and Jason Lee will be spotting for us here
atop the press box area of the Friendly confines A
Bulldogs Stadium. This is a fourteen fourteen even matchup between

(02:03):
Jag formerly Jeff Davis, a team that you're really familiar with.
Coach mccracking a different look this year for the Jag
squad coming here to the Bulldog Studium. They're purple and yellow,
the new colors here for the Jaguars. They get ready
to take on the Bulldogs tonight and coach first three
weeks one week was off the second week of the
season for Jag, but a fifty to six loss to
who had trustful a home forty six nothing lost to Carver.

(02:25):
They've really struggled offensively and it's a team trying to
find some sort of rhythm in a tough place for
them to play tonight here at Bulldog Studio.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Yeah, a van.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
They are LSU colors.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
They've changed the LSU colors, which is, you know, a
little different what the old Jeff Davis used to be.
But this Jag football team, I'm gonna be honest with
you now tonight. I'm gonna not pull out any punches.
All I care about is our dogs and how we play.
And you know, after that game last Friday, we had

(02:59):
a good chances to win that game and we didn't
get it. And you know, I know Brian's challenge those
kids to and we're not gonna lose another win, not
gonna lose another game this year. You know, I'm gonna
make a prediction, and I'm gonna be telling the kids that,
and I'm hoping and praying that they're gonna play better,

(03:20):
even though there were times they really really played good
last Friday night. But I just want to see a good,
clean football game. I want to see us run the ball,
and I want us to win the last five minutes
of the game, first five of the third quarter, last
five and a half, and the first five of the game,

(03:42):
Van and stick to our fundamentals. See if we can
get a win tonight.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
All right. Last week it was Calvin Huglely, a big
night for him. He had twenty three carries for two
hundred and seventy five yards right and a touchdown. On
the season, Calvin has rushed for three and so well.
I well, I should say Calvin is rush for four
hundred and twenty four yards on forty four carries, four touchdown.
He's averaging nine point six yards of carry. He has

(04:10):
been outstanding so far this season. We'll take a quick
time out. Our pregame show is presented to you by
Frederick Dean Funeral Home as we broadcast tonight from the
Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth back after this time out, you're
listening to Bulldog Football here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Now it's time for a pregame visit with OPAA like
a head football coach Brian Moore, presented by South State Bank.
Now with coach, here's Van Riggs.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Get me back here inside Bulldog Stadium tonight, OPAKA getting
set the take on the jag Jaguars and Coach. I
know that it was a tough one on Friday, emotional
game like going into that and I thought your team
played really good at times during that game. What was
your message to the team and how do they bounce back?

Speaker 6 (04:46):
Yeah, I mean it was just a heartbreaking deal for us,
just with how hard we played and not being able
to finish, you know, being up in the fourth quarter
and you know this team has to learned how to
finish ball games. But man, you know I just went
in the locker room, just me and the play and
just said, look, you know, it's this is our fault.

Speaker 7 (05:03):
You know what happened tonight was on us.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
It starts with me first and foremost, and I.

Speaker 6 (05:08):
Didn't have the team, you know, ready to finish a
ball game like that, and so you know we're going
to continue to work on that. But truthfully, to be
able to do that, you got to taste it. You know,
it's just got to happen for you and do all
you can at practice. But until you feel that in
a ball game and finish one of those you know,
huge ones that we'll be in throughout the year, you know,
it's really hard to understand what it takes. But we
had a great week of practice and our kids are

(05:29):
ready to bounce back.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
You rush for over two hundred yards against a really
good Auburn high defense and Calvin one hundred and seventy
five yards. What a night he had.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
He is really playing out of his mind. I mean
he's running for almost ten yards of carry.

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Obviously a lot of people have a lot to do
with that, you know, our our offensive line and fullbacks
and the job that they've done, our tight ends, our
perimeter blocking, you know, with our receivers doing an incredible
job of being physical, and our quarterbacks keeping us in
good place, keeping you know, the box count low and
making sure we can flip screens out there and stuff
to keep people off. With Calvin, but been really really

(06:02):
impressed with him, and we really needed to continue.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I was actually talking to coach Ether's son walking out
of the stadium and he goes, boy, I tell you
what number thirty's a man, and yes, he yes, Coach,
He's a good weapon to have back back there as well,
no doubt.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Blake Johnson's had an incredible start to his season, had
a big catch. I think he had seven runs as
a fullback. And so we're kind of old school in
that way, running some you know, belly and some old
school stuff. But it's been fun. Blake is so multiple.
But you know there's others too, you know, Jordan Waite's
and some of those guys. Jordan just wait, you know,
I'll have his breakout game. Maybe it'll happen tonight. But

(06:34):
we're really pleased to where we are running the football and.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Your quarterback you mentioned Kobe Key. He was eleven to
thirteen ninety seven yards. The one interception just kind of
one of those tip batted passes. Just a tough break
for him there at the end. But what a good
night he had.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Yeah, he's been really, really efficient.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
He's over ninety percent completion percentage on the year, which
is an incredible number.

Speaker 7 (06:51):
I keep saying each week we need to do more
with him.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
Kobe's a guy that can handle a lot, and so
it was good to see him play well, especially kind
of with the circumstances and you know, him having gone
to Auburn to school at one point in his life
and to you know, to move to Opal, Like I thought,
that was a big moment for him to handle.

Speaker 7 (07:08):
It was very mature.

Speaker 6 (07:10):
Tough break on the throw. You know, we had a
guy open. You just hate that happen. It does happen
at times, but we'll learn from it and grow.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
What are some things that stands out the way your
defense played? I know, a couple of tough breaks there
in the secondary, but other than that, a pretty solid night.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
Yeah, I mean, you know, other than really the one bust.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
You know, I kind of had mentioned after the game
there were two, but you know, really the throw that
the Kilgore kid made to the middle of the field
was an incredible throw and you know, we had two
guys on and we just missed it. And you know,
tip your cap to that, you know, level of play,
especially you know, with with the type of people we play.
But in the second one we busted. But you know,
I thought Carson Moss really played well. You know, I

(07:48):
thought Ty Hudson. He had twelve tackles in the game.
Really played well, I thought her back in. You know,
for the most part, we really locked in and against
a team that threw it really well. I think they
threw it for around two hundred yards with seventy seven
of them came on one play, and so I'm really
pleased with where we were defensively, but we got to
eliminate the big plays. That continues to be our achilles heel,

(08:08):
and we're working hard at it every week.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I know, you got a tough break there before the game,
Johnny getting a little banged up and had to go
to reach the entire game in the kicking department too.

Speaker 7 (08:17):
Yeah, I thought I was. I didn't know what was
going on.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Our coaches came over and said Johnny can't go, and
I didn't see anything happen. And you know, Johnny's had
some injuries over the years, you know, this time just
a little hip deal.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
But he'll be back.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
But I tell you this, I went to Johnny before
the game and and and just you know, hugged him
and he just was so distraught.

Speaker 7 (08:36):
You know, that game meant so much to him. And
he'll be back. But I thought Reese Beasley played really well.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
We'll have a better plan as far as kickoffs, you know,
I thought the field position was a major issue in
the game. Both with our return team. We did not
return kicks well. Their kid kicked it to the one
a couple of times and set us back. And then
you know, for us on our our kicking team, we
got to trust Reese and the fact that he can
kick the ball and the ends on two.

Speaker 7 (08:57):
I kind of took that away from with some.

Speaker 6 (08:59):
Skykicks, but really pleas with with Reece, especially being a
tenth grader in that moment.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
All Right, we'll be right back and continue our visit
with coach Brian Moore as we get ready for another
big home game for the Bulldogs tonight against the jag
Jaguars after this time out back here at Bulldogs Stadium
as we get ready tonight home game against the jag Jaguars,
another region game, Coach, all these are important and I

(09:23):
know you want to pick up that first region win,
no doubt.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
I mean you know that you know this team has
athletes for sure. Coach up Church does a really good
job and name a lot of people know you know,
he does a really good job with them. Matter of fact,
the first kickoff against I can't remember who it was,
but we got a kickoff return for a touchdown the
very first play in a huge game for them early
in the year. So they've got some guys in the

(09:47):
back that do a really good job.

Speaker 7 (09:49):
And so you know what I'm seeing is.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
A lot of talented kids running around and so we'll
have to run and tackle these guys and hopefully we'll
get back.

Speaker 7 (09:56):
On the winning track.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
But you're right, I mean, Region play always tough with
the people we play, so we play really well.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Yeah, anytime you play these Montgomery teams, I know you
always got to watch out because speak and kill them,
especially in the special teams. I saw that it was
against you at Trustful, I think in the first game
of the season, so I know defensively they'll have to
be be watching that on offense, and then of course
in the special teams as well, no doubt.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
I mean again, you know they've got guys. The receiver
for is a really good player. He may have been
the one that returned the kick for a touchdown that
they had really on play one there, But yeah, they
do a good job there. They've got guys that.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
Can run and tackle, and so if we're not clean,
you know, it will be in this ball game and
we'll have to really play well.

Speaker 6 (10:33):
But you know, we're excited to get back out there
and play. I tell you, after a week like last week,
you know, it's just nice to get back. And obviously
being in Bulldog Stadium's huge for us as well.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
All right, I know it was real physical. How's everybody healthy?
Wives coming into this week?

Speaker 6 (10:45):
Just you know, a little banged up, you know, And
I think everybody's kind of going through that right now,
ankles and knees and you just hope it's not too bad.
So who have a few that'll sit tonight. But had
a great week of practice, another physical week of practice.
I felt like that was important for us, and so
you know, hoefully we will stay healthy. But yeah, we
got a few nicked up, but I think everybody goes
through that at this point.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Coach appreciate the visit things so much, Thank you and
go dogs head Coach prime Or will be back as
we continue with our pregame show here on ninety seven
point seven Kicker FM spare to the south marching vand

(12:17):
with a national anthem, here and signed Bulldogs Stadium as
we get you ready for tonight's matship between the Opelika
Bulldogs and the jag Jaguars, coming to you from the
North Peda Clinic Broadcast booth, Van riggslows sign coach Pence
mccrackett Mac mccrack will we give it us our sideline
reports tonight. Jason Lee will also be spotting for us
here in the booth as we get you ready for
this one. Trying to bounce back Bulldogs tonight coach trying

(12:38):
to bounce back from a twenty eight to twenty one
loss to the auburnheidh Tigers, one that Auburn scored fourteen
points in the fourth quarter to pull off that big win.
And with that said, coach, let's get to your keys
to the game.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
You are listening to Opelika High School Football here on
ninety seven point seven Kicker FM, and no, it's time
for Coach's the Game presented by Glenn Smith's Chevrolet GMC
and Obeli Jah and getting ready to smile?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
All right, coach, what we got to do to win
this game?

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Well, let me take this back from the Auburn game
and the end of this game here's here's defensively, we
got to not give up big plays.

Speaker 5 (13:17):
We gave up six big plays to Auburn High School.
We only made.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Three van and all those plays where one run play
and the rest was throw it up and them catch
it behind. Our secondary got to do better and not
allowing big plays. We've got to get some turnovers. We've
got to convert excuse me, stop third and down, third
and fourth down conversions and no stupid penalties.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
And I tell you what.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Auburn was able to not run the ball on us
up the middle, but they got on the edges on us,
and that's what hurt us.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
Offensively when it's going up points to beat him. That's
just that's a fact.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
We can't turn the ball over. We've got to run
the ball. And we ran the ball very well, no
problem with that, but we cannot turn it over. We
can't throw picks. We're not good enough. We've got to
be able to run the football. We got to make
more big plays.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
Man.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
We make three big plays in one game, ten yards
on a rush, fifteen yards.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
On a pass.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
We need some more of those. And our quarterback cannot
make any mistakes. Their quarterback made a couple our quarterback
made a couple. The least mistakes we make, the better
off we're gonna be our kicking game. We didn't have
a great kicking game because our kicker got hurt before
the game last week.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
And so.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
It showed too because we weren't able to get good
coverage on our kicks and they were starting from the
forty yard line almost every drive. So that we got
to do better with our kickoff team. And I know
they've worked on that this week, and we need to.
When they kicked us, we've got to be able to

(15:09):
return it to at least a thirty five yard line.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
We got to make our field goals and extra points,
good snaps.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Our punters done real well except in both games, the
Callaway game and this game he had one shank punt.
The rest of them were good. So'll be a little
more consistent with that. And basically first five minutes of
the game. And I tell you what, man in that
room with those running backs yesterday, I challenge those guys,

(15:40):
the keys to this game is for you to win
the game.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
We don't put up with any more losing around here.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
I mean that.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Just cannot happen anymore. And I'm gonna finish by saying this.
I learned this long time ago from an old coach.
He said, if you want to be self discipline, do
the right thing, and that's play football the right way.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
Do it on time, don't be late, don't get.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Off sides penalties, and then do it the best you
can do it when you get out there on the field.
We had some guys that didn't play hard Friday night,
and Coach Moore told me about those guys, and we're
hopefully we're gonna clear that up and finally do it
that way all the time. We need to be the
kind of a team tonight that plays all out for

(16:32):
forty eight minutes like we.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Do that with the talent we got thirty eight seniors.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
We'll be fun all right, Thanks so much, Coach Bence
McCracken's Keys to the Game. Getting closer to kick off
with the night's matchup between the open Like the Bulldogs
and the jag Jaguars. We're back after this time out
the pregame show presented by Frederick Dean Funeral Home. Hey guys,

(16:59):
getting closer to kick off of the night's game between
the Opalika Bulldogs and the Jag Jaguars. Time now for
our captains taking the field tonight for the Opalika Bulldogs.
Jalen Washington and captain tonight along with Slade Clayton. Also
number four Devin Dixon a captain tonight and number five
Carson Moss. They meet at midfield. Also some of our

(17:19):
local celebrity captains tonight. We've got let's see here, Mike
Mildin out there. We've also got Terry Rosenthal with the
orthopedic clinic and Lane Landers that is the wife of
Ben Landers. And we'll have to check on the rest
of those down there on the field. But Mac McCracken
standing by, They got.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Leave them make sure when the ball's down, if the
offensive player gets the.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Ball to the nears theresier, that way ring to keep
the game move.

Speaker 9 (17:48):
Again right along that? Okay, any questions speaking, Kathley, I've
got a coin that's got a zebra head and a
zebra tails on it. Okay, what's your choice gonna mean?

Speaker 10 (17:57):
So he's calling tails?

Speaker 5 (17:59):
Okay, and it's tails.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
How'd you know that?

Speaker 7 (18:03):
All?

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Right, where's your choice?

Speaker 9 (18:04):
You gon to receive the ball?

Speaker 10 (18:06):
You guys are gonna kick.

Speaker 9 (18:07):
We're going to see the.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Ball let's go with you on your fend.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
All right, so, Opelika, we'll get the football to start
the game. We'll come back with your kickoff on the way.
Next you listen to Bulldog football here on the kicker hi.

Speaker 11 (18:26):
W KKR Auburn Opelikah is League County's Best Country ninety
seven point seven kicker FN and iHeart Country Station.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Just about ready to kickoff tonight between Opelaika and Jag.
Dogs are in the red tops tonight, black pants tonight,
white numbers outlining in black red helmets with the black
Dogs on each side. Jag, as we mentioned earlier, coming
out in the purple pants, white jerseys. Ors it say,
yellow pants, white jerseys and purple numbers and a yellow

(18:59):
hell a different color that we're used to seeing from
the school there on McGhee right off McGee Road on
Carmichael Road, Coach car Carter Hill not Carmichael Carter Hill Road.
I was about to say, I get it right formerly
Jeff Davis. They take the field, Bulldogs are sitting ready
to kick it away as Jag we'll receive won the toss.

(19:22):
One of the football small crowd on the far side
for the Jag Jaguar team tonight, and let's get your
game conditions brought to you by First Baptist Church in Opelaika.
We've had some off and on light rain here in
the beginning of this ball game, but right now feel
like temperature seventy one and we've still got about a

(19:43):
sixty five percent chance for rain through eight o'clock and
then down to around twenty five percent. Still that light
rain continuing to fall here at Bulldog Stadium. Of course,
turf play and surface here at Bulldog Stadium. Coach, you know,
these type of teams, they like to come out sometimes
with some trick plays, maybe like a staf that's you
a liberty or something. You gotta watch that.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
They're gonna try something man early. Hey, first five minutes
of the game. Now, we didn't do great in the
first five against Auburn, so we let let's se see
if we can get us to stop real quick.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
We got TJ.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Thomas, Lightfoot, Autree and Smiley up front.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
Oh, we got an on side.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Kick fan yeah, and on side kick to start the
game and trying to get jagged sleeping and the Jaguars
do come up with it around the forty nine yard line.
So a quick kick there by Reese Beasley to start
and JAG will have starting field position near the fifty
yard line. It'll be from their on forty nine.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
So those aren't good if you don't get them.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Man, well, word just underway here in the opening kick
at onside kick attempt by the Bulldogs and comes up short.
So it'll be JAG starting from their own a forty
nine yard line. First down and ten. Their quarterback is
Jamichael Harris five eleven, one hundred and sixty pounds. You're

(21:00):
Donovan Caldwell. They're starting tailback, and they'll line up with
two receivers to the right, a single receiver here to
the near side. That's Aaron Ashford, ty Hudson.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
And Kate and Harris at linebacker tonight.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
All right, Harris gets to know the tailback will get
the snap. Man he's hemmed up right at the line
of scrimmage. That was Caldwell on the carry, but a
short pick up. There are actually no gain on the play.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Nothing.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah, second down and ten, very good. Carson Moss comes
up with a stop there for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Yeah, Kate and Harris is taking Tyler Moore's place tonight.
Coren Ingram and Devin Dixon at the corners, Moss, Kyris
Pitts and kav and King at the safeties.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Jag Brown their marching band. They're making some noise across
the way and a big group of major ats and
dancers there.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
We need our front and our edge guys to be
do real well tonight.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
All right, we're just underway, still eleven to fifty nine
on the game clock here. Only a second ran off
on that one play from scrimmage there we got a
time out. Yeah, and there's a stoppage in play. It
looks like on the opal like a side here. I
think it's Carson Moss coming out of the ball game, and.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
All right, he's got something wrong with his uh, wrapping
his hand up. They just going to wrap it up.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I don't know. He was looking down at his wrist.
I see trotting out into the ballgame. Norman Matthews, a
junior who's got a lot of play in time. So
Norman in the ball game. Second out and ten again
here Jags is the opening series here of the ballgame.
Jaggal bring a receiver in tight quarterback Will toss it
right side to Calderwell and he has hit over on
the far side of the field. Big time hit by

(22:43):
ty Hudson, the middle linebacker coming over.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
Big hit, big hit.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
That'll bring up a third down and eleven, and Jagg
lost a yard back to the forty eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Wow, boy, I'll tell you what Hudson came up that time.
It's Macarroo. Third and eleven. Here's your first first third
down conversion. Van don't want to give this to him. Now,
let's get pressure on that quarterback. He's gonna chunk it.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yep, he'll They have an empty backfield five wide. Look
here for the Jaguars. Harris out of the shotgun, drops back, steps,
throws and it is caught. We're gonna be well short
of the first down. Good job of the Bulldogs keeping
that one to about a five yard throwing catch, but
well short of the sticks there. We'll see if Jack
decides to go for it. Here Tyrese pints on the stop.

(23:28):
It'll be fourth down and right at fourth and six.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
Six, they're gonna go far it.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
The quarterback also does the punting duties.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
I think they're gonna go for it.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
Man.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Yeah, that was a six yard pickup right at five yards,
it'll be fourth and six.

Speaker 5 (23:45):
They got but thirteen seconds to get the playoff.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Yeah, lakeclock down to ten, down to nine. They are
taking their time. They may want a five yard penalty
and then punt. We'll see. Yeah, maybe, so down to four,
down to three, they're not gonna get the stamp off.
Down to one, and I believe coach up Church is
going to take a time out, time out on the field.
Fourth down coming up here with the Jaguars. We're back
after this time out. You're listening to bulldog football here

(24:10):
on the kicker.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Hey, Oplaka football fans, Jim Myers here, First Baptist Church
of Opaca. I know you're as excited as I am
about coach Brian Moore's inaugural season as the.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
Head coach of Opahaca football.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
But I want to take a moment during this timeout
or break to invite you to one of our many
Sunday services eight thirty nine, five eleven, multiple styles, multiple beanies.
We would love to have you on our campus. But
you know what, it's Friday night, which means it's football night.
So let's get back to Opahlacah football.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Good dogs, all right, out of the timeout. It's fourth
and six, and it looks like now jag will elect
a punt and drifting back will be their quarterback Jamichael Harris.
He also fund, so he'll stand around the thirty nine
yard line to'll wait this punt scrimmage at the opaka

(25:01):
forty seven yard line.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Gotta hold these guys up good.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Now, Dons will send Jamari Miller back. He stands at
around the sixteen seventeen yard line to all wait this punt.
I'm waiting for the snap getting it is Harris in
a line drive boot, and Jamari's gonna let it hit

(25:27):
down at around the sixteen yard line. And that's where
they'll market dead at the sixteen. So the Bulldog offense
will come out first and ten from there, all on
a sixteen yard line.

Speaker 12 (25:37):
All right, We've got Tremaine Thomas, Emperson, Jackson Leeue, Carmel
Torbert starting tonight at right guard, David Miller at right tackle,
Bennett Young and Jamari Miller X and Z receivers Blake Johnson,
Kobe Lee and Calvin Hugh Glee.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
All right, the starting quarterback is actually CJ. Sankey tonight.
He's gonna get the starting nod, so he will be
in there to get the start here. They'll move Blake
Johnson in motion here. On the first play from scrimmage
from the sixteen yard line, it will be a handoff
here near side, a good run up to the twenty
yard line by mister Hugley, and that will be four
yards on the ground. Crandor McCall on the stop. Second

(26:18):
down and six coming up here for the Dogs. Little
sweet right side, Yeah, Miller and Jones now wide to
the left side here on this second down in six
play Dogs from their on twenty yard line. Other hand
off to hugly, hugly big hole twenty five thirty thirty
five first down run hugely spun down up the thirty
seven yard line. McCall again on the stop there for

(26:41):
the Jaguars. They'll give them the thirty eight yard line.
That's an eighteen yard pickup and a good run by
Calvin and a Lambert transfer and storage first down.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
That's a big play in a first down.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Calvin came out kind of holding his arm a little
gingerly there. Certainly hope he's okay. Jordan Waits checks in
the game now for the Bulldogs. Dogs they're on thirty
eight flag on the play.

Speaker 9 (27:06):
Apperson jumped.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Scoreless ball Game nine seventeen, opening quarter. Here between opal
Like and jag there's a five yard penalty that'll mack
the back. The Dogs up back to the thirty three
yard line. It'll be first and fifteen. Now for the Bulldogs.

(27:34):
A lot of big games tonight in the region. We're
gonna keep an eye on Auburn down an enterprise should
be a really interesting game as well. Sinky the quarterback
gets the handoff. No, it's reverse play to Bennet Young.
Here near side Youngs you have the thirty five forty sideline,
thirty across midfield. Stay in bounds and he's down the
forty five and they're gonna mark him down out of
bounds at around the thirty six yard line. Run there

(28:00):
by Bennett Young all the way into thirty six. That's
a thirty one yard gain. I'm Benett Young.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
That's four eighteen and thirty one.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Chalk it up. First down, Doll.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
I didn't know then it was gonna be able to
stay in bounds on that reverse play, but he did
a good job. Tight rope of the sidelines. First and
ten Dogs at the thirty five a Jag. Now here's
a hand off to Waits, cuts it inside and Waits
down close to the thirty yard line. That's close to
six yards. Eric Watson on the stop.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Off tackle power plate to the left side behind Epperson
and Tremaint Thomas, great blocking up front and Jackson Lee
all right.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Gain of five on the play there, So it'll be
second down in five Sankee again. The quarterback hard count
now checks the sidelines.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
I think it's just gonna keep it on the ground.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
I think so too. Eighth five o'clock continuing to run.
Here in the first quarter of a scoreless game between
Opelaika and Jag Bulldog first possession of the game, shanky
play action. He's gonna keep it and he's gonna be
brought down, losing a couple of yards back to the
thirty two yard line. So that'll be a loss of too.
Mike King Johnson on the stop.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Yeah, that was a counter play and the quarterback kept
the ball. Didn't work out good.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Here we go, seven thirty seven, scoreless game, still first quarter,
Dogs on their first drive and facing a third and seven.
I got a feel in this four down territory here.
Now the Dogs will go to the old school I
formation here with Calvin Hugley back in the game, Blake
Johnson the full back.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
Look for the off tackle billy play our sanky option.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Sankee changing his play at the line of scrimmage third
and seven. They handed to Calvin Calvin at the thirty
inside the twenty five and cut down at the twenty
yard line. That's a lambort transfer and storage first down
at play good for twelve yards. Yeah, there's a big
run by the big fella.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Big power play inside.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Got pick Johnson, crand or Baccall again on the stop
for the Jaguars. Under seven minutes left here in the
first quarter. Dog's moving the football six fifty five and
the clock running here. First and ten now the twenty
yard line of Jag. Brody Jones moves in motion. Sankee
wants to throw, throws it out until the Flats got
into Washington at the fifteen Washington down close to the

(30:23):
eleven yard line, and that's going to be close to
another first down nine yard pick up there on the
throw and catch to Jalen Washington Eric Watson on the
stop for Jag.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
Good job, nice stroll by Sankee, nice catch. Good drive
so far.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
Van running the ball, just threw the first pass one
yard for the first down.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Sack it down in a short two coming up here
at the eleven yard line of jag shotgun formation for Sankeye.
They'll give it to Waits. Waits tripped up right at
the line of scrimmage. Good stop there by, watching to
the linebacker coming down, and it'll be a third and
short again here for the Bulldogs. Calvin Hugly checks back
in the ball game.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
It didn't much.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Nobody bought very good that time. You need to make
this first down right here, third and third and about
one and a half.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Yeah, third and h it might as well stay third
and two here, Okay, five forty three opening quarter, There's
been a quick one here. A lot of running sank
you out of the shotgun. It gives the ball to
Calvin Hugly Calvin inside the ten. Calvin stays on his
feet inside the five, and Calvin are walking in the
end zone for the Bulldog touchdown. Five thirty left in

(31:37):
the opening quarner of play. Calvin Hugly give it a
mister dependable there. Number six. Calvin has his fifth touchdown
of the season and continues to have an outstanding senior season.
He puts the Dogs up six nothing, and here comes.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
That's a great blocking on that Jackson Lee and Carmel
Torport over on the right side.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Excellent Reees Beasley in the ballgame. The swinging gate look though,
and the Bulldogs will break it back in now and
line up for the extra point. Cam Railey is your snapper,
Brody Jones is your holder, and here is Reyes Beasley
for the point after attempt. Good snap down and the

(32:19):
kickup and good Dogs on top sevenhing, five thirty left
in the opening quarter at score drive power by Open
like a Power Services hometown people working for you online
at openlakapower dot com. We're back after this time out
Bulldog football. Here on the kicker back here at Bulldog Stadium,

(32:45):
a heat time out on the field after that open
like a Power Services scoring drive. Dogs drive it down
the field in their first possession of the game, inverting
a couple of third downs along the way. Seven nothing,
Dogs on top, five thirty to go here in the
first quarter of play, and let's sat down on the
field for a four seasons Federal Credit Union Sideline report,
mister mc McCracken, Thanks Van yeah.

Speaker 10 (33:05):
Coach Moore told him before the game.

Speaker 13 (33:07):
He said, guys, let's get that bad taste out of
our mouth, and he goes, the only way to do that,
let's start off strong.

Speaker 10 (33:12):
Let's start off fast and play the whole four quarters.
So hey, so far, so good, guys.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Amen, Yeah, a great start, all right, we got our.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
Defense fixed to come out there. Let's see what kind
of kick we got. I ain't gonna know more on
side kicks.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
So here is Reese bees Land, a digg booming kick
and that coach almost out of the back of the ins.
I know that was something that coach Moore really wanted
to see. He had a lot of confidence in Reese.
And I think last week coach got caught up a
little bit there in the special teams, worried about plot
a little bit too much. And you know, he was
one of those dangerous guys you don't wanted to beat
you in the special teams. And but field position was

(33:48):
a big it was a big issue last week.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Now Prescott has had to talk with TJ. Thomas and
Smiley after that Auburn game and then light put in
autrey with coach Owel, let's see if our front knock
him out, and ty Hudson and Tyler Moore's not in
there tonight.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
We've got Kaden Harrison linebacker all right.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
So here's JAG's second possession of the ballgame. They got
the ball in near midfield on an no on sidne
kick attempt by the Bulldogs. There's some motion penalty against
Jang gonna back them up five yards here, so they're
gonna have it from the fifteen yard line here on
the first and fifteen.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Just keep putting the pressure on them.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Jaguar's trailing the Dogs right now. Seven nothing.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
Get our front going now, Devin Dixon and court Ingram
the two corners.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
Is Carson back in their coach or Leland ball looking forward,
I'll find you.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
So here's the quarterback. He's hemmed up in the backfield
on the snaw. I'm gonna go down for a big
time loss on the play. Tons of dogs flying around
there on the play. I saw Kad and Harris in
there on the stop, so this is gonna be a
second and a mile just kind of lightfoot also in
there on that stop for the Dogs.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
I think Carson's back in there. Van number five it
over here up at the front. It's strong safety, yes, sir, Yeah,
that's him.

Speaker 5 (35:31):
He's back in. He said something about his hand a
few minutes.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Yeah, he didn't come out early.

Speaker 5 (35:35):
Okay, good. Here we go third down.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
So here's a third down of swing passed over on
the far side and I think he lost the football
and they're gonna say he had possession of it, and
the Bulldogs have it. Big time turnover there, boy, that
was a fumble on the far side of the field.
Marlow Harris grabbed the swing pass and when he turned
it up field, he got popped and lost the football.
And that was Caden Garrison there on the stopover and

(36:02):
a big time turnover there. And the Bulldogs have the
football right at the Jag twelve yard line, first and ten.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Big play, big play, big play. Jordan Waits in there
this time of tailbat.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Four point thirty seven left here in this first quarter
of play, Dogs leading seven to nothing and Opolanka's got
the football of the twelve yard line of Jags. Thank
you back in their quarterback. Jordan Waits is the tailback
for the Bulldogs. Blake Johnson big full back. We'll move
over down to the right side or to the left side.

(36:49):
Sank you out of the shotgun. It's the snap and
we have whistles stomping. Play here as long as we're
going to the air for benn at Young in the
end zone. But a timeout and that was taken by Opalaika,
So time out look like a quarterback change potentially coming here.

(37:09):
We may see Kobe Key checking the ball game. We'll
see quick time out on the field. Dog's up seven nothing,
You're back after this here on the kicker back here
Bulldog Stadium. Out of the time out, it will be
kolbe Key checking in the ball game. Now four of
the Bulldogs in at quarterback. Two wide receivers to the

(37:32):
right side of the field is Jalen Washington and Bennett
Young and Jordan Waits is the tailback here for the Dogs.
From the twelve yard line first and ten play, lost
the football on the snap, got away and thankfully Jordan
Waits was able to cover that one up. But that's
going to be a big loss plus to six maybe
seven yards on the loss there. Coach McCracken is Kobe

(37:56):
Key's number nineteen. He's number five now fight he's been
five ever since the first game of the season. He
was number two to start the season. He actually had
more than nineteen all year, but that was his number
in spring.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
Bru Sell and I have to have a talk.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
There's Waights waits down close to the sixteen yard line.
There's been quite a quite a crazy deal going on
with the number situation.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
I didn't realize that because he was nineteen in the
Aubard game. Anyway, we'll get that fixed. I'll get it fixed,
all right. Here we go third down and about thirteen.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Yeah, a third and fourteen here for the Bulldogs certainly
want to convert it. Maybe four down territory. Here, we'll
see how empty the backfield. Key drops back steps and
throws towards the end zone and getting turned around was
been at young. He wanted a flag, but no flag
there and that pass just got away and was too

(38:54):
far wide to the right. So we'll see if the
Bulldogs go for a field goal. They are going to
bring on Reese Beasley to try to attempt a field
goal here.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
I think Reese could knock this through. Got a bad
start on that bad snap.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
See the line of scrimmage here is going to be
the sixteen yard line from the right pass and he
knocks it through so that'll be a thirty three yard
field goal up and good for Reese Beasley that score
and drive power by Open Lack of Power Services hometown
people working for you online at opal lakapower dot com.

(39:36):
We're back after this time out here on the kicker hell,
the Bulldogs offence had to settle for a thirty three
yard field goal off the foot of Reese Beasley gets
it up in good though tend to nothing lead. Here's
a kick that will be returnable to one yard line
here by jag. They're dangerous in this department. They get
the sideline and I pushed out of mounds around the

(39:57):
twenty five yard line. It was Eric Watson on the return.
They're forced out of bounds and they'll mark him at
the twenty four yard line. So coach, good to see.
You always want to get some field goal works in
and reps and Reese Beasley has had a couple of
good kicks there. That one didn't quite get in the
end zone, but right down at the one.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
That's okay. They're starting from the twenty four. That's a
lot better what we had last week.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yeah, score up date from down to the wiregrass Auburn
leading enterprise six to nothing as they play late in
the first quarter. There here it's ten to nothing. Opelaika
over jag and the Jaguars back with the football. They'll
have it from their all twenty four yard line. And
here is a speed sweep play going to the wide
receiver Elbrd. He's wrapped up in the backfield. A nice

(40:40):
job there, Mary smiling in on the stop for the
Bulldogs and a boy, it was a big time loss.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
That's a big play. That's a seven yard loss. Man,
good gracious grace.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
So it'll be a second down and long now.

Speaker 5 (40:57):
Lot better lot, better.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
Six yard loss. It'll be second down in sixteen ball
spotted back at the eighteen yard line. Second in long
play here for the Jaguars. Harris out of the shotgun.
He'll bring a man in motion again. Harris drops straight back,
trying to set up a screen high pass, dangerous passing.
It has popped and hit. A flag comes down and

(41:23):
that was a big time hit by Alan Jackson, the linebacker.
And we'll wait and see what the flag was.

Speaker 5 (41:31):
They don't have targeting in high school, do they?

Speaker 2 (41:34):
They do, but I don't think that's going to be
I think it may be a hold against against the Jaguars.
We'll wait for the white hat to I don't know,
bring us the signal here. He's communicating right now with

(41:54):
his crew and it's a a loss of down.

Speaker 5 (42:06):
What was the penalty?

Speaker 2 (42:07):
I'm not sure what that is, but it was a
ten yarder?

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Right?

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Yeah? Mac? Did you get any explanation down there?

Speaker 10 (42:16):
Illegal touchy?

Speaker 2 (42:18):
Okay? All right, so somebody got the football one's supposed to. Okay, Mac.
Thank Terry Rosenthal from The Word's Peede Clintic for that explanation. Okay.

Speaker 7 (42:27):
I was like, what was that?

Speaker 10 (42:27):
When he was like legal touches?

Speaker 7 (42:29):
I'm in.

Speaker 13 (42:29):
By the way, Terry Roseenhal also said that Van, you
are absolutely wrong.

Speaker 10 (42:35):
Kobe Key was not five all year long.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
He wasn't He was two the first week.

Speaker 5 (42:39):
I know, it's nineteen last week.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Now, that's what your dad's all confused. Third and long
here for jag They'll throw one out trying to set
up a wide receiver screen. He slipped the tackle and
got up to the twenty yard live it's still going
to be well short of the first down. Yeah, Kobe, Actually, coach,
he was to the first week, five last the last
two weeks, so he was number nineteen. He was they
was number nineteen. And the reason is they did not

(43:04):
have a number two in red, so we had to
change his number the second week to number five.

Speaker 5 (43:11):
Can you wear Can two players wear the same.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Number as long as they're not on the same field
at the same time, all right? Usually have an offensive
defensive player.

Speaker 5 (43:19):
So okay, I got you.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
Fourth and fourteen, the Jaguars will have to punt from
their own twenty yard line.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Where we're playing good defense, fan.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Yeah, Jamari stands at around the forty five of jagged
hopefully get a good return. Here. Are gonna let this
one go. It's going to hit down at the forty
five yard line and roll down to the forty two
yard line and the Bulldogs will have it from there on.
Forty two up ten to nothing with one eighteen remaining
here in our opening quarter of play, and let's see
if the Bulldogs can get another quick score here coached

(43:49):
in this first quarter, Yes, sir, and we will see
Coby Key come back out on the field. So the
Bulldogs will start from their on forty two yard line,
trips receivers to the wide side of the field to

(44:12):
the left to Blake Johnson out there as a wide
out as well. Key out of the shotgun and we'll
hand the ball off to the back and that's Tommy
Johnson who gets the carry and he carries it up
to the forty four yard line. And that's a pickup
of just two good stop by when Darius Jenkins coming
in on the stop there for the Jaguars.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
Yeah, they had trips out there, and we ran over
there behind our right guard. It's Carmel Torbert Tonight, Keelan
Jones offside.

Speaker 2 (44:47):
Here's Key rolling to the left side. Pressured and sacked
back of the thirty two yard line. Key couldn't find
anybody opened down field. Crander McCall the linebacker comes in
and swallowed him up for a big time loss. All
the way they're gonna mark forward progress down to the
thirty three yard line.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Well, that's about a twelve yard loss hit if we
make it too Yeah, goodness.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Crazy, Yeah, about eleven yards on the lost there third
and twenty.

Speaker 5 (45:13):
They got get that out of his hands.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
So after that loss, back to the thirty three third
and twenty coming up here for the Bulldogs. Key drops
back again, wants to pass, sets up a screen, floats
it down to Calvin Hugly. Hugly gets the sidelines across
the forty and up to the around the forty five
yard line. Huglely just tripped up all most got the
first down. He was ai to pick back up twelve

(45:40):
yards and almost got the rest. That'll be the end
of the first quarter, so we head to the second
Quarter'll be a fourth down coming up for the Bulldogs.
You're listening for the Bulldog football. The Dog's leading jack
ten nothing as we head to the second quarter. Here
on the kicker.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Back here at Bulldog Statue, let's get a four season's
Federal Credit Union Sideline report with Mac McCracken.

Speaker 13 (47:03):
Yeah, guys, I tell you I've just spent a moment
right there with coach Jakin's officeive coordinator, and that a
little come to Jesus meeting right there with the whole offense,
the whole entire offense, and basically, you know, told them
to play for that jersey, that name on that jersey,
and you know, to get it going right because they're
not doing they're not doing very good right now.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
All right, here's Zion Henderson. First time he's had to
punt it away and puts a big, high, booming pun
in this one. It'll hit down at the twenty four
yard line and take a decent little lopal like a
roll down around the twenty one yard line. We do
have a score update on the Auburn Bank scoreboard. Auburn
leading Enterprise right now. Twelve nothing to mac McCracken, So
the Tigers are leading Enterprise down to the wiregrass. Your

(47:45):
thoughts on that twelve well, early, yeah, really it is early.
That is yeah, it's it's one of the big ones
in the region tonight. Also Central Phoenix City down. Take
it on Dothan and we'll hope to get a score
update on that that one here throughout our evening as well.
And Carver is in Smith's station tonight. Take it on

(48:06):
the Panthers here. It is open like a leading the
Jaguars of jag as we start the second quarter here
eleven fifty Jaguars with the football down for their on
twenty one yard line. Harris high Snap wants to throw
here near side and got it complete to his wide receiver,
but he's wrapped up and I stopped my Carson Moss
for the Bulldogs and he picked up nothing there no

(48:28):
gain on the play. So back to the line of
scrimmage of twenty one and it'll be second down and ten.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
Great job by our defense, really really good. They're playing
good so far. Van ain't got but.

Speaker 5 (48:41):
Let's see minus five yards rushing four carries. That's great.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Quarterback Harris out of the shine and gun. Another bad snap,
gives it to the wide receiver on the speed sweep
that was Caldwell, and he picks up three yards up
to the twenty five yard line. It'll be third down
again and pretty decent coming up here for Jack Kayden
Harris on the stop. It'll be third and seven, third
and six.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
Cage is a six foot to twenty junior first team
he's gotten the start. I know his mom and papa
are proud of him. Big play right here, Van, third
down conversion.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Yep, Third and six here for Jag from there on
twenty five yard line. Quarterback out of the shotgun, high snap,
got over his head. He's in trouble. Back of the eleven,
picks it up and wisely throws it away outside the
tackle box, and I think he's okay as far as
grounding goes. I coach Moore was wanting a grounding call,

(49:39):
but I think they're going to give him the benefit
of the down. Boy, I thought that was going to
be a disastrous play. It still was a fourth down
stop for the defense. Is the punting team comes in
here for for Jag and Jamari Miller's going to drift
back just across midfield around the forty five yard line.
Awaited this punt.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
Man as he moved Jamario a little bit at this
boy and kick it that far. The last two kicks,
he said to come up about ten yards. Let's see
if he moves him up a little bit or they
might try to block it.

Speaker 2 (50:11):
Yeah, they're coming after it here. He just got it
away and Jamari calls for a late fair catch and
Jag comes up with it at the thirty six yard line.
I don't think Jamari wanted to catch it, and then
he made a last second decision to try to grab it,
called a late fair catch, and it got away from
him and JAG's got it down at the opal like
a thirty six yard line. So a big turnover there

(50:32):
for the Bulldogs and Jag gets a big break here
on the road. Down ten to nothing here with ten
twenty seven remaining in our first half.

Speaker 5 (50:40):
Oh boy boy, oh boy boy.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
Yeah, that's a tough one.

Speaker 5 (50:45):
Work on that every day.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Ten twenty seven remaining and jag back with the football.
A little bit of fresh life for them. Line of
scrimmag will actually be the thirty nine of Opalaika.

Speaker 5 (51:05):
They're having trouble with that center snapping that ball.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
Yeah, I imagine Malik's on top of him.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
Yeah. I was wondering if they would go under center here,
but they have not. His still look here and that
one gets on the ground. The quarterback rolls and just
scrambles out of bounds. May have picked up a yard.
That snap was on the ground. He had to pick
it up. And boy I coach Roy Upchurch coaches the
jag Jaguars. That name is familiar to many in this
state as he played a running back for the University

(51:36):
of Alabama. Coach coaches an assistant, and I amg was
at Penson Valley a strength and conditioning coach from twenty
one to twenty two and then was the offensive coordinator
at Dora High School last season.

Speaker 5 (51:49):
See, they got my leak or lightfoot on that center.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
No gain on the play. It'll be second and ten
and the snamp got on the ground and the Bulldogs
had it. Opelika's got the football. There's a flag down.
I'm not sure what the flag was it a Was
it a snap in fraction or what?

Speaker 4 (52:12):
Well?

Speaker 2 (52:12):
I have to wait and see. I thought the ball
was on the ground. Opelik Ad got it to white
Head comes over and he's communicating with his crew here
and we have yet to get a signal. It's gonna
be a penalty against jag that's gonna be a false start.
I bet it was a snap. It looked like almost
like a snap in fraction, So I don't know it's

(52:33):
gonna be a five yard penalty. It'll back up the
Jaguars to their own or to the forty six of Opalaika.
The second down, second and fourteen, that looked like another
false start. Quarterback gets the snap and he's sacked by
a Mary Smiley back at the forty five yard line.
He's gonna lose a yard. It's gonna be third and long.
So the defense really hammering down now third and fifteen.

(52:57):
Good and boy Jack just can't get anything going on
with this center quarterback exchange here ten nothing, our score,
nine fifty three left in the second quarter. Fresh unit
on the defensive side coming in for Opalaika here on
this third down play.

Speaker 5 (53:13):
I don't even think at center.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
I tell you.

Speaker 5 (53:18):
You not having the best night. A big third death
conversion right here, Fane.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
That quarterback and center probably won't be sitting next to
each other on the bus on the ride home. Third
and sixteen here for the Jaguars. Look low. They got
a false start again. Yeah, the wide receivers took off early,
and another penalty flag comes in.

Speaker 5 (53:33):
You're exactly right, Van Riggs. That's a five yard penalty.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
Yeah, they took off very sloppy series here and as
a legal shift against jag As, those wide receivers took
off early. Nine to twenty eight left here in the
first half, and the ball back to midfield. Now at

(54:00):
the Opalaika thirty nine yard line, that's where they need
to get to the original line of scrimmage. They still
need the thirty or the twenty nine for a first down. Here,
third and long play, quarterback Pressure steps up, he'll take
off and run, tripped up and tackle down at the
forty eight yard line. He only picked up two yards
on the play. Carson Moss comes up with a stop.
Fourth down, and here comes the punting unit out for

(54:20):
the Jaguars.

Speaker 3 (54:25):
I thought our.

Speaker 5 (54:26):
Defensive end was offside. Sad it must not have been
pretty quick right there.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
We'll keep that our little secret. We got anybody deep? Yeah, ye,
Jamari's back at around the sixteen yard line. Quarterback Harris
does the punting duties as well. He stands at the
forty one, gets the snap and just puts a line
drive boot into this one. Jamari will catch this one
at the eighteen yard line and tries to bring it

(54:53):
up around the twenty five before he's tripped up there
by the Jaguars. So Bulldogs will have it first in
ten eight thirty one. After the turnover by Jamar, a
Bulldog defense comes out and answers the call there, and
now the offense back with it here led back out
on the field by Kobe Key, and Dogs will have
it from their own twenty five yard line. Tend to

(55:16):
nothing our score again here in the second quarter eight
thirty one here Bulldog Stadium, and it'll be the Bulldogs
going old school I formation here on this drive. Blake Johnson, Calvin, Hughlely.

Speaker 5 (55:27):
Yeah, I think you go see some running now.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Key under center here from his own twenty five yard
line to give will be to Calvin hugely left signe
not much there up to the twenty six a one
yard pickup. Linebacker McCall in there on the stop. Eight sixteen.
Cloine continuing to run. Got to open it up a

(55:56):
little bit, Van, they'll give the guard play. We gotta
get this ball down the field now two yards up
to the twenty seven out of the shotgun. The handoff
goes to Calvin. Calvin again tripped up right there near
the line of scrimmage. I don't think he got a
yard he did. Gonna be third down, Eric Watson the
linebacker on the stop, So it's gonna be third down

(56:16):
and eight coming up here for the Bulldog offense only
leading ten to nothing right now seven forty three here
in the second quarter, you forc him to throw third
Nate Dogs line up I formation again here one wide
out far side of the field. It's Jalen Washington and
here's Key drops back Survey in the field. Throws short

(56:39):
caught by Blake Johnson. There's a flag down. Gonna be
a hold on the Bulldogs in the backfield and that
will negate the first down grab by Blake Johnson, which
was a really good catch. I think they got Calvin
actually holding in the backfield. There maybe wasn't on the
offensive line. I think that was on the extra pressure

(57:01):
coming that Calvin was trying to pick up. He's really
frustrated with himself.

Speaker 8 (57:04):
And.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
That's gonna be a big ten yard penalty. It's gonna
be third and a long third down coming up here.

Speaker 5 (57:13):
That's a good throw by Colby. I go back to
that had the first down made.

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Back to the seventeen yard line now to be third
and twenty.

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Said, we can't. We can't do this again. Can't do
this against good football teams.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Wide out either side. Here on third and eighteen, as
I'll call it play action, Key drops back, throws one
deep downfield for Miller.

Speaker 5 (57:36):
He's got it.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
At the forty five, Miller is gone twenty ten. See you,
Jamari Miller touchdown.

Speaker 5 (57:44):
Wanted to go.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Deep, Coach McCracken. Bulldogs went deep. Eighty three yard touchdown.
Throwing catch from Colby Key to Jamari Miller as he
hooked up with him in stride for six.

Speaker 5 (57:58):
Boy.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
That's good to see, coach. That was a beautiful pass
up to Jamari Miller, and there was no chance. Once
Jack let him get behind the defense, he was gone.

Speaker 5 (58:11):
How many times you gonna convert thir twenty ah late.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
Great job, Wow, eighty three yard that's Jamari's fourth touchdown
of the season. And here's the point after attempt coming
from Rhys Beasley. That's five big plays with six point
fifty two remaining here in the second quarter, Rody Jones
to hold Rayley snap good, The hold good and the

(58:38):
extra point up and good. Heck of an open like
a power service of score and drive Dogs with her
back against the wall on third down, an eighty three
yard throwing catch from Key to Miller. Dogs lead at
seventeen to nothing. You're listening to bulldog football right here
on the kicker.

Speaker 15 (58:52):
Glynn Smith and Opal like A is happy to be
a sponsor of high school football. We believe that high
school athletics field's character among young people, and we're honored
to lend our support. This is a great area to live, play, work, worship,

Chevrolet and GMC dealer for East Alabama and West Georgia.

(59:14):
Online twenty four to seven at Glennsmith dot com. Glenn Smith, Chevrolet, GMC.
Get ready to smile.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
Big time throw, big time catch There Kobe Key hooks
up with Jamari Miller for an eighty three yard touchdown
strike and the Dogs act sten their lead here seventeen
nothing was six point fifty two remaining here in this
second quarter at Mack mccracking down on the field.

Speaker 13 (59:45):
I know Max gritting from here to ear after that one. Yeah, man,
you know we needed that one right there. You know,
we dad talked about the big plays last year. I think,
I mean this the last week about three or four
of them. But that one right there was a big
play that could actually spark and wake up this offense
from a lot, a lot of mis use, a lot
of frustration down here by coach Moore and as well
as the uh you know, the offensive staff defensively still

(01:00:07):
got to shut out. They rose to the occasion, or
as one of the assistant coaches says, they put out that.

Speaker 10 (01:00:12):
Fire, you know, so they get it a fire. So
they're doing they're doing their job offensively.

Speaker 13 (01:00:16):
You know, a big play can spark a lot of
things and the momentum can keep rolling here.

Speaker 10 (01:00:20):
But let's say if we can get another one here
before half.

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
An All right, thank you, mag We're coming to you
for North Peed at Clintic Broadcast Booth East Telabama's go
to center for orthopedic care, Terry Rosenthal and the tire staff.
They're do a fantastic job. Terry actually an honorary captain
tonight and well deserved. They do a lot of great
work here for not only Opalalaka High School, but all
the other area high schools around the area, keeping everybody

(01:00:43):
healthy and getting folks back to playing shake where they're injured.

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Yeah, Terry Rosenthal takes care of me when I'm not
doing well.

Speaker 5 (01:00:50):
I'll call him and you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Keep him busy, don't you, Yes, sir. East Alabama's go
to center for orthopedic care two locations, Lakeside Circle in
albert and Medical Art Center in opal Like at online
at the ortho Clinic dot com. Good kick by Rhys
Beasley will be returnable though, run across the ten trying
to make a return of the fifteen and stop short

(01:01:12):
of the twenty yard line. So that's a win there
for the kickoff team. Good job Kaden Harris down there
and also look like.

Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
That's good eighteen twenty five yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Vin Swank down there on the stop.

Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
Also good job, Hey, these guys are minus five yards
rushing in the first half.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
Jacody Jackson down there also on the stop.

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
And they are three of four throwing the ball and
one of three third down conversions.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
All right, Jackals starting for their all nineteen. They trailed
the dogs here seventeen nothing was six forty three remaining
here in this second quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
We got Brayden Stenson, Moony Thomas, Josh Davis, and Jordan
Stenson in there too.

Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
All right, here's a hand off to the tailbag left side.
He's got the sidelines across the thirty. Boy, he nearly
broke that one. He's got a first down run. That is,
I believe a flag on the play or no, no
stopagen play. I thought for a moment there the judge
came in and blew his whistle. But it was a
first down run up to the twenty eight to the

(01:02:16):
twenty nine. Well, it was right out of ten yard pickup,
so enough for the first down.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
That's their first first down.

Speaker 15 (01:02:23):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
Now that's our second unit in there right there on
defensive defensive live.

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
So the Jaguars have it first and ten from their
own twenty nine. A flag comes in another movement. It
looks like against the Jaguars.

Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
Ave your penty good.

Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
That's thirty thirty yards in penalties against the Jags.

Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
We were kind of wondering, coach, when they were going
to roll in here. They got here right about six o'clock.
I mean it was closed, it was pushed it, and
they got off the bus and they were to play.
They had their game pants on and they were sitting
ready and not much warming up. They rolled right out
in here and we're ready to go.

Speaker 3 (01:03:07):
Ty Hudson and Kayden Harris are back in there at linebackers.
We got our number two unit.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
Up front back to the twenty four first and fifteen
quarterback drops back, he wants to take a bomb shot
and well overthrew his intended wide receiver, which was Ty
Anthony Elmore. Court Ingram was on the coverage. He was
closer to intercepting it than they were to completing it.
Second down and fifteen coming up for the Jaguars, five

(01:03:33):
fifty one remaining here in the second quarter, Dogs leading seventeen.
Nothing All right, here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
They hadn't had a big play yet, and this is
third down. It's not second down, it's third down.

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Still hadn't seen them, Still hadn't seen the statue of
liberty yet, Coach, I'm waiting for him to pull that
one off.

Speaker 5 (01:03:50):
This is not second down, is it?

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
It is after the penalty to replay the dawn right? Okay,
second and fifteen. There's another whistle.

Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
That's against the wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
That's going to be another movement penalty Enterprise on the
board down in the wiregrass. Auburn added a field goal.
So it's fifteen seven now Auburn leading Enterprise as they
play seven forty one left of the second quarter, Central

(01:04:24):
leading Dothan fourteen to seven. That game is in Dothan two.
Who's beaten Dothing Central? So another five yard penalty back
inside the twenty now down to the eighteen yard line
or nineteen a ton here, second and twenty coming up
here for the Jaguars. Shotgun formation for Harris to quarterback.

(01:04:50):
He's got two receivers to the right side. Harris rolls
to the left. Now will quarterback keep it? And he
was met and he was hit big time. There was
nice stop by lake Drick Burts six foot two ten. Yeah.
Lake Drick Burts comes in there, a junior linebacker and
he made a nice hit.

Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
Yeah, this is his first chance to place. This guy
is the one taking Tyler Moore's place.

Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
So good to see Burt sit there on the big
stop third down and twenty no gain on the play.

Speaker 5 (01:05:26):
They are one of three on third down conversions.

Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
Jag again from their own nineteen trips receivers to the
right side. Harris out of the shotgun, gets a good
clean snap, drops back, throws here near side, in and
out of the hands of the intended wide receiver. Dedrian
McElroy was the intended man. Alan Jackson. Pressure in that
quarterback too, and it's going to be fourth down five

(01:05:50):
h four left Bulldogs offense again looking to get really
good feel position as Jamari Miller stands on his side
of the fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
That's good Joe by that number two defense.

Speaker 6 (01:06:03):
I know what.

Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Eric call and Kenny Prescott be proud of them on
that one. They did a good job.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
Jamari now right at the fifty yard line awaiting this
punt here and Harris gets the snap and boots an
end over end kick. Jamari drifts back makes a fair catch.
I didn't see him fair catching, but he did.

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
Know that he made it.

Speaker 5 (01:06:24):
I don't know why he made one. He could have
run that.

Speaker 3 (01:06:27):
He's probably, you know, a little weary right now with
him dropping them that other.

Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
One, they're gonna mark him down at the forty two
yard line, so that's where the Bulldogs will start first
in ten from their on forty two yard line. Dogs
lead at seventeen to nothing over the Jaguars. Tough stretch
here for the jag They're at Opalaikah this week at
Auburn next week.

Speaker 5 (01:06:50):
We need to get another score here for the half.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Opelikah again next week Homecoming hosted Smith's Station here at
Bulldog Stadium. First and ten play Key throws here near sign.
Bennett Young's got it, turning it up field across the fifty.
Bennett stays up on his feet somehow, he's still breaking
tackles inside the forty. Bennett carrying the pile down around
the thirty one yard line. What a run after the

(01:07:14):
grab there by Bennett Young as he's all the way
down to the thirty one yard line. That's close to
twenty seven yards and a Lambert transfer in storage first down.

Speaker 5 (01:07:24):
Great job. That's another big that's six big plays in
this half.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Bennett just now getting I think back to one hundred percent.
He actually dropped a barbell on his foot, Coach, and
he had been really nursing a big bruised foot. And
you know that Hurd, I think it was like a
forty five pound weight. Coach, he landed right on his foot.

Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
Yeah, that.

Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Was smart. Yeah, you would say, all right, seventeen ohn
time out on the field. Bulldog's leading with four twenty
seven left in the second quarter. We're back after this
time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here on the
kicker back here at Bulldogs Stadium, four twenty seven left

(01:08:12):
in the second quarter, first in ten and coming up
for the Bulldogs out of the heat time out after
a good reception there by Bennett Young and at the
thirty one yard line, here is a throw that Miller
Miller wants to throw and it's gone by Washington into
the in song touchdown. Wow, it was a speed suite.

(01:08:33):
Looked like it was gonna be the Jamari Miller. Jamari
threw for it and he hooked right up with Jalen
Washington for the touchdown twenty three. Nothing. Little trickeration there
from coach Brian Muir. Nice call, what ain'ton great throw
and what a nice snag The heredy yards was saying
the endzo that was a thirty one yard pass thereby

(01:08:53):
Jamari Miller as he hooked up with Jalen Washington. That
was Jayalen's second touchdown of the season. The first one
was the big one there in that Benjamin Russell game. Coach,
that really single that one for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 5 (01:09:05):
That, sir, that's great.

Speaker 7 (01:09:07):
Drive.

Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Got a big trick play out of that one. That's
first trick play we've seen all year.

Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
I think that's Jamari probably his first career touchdown pass too.
It looked pretty good, coach. He threw it off his
back and stride. Here's the extra point up and good bye,
Rhys Beasley. A heck of an open like a Power
Services score and drive open like a Power Services hometown.
People working for you. Jamari Miller to Jalen Washington for
the touchdown. Twenty four nothing, four eighteen to go. Here

(01:09:35):
in the first quarter. You're listening to Bulldog football here
on the Kicker an iHeart Country station back here at
Bulldogs Stadium. Boy, some tricker ration there for the Bulldogs.
A little toss play to Jamari Miller going in motion.
Miller throwing to Jaylen Washington for a thirty one yard touchdown,

(01:09:58):
and the Bulldogs have extended their lead twenty four to
nothing over the jag Jaguars before eighteen remaining here in
this second quarter, and now we see Reyes Beasley take
a few steps back in a little pooch punt or
pooch kick rather here near side, called it the twenty
five and hit right there the thirty yard line, a
big time knock oil. Who was that on the style?

(01:10:21):
That was Noah our Jalen Nelson special teams.

Speaker 5 (01:10:25):
Hey, that's that's my running back. Yes, great running back.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
He's gonna be a hey Brian Moore said, he is
gonna be one heck of a player.

Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
Herefore, yes, Jalen with a hello, mister, hit there, big
time knock right at the thirty yard line. So the
Jaguars will starting from their own a thirty yard line.
And it was a ninety nine yard kickoff return by
Auburn that, or should say, by enterprise, that is the
only offense for the Wildcats down in the wiregrass. Auburn

(01:10:53):
dominating it so far, twenty two to seven.

Speaker 7 (01:10:56):
The score.

Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
Now Auburn scoring again the Wildcats.

Speaker 3 (01:11:01):
All right, let's get this see we got our starters
back in there now on defense, got our big.

Speaker 5 (01:11:06):
Boys back in there.

Speaker 2 (01:11:09):
So Here is a hand off to the tailback. He
slipped through the initial line of scrimmage and he's got
a first down and more at the forty five big
time run thereby Donovan Caldwell. He carries it all the
way up to the forty eight yard line. That's an
eighteen yard pickup, longest gain of the night, that is
for jd or first should say for JAG.

Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
That's their second first down in their first big play
at the night.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
Devin Dixon finally brings down the running back, Donovan Caldwell.
And I'm guessing, Coach, this is the same number two
they had last year. And remember how speedy shifty he was.
If he's not, he's got a good number because that
number two last year got our really tips back in
the Whoa. Here is a quarterback keeper running it left side.

(01:11:53):
Quarterback breaks the tackle, stays on his feet up close
to another first down. As he carries it down close
to the forty three yard line. He's got nine yards,
gonna be second down, and one Ty Hudson linebacker comes
up and makes the stop, but not before the quarterback
Jamichael Harris gets nine yards and another first down close

(01:12:16):
to it, almost second and one.

Speaker 5 (01:12:18):
Our end over on the other side, lost contained.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
Three twenty five clock running here, late second quarter, Dogs
lead at twenty four to nothing. Quarterback gets it, hands
the ball off to Caldwell again, breaks the tackle of
the backfield still on his feet, Ty Hudson brings him
down right near the first down marker. Not much on
the play there. Hudson did a really good job chasing
him down. I think he's going to be right at

(01:12:44):
the first down marker. Been on the spot here.

Speaker 7 (01:12:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:12:49):
I think it's third down.

Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
It's third and one, so it's third and very short.
You could almost bet its four down territory for the
Jaguars too. Two forty five and the clock running here
in the second quarter.

Speaker 5 (01:13:10):
They what they are, They're wrecking up that center. He
don't want to snap that ball.

Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Harris gets the snaw. They want to throw forth throwing
deep down field and it is batted away. Nice play
there by the Bulldogs. Devin Dixon defending number sixteen Lake
and Anderson, and that was a really good job just
knocking that one away because he had the wide receiver
had the position on Dixon. But he did a great

(01:13:37):
job defending that one.

Speaker 5 (01:13:39):
And they're gonna try to get this first down.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Well, the quarterbacks coming out of the game, so maybe
a wildcat look here coming from jag. It's fourth and
one at the forty three yard line, so this will
be a wildcat formation coming up here for are kind
of a heavy set pack could cheer ty Anthony Elmore

(01:14:04):
has three blockers around him and Jack gonna have to
burn a time out. Roy up Church, the coach over there,
is not happy at all he had to burn a
time out. We had down the field our four seasons,
Federal credit n the sideline report and uh mac boy,
big offensive play there for the Dogs and and right
now though Jangle little something going offensively.

Speaker 13 (01:14:26):
Yeah, they got a good runner right there. I was
talking to Calvin Hughley just a minute and he said,
he said, coach, that's a that was a pretty good
little design play that they did right there. But you
know they got a first down out of it. Hey offensively,
Let's go back to that. So we made the big
play with with Kobe to Fat earlier on and then
we talked about it just being addictive and then growing

(01:14:46):
and growing, and then we make the uh the double
pass right there with uh with with fat, which I'm
gonna ask him if that's his first ever touchdown that
he's thrown. I'm sure he's done that in the Little
league or something like that, but I'm gonna sure, I'm
gonna find that one out.

Speaker 10 (01:14:59):
And hey, you know, we go down their score and you.

Speaker 13 (01:15:01):
Know, Dad, that was we started that drive with four
p fifty eight and that's your last five minutes of
the half and we scoring forty seconds, So you know,
great job by the offense.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
All right, fourth and inches again, it'll be Elmore coming
out running the wildcad. I might as well call it here.
He's got blockers to each side and a blocker behind
him and they jumped and that's going to be a
five yard penalty, and boy, that is going to really
drive that coaching staff nuts. On the fourth and one
now it's going to be fourth and six.

Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
That's forty yards and penalties on Jeff Davis five or
six off side six procedure penalties.

Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
It's cute.

Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
Fourth and six. Now we'll see looks like Jack will
bring in the regular offense now, but I've yet to
see the quarterback, or at least the to Michael Harris.

Speaker 5 (01:15:51):
Brighton Stenson's in the game. Now we got our two's in.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
The game now rushing, except uh, we got Malik and
Malik still in.

Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
The middle, all right, So it will be the quarterback
Jamichael Harris checking back in the ball game. Here to
be fourth and six. Harris drops back, pressured and brought down.
The ball comes out, Smiley stripped it and Smiley picks
it up. Smiley pulled him out. I think Altree may
have stripped it, but it was Omari Smiley coming up
with the football at the thirty five yard line. A

(01:16:20):
big time turnover there for the Dog defense. Yes, sir,
two sixteen left in the Bulldogs defense comes up with
the football and they're at the jag thirty five yard line.
That was a heck of a fourth down stop, coach, that's.

Speaker 5 (01:16:37):
Thirteen yard loss. Excuse me, a twenty three yard loss.

Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
And now Obelik has got it at the thirty five
a jag and they'll hurry out here. Jamari Miller will
rush off the field. Kobe Key out of the shotgun.
The tailback is Jordan Wait's note Tommy Johnson, they'll take
it to him. Throw back here to Bennet Young near side,
bitting inside the thirty Ben inside of the twenty minutes
down the sideline, knocked out of the five and down.
I think he may have knocked him at the three.

(01:17:04):
But a huge run by Bennett Young and that was
knocked out of bounds by Elmore. He saved the score.

Speaker 5 (01:17:13):
How many yards on that one?

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Van see where they mark him? They marked him out
at the four, So that was a thirty one yard
pickup there by Bennett Yng.

Speaker 5 (01:17:22):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:17:23):
Bennet's had a heck of a game.

Speaker 5 (01:17:24):
That's eight big plays farce.

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
I formation here for the Dogs key under center at
the four. Quick hand off to the big fellow Johnson.
Johnson pushing the pile. But nice job there of Jag
holding him up. May have picked up a yard I
think he did down to the three yard line. So
this will be second in goal from the three one

(01:17:50):
six remaining here at Bulldogs Stadium. Here in this first half,
Dogs lead at twenty four to nothing. Trying to add
to it.

Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
Old Johnson's to forty in there.

Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
Full back man, this is a this is a Johnson
and Johnson backfield.

Speaker 7 (01:18:03):
Right now.

Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
You've got Tommy Johnson the running back, Blake Johnson the
fullback under Cinner's key at the three yard line, gets
the snap, it'll be a toss plate to Tommy Johnson,
and he's hit at the two and Tommy stood up
right there. It's gonna be third and goal at the two.
Just picked up a yard. Jaguars defense trying to stand tall.

(01:18:28):
Dog's trying to go old school life formation, getting it
in here. These are some big guys up on that
defensive line. Coach McCracken's Sir Johnson. Johnson again, Blake and
I checked that Jordan Waits now dotting the eye. Waits
gets the handoffs say in the end zone for the
Bulldog touchdown. Waits do a nice job finding the hole.

(01:18:50):
He went right, cut back in left and gets in
the end zone for the touchdown. With just forty seven
seconds left here in this first half, Dog's thirty nothing
and a point after away from a thirty one nothing
halftime lead. Reece Beasley trots out, but there's an injured
player down on the field for the Jaguars at around

(01:19:12):
the nine yard line, so injury for the moment here.
As he gets up rather quickly, that's mik Ing Johnson,
one of the linebackers. And now we'll be helped off
the field just forty seven seconds remaining here in this
first half.

Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
Brian Moors have played some of those number two offensive linemen.
Now to Jeremy Dillard number sixty, Keelan Jones number sixty one,
a senior, Robert Woods junior.

Speaker 5 (01:19:43):
Sixty two, and Eric Mason a junior.

Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
That's good to play a lot of these people early
in the season, get them a lot of reps.

Speaker 2 (01:19:53):
So here's Reece Beasley for the point after attempt Rhys
Beasley A good snap and a good hold and the
kick us up and good open like a Power Services
score and drive friends at open, like a Power Services
online at open, like a power dot Com hometown people

(01:20:14):
working for you. Thirty one nothing our score. Bulldog's leading
the Jaguars. We're back after this time out. You're listening
to Bulldog football here on the kicker. Thirty one nothing,
Dogs lead it. Late first half. Here forty seven seconds
left coming to you for the RTHPEDA Clinic Broadcast booth.

(01:20:35):
That's East Alabama's go to center for orthopedic care online
at the Orthoclinic dot Com. Gotta tell a funny story
too about Calvin Hugly. My daughter Josie Coach was looking
through the program and she saw Calvin Hugly and she says,
is that Calvin from the Sports flex I said, well, yeah,
I guess so, because you Calvin's a camp counselor or
of the summer. So that's all she knows. She says,
was does he play football? And I said, well, yeah,

(01:20:56):
he's the running back for our team. Is any good?
And I said, well he's pretty good. You know, number
six and you can see him on Friday night?

Speaker 5 (01:21:02):
So who said that?

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
Josie Joe? Yeah, she was the only thing she knew
was Calvin from the sports Plague. So anyway, yeah, Calvin
from the Sports Plus having a pretty good night as always.
Here kick inside the five that was dropped by its
Jaguars picked up right across the ten and hit down
at the fifteen yard line. It coverage down for of
the Bulldogs, but almost a disastrous play there and a

(01:21:24):
hit there on the one of the bulldogs looks like, yeah,
I was a hit by number fifteen, A Kingston Young
I believe was the was the player? Is that fifteen
for Opolanka?

Speaker 5 (01:21:39):
It's like fifteen he's getting.

Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
Up that's Vin Swank and he's okay. I think he
just took a shot there on the kickoff, so good
to see. Then he popped up and now it comes
off the field on his own power. Here just forty
one seconds left for jag and boy, if your coach
up Church, you boy don't want to make a huge
mistake here. Already a couple turnovers and just on that

(01:22:04):
last offensive series you saw Mary Smiley come in and
snatch the quarterback down and forced to fumble.

Speaker 5 (01:22:11):
Right, we got our We got those number twos in
there again.

Speaker 2 (01:22:15):
So the Jaguars will have it from their own sixteen
yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Stenson, Thomas, Davis and Stenson, the two Stinson's in there
at the defensive ends.

Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
There's shotguns down. They'll go to the tailback and he
has hit right at the line of scrimmage. That was
a good stop by the Bulldogs. Josh Davis comes in there,
the junior number ninety three makes a nice stop.

Speaker 3 (01:22:38):
Hey, Van, you know Jordan Stenson's daddy is Brian Stinson,
who's on my first team in ninety five, played cornerback
and was a great football player.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
There is a time out on the field, thirty four
seconds remaining. Here Auburn has punched it in again. Coach
and they got a point after up about to be
a twenty nine to fifteen lead with thirty six seconds
left there down in the wiregrass. And boy, that's one
of our favorite trips, is it, not, Coach going to Enterprise?
I know you really love that. Heading all the way

(01:23:12):
down to Enterprise. We had to head down a Doathan coaching.
The one thing this year about heading down to Doathan.
You know what we get to do. We get to
stop at at our favorite restaurant in Dothan Hunt, so
we can at least we'll have a good meal. I'm
sure Doathan will have those good officials lined.

Speaker 7 (01:23:25):
Up for us.

Speaker 3 (01:23:26):
And I was just fixed to say, you think you
could get us those officials again.

Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
I wish we could bring the big East crew with us.
We might, we might not. We might not be able
to make that happen. I don't know. We'll see.

Speaker 6 (01:23:37):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
I remember that Central's in a dog fight last week.
Saw it was a touchdown game there, twenty one to fourteen.
So I was Central up by a touchdown there thirty
one nothing here out of the time out second and ten,
here's a double reverse and it was fumbled by the
Jaguars at the ten yard line, but Marlow Harris picked
it up and he's able to get back to the

(01:23:58):
line of scrimmage before ty Hudson's there to bring him down.
It'll be third and ten and another time out taken
by the Bulldogs with twenty two seconds left. Opallanka trying
to get the football back here where they thirty one
nothing lead. Matt m kracking's standing by a four seasons
Federal Credit Union sideline report. Mac maybe trying to get

(01:24:18):
another little score here.

Speaker 13 (01:24:19):
Yeah, Coach Moore's he's about calling those timeouts.

Speaker 10 (01:24:23):
He wants one more shot at it, and you know
with twenty two you know it's it's doable.

Speaker 13 (01:24:28):
But hey, look credit credit the offense to get and going.
Uh defense is shut out, which I know coach Massy's
loving and of course, uh every coach and every fan
loves loves a good shutout going.

Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
On right now.

Speaker 13 (01:24:40):
But you know they're they're starting to play with a
lot more emotion now. And you know they they after
that first drive to begin the game that you know,
the frustration set up a little bit, a lot of flat,
a lot of mistakes, but you know they they came
to turn it around.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Here makes a big play, So you know, prod of
them with that? All right, ain't here and we'll see
what the Jaguars do. And hey, with all the fumbles,
I would I would make him snap it as much
as they could coach, right, I mean they may they
may put this thing in the end zone on a
snap over the head of the quarterback. You never know.
Third out of ten for their own sixteen yard line,

(01:25:17):
Jaguars again, bring a man in motion, high snap. Got
it down though, and they'll hand it to the running
back and nice shifty legwork here, and he's going to
turn it back and breaking a tackle and he's off
down the sidelines down the forty five across midfield in
a foot racing just tripped up. Boy, that was a touchdown,
Simon stump by Kiev and King. How many yards was

(01:25:38):
that man he got down to the Let's see where
they mark him down. They marked him down to the
thirty four yard line. So that's a fifty yard pickup
fifty yards.

Speaker 5 (01:25:51):
Wow, Well, we got the starters back in there.

Speaker 8 (01:25:55):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
You have just seven seconds though, remaining on the clock here.

Speaker 5 (01:25:58):
Yeah, they gonna have about to have to one right here.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
As jag has it down to the thirty four yard
line and the game clock started back. They don't know
it down to one and that's it. They didn't get
the playoff, but tipped it almost intercepted by the Bulldogs.
Tyrese Pitts almost picked it off. It's incomplete and that'll

(01:26:22):
be the end of the first half. Thirty one to
nothing our score here at the end of the first half,
and Oplaika takes a big lead into the locker room,
checking us score down to the wiregrass. Jason Lee's gonna
have plenty of scores to get to here momentary. Lee
will also have the spirit of the South marching band
performance here in just a bit, I know the jag

(01:26:42):
Marching band getting ready to perform first up here, so
we come back. Jason Lee will have some of our
first half statistics right now though, looking at Auburn leading
twenty nine to fifteen down in the wiregrass with just
twenty seconds left down in that one here, it's thirty
one nothing Bulldogs leading the Jaguars. We're back after this
halftime out. You're listening to Bulldog football here on the

(01:27:02):
Kicker Final a couple of minutes here of the half,
thirty one nothing our halftime Scotch Opelikah leading the jag
Jaguars in Opelaikah. We'll get the football to start the

(01:27:23):
second half, so we'll have an opportunity to see Opelika
come out and doth it in Central right now, Central
leading twenty to fourteen, and let's sit down there we
get a chance to catch up with coach Brian Moore.
My apologies to the coach there, Mac, I let him
know that you apologize for that. I might go first.

Speaker 13 (01:27:40):
Ever, Hey, coach war you know we talked to the
halftime a little flat there in the in the first
half and then a couple of sparks at the end
there and your defense is still throw that shut out?

Speaker 10 (01:27:49):
Would you address to the team?

Speaker 5 (01:27:51):
Yeah, I mean we were flat. We're not an extremely
mature team yet. We're working on it.

Speaker 6 (01:27:55):
But you know, these games are tough to get kids
up for, you know, especially after last week, and we
just were a little flast especially offensively. We were not
clean up front at all. We haven't run the ball
very well at all tonight had to kind of throw
it over their heads.

Speaker 10 (01:28:07):
So you know, we worked on that this and you
know at halftime and we got to.

Speaker 13 (01:28:10):
Clean it up coming out, all right, coach, let's go
get them a second half.

Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
Thanks man, all right, thanks so much. Mac good to
talk to coach coach Boar there coming out of the half.
Thirty one nothing again our halftime score, and we'll get
ready for the second half coming up. Coach. I know
you're leading thirty one nothing right now. I know you
want to go put this one to bed early to
start the second half, and you know, really put this
game away.

Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Yes, our first five minutes in this half, we need
to have our big boys in there and put it
on them. We get in the football and let's take
it back there and drive it out there and make
it thirty eight and we'll get some of these young
people a chance to play. I still just think that
we've got a very very good football team here, fan,

(01:28:54):
and we're just gonna get better and better.

Speaker 2 (01:28:56):
Well, you see this Auburn team that Opalaika played last week,
and Auburn, you know, twenty nine to fifteen. They're leading
Enterprise right now at the half. So that you don't
go down there and play a then blackman team that
good in a half of football and be a bad team.
That was a really good Auburn team hopeful I could
played last week and went toe to toe with them,
felt like they had a chance to win that thing

(01:29:17):
at the end. I believe Coach, if those two teams
played again, a different result could easily happen. I think
opal like is just as good or better than that
Auburn team we played last week.

Speaker 5 (01:29:25):
I think our quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
Will be more seasoned by then, and hopefully, thankfully he
doesn't get hurt. But we could we just like Brian said,
we can meet them when the weather gets a little
colder and played them again, because, like I said, this
is a very very good football team. I love to
watch these guys play defensively and offensively. We've got some

(01:29:48):
real good strong suits, and we're able to run the ball.
I think on anybody in Alabama. The spring game against
Clay Chalkfork, and then we did it last week against Auburn.

Speaker 5 (01:30:01):
You rushed for one hundred and eighty five yards all.

Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
Right, thirty one nothing our score dogs. We'll get the
football to start the second half. Man Opleke will be
receiving to our right. Jamari Miller Jalen Washington. Washington already
with a touchdown thanks to a pass from Jamari Miller
of all people on a nice little trick play. Washington's
first touchdown of the season. Brody, I've been at Young
I should say, with two really good grabs there in

(01:30:24):
the first half. Been it nearly happy for Benning?

Speaker 3 (01:30:27):
Yeah, because he dropped a couple into the first game
or two and came back and really poor what are
sensational run, Yet.

Speaker 2 (01:30:34):
He almost scored. I was talking to his dad out
outside the press box at halftime, and he was really excited,
and I know the Young family certainly excited about that one. Yes, sir,
so here is Jag. They'll kick it off from left
to right to start the second half, and we'll see

(01:30:55):
they kick a short kick, but we'll be returnable. Jalen
Washington catches at the twenty two. Jalen's got speed too,
across the thirty five, Dalen across the forty five, Jalen
across midfield and Jalen knocked out of mounads and around
the Jag forty five yards. Like a great return by
the sophomore. Jalen Washington on a good return.

Speaker 5 (01:31:12):
Absolutely, that's about a forty yard return, is it not.

Speaker 2 (01:31:15):
Yeah, he caught that thing I think in stride at
the twenty two and they'll market right at the forty five,
So thirty.

Speaker 5 (01:31:23):
Three yard return three yards. That's good.

Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
At the forty five of jag first and ten, Kobe
Key comes out starting at quarterback. Here eleven fifty two,
we're just underway. Colby changing his play, Calvin Hugley the

(01:31:50):
tail by a little miscommunication. It looks like, yeah, hurry up,
lakelock down to one and Opelika not going to get
the snap off, and to let him get the snap off,
it goes to Jamari Miller on a speed sweep knocked
out of mounds at around the forty one yard line.

Speaker 8 (01:32:05):
Not a.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
A very clean play down to the forty one. A
goodness four yard pickup those second and six, but really
a lot of miscommunication there. And we'll see CJ. Sank
check in the ball game.

Speaker 5 (01:32:26):
Yeah, a little speech sweep. It's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
So Sanky now in at quarterback. Here's second down and
six for the Bulldogs. Calvin Hugly the tail back to
the left of Sanki. They'll hand it to Calvin. Calvin
inside the thirty five. Calvin's got the first down, spins
his way ahead to the thirty yard line for eleven yards.
On the ground there by Calvin Hugley Anthony Smith for

(01:32:50):
jag on the stop. They'll mark him just shy of
the thirty yard line down to the thirty one. So again,
thank you. Out of the shotgun here, Calvin remains to
the left. First and ten Bulldogs handoff goes to Calvin.
Calvin slips through a tackle inside the twenty five Calvin

(01:33:11):
he go to be marked down close to the twenty
three yard line, eight yards there by Calvin Hugly.

Speaker 3 (01:33:17):
Boy, I tell you, you know, Ben Landers is talking
to us about that about our running backs.

Speaker 5 (01:33:22):
You know, he hasn't put the ball in their right hand.
He doesn't let them switch over.

Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
He likes to keep it in the same hand, even
though you know when you in the sidelines you get
caught sometime.

Speaker 5 (01:33:34):
I'll tell you to get in a minute.

Speaker 2 (01:33:35):
Yeah, nine yard pickup. They're actually second and one. Calvin
gets the handoff again. He's got the first down and
just tripped up across the twenty down to the nineteen
yard line for a gain of three enough for a
Lambert transfer and storage first down for the big fellow.
Calvin Hugley.

Speaker 3 (01:33:50):
He said, he just said that he didn't he didn't
have to go through all that practice and get him
to change hands. So they just keep it in the
right hand the whole time. And we hadn't had But
what if we had a turnover with a running back
this year? I don't think we have a.

Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
I don't think so. Thank you'll have an empty backfield now,
five wide receivers here on first and ten for the nineteen.
CJ drops back throws, it's caught and Wakes has it
inside the ten. Waights just tripped up. Had around the
six yard line. They'll mark him out of bounds. Looks
like at the four yard line. So a fifteen yard pickup,

(01:34:27):
Lambert transfer and storage first down. That was nice job
by CJ. Getting Jordan Waits out of the backfield. That's
first in gold Bulldogs down at the four leading thirty
one to nothing with nine forty to go here in
the third quarter and trying to add to it, here's
a hand off. Waits stood up at the line of scrimmage.
No gain on the play, may have lost to yard.

(01:34:47):
They're gonna mark him back to the five. Good job
there by the Jag defense standing tall on that first
down play.

Speaker 5 (01:34:55):
Wow, no gain was it?

Speaker 2 (01:34:57):
That was I think they lost the yard back to
the FI second and goal from the five, nine to
fourteen o'clock running here in the third quarter, Dogs leading
thirty one nothing over jag and trying to add to it.
Tommy Johnson checks to the ball game. He's the tailback.
Sankie out of the shotgun. They give it to Johnson.
Johnson inside the five and Johnson a head down to

(01:35:18):
the two. Three yards on the ground. It will be
third and goal from the two. Crander McCall the linebacker
on the stop. Calvin Hugly back in the ball game,
see if Calvin can get another touchdown. Sankie gets the stamp,

(01:35:44):
goes to Calvin inside the five and Calvin in the
end zone for the Bulldog touchdown thirty seven nothing, Calvin
Hugly in the end zone head the Bulldog stretch that
lead out eight twenty nine remaining.

Speaker 7 (01:36:05):
And uh.

Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
Went after attempt coming here from Rhys Beasley. Nice drive, Van,
really nice drive and a good throw too by C. J.
Sanke on that drive most of it on the ground.
That won. Good pass there, hold down, kick up and
kick us good that score drive and powered by our

Calvin Hugley's second touchdown of the night. He's got six
touchdowns now on the season. He continues to just rack
up his resume in this senior season and the Dogs
lead at thirty eight, Nothing over jag Here's Rhys Beasley
to kick things off to the Jaguars the augel kick
from right to the left. Beasley puts the total leather

(01:38:08):

let it go into the end zone and bounced down
at the two. Ain't twenty nine remaining here? In this
third quarter? Back mccrack instead of bye with the four
seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report.

Speaker 10 (01:38:20):
Hey guys, that say is exactly what we need to do.
When we came out for the second Holt Drodan ball touchdown.

Speaker 13 (01:38:26):
Hey, pops, So our old ballplayer, Keon Hugley wanted me
to tell you that he is upset with you because
you told him that you would.

Speaker 10 (01:38:34):
Come down and see him before the game.

Speaker 13 (01:38:37):
He's sitting right here by the Railing said with you,
so he expects to see He said, what's my coach?

Speaker 2 (01:38:42):
I see? I would you tell him I'm coming right
when the get told Mack you telling that he's about
to leave. So be careful, okay, all right, I don't work.

Speaker 5 (01:38:50):
Kean heard from me.

Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
First and tea Jag from their on twenty yard line
play action quarterback drops throws and that is Harris the
quarterback and tried to hook it up to his wide
receiver Marlow. Harris well underthrew him, so that'll bring up

(01:39:13):
second down eight twenty four man he here in the
third quarter, second and ten coming up for Jagg from
their own twenty yard line, thirty eight nothing Bulldogs with
the lead. Auburn adds another touchdown down in enterprise thirty
two fifteen Auburn leading enterprise and Ben Blackman, boy, that's
a mighty big statement from that Auburn team. Second and

(01:39:36):
ten play handoff goes to the tailback Caldwell. Good surge
across the middle. He's up to the thirty right at
the first down marker. Tyree's pitts on the stop there
for the Bulldogs, but a good run there by Donovan Caldwell.
The tailback, and he's got the first down up to
the thirty one yard line. Eleven yards on the ground
there for the running back.

Speaker 3 (01:39:58):
We got our number twos in there on defense again
up front, Jeremy Dillard, keelan jaw excuse me, I'm sorry, Stenson,
Thomas Davison, Stenson.

Speaker 2 (01:40:13):
First to tenth for the thirty one. They'll go back
to Caldwell. He's chased here near sign, trying to get
the sidelines in another good run up to the thirty
nine yard line before Leland Bell tracked him down.

Speaker 3 (01:40:25):
Yeah, Leland's playing back up to Tyre's Pitts at the
boundary safety six foot one seventy five.

Speaker 2 (01:40:31):
He's a junior, both of us taking the lead over
central twenty one twenty so some big games around there.
That's an eight yard pickup by the way here on
the Jag running back Donovan Caldwell. It'll make you second
out of two seven nineteen left here in the third quarter.

Speaker 5 (01:40:51):
I think they're going to try to want to run
the ball at this number two bunch.

Speaker 2 (01:40:55):
Shotgun Snamp goes again to the tailback, slipt to tackle,
got a first down, bench his way across midfield and
he is endopen like a territory down to the forty
nine yard line, twelve yards there by the running back.
Maybe we can start a fundraising campaign too for Jay.
They can get them a new tint. They've still got
the old Jeff Davis volunteer tent. They did get new uniforms. Well,

(01:41:18):
we got to get him a new tint.

Speaker 5 (01:41:20):
Does that say Jeff?

Speaker 2 (01:41:22):
This does Jeff Davis tint?

Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:41:28):
Maybe they can sell some chrispy Kreme donuts or something,
make a little fundraiser. We got to get him a tent.
First and ten at the opal like a forty nine shotgun,
snap hand off to laid give no, the quarterback will
keep it running far aside and he is forced out
of bounds at around the forty three yard line. Another
good pickup close to seven yards. Aden Harris forces him

(01:41:50):
out of bounds. See down to the down to the
forty three yard line. You gonna be a six yard
pickup and a second down and four six point twenty

(01:42:10):
two left here in the third quarter. Thirty eight zip oh,
like a leading jag, and.

Speaker 5 (01:42:16):
They're running on this group.

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
Now we got Berts and Caden Harris is the two linebackers.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Here hurrying up to the line here on second down
and four, quick snap and again goes to the tailbag.
He's hit and stood up right at the forty yard line.
Good job by number forty six Lakedrick Berts right comes
in on the stop. So five point fifty three left.

(01:42:48):
There's a time out on the field. Thirty one coming
up here for Jag. They're finding some rhythm here offensively here,
but down thirty eight nothing. We're back after this time out,
and you're listening to bulldog football here on the kicker.
Third and one pass incomplete, it'll bring up fourth down
and one here for Jag. Of all spotted at the
forty yard line. They need the thirty nine for the

(01:43:11):
first down, so they're keeping the offense out fourth and
one here, five point forty four remaining here in this
third quarter, and here's Jamichael Harris the quarterback out of
the shot gun, high snap over his head. He's in trouble.
He picks it up at the forty five. He retreats
all the way back to the forty trying to turn
it up field, but Warner McDonald there to bring him down.
Big time tackle there by the junior Warner McDonald drops

(01:43:34):
the quarterback for a huge loss all the way back
to the forty two yard line.

Speaker 5 (01:43:40):
That's about a minus twenty something in oh Man, it was.

Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
Back to the forty two. That was a fifteen yard loss.

Speaker 5 (01:43:50):
Yes, sir, good job.

Speaker 2 (01:43:52):
So the Dogs will have it at the forty two
of Jag and we'll see Kolby Key come back out
to work the quarterback position here, Rody Jones, Jamari Miller
and Bennett Young the wide receivers here on the field
here on first and ten, Dogs leading thirty eight nothing
over Jag. We'll see if Colby tries to take a

(01:44:16):
shot or they stay on the ground. Colby drops back,
wants to throw throws in nice grab by Bennett Young
of the thirty one yard line. Boy, he tight rope
that with coach. He found in a little tight window
and Colby Key hooked up with Bennett Young. Another great
grab there by Bennett and down to the twenty five
yard line. Seventeen yards on the throw and catch. Boy,

(01:44:37):
that was a big time throw by Colby Keith.

Speaker 5 (01:44:42):
Very good, very good protection, everything.

Speaker 2 (01:44:45):
Good down to the twenty five yard line. First in
at ten. That was a Lambert transfer in storage first
down Tommy Johnson is the tailbag. Johnson gets the hand
off trying to bounce it outside. Tommy, nice cut at
the twenty. He's inside the fifteen. He's almost got a
first down. He's right at the stick down at the
sixteen yard line, close to nine yards before Anthony Smith

(01:45:05):
got him. Boy, Tommy did a good job stretching that
one out. And boy he hit the whole quick come
in a yard shy of the first down he did.

Speaker 5 (01:45:13):
Yeah, he's a senior too. He is good for him. Yeah,
he was in my group yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:45:19):
Second down in one for the Bulldogs. Down at the sixteen,
a jag Key out of the shotgun throws a wheel
route called by Johnson inside the five touchdown Bulldogs. Tommy
Johnson in the indzole. Boy, nice job. They caught the
wire the running back out of the backfield and Tommy
Johnson gets in for a sixteen yard grab for the

(01:45:41):
Bulldog touchdown. And it's forty four nothing Bulldogs. And here's
the point after attempt coming from Reese Beasley. Well designed
play there by coach Moore and coach Jackkins. That offence
and another score.

Speaker 5 (01:46:00):
Rate and throw right there. That's a hard throw to
make perfect.

Speaker 2 (01:46:04):
Both these quarterbacks have played good tonight. Rhyes Beasley extra
point up and it is good that drive power by
friends at open like a power services hometown, people working
for you online at open lakapower dot Com. Forty five
nothing all dogs here over the jag Jaguars and we're
back after this word from Glennon Smith Chevy, We're back

(01:46:35):
here at Bulldogs Stadium, open like a leading forty five nothing,
four thirty nine remaining here in this third quarter of
play and a touchdown throw from kolbe Key as he
hooked up with Tommy Johnson for his first down, first
touchdown of the season. That was a sixteen yard reception
by Tommy Johnson. The senior folks having some fun here

(01:47:00):
at Bulldog Stadium now some of the fans deciding to
call it an early evening are the ones that are
staying foot getting ready for the fourth quarter light show
and a and a big Bulldog performance tonight. Both quarterbacks
have played a lot in this one. CJ. Sinky started
the game. Kobe Key has done more through the air.

(01:47:21):
CJ Zo has had some good balls through the air.
A couple of good passes from him here is Rehees
Beasley has it teed up and Beasley puts a big
booming kick into this one, but fielded at the six
yard line and returnable here tripped up, stayed on his
feet was a return man up close to the twenty
four yard line. Good job, And there's a player down

(01:47:42):
for jag Christian are Ben Swank on the stop there
for the Bulldogs by a player down for the Jaguars
and around the twenty one yard line that is number
sixteen Lake and Anderson who was shaken up there on
the play. So there is a time out on the field.

(01:48:07):
Auburn in the red zone again leading thirty two to
fifteen over Enterprise and facing a third down and fifteen
and last checked. Also Central's trailing doting twenty one to twenty.
So we'll keep you updated on that game as well.
It is a Central back on top now twenty eight

(01:48:27):
to twenty seven. Boy, they got a tight one going
on down there. So Wiregrass was some big time football
in Auburn converting a third down and they're knocking on
the door. Well, I tell you what. You don't go
down to Enterprise and wear out Ben Blackman. Very often, coach,
I tell you what Auburn. I think that can kind

(01:48:49):
of show what this Opelaka team can do too. With
the way Opelikah played.

Speaker 5 (01:48:52):
Auburn last week, I was just thinking about that.

Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
Yeah, Opelikah with a really impressive show in last week
in Auburn, showing that they're for real. First down and
ten play hand off goes to the running back far side,
tripped up at the thirty yard line, close to six
yards there on the play.

Speaker 5 (01:49:13):
Yeah, they're able to run the ball on our number
two's a little bit here. That's okay.

Speaker 3 (01:49:21):
They need to get all this playing time. There's two
Stensons and Money Thomas Josh Davis in there.

Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
The number two six yard pick up up to the
thirty yard line. It'll be second down in four here
for Jag with four oh three in a running clock
here in the third quarter, trips receivers to the right side,
quarterback play action and running it straight ahead and no
gain on the play. They'll finally come in and blow

(01:49:47):
this one dead. Money Thomas comes in there, makes the stop.
I'll give them a yard. It'll be third down and
three coming up here for Jag. Ball spotted up at
the thirty one yard line. Forty five nothing opal like
a leading three thirty left third quarter Forbder next week

(01:50:12):
homecoming Opalikah welcomes in the Smith's stationan Panthers another big
region game here at Bulldog Stadium. Third and three here
for Jag and running back Caldwell goes left side. Caldwell
is forced out near the first down marker. I think
he's gonna be marked out of bounds though. Yeah, it's

(01:50:34):
going back fourth almost around the line of scrimmage, so
it's gonna be fourth down in two. Now we'll see
if coach coach Upchurch wants to keep the offense out
here on a fourth and two from his own thirty
two yard line. I think he is. He's gonna keep
Caldwell in there running the quarterback. They've been going pretty
much wildcat here with the running back Caldwell, who's been

(01:50:56):
the person on the team that's had the most success
certainly tonight, and he lines up in the quarterback position
here on fourth and two, gets the stamp, thinks it
runs near side, and does get the first down as
he carries it up to the thirty nine yard line.
Brayden Howard on the stop for the Dogs. Two thirty

(01:51:26):
clock is stopped remaining here in the ballgame. Don't forget
coming up tonight. It is the Encore Rehabilitation High School
Scoreboard show. Jerry Bivarro Eddie Owen running down the local scores,
region the state wide scores from ten to midnight. Here
on the kicker jag from the thirty nine yard line,

(01:51:47):
a hand off to the tailback left side, carries it
up to the forty three yard line, close to four
yards there on the ground for Caldwell. Leakedrick Burts again
on the stuff for the Bulldogs, and it will be
second down in five, a five yard pickup, as they say.
He got up to the forty four thirty nine fifteen

(01:52:16):
Auburn leading. They scored but failed to convert on the
two point conversion, so twenty four point lead there. In
that one, Jack drops back quarterback Harris taking a home
run deep shot and he caught it.

Speaker 3 (01:52:35):
Boy.

Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
The defensive back went up, tried to make the interception,
one over his head and right to the arms of
Marlowe Harris down at the nineteen yard line, then sway
on the stop.

Speaker 5 (01:52:45):
Let's at about her.

Speaker 2 (01:52:48):
That is a thirty eight yard completion.

Speaker 5 (01:52:57):
That's your third big play this half.

Speaker 2 (01:53:01):
So thirty eight yards a first down out of the
nineteen yard line, it'll be first and ten. Jag. Right now,
you're trying to pitch the shutout, coach, and the defense
got to stand tall.

Speaker 3 (01:53:11):
Harris.

Speaker 2 (01:53:11):
Yep, that was a big busted assignment when I really
busted as Simon. Just a tough play there, and then
the flag is down. Five yard penalty coming in on Jag.
Here're gonna be a motion penalty and back them up
five yards forty eight seconds left here in this third quarter.
As we getting ready for the final quarter of play
coming up here at Bulldog Stadium, you get a Smith

(01:53:39):
score Carver and Smith's. See if we can get one
of those and know that game going on down the road.
Carver had been off to a two and oh start
Harris out of the shotgun. It will be first and fifteen.
After that five yard penalty and another flag comes in.

Speaker 5 (01:53:58):
I think this is against us. I think our defensive
end was off size.

Speaker 2 (01:54:02):
Yep, you're a right coach. Now, just a twenty nothing
lead over Smith's. That was on them, Another one on them,
back to the twenty nine Central leading Dothan now thirty
five to seven, thirty five to seven, yep, twenty seven

(01:54:31):
thirty five, twenty seven, twenty seventh, So Central on a
dog fight down there against Dothan dentaly backs it back
to the twenty nine yard line and there is a
timeout on the field. R Actually that's the end of
the third quarter. Forty five nothing. We head to the
fourth quarter and we're back with your final quarter after this,

(01:54:54):
Dogs lead it forty five nothing over the Jag Jaguars.
You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker Light
showtime here at Bulldogs Stadium. As we head to the
fourth corner, forty five nothing. The red lights just shining
bright all over as little everybody doing a little swag surfing.

(01:55:16):
Coach McCracken not involved in the swag surf this week.

Speaker 5 (01:55:19):
I'm going to get into that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:20):
We will get them before the season's over, though, Mac,
I'm telling you all right. Getting He said to start
the fourth quarter'll be first and twenty. After a couple
penalties here on Jag, they'll start first and ten at
the opal like a twenty nine yard line. Dogs lead
at forty five nothing. As we start the final quarter,
trips receivers to the left side, a single receiver to
the right side here for the Jaguars, and they've yet

(01:55:43):
to spot the ball ready to play here on this
first and ten play. It's like the marching band for
jag getting ready to head back to Carter Hill Road. Coach.
Now they're going, yeah, even were you high or low
on your prediction on the on the folks over on

(01:56:06):
the far side?

Speaker 5 (01:56:07):
I high? Were you yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:56:10):
Trips to the left singer receiver to the right side.
Harris gets it. They handed to the back. He'd cut
it inside, got a lane, but a good stop there
at the twenty five yard line. Leland Bell on the stop.
It'll bring up a second down and fifteen coming up here,

(01:56:32):
or maybe a second out of sixteen. It will be
second at sixteen at the twenty five.

Speaker 5 (01:56:38):
What'd they get that penalty for?

Speaker 8 (01:56:43):
Was that?

Speaker 2 (01:56:43):
I think it was another motion motion penalty?

Speaker 3 (01:56:45):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:56:48):
Trips receivers left singer receiver right here, Harris out of
the shot gun, drops back, pressured rushes near sighty sack
back at the twenty or back at the thirty four
yard line, coming up with a sack. Braiden Stenson?

Speaker 3 (01:57:02):
Is that ninety three or fifty fifty three? Braiden Stenson
Braiden Stenson, excellent.

Speaker 2 (01:57:10):
Back at the thirty four yard line is where he
dropped the quarterback down, and it'll be third and a
mile coming up here for the Jaguars. Ten fifty three
left of the game.

Speaker 5 (01:57:21):
Great job right there.

Speaker 2 (01:57:25):
Thought Harris was gonna escape the pressure for a moment
there and Braiden Stenson just kind of grabbed him by
the shoe laces and dragged him down two wide either
side here for Harris. The quarterback called well, that tough.
Running back to the right. Harris drops back trying to
set up a screen tip picked up by the Bulldogs,
intercepted by Eric st Thomas. Eric Thomas comes up with him,

(01:57:50):
that's money Thomas, money Thomas, Yes, sir, yeah, Money Thomas
comes up with the interception. Good job by the sophomore
coming up with a tip it up to himself and
intercepted it. We like it when it's on our side, coach.
It was a tough one last week when they dipped
it intercepted. We liked that one a little better. Bulldogs

(01:58:10):
will have it at their own thirty eight yard line.
They'll see CJ. Sankey come out and run the quarterback
position now.

Speaker 5 (01:58:17):
Bonie Thomas Tiff Grader. Great job.

Speaker 2 (01:58:25):
First and ten dogs back with a football nine forty
four to play. They see a heavy dose of the
ground game here. Sanky gives it to the back up
to the forty two yard line. Eric Watson on the
stop on the carry there, that was Jayalen Nelson, that

(01:58:48):
sophomore running back. Now we'll see another tailback slip in
the ball game and a nice hole across the forty
five cross midfield down inside the forty and tripped up
at the thirty five yard line. That was c J
Pink the sugey on the run there. CJ comes up

(01:59:12):
a little hobbled there after that run. CJ sophomore tailback,
five eight, one hundred and sixty five pounds. CJ carried
it down to the thirty four yard line. Lambert transferring
storage first down back in at tail back again as

(01:59:32):
Jalen Nelson and Nelson gets the hand off. Nelson big
hold inside the twenty five Nelson gone ten, five touchdown.
Nelson his first touchdown of the season, and I think
many more to come in his Bulldog career. Coach McCracken.

Speaker 5 (01:59:49):
That's up.

Speaker 3 (01:59:50):
I told you he's got a big kid too, a
great play Hey opened up some holds from him. That
was Jeremy Dillard and Keelan Jones, Robert Woods and Eric Mason.

Speaker 5 (02:00:01):
That was our second group.

Speaker 2 (02:00:03):
Well, he's really been impressing folks in these JV games.
And he's the fastest, I believe on the team.

Speaker 7 (02:00:08):
He is.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
He is Hey really speedy sophomore. And we saw how
quick he hit that hole.

Speaker 3 (02:00:14):
They ran some thirty yard dashes with some times early
and he's.

Speaker 2 (02:00:18):
The man point after a temmed up and good dogs
fifty two jag nothing that score and Drive and Power
by Opelaca Power Services hometown people working for you online
at Opelakah Power dot Com. Fifty two nothing. We're back
after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here
on the Kicker.

Speaker 11 (02:00:35):
W KKR Auburn Opelaikah is League County's Best Country ninety
seven point seven Kicker FM and iHeart Country Station.

Speaker 2 (02:00:52):
Fifty two nothing Opelaikah over Jack six forty five. And
that clock is running now here in this fourth quarter
to mc cracken, they have they have. I started to
run this clock here in this one and Rhys Beasley
has it teed up.

Speaker 5 (02:01:10):
Well, if I saw my band leaving at the end
of the quarter. I think I got him going to
run the clock.

Speaker 2 (02:01:15):
Yeah, you know, Jack's got some guys, just not enough
of them.

Speaker 5 (02:01:20):
You know, they got running back. It's really he's.

Speaker 2 (02:01:22):
Really good and they've got some big guys, just not
enough pieces Right now here in seven A that's off
the return man into the end zone for a touchback.
I continues to wind down six oh six Porschmider. Coming
up after the game, we'll be talking with coach Brian
Moore as the Dogs look to pick up their first

(02:01:44):
region win here against the Jaguars today. And there is
a time out and the clock will stop for this
official time out here with six oh four left, so
we'll step aside as well. Fifty two nothing Dogs over
jag We're back after this. On the kicker back out

(02:02:04):
of the time out six oh one remaining, it'll be
first and ten for the Jaguars. Quarterback gonna take a
shot deep downfield. Got a man caught at the forty
inside of the twenty ten five touchdown Tye Anthony Elboard
got behind the defense and that was a heck of

(02:02:24):
a throw by Jamichael Harris. So the Jaguars will not
be shut out tonight here with five thirty five left.

Speaker 5 (02:02:31):
That's bout eighty yards. Yeah, what's he on the twenty?

Speaker 2 (02:02:39):
Yeah? I think so. It's an eighty yard touchdown? Throw
boy taking a shot? They did, Coach McCracken and by
he threw that nice, niceyeah, eighty yard bomb from Jamichael
Harris to Tye, Anthony Elmore and Jack trying to figure

(02:03:01):
out who's gonna kick the extra pointer if they're going
for two. I think that caught their team off guard
that they scored. Coach, they weren't quite ready for the
kicking team. They might just go for two here. Well,
the play clock has yet to start and they continue
to run the game clock. Now there is a time

(02:03:22):
out that we'll be burned by Coach up Church and
the Jaguars. Let's head down and check in with Matt
mccranke and Matt, you fall asleep down there now.

Speaker 10 (02:03:31):
I'm just just watching this right here, that it just
got behind us on that one they did. There's a
lot of sigh of oh man, because I was is
that the first touchdown they've scored?

Speaker 8 (02:03:40):
It is?

Speaker 2 (02:03:41):
It's all yeah, yeah, Well, you know that's their first
offensive touchdown of the season.

Speaker 7 (02:03:45):
Too.

Speaker 2 (02:03:45):
By the way, Matt, they had a kickoff return for
a touchdown, but that is their first offensive score of
the season.

Speaker 13 (02:03:51):
Yeah, well, by the way, on the a little while ago. Yeah, man,
we will get. We will get Pops to little do
a little surfing here before it's over.

Speaker 3 (02:04:00):
No, no, no doing that.

Speaker 2 (02:04:02):
I think a homecoming back next week, not tonight, but
it will.

Speaker 10 (02:04:05):
Yeah, it'll eventually.

Speaker 3 (02:04:06):
I'll tell you what I do, Mac, I'll make you
a deal right now. We get in the state championship,
I'll surf the whole way back to Mac.

Speaker 2 (02:04:16):
Mac is you need to get Kindle or one of
them up here with him when it started the fourth
quarter next week and they'll get They'll make him do it.

Speaker 10 (02:04:23):
Yeah, he'll lead them.

Speaker 2 (02:04:24):
Yeah, all right, So time out taking by Jack to
try to get their point after crew out here, they
found the end zone here fifty two to six our score,
and they will go for the two point conversion and
as the quarterback to Michael Harris will work out of
the shot and gun Donovan Caldwell to his left. Snap

(02:04:47):
goes to Harris, they'll give it to the back caled
Well and he's going to be stopped short stopped at
the goal line. Nice job there by the Bulldog defense
standing tall there and not letting him get into convert
point conversion. So the clock continues to wind down here,
four twenty one left of the game, fifty two to six,
as the Jaguars found Peter on an eighty yard touchdown

(02:05:10):
throw and catch from Jamichael Harris to ty Anthony Elmore
forty six to fifteen, Auburn eating Enterprise. Nobody had that today.
Oh Mac McCracken, what's your thoughts.

Speaker 7 (02:05:27):
On that one?

Speaker 2 (02:05:28):
Yeah? I didn't expect that one. Yeah, I didn't need Now, Hey,
what's the what was the dothan? Dothan in uh thirty
five thirty three Central leading right now in the fourth quarter.
So that one's a tight one. So interesting scores there
by a big time, big time whooping Auburn putting on

(02:05:51):
Enterprise tonight down at Enterprise forty six fifteen. Here it's
fifty two to six, all Opelikah over Jag, and the
clock continues to run, three twenty one remaining here in
the ballgame. Jag set to kick it off, short kick

(02:06:13):
here near side, bounced picked up by Waits Waits across
the forty forty five Waits down the sidelines, Waits inside
the thirty kiss him goodbye. Waits touch down. He picked
it up, scooped it up, and Jordan Wakes.

Speaker 7 (02:06:27):
In the house got a fly.

Speaker 5 (02:06:30):
Oh that was not a clip. I watched that. That
was not a clip.

Speaker 15 (02:06:34):
All.

Speaker 2 (02:06:35):
I'll take it away from that guy. Here in a
fifty fifty two point ball game, they're gonna have a
flag here at the twenty eight yard line. Personal foul, blindside,
blind side block against Opalalaika. That's a big one, man.

Speaker 5 (02:06:59):
I didn't know the blind side in the hot Yeah
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (02:07:02):
I didn't see it. But that's a fifteen yard that'll
say that's gonna put it back close to midfield or
back to the forty two, So that will erase the touchdown.
Let's see if the Dogs can put it in Fuller Young.
We'll try it out to get a chance now here
at the quarterback position. Fuller threw a touchdown back in
the callaway game.

Speaker 3 (02:07:22):
Late.

Speaker 5 (02:07:23):
You better look out here now, Jag. This bunch is
gonna they want to score.

Speaker 7 (02:07:27):
You know that.

Speaker 5 (02:07:28):
That's a young group.

Speaker 2 (02:07:29):
Oh yeah, no doubt about it. Young gets the snaw
goodness and a whistle stops play. Well, they got a
time out taken by JAG. So a timeout taken with
two forty one left. We're back after this timeout fifty
two to six our score. You're listening to Bulldog football.

Speaker 17 (02:07:48):
Here on the k Lee County Chris Patten here to
ask you for your vote for Lee County District Court
Judge this November. I've been an attorney for twenty years
and have handled all types of cases from district court
up to the Alabama Supreme but i am especially passionate
about how our legal system affects our children. I'll bring experience, consistency,
and strength to the bench. So please vote Chris Patton

(02:08:09):
for Leek County District Court Judge this November.

Speaker 2 (02:08:12):
Paid four by committee to elect Chris Patten for District Judge.
P ol Box sixteen twenty four Auburn, Alabama three six'
eight three zero All right now the time out first
and ten Bulldogs at the JAG forty two fuller young
the quarterback just two forty one to play here in
this game. Gives to the tail back and down to

(02:08:34):
the forty one yard line on the carry with CJ.
Pink and CJ picked up.

Speaker 5 (02:08:41):
A yard.

Speaker 2 (02:08:42):
Let me second down in nine two point thirty two.
The clock continues to run. Young will hurry. The troops
back up. Two wide receivers to the left side. Pink again,
the loan back fuller gets the handoff, and here's Pink.
Gouys's runner aun across thirty five spin moves inside the
thirty and out of bounds inside the twenty five yard line.

(02:09:04):
They'll mark him down around the twenty three and that's
a Lambert transfer in storage first down and that pickup
good for eighteen yards and the bulldoy first down.

Speaker 5 (02:09:14):
Weep over to this side. Got all the young puppies
in there. Now, that's great.

Speaker 2 (02:09:20):
And you know they want to score here with a.

Speaker 5 (02:09:23):
New van, they gonna try to score. I'll flame them.

Speaker 2 (02:09:26):
Yeah, here is a smoke in the game, and oh,
Nelson gets the handoff inside the twenty down of the
nineteen yard line. Come on, come on, this is Ashton Smoke,
who's wearing number ten tonight because he was number five,
which was handed off to Golbie Keith. So Ashton Smoke

(02:09:47):
out of the shotgun. Two receivers to the left side,
second down in four and a flying comes in and
stops play.

Speaker 3 (02:09:54):
Here.

Speaker 5 (02:09:56):
Oh it's a oh they they got one herd over there.

Speaker 2 (02:10:08):
All right, So there's a time out on an injured
player here for Jag as he gets helps off the field. Here,
clock stop with a minute twenty two. Tristan Glaze, a
sophomore running back, was in the ball game, little guy
to five four, one hundred and forty six.

Speaker 5 (02:10:29):
Yep. I met him yesterday. It is one of the
one of the nine running backs.

Speaker 2 (02:10:36):
So smoke back out out a shotgun, two white outs
to the left side and a second down and four play.
They'll give it to Glaze trying to find some running room,
and he's tripped up from behind and brought down for
a loss, and that'll bring up third down.

Speaker 5 (02:10:52):
All right, up, guys, let's go.

Speaker 2 (02:10:55):
Fifty six seconds clock continuing to run. We'll see if
bulled on, we'll have to run at least one more
play here they lead at fifty two to six. Smoke
out of the shotgun.

Speaker 7 (02:11:09):
C J.

Speaker 2 (02:11:10):
Pink is the tail back. Smoke or pull it and
run it himself here trying to find some running room,
and he's tracked down for a loss of four, and
that'll be the last play I would imagine here of
the ball game. Still some players trying to try it
out here fifty nine. O't sawyer Rawlins getting in there.

Speaker 3 (02:11:30):
On the ballardin Who's twenty eight?

Speaker 2 (02:11:32):
Twenty eight? That is Jalen Nelson's twenty nine? Is Maley
chai by them?

Speaker 5 (02:11:39):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:11:43):
I see a lot of young faces on that offensive
line getting in the ball game. Here four seconds, I'll
have one more snap and they running back brought down
back of the twenty nine yard line, and that'll be
the last play of the ballgame. Is Jalen Nelson was
brought down on that one? But a big win for
the Bulldogs tonight, fifty two to six over the jag Jaguars.

(02:12:06):
Here Insigne Bulldogs Stadium. Coming up next, it's our postgame
show Rowty Bay and Jeff Coach trand Funeral Home and Crematory,
and we'll be back for the Orthopedic Clinton Broadcast booth
after this time out you listen to Bulldog football here
on the kicker back here Bulldog Stadium, a happy Bulldog Stadium.

(02:12:33):
Fifty two to six, Bulldogs a winner tonight here over
the jag Jaguars and opal like and proves to three
and one on the season, one and one in region play.
And Coach it's always big to get that first region win,
regardless of the opponent. A chance to get another region
win next week here for home coming at Bulldog Stadium
against Smiths Station.

Speaker 3 (02:12:51):
That's a very, very satisfying good win for the Bulldogs tonight.
We ran the ball well, we threw the ball well,
we played very good defense, we didn't turn the ball over.

Speaker 5 (02:13:05):
It was a good night for Opalaca football.

Speaker 3 (02:13:08):
Let's just continue to get better, I know that's what
Brian's telling these boys.

Speaker 5 (02:13:14):
And let's get ready for Smith's Station next week.

Speaker 2 (02:13:18):
What just a head scratching game down to the wiregrass
right now, as Auburn beating Enterprise fifty three to fifteen. Wow,
and just a dominating effort down there in that one.
Let's head down, mag We'll get some to thoughts of
yours on this one. Yeah.

Speaker 13 (02:13:34):
I was listening to coach Moore's post game speech to
his team right there. Yeah, Hey, look like we discussed earlier.
You know, he told him to get the battassed out
their mouth, come out and start early, and which we did.

Speaker 10 (02:13:46):
And then we fell flat, which you know he made
it to you could tell.

Speaker 13 (02:13:49):
And then a lot of frustration on the sideline of
just kind of dead like a dead time dead spell
we had. And then we had the you know, the
big plays which triggered the other big play, and they
go in to half, they come out scoring the opening drive,
and then it was just you know, just a you know,
one after another, one after another. Offensively great, defensively did
a great job. So you know, you just kind of,

(02:14:10):
you know, close this one and get ready for Smith's
station for homecoming next week.

Speaker 2 (02:14:14):
All right, we'll see up in just a bit Mack
with Coach as we'll continue with our post game show again,
fifty two to six. Our score here at the end
of this one, as opal like it dominates the win
over Jag and the last score check it was Paul
Oh thirty five thirty five and a tie game down
in Dothan between Dothan and Central Phoenix City. So we'll

(02:14:36):
keep an eye on that one as we continue here
with our postgame show. Postgame show brought to you by
Jeff Coach, Trent Funeral Home and Crematory Bulldogs. The winner
again fifty two to six. More after this here on
the Kicker back here the Roth Pete Clinton Broadcast booth
Opalaika A winner tonight fifty two to six over the Jaguars.

(02:15:00):
A couple of score updates for you, tie game thirty
five thirty five between Dothan and Central and a whooping
down in the Wiregrass Auburn fifty three Enterprise fifteen. Coach Moore,
I know that probably may shock you a little bit
there as you come up here to the booth with us. Boy,
Auburn showed what they're made of. And I think that
that kind of makes this Bulldog team feel little better

(02:15:22):
about last week.

Speaker 6 (02:15:23):
Maybe yeah, I mean they're good. They're good, you know,
and but yeah, yeah, we got we got to get
a lot better too.

Speaker 7 (02:15:29):
We didn't. You know, this game tonight was really hard.
I know, coach knows this.

Speaker 6 (02:15:33):
It's like, man, it's so difficult to after you sort
of expend so much energy and emotion in a game,
you know, to get yourself back going.

Speaker 7 (02:15:41):
I thought we're a little flat, you know, and we're.

Speaker 6 (02:15:46):
Not to the point right now as a program where
we understand how to just dominate, you know, and be
super consistent, and we just got a long way to go.
I mean, I'm proud of the finish obviously, I mean,
just just win, you know, and wining Reagion games and
that sort of thing. But I didn't think we were
real CLO. Mean, I thought defensively, our first group played
better tonight. They didn't run it well. Amari you know,
did some of Maury things tonight. So it was good

(02:16:07):
to see him back and sort of finding his legs again.
And you know, I thought Malik impacted the game, and
I thought, you know, Carson Moss continues to play extremely well.
So the first group defensive was good. They wanted to
shut out, but you know, it's it's really really important
to play a ton of young kids, and so you know,
the kid has just been with us a few weeks,
was the corner that got beat right there. He'll get
better and Coach Murray's really pouring into him. So Chris Hurd,

(02:16:30):
he's gonna be a good player. But uh, but proud
of the win. We just got to play a little
bit better and hopefully we will next week.

Speaker 2 (02:16:35):
Talk about your wide receivers. Ben at young, what a
night he had, and then you saw Jalen to do
some Jalen things and what he can do. And two
young guys there for you that that had big nights.

Speaker 6 (02:16:45):
Yeah, it was good to see Bennett, you know, Bennett
was great all through summer and camp and then got
that little ankle deal.

Speaker 7 (02:16:52):
You know, it's really the top of his foot that
continues to nag him.

Speaker 6 (02:16:55):
It still did tonight, but he was more and I
think that was the deal down here when he got caught,
know on my angles, just can't quite you know, run
one hundred percent, but he's close. But it was good
to see him take some tunnel screens and do some
real big things. And then of course Jalen and then
we threw a.

Speaker 7 (02:17:09):
Little double pass with you, Mauri, because we've got some
guys that are really great.

Speaker 6 (02:17:12):
It was I mean, they can do that, and so
we want to put those kinds of things on film,
you know, we want to be more multiple. We really
went and shot a little bit more tonight and threw
the ball over their heads a little. I did not
think we ran the ball well tonight. I thought it
was our worst performance up front. We were not clean,
you know, and really, you know, you think with them,
you know, sometimes you get some kind of funky fronts

(02:17:33):
and people moving around, but they were really clean up
front and we weren't. And so I was disappointing that
and I think our offensive line was you know, Darius
Whitlow had surgery Thursday and he's his finger.

Speaker 7 (02:17:43):
He's fine.

Speaker 6 (02:17:44):
He had great surgery and he's gonna be fine here
in a week or so. But we missed him tonight.
That all right, guard, And you know, we got to
have some other guys to step up, so Carmel and
Keelan did. But we've got to be a little bit
better and a little cleaner. But when you move pieces around,
sometimes the communication piece is not as good, and so.

Speaker 7 (02:18:00):
We'll work on that this week.

Speaker 2 (02:18:01):
Quarterbacks threw it good. I know, boy Kolbe the one
he threw over here to bend it in the tight
window there he were on the money. And then of
course the past to Jamori for the big home run.
You needed that one at that time of the game too.

Speaker 7 (02:18:10):
No doubt.

Speaker 6 (02:18:11):
And we saw CJ Moore, you know, we talked about
it for multiple weeks and see jactually started the game
because he had a great week this week. And so
we want to continue to compete at every position. And
you know, and so I thought, I thought CJ. Sanky
played really well, and then you know Kobe did come
in and and you know, hit the big pass to Jamori,
and yeah, You're right that curl in that window was
those are the throws.

Speaker 7 (02:18:30):
That he can make.

Speaker 6 (02:18:31):
So please with that. I hate that, you know, we
had we've had this one rigged up. We threw to
Blake Johnson that was called back. We had a hold
on it right down the alley, right there in between
the hash and numbers off of jumbo package. We've had
that pass for a while and we finally went to
it and you saw extended his hands above his head
and made a great that's.

Speaker 7 (02:18:48):
How athletic he is so uh But yeah, pleased with that.
We threw it a little bit better tonight.

Speaker 6 (02:18:51):
We got to continue to put the ball on the edge,
on the perimeter, uh, and throw it down the field,
take some shots on people and get those safeties out
of the fit.

Speaker 2 (02:18:58):
I know that this week and next week, coach, you're
playing two teams in the region that are down a
little bit. I know sometimes it's kind of hard to
keep the guys focused. But and you got home coming
next week all those distractions to go with that too.

Speaker 6 (02:19:08):
That's right, Yeah, you know those are tough. I mean,
it's a lot easier to get up for a big game,
There's no question about it. And again, I think our kids,
Like I mentioned, I did not think Monday of this
week was a good good day at all, and we
just felt tired and felt emotionally drained. And Tuesday was
a much better day. But again, just prout of the wind.
I was really proud to reach Peasley tonight. I thought

(02:19:29):
he kicked the ball extremely well, kicked the ball in
the end zone, made a field goal. That is a
massive development for us right now with Johnny being down
and we expect him back any any week here, maybe
even this week. But but Reese has a place for
us right now. And I thought even the operation of
snapped the hold was cleaner. You know, we've had some
snapshre kind of behind Brody and Brody's been able to

(02:19:50):
get him on the block. So you know, Coach Prescott
and I have worked hard on that, Coach Ferguson to
get that cleaned up, Marshall Myers and and we did tonight.
So again the whole thing when when you go through
games like this, when you have a big lead, it's
all about being clean.

Speaker 7 (02:20:03):
Discipline, no penalties.

Speaker 6 (02:20:05):
Just like Jordan Waite's running the ball for a touchdown
right there, and we block a little bit behind the play.
You know, I thought, in a game like this, let
that go, you know, don't peel back. I thought it
was a clean block. He was not not dirty or anything,
but a little bit behind the play which took a
touchdown off the board. So but again, we got a
lot of kids in and excited for those guys because
they played a JV game money played tonight, played another

(02:20:26):
JV game that's coming Monday. That's how you get going,
you know, as far as you're developing your depth and
young kids.

Speaker 2 (02:20:31):
And fans got to see a glimpse of Jayalen Nelson
and what he can do. And he broke through that run.
Boy the speed you've you said it, coach, he's one
of the fastest, if not the fastest, on the team.

Speaker 3 (02:20:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:20:40):
Anyways, one hundred and ninety pounds at it. So you know,
he's a good looking kid. And I thought C. J.
Pink ran it well as well.

Speaker 6 (02:20:45):
So I love our two sophomore backs and we've got
some other ones that are coming along, So feel good
about that room. Coach Landers has a great group, and
it was good to see Jordan getting ends on tonight.
Jordan waits, he had such a great year last year,
and you know, Calvin's playing so well. That's been hard
to find touches for Jordan, but he's going to continue
to grow. He caught an out route, uh, to the field.
That was a great catching. The Tommy Johnson caught the

(02:21:06):
wheel route. It was good for Tommy as a senior
to get his first touchdown. And I thought that was
that was really big to spread the spread the love
a little bit with those bikes.

Speaker 3 (02:21:14):
Ben Landers was in our group with the room on
Thursday afternoon, and boy, those guys were great man, and
we challenged them to, you know, to come out and hey,
I told him.

Speaker 5 (02:21:25):
I got so jacked up.

Speaker 3 (02:21:26):
I said, hey, we're gonna lose another game this year,
and you guys are going to be the major part
of that. And uh, I thought, you defense set the
tone of the game. And then you your pass play,
your half back pass. That was tremendous.

Speaker 5 (02:21:41):
I think that that.

Speaker 3 (02:21:44):
Stole the show and kind of set the whole game
where it was an enjoyable game to watch.

Speaker 6 (02:21:50):
Well, we finally stretched it out. We just couldn't in
the first half. We couldn't quite get it stressed out.
It was ten to nothing. It felt like a hell
there for a quarter, you know, and uh, we just
we had two drives in a row that not good
won and plus territory that we didn't. We didn't they
they had the backwards pass or whatever we got and
we just couldn't finish the drive.

Speaker 2 (02:22:07):
It was a twenty point game last year against this
you know, not the same team, but they just they
gave They gave the team fits last year out in
real second game of the season. So it was just
one of those. And I don't have this same number two,
but they had a number two last year that was
just tough.

Speaker 7 (02:22:21):
Right in the quarterback. I think he's a good player.

Speaker 6 (02:22:22):
He threw that bought a four a couple of times
about fifty yards down the field. He launched those things.
So yeah, they they're really talented. They're humongous up front,
so I didn't realize how big they were on film.
And they had some beef in there, so we had
a hard time moving them around.

Speaker 2 (02:22:36):
But we looked down at the gold line when they
were down there, and we saw our team and then
we saw their team. It was almost like David versus
to life.

Speaker 7 (02:22:43):
For a minute there, I thought, got some big guys, No, no,
no doubt I.

Speaker 3 (02:22:46):
Got to meet Kobe's dad before the game. He's a
big dude man. Ed what is Kobe six foot maybe
right around six foot?

Speaker 7 (02:22:56):
You know his dad played at Alabama.

Speaker 3 (02:22:57):
Yeah, I know. We sat out and talk it's and everything,
and he's he's a boy. He's fired up about this season,
just like all the parents are. Uh. And I'm just
so happy for you because I know, I know what
you went through last Friday night. I've been through those
kinds before, and I know it's a miserable weekend and everything.

(02:23:21):
And then so we're back on the right track now.
But uh, I know you're gonna look at film and say, hey,
we got a ton.

Speaker 7 (02:23:29):
Of work to know, doubt well, and you had you
had four.

Speaker 3 (02:23:31):
Starters out tonight injuries and stuff, so put those guys
back in there.

Speaker 6 (02:23:37):
We were we were very reluctant to play guys like
Tyler Moore tonight, you know, and and some other guys
and just to just to get them. We need to
be healthy in the stretch run, you know. And of
course they were ready to go. Tyler went through pregame
and all that, ready to roll if he needed to.
And you know, we'll do the same next week. We'll
see how it feels. And you know, we just want

(02:23:57):
to make sure that we're as healthy as we can
be down the stretch. So it'll be nice to have
those guys back, for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:24:03):
And I see Lewis down on the field, Lewis Merley,
and I know he had a tough injury on Monday
in the JV game. Good to see him down there
in good spirits tonight.

Speaker 7 (02:24:10):
No doubt. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:24:11):
And that's the thing when you play all these developmental games,
you get maned up in those two.

Speaker 7 (02:24:15):
So that's the other piece, you know.

Speaker 6 (02:24:16):
They you lose your back up guy here or there,
you know, and so it's the risk, but the reward
is so great, you know, to.

Speaker 7 (02:24:22):
Play and get the kids experience.

Speaker 6 (02:24:23):
So we'll play smith Station Monday here at six o'clock
hour time and it'll be it'll be good for our kids. Again,
we did not play well this past Monday, and we
need to play better next week. So we worked on
that and had meetings about that, and we watch film
with those kids and walk through with them with that
group to make sure they're ready for ballgames. So and
then our ninth grade we'll go to Tallisy Monday and

(02:24:45):
play actually played their JV. So that's how we'll operate
through that Monday, and we're gonna play a ton of
ball games developmentally and continue to get these guys ready
to go.

Speaker 3 (02:24:54):
Coach from morning time, I said a nice interception too,
What a great kid is.

Speaker 5 (02:25:00):
That was awesome? You're so happy, man, that's great.

Speaker 6 (02:25:04):
Well, and I did want to mention Money had a
great play, but I did want to mention youth night too.
I appreciate the kids and the cheerleaders and uh before
the game we had a ton of future Bulldogs. We
appreciate miss Coach Johnson, our cheerleading sponsor and making a
run through sign and those kids' parents. I know, we're
proud and what a memory, you know for those kids
to run out, you know, on a Friday night at
Bulldog Stadium and see it under the lights. You know,

(02:25:26):
it's just a great opportunity for them. And shoot, man,
you know that people ask me that question a lot
about you know, kids keeping kids.

Speaker 7 (02:25:33):
Hopefully that's how you keep kids.

Speaker 6 (02:25:34):
Oh yeah, and you bring them on this field and
you love on them and they get to meet our
players and you just continue that positive vibe you know
that we have going right now.

Speaker 7 (02:25:41):
And uh. And I told our players.

Speaker 6 (02:25:43):
I said, look, man, there's gonna be like a hundred
of these little guys out here. Go and speak to them,
you know, because you you might as well have a
cape on, you know, with these guys, you're a superhero
to them and to my own children. And I said,
go and meet them. And you know, you got guys
like Calvin Hugley going up and fist bumping them. I mean,
you can imagine as a ten year old what that's like.

Speaker 2 (02:26:01):
But to my daughter, Calvin is just Calvin from the
sports you know, he was the camp counselor this summer.
And she's looking through the football program and she goes,
wait a minute, that's Calvin from the sports Plagues. And
I go, he's our running back. Yes, is he play? Yeah,
yes he does. So he's pretty good too, no doubt.
Well coach with go ahead, Matt, I go, I got.

Speaker 10 (02:26:20):
One thing to tell you.

Speaker 8 (02:26:20):
You know.

Speaker 13 (02:26:21):
I know you say you got to you know, you
get lost in the game and everything, but I wanted to, uh,
you know, tell you that the support here in Opelaika,
you know, the threat of rain, threat of severe thunderstorms, everything.

Speaker 10 (02:26:33):
If you looked up at the crowd.

Speaker 13 (02:26:34):
There was a pretty pretty big crowd here for the
support the dogs, and it was just a great night
in the crowd and of course on the field.

Speaker 7 (02:26:41):
Well appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (02:26:42):
And Gully think about like the Auburn game and how
many people were there early, like it was jam packed
right when they opened the gate, they just let him
flood through, and then same thing here. I've just been
so you know, you know, pleased and thankful, you know,
for for all the support for our kids and all
the things on social media too this week, you know,
after a tough loss, just all these people rallying behind

(02:27:03):
our players because they knew how hard they played, and
just just thankful for our entire community and just just
excited to get back to homecoming next week. Now that
one positive of that is you usually have a huge
crowd and some people that come back that don't don't
