one A two point one Cable two. It's Chris Cairn Company.
We're gonna hook you up for secret show tickets in
just a second. Hold tight our numbers eight sixty six

(06:33):
win Cable two will tell you here in just a second. Hey,
when you walk into Target next time, Uh.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Don't don't be don't be thinking you weren't warned. Some
people are.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Some people listen will not affect in the slightest Other
people are gonna be a little pissed.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
What's going on? Dup, Yeah, like me.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
So yesterday I walk into Target and I'm like, oh, cool,
self check out, and I'm wondering why there's this long
line that self check out. Yes, because they took out
the eight self checkout machines at the Maple Grove Target
at one end and only kept the four on the
other end. And what I found out is Target's eliminating

(07:08):
that They're eliminating the self checkout well except for like
four of them.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
So are those ones done by Starbucks? No, those ones
are out. Those are all out. Yeah, those are at
the other under the exit, yes, no kidding.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
And they said that there are ten items are less
and if you have more than ten, you have to
go to a staffed.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
So why are they doing it? Because that was like
I got good at that. I finally got good at that.
I mean, you know, I mean this is like, this
is like algebra for me. When I was a kid,
you know, algebra wasn't clicking so much, and all of
a sudden, algebra started clicking. Doing algebra and it's like, oh,
then all said the school year's done. It's like wait
wait now I started to get algebra. Then you can
do algebra two? And I said so what so do

(07:49):
I have to take algib two and I had to
take hels. That was a struggle after that a little bit,
but I did get through it. But once I started
getting it down with the with the self checkouted target
and now there it's going away. But they say it's
not because of theft, but it has to be, because
it has to be.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
That's the only reason.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
I don't even I don't remember the last time that
I did went to any store that had self checkout and.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Didn't use self shelf checkout. Yeah, I always use it.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Now, I'd imagine I don't know how it's not related
to theft, like you guys said, But I also imagine
maybe it's because of staffing, because they always have to
have one or two people there to supervise.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
By the way, those people have, the patience, they have
the heart, those people are going to heaven, I know,
the mainline to heaven for those people. Seriously, you sit
there and deal with the people like the old me
who aren't quite figuring things out all the time, you
know what I mean, Because the thing wouldn't scan or something,
you know, and they kill and go and wipe the
thing down or whatever, and you know they knew all
the tricks of the trade, which I now know. I
just use my shirt on the scanner, you know what

(08:42):
I mean, and then I got it down. But they
they have to deal with a lot of people that
don't really understand self check totally.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
And even if you do understand self checkout, there are
a lot of things that can go sideways, like if
you accidentally double scan something, suddenly you need a team
member to come and sign in and fix it. So
I can see how they can be a headache, but
I just think it's so convenient and to get rid
of it.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
It's kind of a bummer.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
So it's gonna be everywhere now, right, I mean it's
probably gonna be at other stores. I mean, cub has
a lot of self check out over there on the side.
What stops people from just walking out the door with stuff? Well,
I mean other than your conscience and the Holy Spirit
working within you.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, what stops you from.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Well, I think the alarms will go off of you,
but not on the merchandise sausages or something.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
I think I think it does.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Does it really isn't it? I don't know. Douves try
it this afternoon film it. Yeah, I haven't.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
I haven't tried theft.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
So and then just let me know what jail you're
in doing it with a bail the house. It's for science,
is that what it is?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Imagine be getting arrested. I'm doing this for a bit.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yeah, So Chris Carry Company, you want secret show tickets?

all the parents already knew that. But all right, name
something you've accidentally stolen?

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Hello, thank you Sam. Sam.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Grapes Okay, when you're at the grocery, are like snacking
on doves.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
There's a little wiggle room, but not much. I'm gonna
say a banana, No grapes, Ryan, I.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Don't know, Ryan, I don't know how we did it,
but these were the right answers.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Hey, Paul, I'm really really sorry this normally doesn't happen.
Sam usually sucks.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I don't know what's going flaborous APPI.

Speaker 1 (11:54):

Facebook page. Take a teacher for secret show tickets.

Speaker 2 (12:36):

Speaker 1 (12:36):
There you go, and then you don't have to give
them to that teacher. Just recognize the teacher. Well, the
teachers getting recognized. If you want to bring the teacher,
bring the teacher. But let's just and then we'll get
some names. I think we can give both. I think
we can give the teacher and.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
We'll do it.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Okay, Well du yeah dubs declared.

Speaker 2 (12:50):

talkbacks too, which is awesome.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
I like to shout out to all the teachers. I
have a little story, like a week before graduating, we
used to use square guns and sport each other. Well,
I squirted my teacher and he's like, I'm gonna get you.
A couple of days later, Security came and got me,
and I thought I was in big trouble. They escorted
me outside where a couple of students doused me with

(14:31):
a bucket. I was with the rest of the day.
But he was awesome, so cut.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Dude and the strongest Minnesota. I was, well, I was
what the rest end of the day. I couldn't even
pull that off.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
If you have a little teacher story or anything you
want to add, yeah, throw it on talkback in the
iHeart Radio app. We also understand it's a collision of
Teachers Week and Nurses Week. We love both. So tomorrow
we're gonna do Nominated Nurse with Secret Show tickets. Okay,
right now, we'll do the teachers. Tomorrow, we'll do the nurses.
Keep it on here because you had to have the
instruction from a teacher to be a nurse, so we'll
do it in that or I just I literally just
made that up as I was going so, but there's

(15:05):
really no particular order. You can draw something on talkback,
but what you want to do is tag a teacher
on the Chris Carren Company Facebook page so we could

There's two pairs of tickets out there for grabs.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
So start doing it. Yeah, people are using talkback. I
mean we love that. We love on our teachers with
talk back, but you really want to do it on
the Chris Carr Company Facebook page, tag a teacher.

You want to do that, get me, don't get me wrong.
I love that totally. But I think we'll keep the
contesting on Facebook. If you want to do to a teacher,
let a rip, I'll take all of those.

Speaker 2 (16:49):

on Scott, a gen xer from Rosemont. They'll both get
questions from each other's generation till somebody gets too right
and gets their choice of the goodies. No losers in
this game. Really, are you guys ready?

Speaker 7 (20:47):
Ready?

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Let's do it? Okay, Steven, you're the millennial, so you
get to go first. Here.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Who was the villain? An inspector gadget?

Speaker 9 (20:54):
Oh gosh, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Scott the gen xer. I don't know that one either,
Doctor Claw. Scott the gen Xer. We go to you
to take the lead.

Speaker 5 (21:05):
What was the name of Olivia Rodrigo's debut album?

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Oh god, I don't know that one either, Steven the Millennial.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
I'm gonna guess. Was it Olivia Rodrigo?

Speaker 1 (21:17):
No, it was called Sour Hey man, wait to take
a pot shot, though, you're gonna do it? Do it
that way, all right? Scores Fresh nothing nothing, Steven the Millennial.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Here you go.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
What show had a character named Screech?

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Yes, it's one for the Millennial. Scott. We go to
you to tie the game, the gen Xer.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
What wizarding sport is played on broomsticks?

Speaker 9 (21:39):
Ah, I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Steven the Millennial for the win? Quid it? Yes, you
got it, my man? Nice Stephen, congratulations. All right, dude,
it's your choice.

Speaker 1 (21:51):

Speaker 1 (22:02):
All right, Brentley Gilbert for Scott. You guys are laughing.
Thanks for keeping it on. Camittal two. Who do we
have coming up? And that's what she said.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
Bree and Tim from Princeton.

Speaker 5 (22:11):
They've been married for eleven years, they've got one child,
and they're gonna be playing. That's what she said. Thanks
to Minnesota Rosco. We basically take couples and then let
them duke it out. We ask them the same five
questions and you'll be shocked at how different their answers
usually end up.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
And there's a reason we call it. That's what she said.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
It gives more room for her to attack him and
vice versa, and there's a reason why it's coming up.
A couple of songs and then Megamarani tickets Baby one
two point one, Kmital two. It's Bailey Zimmerman Abby t She.

Speaker 7 (22:37):
Appreciation Week to all the teachers that I work with

(23:04):

That's what she said.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
Free and Tim from Princeton are playing. That's what she
said this morning. Things to our friends at Minnesota Rasco.
They've been married for eleven years, they've got one child,
and they're about to go head to head.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
A little bit here. We're gonna ask Brie five questions.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
Then we'll ask him the same five questions and see
just how different their answers end up being.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
All right, Bri, you go first, if you're if you're
all set, yes, all right, here we go. When it
comes to you and Tim, what would you say your
most embarrassing moment would be together?

Speaker 9 (23:39):
Okay, okay, so it has to be Windstock a couple
of years back. You know when someone stands next to
you and you think that it's the.

Speaker 11 (23:47):
Person you're with. Well, Tim put his arm around this
girl who he thought was me, but it was definitely
not me. You know.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
It was so funny.

Speaker 11 (23:57):
Because he just, I don't know, he felt so embarrassed,
and the girl appeared to apologize.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Oh good to be her.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Yeah, what is your favorite snack when you go to
the movie theaters?

Speaker 11 (24:08):
Okay, I'm about to change your life. Popcorn with junior
mint in it.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
It's so good.

Speaker 11 (24:15):
It's my go to You in there.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
Nice. You can do that, do whatever you want.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
You don't get arrested for That is America. Baby. What
is something that Tim takes forever to do? Easy?

Speaker 11 (24:30):
Any chores around the house? Definitely, it's like why did
he take so long a dust your vacuum?

Speaker 1 (24:36):
So actually doing the chores opposed to just going to
do the chore, he takes him a while to do
the chore.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Both.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Yeah, Okay, what would Tim say is your sass level?
Like your sassiness on a scale of one.

Speaker 9 (24:50):
To ten, I would have to say I'm like a six.
Probably I can be sassy, but I'm not the worst
or anything.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Gotcha, So he'd probably say a six, right, probably, Okay,
that'll be interesting. Hey, what's a show like your show together?
Like if he watches it without you, you'd be upset.

Speaker 11 (25:09):
Virgin River. You may not say it because it's not
like a manly cool show, but definitely Virgin River.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
All right, well, let's match up your questions to his answer.
I'm sorry your answers to his answers, and get him
on the phone.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Next to you.

Speaker 11 (25:20):
Ready, sounds good?

Speaker 2 (25:22):
All right, We're gonna get.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Tim on the phone, see how he does, and then
we're gonna get you off to Megga Maroney sold out
show at the Armory, and we want you to win
the VIP, be qualified for the VIP experience before the show,
to meet Megan and everything. It's all next K one
O two one two point one one two Darius Rucker.
All right, we're gonna play a little two songs show
down here in just a second. Get you to Megga
Maroney sold out show at the Armory. Megga Maroni, and

(25:46):
how about that VIP performance that she's gonna do just
for you, well and a few others. All right, gets
you qualified for that? That's right after. That's what she said,
which we're gonna do right.

Speaker 5 (25:55):
Now, Brian Timer playing. That's what she said this morning.
Thanks to our friends at Minnesota Ruscoe. They've been married
for eleven years, they have one child, and now is
Tim's time to shine or fall apart. We'll see we
already asked three five questions. Now it's tim'stern. They're gonna
be the same five questions, but we want to see
how different the answers are going to be.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Tim Bree, are you both ready? Ready? All right? Tim,
here you go.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
What do you think would be the most embarrassing moment
for you and Brie?

Speaker 2 (26:26):
A moment together?

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (26:28):
Okay, I would say the Windstock incidents.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Name it sounds like somethy on TV tonight at seven,
the Windstock And yes, yeah, that's what.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
She said, is yeah, you got it before.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
The record Brie did did tell us everything she did.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Yeah, she told us the whole story. How you put
your armor on somebody? You thought that it was her? Uh,
you know, I think that could happen to anybody.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
I wish somebody would have gotten out on films somewhere.
You just have to find it.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Probably.

Speaker 5 (27:02):
Hey, Tim, what is Bree's favorite snack at the movie theater?

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Oh? It would have to be tower patch kids.

Speaker 10 (27:12):
She gets those any anytime we go to the movie
and she's like scarfing him down.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
No, dude, that's not what she said.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
No, who are you one of the movies with?

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Yeah, I think he's going to the girl. He put
his arm around it. No, no, no.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
No, bree she told us that that you that she
likes to get popcorn and put Junior Vince in it.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
She's like, it's in the dark. I never knew that,
all right. What is something that takes you forever to do?

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Tim?

Speaker 10 (27:42):
I think that she would say that I take forever
to clean my car. I like getting like every little detail.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Every little crevice.

Speaker 10 (27:51):
I will get the little brushes, and she hates that
I take so long to clean my car.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
That's not really what she said, but bree can probably clarify.
Does that qualify?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
I don't think so.

Speaker 11 (28:00):
Not exactly what I said, But I mean he's still
cleaning anything, so I said chords around.

Speaker 9 (28:06):
Yeah that counts.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I mean yeah. I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 10 (28:09):
I like to take my time and I like to
get things right.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Oh dude, go over clean my house any day.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
It's kind of similar, but it's still different, Tim. What
is Breeze's sassiness level on a scale of one to ten?

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Careful like a nine and a half.

Speaker 10 (28:26):
Whoa, she's the sassiest woman.

Speaker 7 (28:29):
I know.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
That is not what she said nine and a half.

Speaker 11 (28:33):
I'll show you sassy dude, it on.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
She's really she said she's a six. She's a six
on the sassy scale.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
Yeah, she wishes.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
She doesn't sound sassy to me. She's not lighting you
up for any of these here. All right, what's a
show that's your go to show? Both of you together?
Like if she watches it without you, you'll you'd be
pretty upset.

Speaker 10 (28:55):
Oh man, all right, Chris, I please don't judge me,
but Virgin River that show is so good.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Well I'm judging on the inside, and I'm judging that
you know your shows, dude.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
That's what she said.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Nice job, good job, dude.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
So what two out of five? Not the best, not
the worst. You know, you guys have been married what
eleven years?

Speaker 2 (29:18):

Speaker 5 (32:13):
Yeah, she's only got ten minutes and twenty one seconds
now less than that. It's six six win K one
o two to call us.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
But that's only for bar right now, So hold tight
you guys, all right, real quick, let's go through this
because listen, if you can't say it can't live here.
That goes from Minnesota and Wisconsin, and you guys are
walking on talkback too.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
By the way, it's how you pronounce city names. Minnesota
and Wisconsin are notorious for having city names that are
tough to pronounce, and there's a lot here in Minnesota.
I saw it a lot when I was traveling around
as a kid. We would show horses in southern states
like Oklahoma and places around there, and they can never
pronounce places like Orno or anything.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
We used to pronounce oh Rono really.

Speaker 5 (32:54):
Yes, yes, they say, oh no, I'd be Sam Sans
from oh Rono, Minnesota. And there's so many different cities
like that, And it's funny because there's so many around Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Modamda is my favorite. I mean, that's that's kind of
the old standby around You're a great school district.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
By the way, your modemeda is just kicking ass?

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Or why is that?

Speaker 5 (33:15):
I've made it my personal mission to convince any out
of town or that I meet that it's pronounced way
zada oh.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
I always said, was it hall.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
That makes it sound so fancy? Or hall.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Hamlin menominee, that's another one, Shakapie. That's another one.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
I lived in chan Hassen and some people call it
chan Hassen and they lived there their whole life chan Hassen.
But it's chan Hassen. But they call it Chanhassen.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
They're giving it.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
They put a stronger huh humping.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
No, they're putting into it.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
They call it chan Hassen. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
So in Wisconsin, green Bay, a lot of people have
the announcers called green Bay, and people in green Bay
call it green Bay, but it's green Bay.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Yeah, it's really weird.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
You're you're really focused on like the the denunciation.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeahs, I'm talking super simple names, right.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
But there are a lot of Minnesota towns, but I
will say I think there's even more Wisconsin towns that
are super hard to pronounce. Because we put this up
on the Chris Carr and Company Facebook page and you
can see all the different city names that people have
said are hard to pronounce and the Wisconsin ones that people.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Have put in here. I can't pronounce these things.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
What what is the Milwaukee?

Speaker 4 (34:24):
I don't even understand how to pronounce these Like way
you Wiga? What is that Yuega?

Speaker 5 (34:29):
I think sokuna. I can't pronounce dana kakana.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Yeah, there's a racetrack over there. It's the only reason
I know that. I think they make a sausage too.
They always make sausage, sheboygan, even.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
At least sheboygan. I feel like you hear more.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
See it looks like it's like it's written yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Yes, but I don't what is the one that?

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Did you already say Milwaukee?

Speaker 4 (34:56):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (34:57):
I think that's it. It's it, it's a it's a
Native American name.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
It totally yes, no, and it's and we have a
lot of different cities that have similar origins for their names.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
But I don't know. Wisconsin is just going a little over.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
But if you want to throw some on Facebook yourself,
then we encourage you to throw them on there. Then
we'll try to pronounce them later if you want to,
you know, like if you're from Wisconsin. I mean, we
probably do worse at those than we would the Minnesota ones.
I think i'd probably get all the Minnesota ones right.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
A really popular one even for Minnesotans like long time
lifelong Minnesotas is Fairbaw And I hear people mispronounced fair
ball all the time, and the only reason I know
how to pronounce it is because that's where Donny was.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Green House is Fairbo they called it what they don't
go fairbolt. A lot of people go fairball in Minnesota. Yes,
you can't do that. They need to be exported.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
I think I have family members that say fair Bolt.

Speaker 10 (35:44):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Maple Grove isn't in my family, it's not maple Grove.
What is that landin since ever since he was a
little pea pod, he calls it maple Grove.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
I mean, we have all those restaurants in Maple Grove.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Well add to a Chris County company Facebook page, some
people have some issues pronouncing certain pronouncing certain towns in
Minnesota and Wisconsin. Throw them up there and we'll, you know,
put us to the test if you would, aren't you guys?

Speaker 2 (36:14):
We're waiting for Barb Petersson to call us.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
In the meantime get ready with his number not yet
eight sixty six to win cabble two, Barb Scott, what
about two songs to be on the clock here before
we play minute to win it? Worth one thousand dollars
from the Wells Shire's Tracy Burns.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
We are just itching to give away one thousand dollars, so.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
It it's town to play play really scratching.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
I don't know. I just want to make somebody happy.
So is this Barb Peterson.

Speaker 11 (36:49):
One and only? Or maybe not one and only?

Speaker 2 (36:51):
But yep, it's me, Barb, longtime listener. I love you, Yes,
I love you guys too well. Thanks for all the
support over the years.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
All right, now, we just have a few rules to
go for this thousand bucks here, okay, and Sam's gonna
rattle them off, and then we're gonna get to it.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
We're gonna make you a thousand air Here we go, all.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Right, Barb, here's the rules.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
You're gonna have one minute to correctly answer ten questions
to win one thousand dollars thanks to the Wellshire. Don't
be on speakerphone. If you get stuck, you can say
passed to move on to the next question. If time allows.
The ones that you pass on are going to pop
up again later for you to answer. If your call drops,
you're out And when you say I'm ready, the clock
is going to start.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
Do you understand those rules?

Speaker 9 (37:28):
I do understand it, and I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Right now, like you're ready right now I'm ready, Here
we go. What's the name of the star closest to Earth.

Speaker 9 (37:40):
Mercury?

Speaker 1 (37:41):
No Venus, no Mars, no Jupiter, satur and you're in
a neptune no path the sun?

Speaker 4 (37:48):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (37:49):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Who was the first person to walk on the moon?

Speaker 7 (37:55):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (37:55):
God?

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Pass what's the name of the evil lion in the
Lion King?

Speaker 7 (38:06):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (38:06):
