Speaker 1 (00:00):
Straight from Pakistan to La to US and my friend

(00:02):
Cherry's on was some Cherry, how you doing?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (00:06):
It was the last time we saw each other. Oh
last year.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
It was last year sometime you were on tour and
ride the scientists and you shut it down. So uh
and now you're back. You got this new song out.
Before we continue, I got to give you your flowers one.
I've always loved your music. And then when I met you,
you were sweetheart, you and your team, and then I
saw you perform and you bro you sound just like
your records live.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
And then thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
And then do you remember that show your your mic piece,
your ear piece wasn't working, and then but you you
held it down like a pro.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
No one was able to tell you anything.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Really, Oh oh I think I do remember that.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
That was actually the day that my that was the
last time my earpiece like went out, like yes, it
had been trying to go out.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Every other show, like a couple of shows before.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
That was the day I was like, hold on you guys,
and I had to just completely take it out.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
But yes, thank you for comedy laughing at no problem.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Because when we talked afterwards, I was like, oh, So
did your earpiece end up working?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
You're like, nah, it just went out.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I just ran with it, and I could tell that
one note that you hit and you saw the crowd's reaction,
You're like, oh, yeah, your girl got it.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I was probably like, thank you God, Oh my God.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Now I became a huge fan after that whole that show,
the time you came by the studio and everything, and
now you're back, just like me. A self love song
about yeah, you know, just that you love yourself and
you're gonna try to find yourself.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, something like that. You know, I'm an air.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
So how's everything going?

Speaker 6 (01:32):
Man, it's been crazy. I woke up today in like
cold sweats, like what day is it?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Where am I? What time is it?

Speaker 5 (01:38):
I feel like everything's happening really fast, and yeah, it's
just amazing to see, like all your hard work. It
takes so much to get to wow, to prepare a
song to come out, Like we shot a video, we
did all these live performances, the mixing, the mastering, the recording,
the label meeting. So it's like when it finally comes out,

(01:58):
you're like God, and now it's just up for the
world to decide if they like it.

Speaker 6 (02:03):
Or not.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
But yeah, no, you're getting good. You're getting great feedback
on it. I feel like R and B is you know.
I mean you're from Toronto, so R and B has
always been part of your blood out there, but in
the US and it goes up, you know, has their
flows and stuff like that. But I feel like R
and B this year is going to be a real
It's gonna be a real movement. It ended last year
with a lot of R and B, but I feel

(02:24):
like this year is gonna be even bigger.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
Man Yeah, I agree, And I'm just excited because I
feel like I bring such a different sound to R
and B.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
And like it's almost like now that I have.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
A second drop right after popping Out, and they're so
their own vibe, people are like, oh okay, like I
know what a cherry song is going to sound like.
So I just feel excited to be a part of
it and bring my own little Toronto spice to it.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
No, I love it and popping out, Bro, that record
could come back.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
We need to bring that one back because that's my
favorite tune off all your stuff. I mean, you got
a lot of records, You've got favorite girl. That was
a great record the falls call Me, but popping out
every time that comes out. I still rock that in
the clubs. That is a fun record. We need to
we need to readdress that one. When Cherry starts really
popping popping, for sure, she.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Needs like a music video remached. She needs to be
like resurrected for sure.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
For sure she's gonna have for a moment. I can
feel it, yes, man.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
And that's a great thing about the music that you
could tell like older songs come back and your boy
Weekend did it like four of those records already where
songs from like four years ago started popping out again,
like last year and the year before, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Songs from like ten years ago from his first project.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
I feel like people like in especially at concerts and stuff,
they go crazy for it.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
So I feel like your earlier work, your earlier work
is usually your best. You're just not discovered yet.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
So when people finally discover you, when they go back
and hear your older stuff, they're like, Wow, that was
a classic, and that's just how it goes.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
But now I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Right Cherry twenty two is on right now, and even
with the exo stamp Man I mean, I see you working, man,
and I know that stamp is there, but man, you
you you go in hard.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
I'm like their little queen. I'm like that ex so queen.
So no, I love being a part of it. I
feel like I come in with a built in family
and I'm lucky. I'm really really lucky to have that.
And they don't play about me, so I love them.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
They love me. They're on my they're on.

Speaker 6 (04:20):
My body about releasing stuff, like you're taking too long.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I'm like, I'm coming, I'm trying.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Wow, Okay, yeah, no, BUTO.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
And what I was saying what I mean is like
with the stamp, like that, you you would see a
lot of artists kind of start falling back a little
bit and going, oh, I'm part of XO.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Now I'm good.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
But you're going hard, just like if you weren't with
XO and you don't have that stamp. That's that's what
I love about when I watch you and how hard
you go.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
Yeah, I mean, I want to be I want to
be one of the biggest artists ever, and it's a
lot of hard work to be to be.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
At that level.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
So I'm just more inspired and when I see someone
so close to me, that's so successful, that works so hard,
like does not sleep like till the day his album
is literally.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Like coming out, like why would I sleep? You know
what I mean? Like, who do I think I am? Like,
I have my ten thousand hours to put in, so
got it? We work hard over here.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
You definitely do work hard. And are we are we
looking at some acting too? Because that Cry for Me video,
girl got tears, you got blood coming at your eyes.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
That that that passion, you can feel that passion in there?
Are we doing acting?

Speaker 3 (05:27):
I would love one hundred It's so funny.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
The person who directed it directed that movie and Noura
and he asked me, He's like.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Have you ever acted before? And I was like, no,
he because you should. I'm like, I want to, so
definitely in the future. Listen White Lotus call me.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Right before you call me.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I love it all right, Well we got to see
we got this new song, y'all just like me right now,
you're going up back on the road.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Now you're going on the road with flow.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yes, I've I've joined a girl group. I'm kidding no,
but those girls are.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
Those girls are and they're a vibe and they're just
ready to have on. They're like, Cheerry, We're gonna party
every night. I'm like, oh my god, what if I
done to myself?

Speaker 3 (06:08):
So no, we're gonna We're gonna have a time.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
And they're really sweet, so I'm excited and their fan
base is fire, so right, I think it's gonna be
at the tour.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
I saw all the dates. Man, you're definitely gonna be
on the road.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
And are we gonna see you pop out at a
couple of these big stadium runs with your boy because.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
You know, you know, you know that stadium run. I
don't know. Are we gonna let some secrets out of
the bag? Are we gonna let it out of the bag.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
You'll just have to wait and see. I might just
run on stage unexpectedly. Who knows.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, I could definitely see that happening too, So be
ready for that too. I'm sure that's gonna I'm sure
that call's coming.
