Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (00:01):
My friend Tonache is on the line. Album is out
right now on Quantum Baby with subs.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (00:06):
How are you great? Congratulations it's out.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Thank you so much. I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
I see that girl. You've been working man.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I love the title too Mat, because I feel like
the last few years, a few years of your life
has definitely been on some no new friends, positive energy.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Totally. Yeah, absolutely. I mean I feel just so empowered
in who I am and in my artistry, and I
feel like I'm really coming into my own. I feel
like this album really reflects that and kind of shows
off all those sides in me, like classic Tiinaci, but
also set's have grown and evolved Tinache as well. So
I hope that everyone loves it. Well.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
You definitely talk about growth, man.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I mean we've been together for a long time now,
and you always stick with your gut when it comes
to your songs, like too on, Remember how long we
worked that record to like Nope, we're sticking with it.
We're sticking with it, and even with Nasty Bro. We
started playing that Matt early and then all of a sudden,
you know, it started connecting. But a lot of people
(01:04):
don't do that anymore. So I'm so glad you do that.
What takes that in you to keep pushing on?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, I mean I think I got that famina. You know.
I feel like, you know, just being in this industry.
You know, you're it's long games. This industry has so
many ups and downs. You got to focus on long game.
You got to focus on your legacy, you know. But
I think those are the important things as an artist,
you know, just knowing that there will be ups and downs.
It is an adventure, and you know, just sticking it out,
(01:31):
not getting too caught up in the day to day
little things that make you feel like, you know, this
is successful and this is not successful. Just have that
tunnel vision, right.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
And you know, on the other side of it, from
the radio perspective of it. I love that you do
that because then these songs become recurrence and we played
for a long time, whereas these these other songs that
come and go, and you're like going back to the
old records from Tanash, from Drake, from Chris Brown. You know,
like it just goes back to these older records and
there's nothing fresh in you anymore. Because people don't stick
with records like you just did with Nasty So good job.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, we love we love some staying power over here.
I'm happy about that.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Well, talk about getting no sleep.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
On this album Met You, you talk a lot about growth,
and you're definitely being a little bit more. I know
it's an art, but you know, the freaky side of
you is definitely coming out in this in this album
with the Red Flags, with no broke boys, bro You're
like you're telling everybody exactly what it is.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yes, exactly. I think I'm just empowered, you know. I
feel just so confident and like grown and like in
my element, and I feel like so the songs kind
of reflect that confident energy, you know.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
And getting no Sleep you haven't line in there says
I look better all natural. I love that you say
that because we've always said that behind the scenes out
how you've like obviously you know you're a beautiful girl,
but like you never really did a lot more outside
of just being a natural beauty. And I think a
lot of yeah, come to.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
That, thank you. Yeah, I felt you know, especially I
feel in the last I don't know a decade or so,
there's been so much pressure, you know, to change ourselves
to conform, whether it's plastic series or whether it be
editing photos online. It really is something that you know,
I've taken a lot of pride in hopefully being someone
who can be a good example for like young girls
to just like be yourself, like enjoy your what makes
(03:16):
you you, own your body, own your face, like that's
all what makes you special and different. And you know
I'm keeping natural yep.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
And your actual blessed anyway, so it's a little easier
for you. But yes, I get your message.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
You're enough, fair enough, thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Tonashi's quad of Baby's out right now. No broke boys. Okay,
that's gonna be an anthem. I feel like that's gonna
be a lady's anthem. Why are you doing to the
soul the films?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
You know, I don't know. We're just keeping it real
as twenty twenty four. We ain't got to start for
any brokies around here, you know, or just you know,
we have our standards, we got our boundaries. It is
what it is. This economy is putting us to this point.
You know, I just wanted to give kind of like
a note of the energy twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I love it but for okay, so I'm regularly Okay,
I get a person works at a bank at you know,
a regular job and stuff. But now, for Tanash, a
guy's not gonna be able to match up your money sometimes,
like not a regular guy.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
At least she said it could be broke. It could
be broke spiritually, you could be broke mentally. You can
have a broke mentality. So I feel like there's a
lot of other ways that you could be broke, or
you could be rich. You know, it's all kind of
just about your sweat.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
To Nasha's on right now, Quanta, baby broke go, We're
gonna be together in next couple of days. I'm gonna
see you like three times in the next month again,
I think, and wait, I love it all right? Which
one you want to get into? Are we getting too
red flags? No broke boys? I mean we've been banging
the hell out of nasty who So, which.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
One you want to do right now?
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I feel like the people want to hear no broke boys,
go for it, make it happen. Okay, this is my
new banger. No broke boys, Lady.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
No broken say.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yes, no broke boys to Nash is on right, now
I have to get you on Quack the albums out.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Congratulations on everything. I will see you soon. But before
we get out of here, I have to give you.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I give you a lot of props on a lot
of things, but I love how you handle yourself in
the industry. Girl, You've been through ups and downs and
you fought through it all. So congratulations and all that.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I really appreciate it. Touch talk. I will see you soon.
I'm excited to.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
