Speaker 1 (00:00):
Straight from Pakistan, Ta La to Boston. It's your boy,
DJ pub Dot holding it down on the line right now,
funny guy, Tony rock He's gonna be out here at
the Wang Box Center, going down this Friday with Suthing Tony.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
When was the last time you're out here?
Speaker 3 (00:10):
You know, I haven't been in Boston in a long time. Man,
last time I was in Boston I actually came out for.
Speaker 4 (00:14):
A basketball game.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Nice you remember the game?
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Yeah, with the nets was playing the Celtics.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Got it? And were you actually rooting for the Celtics
at that time or no, you're I.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Was absolutely never rooting for the Celtics in my life.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
You gonna have to do that now we're champions.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Now I'll think about it. I'll give you some thought.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Oh man, Tony Rocky's gonna be out here, Bro, I've
never seen you live. Man, I've seen some more and
uh no, I haven't seen you or level. So I'm
looking forward to this, man.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Oh good good.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
I know it's gonna be quite a few people in
the room that haven't seen me either ever or in
a very long time. So I'm looking forward to coming
out there, you know, reminding people that.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
The kid got some skills right now, You guys got
a lot of AMMO right now. There's a lot happening
with the presidential stuff, with everything with Diddy, with everything
happening in the world.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
How far do you go with this?
Speaker 3 (01:00):
It's too much stuff to talk about in one set,
Like it's you know, it's Lavelle on the show, Somorrow's
on the show, Tony Robinson the show, myself. None of
us are gonna have enough time to address all the
stuff that's going on in the world.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
And then how do you guys when it comes to that,
do you guys like get together and like obviously you
guys are all gonna be talking about similar things.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yeah, I'm checking when I get there. I'm checking with everybody. Yo,
Are you doing Trump because I'm doing Trump? Are you
doing Solve because I'm doing So I'll structure it based
on what they're doing, but I'll have something for everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
On a tour like this, Do you like staying the
night or I see you're gonna be somewhere else the
following day on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
No, the next day, I'm in Atlantic City.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Oh you're in Atlantic City?
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Okay, So what's what's like the prep for you. You
go around to get more material while you're in the city.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Well, that would be a trade secret, but I will
share it with you. I'll find out what's going on
in that city, maybe a week before. What's the big
story a week before? Okay, So when I get there
and I talk about it, I know everybody knows what
I'm talking about, and I got a nice little joke
about it. I'll open with that and everybody's like, oh wow,
he actually knows about us.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
But that makes you people.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
In the audience feel like I did my due diligence
with their city.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, but that's because you care, right, a lot of people.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
I mean absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Man.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I love it, man, I'll look you forward to it.
I think laughs is always what we need. I feel
like the world of social media, there's a lot of
comedians out there, but there's a time and place for comedy,
you know.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
What I mean.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Like it's the last place in the world where you
can just talk freely and laugh freely amongst your friends.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
So talking freely is very important.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
But the fact that you get to sit there and
you can, you know, show your support for what the
comic is saying about with laughter or an applause or yeah,
I agree with that. It's the last place because if
you agree with some of the stuff we said in
any other forum, you would be in trouble.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
You'd be called to HR.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Right.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Do you get nervous about like cancel culture after the fact,
because it doesn't just stay in the comedy room anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
I do not Cancel culture is not a real thing.
That's something that people made up because they want me attention.
They'll say, hey, they trying to cancel me to get attention.
Canceled culture is not a real thing. Anybody that said
they're being canceled, we saw more of them after they
said that than we did before.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
It's a floyd attention. Kanye said he was getting canceled.
We have seen so much Kanye since then. We are
sick of Kanye now.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Tony Rox here right now, real quick, before we get
you out of here. I know you gotta you're about
to have your flight with your whole family being entertainment
and comedians and everything like that. What's Thanksgiving like for you, guys, man?
What's what's that gathering when you got together?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
It's the best. It's the best Thanksgiving ever. I keep
telling my siblings. And I say this a lot in interviews.
I keep telling my siblings. One year, I'm gonna put
cameras up in the house and I'm not gonna tell them,
and I'm gonna record Thanksgiving, okay, and then I'm gonna
sell it to to B're gonna we're gonna break the internet.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Okay, So you wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
You wouldn't get your permission, You wouldn't get Famili's permission.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
You just do it.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
No, no, you got it.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
You can't have permission because then they're gonna get dressed
and get their hair done and make up and all
that stuff. I want them to be in their purest
rawst since okay, falking free reach. Okay, I'm gonna sell
it to and we're gonna break the internet, all right?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
What about it?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
What about a structured program like your brother did when
he had about his growing up?
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Everybody hates Chris, Yeah, we just thought it. Everybody hates
Chris cartoon. So I'll be coming soon.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Okay, Now everybody's gonna be in that.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
No, just me, just okays, I love me again, me again.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
So now do you have to talk to anybody about that?
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (04:12):
My siblings.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, like about Hey, we're going I'm gonna bring up
this stuff from our childhood.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah. Yeah, no.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
We always we have a conference call and we talk
about stories and then the writers will be fun the
call with us.
