we're doing really good and we hear some big things
are happening with the Rotary Club of Winchester. What the
heck is this new thing? The International Affair of Food

Speaker 3 (00:50):
It's I think this is our eleventh year of doing this.
We've been doing it like every other year. But it's
a a wonderful event that benefits a nonprofit in our area.
And this year we are UH supporting nw Works, whom
everybody knows helps to empower people with disabilities in our
(01:10):
community and the independence and jobs and all the good things,
and so we this affair? Does that sound fun?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
It does?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
It is a wine and food tasting event. You we
have wines from about six countries, like you'll taste test
wines from Australia and the US, France, Italy, Spain, and
they're paired with food that's a local chef has prepared
(01:46):
to go around that wine.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I'm sold, I sold.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Chef from UH Savor by Crush, Cafe del Soul, Bonnie
Blue Laberge, the Senator find chocolate and.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I'm missing one more. The chefs are doing wonderful little
small plates, so they just kind of eat and taste
wine throughout the evening.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Take my money.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah yeah, But we have a wonderful silent auction with
great stuff, and we also have a wine pull, which
is kind of fun. You buy a cork and that
cork corresponds to a number on the bottom.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Of a bottle of wine.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
That bottle of wine is covered up, so you don't
know what you're getting, but we can guarantee you it's
going to have a value of twenty five dollars of more.
And there's some wines in there that are fifty plus
ten dollars and more. It sounds really it is, it
really is. We'll have some nice music, great way to
sit and relax and taste wines that you may never
(02:47):
have an opportunity to do, and talk to the samelier
about the wine, and then of course our chefs. So
we're just really blessed that we have the support of
these wonderful restaurants that are going to go above and
beyond to create some real special little dishes.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
So this is all go along with these twoty This
is on the twenty seventh right, which is a Thursday night.
Speaker 3 (03:11):

on off Route fifty west Old Firehouse Road.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Old Brownhill Fire Company used to be. Yeah, it's really
a beautiful place and it's just a fun, casual kind
of evening with a different twist.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
