Mikos and she is with the Alzheimer'sAssociation. It's their annual Walk to End
Alzheimer's coming up. When good morning? By the way, first, let

Hi, Chris, thank you somuch for having me. So the walk

is going to be September thirtieth thisyear in Winchester at the Museum of the
Shenandoah Valley. What a great placeto do it too. Those trails are
beautiful. What is the Walk toEnd Alzheimer's? Seleni? The Walk to
End Alzheimer's is the world's largest eventto raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care,

support and research. The walks aretaking place in more than six hundred
communities across the country and Karen Winchester, our volunteer committee, has been working
so hard to make this year's walkreally special for the entire family, and
our goal is to foster community buildingwithin Winchester and a safe space for families

to feel supported. So you dorace funds and what do those funds go
for? So? Funds race throughthe walk help the Alzheimer's Association to provide
free programs and services to people inour community affected by Alzheimer's. We have
a nationwide helpline that families can callin their support groups, education programs,

and then also the funds help theAlzheimer's Association do research and the goal is
to have a cure for Alzheimer's.So tell me about the day of the
walk. It happens at the mSvon the trails, and I think folks
have to show up around nine,isn't that right? Yes, that's correct.
Registration opens at nine, We havea welcome and promise garden ceremony begins

at ten, and then we walkimmediately after that ceremony. Now, if
people to join, they want tojoin up and sign up for the walk
to end Alzheimer's, how do theydo that? You can go online right
now if you want to pre register, start a team, or just get

Yes, we have over twenty teamsright now. Participants volunteers, but we
are always looking for more if youwant to participate in any way, the
planning committee is always looking for volunteersand we would love to have you come

out. And your goal this yearis I heard sixty thousand dollars. Is
that right? Sixty thousand dollars.That's right, love it. I hope
you hit every single penny of that. That's amazing. So again, this
