Green Flags a workplace is healthy. For example, flexibility, room to grow, communication and a safe place to speak up.

The new "hot girl walk' is 'dilly-dallying. Back in the day it was a negative thing to take that intentional time for yourself to chill out, decompress, explore, and see where the wind takes you. But now it’s positive and trendy.

Coffee nap:
  • When the afternoon slump hits, a little caffeine can help, but a coffee nap may be even better.
  • It’s when you drink coffee just before a short nap and experts say it can be more effective than either coffee or napping alone.
  • The key is timing it right by drinking coffee, then snoozing for about 20 minutes, the amount of time it takes caffeine to kick in, that way you wake up with a double shot of energy.

Second Date Update: Jacob and Katherine go out for the first time. But there was one thing he would not stop talking about which caused her to dip out.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Lola Young. That's the clean version. By the way, what
does that mean? How dirty is that song? Is filthy
if you're listening to the e explicit version. My sister
when we did a road trip, she was jamming out
to the whole album. Oh wow, she goes, you play
this on the radio, how I go, Well, we do
have our own cuts. Yeah, the good one is called

(00:20):
messy star one on one three.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
It's funny you say that because I didn't realize that
this one song that samples Gotier's somebody I used to know.
It's my anxiety as anxiety. I thought that was just
like a meme. I didn't realize that was.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
A whole song.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
That's how they bust songs. Now, besides the radio, they
do it on social media. There are so many songs
that that start out on TikTok Now.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I mean, I will always go back to this one.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
That's not a song.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
It is a song though it's ax left, It's.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Marcus and Corey. Good morning, it's Friday.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Did you see the moon on your way in?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I did not. I missed it.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yesterday was fierce, it was really bright. I do love that.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
I love when you look over the Moon's kind of
yellow cheese. It's pretty neat. How was your day yesterday?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
It was good. What did I do yesterday? Oh, it's
a chiropractor.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Did a little crack crack, always good, nudge nudge, And
then my husband came home and he did a coffee
tasting at work. He's soups Adorbs because he worked at
Starbucks for a while, the headquarters in Seattle, and so
he got all his coffee knowledge, and so at the
places he's worked since then, he'll do coffee tastings.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Oh he actually orchestrated the tasting.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Uh huh oh.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
And then he'll bring in pastries as well, so you.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Don't see that coming with the Jeff. He does not
look like, oh, you've got pastries too.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
So I got a chocolate I saw it this morning,
left over from his coffee tasting.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Y Oh that's cool.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah. I accidentally tapped out on life yesterday.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
It's a long day. So we did the show that,
we did some social media, and then I had a
zoom meeting with an editor about my podcast. He's in
the Philippines, So then we started drinking a little tequila
and then I got home. Were you I was at
my buddy's house, okay, taking a zoom call. And then
I got home and I was like, I gotta lay
down for a second, and I forgot to set an alarm.

(02:31):
So I woke up with fifteen minutes to go before dinner,
no plan, nothing cooked. He lost time, and I was like, oh,
and my daughter said the magic words. She goes, Daddy,
I'll take the I'll take the so we I got
stuff at the local restaurant. My wife ordered her a thing,
and then my daughter goes, I'll take the kid's grilled

(02:51):
cheese sandwich. And my daughter's like full grown now because
she'll either take the thirty dollars Ahi tunea poke or
the nine dollars cheese sandwich. And I'm so cheap now.
When she says kids menu, I'm like, thank god, thank
god we're still there.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Go wrong with a grilled cheese? No, you really can't
have you introduced her to the grilled cheese and the
a one saucome.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
No, why would I do that. It's trash.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
It's not trash.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
It's Corey's favorite move.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Dude. You don't know, you don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
All right, six o'clock. Lots going on today, lots of
tickets for you to win. We have a couple of
different shows coming to the Concord Pavilion for their fiftieth
anniversary this year. Tell you all about that in a
sec And man, of course, that four pack of tickets
the two day admission tickets for Sea World San Diego.
On the way seven thirty five, we are going to
do a talkback for tickets to stay with us. More

(03:40):
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today. It's
Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey Friday morning,
Good morning, how was your week? The reason I asked yeah,
says they're reading an article about green flags at work.
We always talk about red flags when something is wrong
or bad or should be avoided, and green flags when
something is awesome. The runway is clear. These are signs

(04:00):
that you're fit. You like my metaphors, I do, signs
that your workplace is full of green flags. Okay, I'm
gonna start with the hardest one that I think is
to accomplish leadership that communicates a love, that addressing concerns
of workers being accessible and transparent. For me, I was
a boss for ten seconds. I was terrible at it.

(04:20):
Being transparent was the toughest thing. And I think because
when I was you're a first time boss, you have
in what's called a imposts syndrome. Yeah, you think to yourself,
I don't know what I'm doing. I'm in this position.
I'm learning as I go and people are going to
find out.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah, I can see that. I've been asked before, why have.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
You never tried to be a boss, a boss or
an assistant boss or any sort of manager type role.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
And I'm like, I don't want that responsibility. No, yeah,
I like what I do.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
I like talking about stuff and making people laugh and
hanging out, and I don't want any responsibility.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I'm so lame. I always say, you know, I used
to be in middle management and now I'm just an artiste.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
I literally say that. I can't believe I just admitted that.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
But when people ask me what I do for work,
I say, we talks back and we play music. I'm
an artist.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Yeah, I don't go for artists. I like that title
a lot on air personality.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
But being a boss is difficult because I always this
is terrible. But if I'm being honest, I used to
always equate it to dealing with other people's problems.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Yeah, and that's.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Not really the way you should look at it. You
should be a leader with a vision. And I was
door is always open. Yeah, my door is always open.
And I was just always afraid people were going to
figure out I didn't know what I was doing, and
so I would be very closed, frightened. My answers were
very measured, Like I have to commend our boss Travis
if this is his first time in that position, and

(05:46):
he's very honest about it.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
But he's having a blast.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I admire that he's the first one to say, look,
we don't know necessarily what we're doing, but we're going
to figure it out.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Not in that way and say like that, but like, no,
we're going to do our best to figure out how
to do things.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
All right, what's another green flag?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Another green flag at work? Clear path for growth? Okay,
you have a solid understanding of how to earn a promotion,
earn some more money. Where are my career opportunities? Where
am I going?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
My husband focuses on that, and I'm trash because I've
moved him so many times for my job that you know,
he wants to get ahead at work.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
And then I'm like Hey, we got to move. Then
he has to go explain why he has to leave.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, I hope that doesn't happen here, So do I trustee?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Is your work a safe space to speak up? I
think so.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Data shows that seventy seven percent of workers have witnessed
some kind of discrimination in the workplace. Thirty percent don't
feel comfortable speaking up to report said incident to HR
because of their fearing retaliation, which obviously is against the
law in state of California.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
I don't like that at all, but I do feel
like as long as you feel like you're in a
safe space.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Cory and I are discussing green flags at work. Here's
another good one. Flexibility. So whether it's allowing you to
work remotely or flexible hours, or even just understanding when
you have a sick kid that needs to be picked
up from school, I have to fly out suddenly to
go see my mother. She's not in great health. I
emailed our boss and Corey a couple of days ago,
and he hit me back immediately and said, let's do this.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
I didn't even hesitate.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I remember there was one night, it was like two
in the morning, and I was having a crazy panic attack,
and I remember texting you and just going I can't,
I can't, and you were like you do. You take
care of yourself and I appreciate that more than you know.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Health is number one. Come back strong, but take the
day anyway, workplace green flags there you go over from
the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's Star one
on one three, it's Marcus and Corey Friday morning, Good morning,
good morning, move over, hot girl walk? Bring in the
new trend called dilly dally ing.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Where did the hot girl walk start?

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Don't ask me these questions. Okay, it's like a way
somebody correct me. Please, I am not a hot girl. However,
I believe hot girl means like walking with confidence, walking
with style, walking like you mean it. That makes sense,
like you're on a runway to instill confidence. Okay, So
dilly dallying, I guess could be sort of the opposite.

(08:13):
This lady who calls herself a mental health professional says
it's a positive trendy way to decompress, chill and explore
and see where the wind takes you.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Now, normally, when you.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Say dilly dilling to me, that sounds like somebody who's
just wasting time.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yes, that's exactly what the actual definition is. She's being
a proponent of just slowing down, which I get that.
My only thing is I feel like we're creating a
society or a vibe where we take every excuse just
to take a break, to be lazy. I don't want
to say lazy, but it feels like sometimes someone work
for ten minutes and then take an hour off.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Well, that's what happened to one of my friends during
the pandemic. So I'll work for twenty minutes and then
I'll go in the garden. I'll work for twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
I'm the last.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Person that you need to tell the dilly dally, I
need to stay motivated. Trend. Where's the sometimes you have
to suck it up and play through trend?

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Billy appreciate the whole self care shut, but I think
sometimes we're just giving ourselves an excuse to just not
do anything.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yes, which is okay as long as you have purpose,
Like there are actual concepts.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
I think in Norway it's called hookah.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
This is where you actively get on the couch, actively
read your book, actively cuttle under a blanket. Where is
this in Scandinavian countries? I'm going there right now, and
it's part of self care.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
The Scottish have a term I love called herkle durkling.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
What's that? Literally laying around and bedded doing nothing.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
I'm going there. I'm so going there. The concept of
what is this again, oh dilly dallying.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
My favorite word is futzing.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
My wife calls me a championship futzer.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
What is that?

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Just just wasting time doing what?

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Though? So it's an abbreviation of a Yiddish word arhum fartzen,
which literally trans leads to farting around?

Speaker 3 (10:01):
What are you playing? Video games?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Are spending way too much time doing absolutely nothing, but
in an aimless way. It's the only way I can
describe it.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
I just don't think we need another concept like dilly dallying.
I need a little speedy, speedy, little pep in the steps.
Got fine. If I went home and went, oh, babe,
I'm just dilly dalllying, she'd be like.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Really, she didn't punch you right in the face.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Dilly dallying is the new hot girl walk.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
You're welcome. This is what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
It's what's trending on Star, what's happening in entertainment news,
the biggest stories of the.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Day, and everything people are talking about today.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
In the bay they're writing together because she has no car.
Car my favorite answer ever. All right, let's get into it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Weight Watchers is filing for bankruptcy over the next few months.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
It launched in nineteen sixty three.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Yeah, the health and wellness companies working with lenders and
bondholders on restructuring. And you know one of the reasons
that they are having problems, Oh, zampense, these weight loss drugs.
Everybody's taken the quick way out.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
You don't have to work for it anymore.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
You don't keep track of points. Just a little shot
right here.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
With with egg prices spiking again, many families are worried
about dying eggs for Easter, So the Pioneer Woman is
highlighting the idea of replacing eggs with marshmallows. So marshmallow
brand Jet Puffed, has released an Easter decorating kit and
it's selling really fast. Okay, it's jet Puffed dip and

(11:37):
decorate marshmallows. So you get a bag of those jumbo marshmallows,
six colors, three edible pens and two drizzles to decorate,
and then you get tongs and an egg crate to
store them.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
This is it Walmart wne. It sounds festive.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I mean, if you want to do something you don't
feel like paying for the eggs.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Did you ever do eggs?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Oh? Yeah, okay, we used to dye them and then
but then you just you make egg salad. Yeah, repurpose
as long as you don't do what Corey's family did
and then lose them in the living room.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Just one. There was six months the East Running would
come to my house and was very, very creative with
the hiding spaces. And it's Florida and it's warm, and
so if you don't find one and it sits in
the air vent for too long.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
What was your weirdest place you've ever found an egg fish? Dank?

Speaker 3 (12:30):
I think.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Windy's has teas that they're leveling up their Frosty's And
now we know how Frosty Swirls are going to be
available today Strawberry caramel brownie batter which you can add
to chocolate or vanilla Frosty's, so it's like a swirl,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
So check that out if you're a big Frosty fan.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Speaking of additions, legendary syrup company Trannie celebrating their one

so congratulations.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
They're gonna take it on the road stops in New York, Seattle, Austin, Phoenix.
So this is gonna be all this weekend on Powell

Ronnie nice work. Also, the Museum of Failure is opening
at Fisherman's Wharf this weekend. That should be very interestingly.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
These are just funny.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Devices and things that just didn't make the cut off
and their stories. There is the Cherry Blossom Festival going
on in Japantown, which is a fantastic place to get
some culture, get some awesome food. They have great like
like T shirts and things. I got the dopest T
shirt there one time. Something in the Tri Valley called
the Innovation Fair going on at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

(13:54):

Speaker 1 (14:37):
More Biety for the two thousands of the nineties and
today Star one on one three it's Marcus at Corey's
home once again for second date update everyone.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
That's when you go on a first date, you think
it was great, and then you don't hear from the
other person, and we try to figure out how to get.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
You a second date.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Jacob's on the phone. I feel like he's slightly sprung.
Uncle Catherine, Jacob, I hope you don't mind me saying,
but you seem very excited.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Yeah, because it's rare to meet somebody.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
It's like so amazing, like so close by, and sure,
you know, tell us how you met and then let
us know how the date went.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
So we met on Hinge and she was first of
all gorgeous. I mean, I love her black hair, right,
just we just matched up and you know, started exchanging messages,
all conversation and it's just it's just hitting it off.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
We both lived in.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
The North Bay, so it's like a perfect kind.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Of you know, local connection.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Sure, yeah, so we decided, you know what, let's just.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Do this and let's do it.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
So I asked her and she was like, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
So we went on a date.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
It went great. We actually met up for Italian in
Nevado and I just you know, I pulled the ball
that stops for her, just because she was kind of an.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Extra special girl. I could just tell, you know.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
She was like she was like sort of a special girl.
So I just wanted to impress her, and just like
flowed so seamlessly, and it's almost like we knew each
other for years.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
You end up feeling like when you meet somebody like
I know you like that.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Kind of thing. And I was just so ecstatic. And
then after the date, nothing.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Like nothing, nothing like, I haven't.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Heard from her.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
I texted her, I reached out to her, and it's.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Just like Ghostsville.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Okay, you know you've been listening to the show long enough,
you know how we do it. So we'll have you
on mute and we will reach out to Catherine ourselves
and see if we can get some answers. Okay, yeah,
that'd be great. All right here to help, Let's play
a song and then we'll hit her up. It's a
Second Date Update on Star one O one three. More
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's

(16:31):
Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We
are doing second Date update right now, talking to Jacob. Yeah,
Jacob is on the phone. Jacob a little, a little
sprung over Catherine. And my favorite part about this a
they both live in the North Bay, which it's difficult
to be that geographically desirable totally and also be Jacob
to your point earlier, the conversation just happened like it

(16:54):
was all good.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
It was easy, very let's just flowed.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
All right, she's ghosted. Let's call her and figure out why.
Go ahead and meet your phone and let's get started.
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Hello, Hi, may speak with Catherine? Please?

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, Hi, Katherine, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one
O one three.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Good morning, Catherine, Good morning. Do you do you listen
to Star one one three?

Speaker 4 (17:26):
I do sometimes.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Are you familiar with Second Date Update? Oh?

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Yeah, yeah?

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Okay, well you know what ridiculous?

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Are you cool with talking on the air with us?

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah? I mean I guess.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
That's very nice of you.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Since you know Second Date Update, then you know that
the person calling about you is on the phones.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Oh yes, so Jacob, Jacob go ahead and unmute.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Hi. I figured so Jacob digs you. Jacob would like
to go out again. We're here to try to broker
that deal. What are your thoughts?

Speaker 4 (17:59):
I wants to go on a date with himself?

Speaker 3 (18:02):
What does that mean?

Speaker 6 (18:04):
You know, I was so excited about going out with you,
but the inflated ego is not oh no, so you know,
I got I got to the restaurant first.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
I was really so excited. And then a few minutes
later I see him pull up in his car. I'm
only referencing this to say it'll come up later. We
said hi, like, we sat down, we started chatting like
it was going good. And after maybe five minutes, Jacob,
you felt the need to say, so you haven't mentioned

(18:37):
the car yet, and I'm like, what car? Like, apparently
his car is some like really expensive new electric AUTI
or something like. I'm not I barely paid attention and
he expected me to be impressed by it and I
could care less. So that was kind of like already
a little bit of a turn off. But you know,

(18:58):
I tried to change the subject and I was like, okay,
maybe he's nervous, you know.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Was it more of a hey, I just got this
new car and I'm excited it's it's electric, or was
it more like, hey, look how.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Expence that He was like why didn't you mention it?
And I'm like, for what, like you have a car?
Congratulations like it was And then so I'm like, okay,
let's let's talk about something else. Just to see like
if this is you know, if he's nervous, because it's
you know. And then so we started talking about pets
and he then somehow turns it back to him and

(19:31):
is like, do you like my shirt? It's Barbados, it
costs five hundred dollars.

Speaker 6 (19:36):
And then he's like, did you notice my belt?

Speaker 4 (19:39):
It's Farragamo. And I'm like, he's like nice, you know,
like like, and I'm just like what like he it
was like a it was like a bad date with
a girl, and it was just very clear what was
going on. You know, Jacob, I'm sorry. You're very full
of yourself. You're into, you know, really into material things,
and that's just not who I am. And and I'm

(20:02):
not gonna. I'm not going to give you what you need,
and you're definitely not gonna give me what I need.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Oh my goodness, well, Jacob, Jacob, I'm sensing a theme here, dude.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
I was okay.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
First of all, I was looking amazing, and she didn't say.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Oh my god, like I got ready for her. I
did the whole thing. And then I'm sorry, how are
you looking again? Wait?

Speaker 1 (20:21):
How are you looking?

Speaker 5 (20:23):
I was looking amazing, man, I was like put together.
I like, I dressed up for her, like and you
know this money doesn't fall three like I worked hard
and it's like it was just eating a man like
you know, dude, I'm not trying to be impressive. It's
just like it's an eighty thousand.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Dollars cars, it's not an eight hundreds like we live.
We live in a very affluent area. Like sorry, I've
seen way crazier cars and I don't care about cars
at all. Like it's not that crazy. But why do
you need me to tell you that? Like, let's say
I even thought that, which I didn't. Why do you
need for someone to tell you that that's so weird?

Speaker 3 (20:57):
It's not that weird. Like are you looking for somebody
with a horles and buggy? I mean, it's like I'm
trying to like to this joint.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
I would take it. I would take a horse and
buggy rather than go on another day with you.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
Honestly, all right, hang on, that went.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Well, it's the priorities are so bizarre.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Oh, I'm just gonna you know what, Thank god it's
the weekend. Yeah, second date update. We'll be back Monday
seven oh five. Of course, the replay at nine oh five.
If you want to catch up on all the past
phone calls. It does have its own podcast on the
iHeartRadio app you can you can binge listen. Easiest way
to do that is to subscribe to Marcus at Cory
second Date Update and then set a preset one touch

(21:37):
access so easy. More variety from the two thousands, the nineties,
and today it's Star one on one three It's Marcus
and Cory Friday morning, good morning Hello. If you get
a rough week, maybe you want to reset for next week.
The idea of the coffee nap makes sense.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
See this doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
They're calling it a buzzy new trend, but anybody in
the medical field knows all about the coffee really, because
you know, they pulled long shifts. Shout out to all
the doctors and nurses that are that are pulling twelve
hour shifts. The coffee nap means you down a bunch
of coffee and then you lay down with the idea
that the coffee takes twenty minutes to kick into your system.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Okay, and further, you only want to take a twenty
minute nap, correct.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
And that's the big caveat because the power nap such
a great concept, who can actually pull it off? I
failed miserably. Yesterday I got home and I laid down.
I was like, I was just gonna take a quick
take a quick nap. Fifty six minutes later, I was oh, drooling,
and just ten minutes to dinner. I had no plan

(22:39):
and no food and was like, oh, we're getting takeout
if you go.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Past twenty minutes, isn't it the difference between like a
rem sleep versus a I don't even know what they other.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
You're going past if they if you're going past fifteen
or twenty minutes. Experts suggest that you then just do
the full ninety so you can do a full cycle.
Otherwise you're gonna wake up groggy, paunch, drunk. But God,
who's got time to do a ninety minute nap?

Speaker 2 (23:08):
I used to I like when I was younger, I
used to do. I have a hard time napping now
because I will lay down in the afternoon and I
can't turn my brain off, so and then I just
get up.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
I'm like, I don't I can't sleep.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
For some reason. As I get older, I don't have
a problem just compartmentalizing and turning stuff off. I took them.
It was the most glorious nap yesterday. It was way
too long. But my downstairs area that I'm not allowed
to call a man cave, my all inclusive place base
at my house sure is so comfortable. And the futon
is comfortable. Boy, that was just a just a gorgeous
nap yesterday.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
I'm so jealous because I can't do it. Let's get
back to it.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
The coffee nap, so again. What you do is you
down your cup of coffee and then you lay down
for no more than twenty minutes, and in theory, you
pop up fresh as a daisy, ready to rock.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
It says that will leave you to wake up with
a double shot of energy.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Correct, there you go. Let's give it a shot. Next week,
It's time for good News with Marcus and Corey.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Go.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Sometimes all you need is the one a good thought
to make it a great day. So let's do this.
It's good News on Star one one three.

Speaker 1 (24:21):

We do good Samaritans, we do little kids doing big things.
We celebrate things you have going on at your house
if you share it with us via DM or private message.
We do like to keep it local. Mine is some
personal good news and it's proof that customer service is
not dead and all not all heroes wear capes. Because

(24:42):
I got to get a shout out to a couple
of people who really helped me out yesterday. Yeah, yeah,
I don't know if you my struggles with FedEx over
the last couple.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Of weeks I have been here.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
I had a package that needed to get to me.
To be honest, it was it's our trust and the
documents are all executed, and they my lawyer sent them
and they kept trying to deliver to my house. They
needed a signature, but they kept coming through at like
eleven o'clock in the morning. Who's home. So anyway, I
get the notice, we're going to return this package unless

(25:13):
you make a plan to pick it up at one
of our centers. So I made a plan to pick
it up at the Milbray location and they said, okay,
well we'll text you when it's ready. That nobody live.
This was through the tree recording. Well I never got
a text. I get a call eight thirty at night, Hey,
you don't pick this up by tomorrow at noon, it's

(25:33):
going back, I'm.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Like, well, I never got a call.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Or a tax trady. So the next morning I'm panicking
because I'm not going to get there by noon. We're working.
The nicest lady picked up and she was like, don't worry, Marcus,
I'm going to set it aside for you.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
Oh that's nice.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
So shout out to Alicia and my man yeltsin at
the Milbray location FedEx. They're on Broadway. They're the best.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
I always like that customer service aspect.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
I got to give a shout out to my dentist
because they are so on top of things. When it
comes to text messaging, they're like, hey, your appointments this time,
blah blah blah. But the other day, like an hour
before my appointment, they're like, hey, we're running ten minutes behind.
They texted me said we're running ten minutes behind, so.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
You don't have to waste your time, right.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
It was so great, next.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Level customer service. What's this place.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Called King Dental. It's like literally crossing Oracle.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Okay, shout out over there. Shout again, a shout out
to the FedEx center there in Milbray on Broadway. My
lady Alicia, who helped me out with my issue. Everything
is resolved. I got my package and I'm here for it.
