Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's Maria's MutS and Stuff.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
What a great idea on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Welcome to Maria's Mutts and Stuff. I had some technical
difficulties with this following chat, so please bear with it.
I salvage what I could, but with me is actor
and animal advocate Brooke Shields with her latest endeavor with
a pet product Prospect Pet. Yes, you've gone to the dogs.
(00:33):
So how did it all begin?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Well? I met the team at prop Pet and was
just very the idea that it came from this farm
and their whole concept.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Products they were thinking and making.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Fortunately it got on into the world of put my
dog sick and sure make it a pain type of
to how we treat them, and that we're putting in
and on their bodies.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
About what I was giving them to eat.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
They told me about there here, and they told me
about their scanning coat and all these things that I
could have could at least, if not have a longer,
have a less itchy and so I think so it
just be key the importance that they clean and conscious
they source their materials, and what they that their glucosamine
was planting, and all of these things that you granted
(01:17):
or you think it was eye opening in this time
where I was very the health of my dog global material.
You know, it's part of the puzzle. The messages need
to be out well. I wonder if I can facilitate
getting them as a conduit.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I see it and I.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
See other dogs, and you know, I'm allergic to dogs,
and it's a little less straw.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I'm not inhaling, you know, every allergic sure so healthier benefiting.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
So many times when people they have them anyway, and
it's it's difficult. I think many times love their pets,
but they don't really pay to the ingredients till something happens.
Then they're almost forced to eye opening.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Where it comes from.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yet an American bulldog who ended up hips and and
she the sell and her stomach kind of flipped on it.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah, he died on the operator.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I am sure that something that may have it wouldn't
have happened. I mean, maybe it would have happened. There's
so I look back now, try to not do it
with regret.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I want to tell you this, you did everything you
could do. Myself a the same thing, but I completely
understand because you beat yourself up and you could I
have done better.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
But we've got toosy now, a little bag of rocks
with legs.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
That's I like that description is toosy.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
We're told she's a staffy.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Doctor was like, no, that's sure. That is maybe even
part Boston, not cute.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
I'm not yay, not not that we wanted to pure bread.
That's of course, no, I get it so okay with
so they have at this point, okay.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
It's been enjoying, and you just pump it on their food.
He waits for it.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Now the coat health also a pump and they're in
a metal bottle pressive and then there's a paw protector
that's not bees wag.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
That stuff is good, especially on surfacess on the beach.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
She I didn't really would be all red and she'd
me and so now that's hew fault in New York.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Sure, outside our.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
House, it's like standing in the first step of the
pool and I was like, oh.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
The wrong yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Jumping on the chairs and you know for the longest times,
and I'm like, you wear paws on.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
The right on the Oh.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
The people can.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Feel really safe, you know, they do a lot of
like third every single batch. Sure that there's no happiens
or all of esticides like aren't.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
But they still do the they'd be able to be
clean and car and be totally transparent. That that's really important.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Done that for ourselves exactly. To me, it's like all
the stuff that we take care of ours and look
into things and look at the prodgredient for our dogs
big dog products, not cat yet we will do all
of it. I'm assuming they're pretty the young company, very
quite young.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Actually I've known them for a few years, not just
all at the getting and this is a formal launch
teage a bit of the label. It's just sort of
that just made more sense and things we learned.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
As the time went on. Sure, so you are part
of the process of Battel and.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
The things that happens, and they'd be like, oh, this
would be better and you know, make it a bit
more friendliness to it.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Sure trusted you a part of the process.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
I think that they asked me.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I mean, you know, I think that the hard to achieve,
you know, the clean mark and the all of that,
that those are the things that take so much there,
you know, cuts of it and working so hard and
I'm just impressed passion that they.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Have for them it's from their heart and their soul.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
All have you know, dogs and.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
With companies that are doing the right thing. So that's
funny and support.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
It's just truthful and apparent.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
What products they might down the road or soon.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I think we want to make sure.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
That they really that this catches on so they can
establish themselves even though they are right that we can,
you know, don't over start with this and this and
nectar and billy because this is new.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
It is new, and I really did talk to them
about this too. I have my own company.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
We needed some traction and I think it's important to mers,
especially pet owners another life, you know, trust Prospect pagent
sure and there are actually working right. Then the feedback
is what about their eyes and like homa or whatever it.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Is like there was that.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
I'm sure that they will go in all science backed
and knowledgeable.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
So I think that that's just at this moment, have.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
These three, Yeah, have these three for now and like
you said, for your products, you have six. Well this
has been wonderful and for my listener, so Prospect pet
the three products.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
At this moment we're and well we're going in all
two to get the right now. I think they're in
the first day.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Okay, they're finding brick and mortar in how to launch that, Okay,
we full go to market.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Is this is sort of to the brand?
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Got it? Okay? Please can we talk again.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
And feedback?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
And you know a lot of people have been saying,
my dog is running around now and gathering all of
that and.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
If this is a startup, that really is important to us.
This is what we feel and we breathing, choosing the
ears so that to carry people through this process.
