Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm Tayla and you're watching my most requested Live Ask
Anything Chat thanks to Romeo and most requested Live for
having me on tonight to talk about my new song
Watch This. Hayley from Greenville, North Carolina asked, how did
you get the name Tayla? So, I've never really talked
about this before. My government name is not Tayla, it

(00:22):
is Taylor May, and I never went by Taylor May.
I always went by tay Everyone including my own parents,
called me tay Tae growing up, and my last name
was La Coore. So at some point when I was
like fourteen or fifteen, just merged and everyone started calling

(00:43):
me Tayla, and I kept that forever. So that's where
that came from. Lauren from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania asked how many
chicken nuggets do you think you could eaven one setting.
I'm gonna be very real with y'all. I can put
down some chicken nuggets. My kids eat them. I eat
them when they eat them. It gives me an excuse

(01:04):
to eat them, and I love them, so I feel like,
to just be realistic, I could probably put down a
twenty piece if I was being challenged to eat more.
Than that, I could probably eat thirty chicken nuggets. I'm
not even gonna lie. I could eat thirty chicken nuggets

(01:24):
if I had to, if I had to win, but
like easily. Twenty Violet Violetta, that is a beautiful name
from Queens, New York asked did you cross over to
country for a quick second two years ago? How was that? So? Fun? Fact,
I actually crossed over to pop music. I have always

(01:48):
been in the country music industry. I was writing country
music years before I ever did my own artist thing.
And I love pop music. I had a passion for it,
but I started out in country. My main passion is
country music, and I actually went into pop music and
then blew up in pop music. And now I am

(02:09):
slowly starting to go back to my roots and incorporate
more country leaning things into my stuff. So yeah. M
Cassie from Indianapolis, Indiana asked what was your first job?
I was fifteen years old and I worked in a
tanning salon back in my hometown. What was it called?

(02:32):
Sun Seekers? Wow? Sunseekers? That was my first job. I
loved it. I still think about working in that tanning salon.
It was like so chill there wasn't that many people
in my town. So sat there, read books, got to
see everyone I loved every day and free tanning. It

(02:54):
was pretty great. Jennifer from Dallas, Texas asked, what was
the first song that you knew all the words to?
It was Jenny from the Block j Lo. I actually
have a video of me singing it when I was
five four or five and I had my little head
song on and I was like, don't be fool by

(03:16):
the rocks that I got. I'm still I'm still Jenny
fund the Black. That was the first one. And if
that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about me,
I don't know. Okay, Last, but not least, Kelly from Chicago,
Illinois asked, how did watch this come together? Watch This
was a surprise. I had not planned on putting out

(03:39):
that song. I went into the studio just kind of
messing around one day and I was all fired up
about something that my ex did and I was like,
I'm gonna get him out of here. Like I remember,
he said, like one of us is gonna have to
leave this city, and I was like, well, what of us?
Eat me? So I started writing about it, and the

(04:02):
second that I came up with that hook. I was
just like, Oh, this is it, and I think like
an hour later I posted a little bit of it
in my car to TikTok and it just kind of
went crazy from there. I love it so much. I
still feel like it's probably one of my favorite songs
I've ever written. It's gonna be hard to beat it,
and I'm excited for more people to hear it because

(04:22):
it's just now starting to kind of get around. So yeah,
that was hit. Thanks for watching my Most Requested Live,
Ask Anything Chat, and thank you again to Romeo and
Most Requested Live for having me on tonight. I'm so excited.
